I've made multiple attempts to cancel my wife's and my membership at this gym as we moved out of the area. Even with multiple efforts, different emails, different text messages to different staff. I've been tossed around and never had a resolution to get this canceled. Unfortunately, now I have to go through the long process with my bank to recover the funds instead.
Overall, great gym with good equipment, but major inconveniences and gaps in customer service. I would highly encourage you to invest in your health and well-being at a different gym.

Working with Coach Nicky has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and healing. I started training with him right after tearing my ACL and meniscus, and he’s supported me every step of the way—from prehab and surgery through the ups and downs of recovery.
What truly sets Coach Nicky apart is how deeply he cares. He’s helped me rebuild not just my strength, but also my mindset. He didn’t just push me through the tough moments—he helped me understand that the lows are a natural and necessary part of recovery. That perspective changed everything for me.
He’s incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always tailors his approach to your individual needs—from training plans to nutrition guidance. If you’re looking for a coach who genuinely invests in your growth and wellbeing, Coach Nicky is the real deal and overall just an amazing human.

I recently joined the UFC Kailua gym with friendly staff and a positive atmosphere. There’s a diverse mix of people, which adds to the experience. I was dealing with significant pain in my IT band, but trainers Chelsea and Trevor helped relieve it through targeted stretching and strengthening exercises.
I also had the opportunity to train with UFC fighter Grayson, where I learned how to throw a punch, slip a punch, cover up when being hit, and some take-down techniques.
I'm looking forward to joining some of the evening group classes they offer. I recommend purchasing training hours when you sign up, as they come at a discounted rate.

I’ve been with UFC Kailua since it first opened, tried some coaching and decided it wasn’t for me.
Recently I have been having issues with my joints and muscle, particularly my right shoulder. Raising my right arm greater than 90 degrees was very difficult without causing pain in my shoulder and my upper body workout was getting very difficult.
One day I saw Coach Nicki Macaluso’s flyer for assisted stretching and sports massage and decided to sign up for an initial consultation. Although hesitant at first, after my initial consultation I was very impressed and comfortable with him. So I signed up for 2 months of sessions.
My sessions usually started with sports massage & assisted stretching, then on to learning self-stretching and exercises to strengthen smaller muscles I never knew I had. We started with my shoulders and by the 4th week I was able to raise my right arm 180 deg without pain. Week 5 we moved on to core and legs, by the time my sessions was complete I felt stronger than I have been in a long while.
Coach Nicki has a great knowledge of the human muscular anatomy and has the ability to really get in tune with your body. He’s taught me a lot about my muscular anatomy and my work out routine. With the tools he has given me I am excited to see how much further I can improve in the next 3 months. Beyond helping me feel less pain, gaining strength and flexibility, he has greatly improved my quality of life
After sessions with Coach Nicki, I have change of perspective on coaching. UFC has a lot of good coaches, it’s just a matter of finding one that fits you. If you have a joint and muscle issues I would highly recommend Coach Nicki, I am very happy that I did.

I’ve tried a few gyms in the area and this is by far my favorite! I love the layout, the equipment, the classes, and the awesome coaches! Signing up was super easy and they explain everything in detail; I knew exactly what I was signing up for. I am so happy with UFC in Kailua and I highly recommend it!

Customer service needs a lot of help there for the front desk. I usually go to the Waikele location but decided to go to Kailua because it’s closer to my job. The first time I went there the lady at the front desk was arguing with me that I didn’t have a guest pass when I clearly have the champion membership. She proceeded to say that all ufc is franchised and that I can only use it at my home gym (Waikele) she then proceeded to tell my guest he has to pay. I said no. I been to Mililani multiple times and they had not said anything about guest pass being only at Waikele. She then rolled her eyes and said hold on. Then said oh never mind you’re good. She didn’t even apologize. Her face presence didn’t even look like she even wanted to be there working. So I said maybe she had a rough day. The next time I go she’s there again. I check in and she doesn’t even say hi or anything. She just stares. As I was leaving I booked cryo for 7:30 and before I spoke to the front desk they were talking to two gentleman that was trying to check in, they were giving them a hard time about not having a towel. Which I understand. You need to follow policy. But when I checked in they didn’t ask for a towel. They then told the guys they need to leave. I went up and said I booked online cryo at 7:30 and they said oh we shut it down at 7:30 so we can’t do it. Then said online booking doesn’t work and I need to sign up on a paper. Well why not block online booking? There should be better communication about that. I don’t think I would ever go back to ufc Kailua. The worst customer service ever. The front desk person should not be working there. I wish I got her name. I was so frustrated with both experiences. I work in customer service and I would never ever speak to any guest like how she did. Don’t argue with your guest if you don’t have the right information. I know a few people that go there because they live in Kailua and it’s convenient. They said that girl in the front desk always has attitude problems too and they would switch gyms but the commute is to long for them. The local girl in the front desk with heavy eye lashes needs more training ASAP

There are gyms and there are trainers. What sets them apart is based on what each offers and what you need. My trainer is Mike Felizco and I am really impressed with what he teaches. Its not about the big muscles but all the smaller muscle that work together. Guess I have been working on Big muscles but now the small muscles are really kicking in. Correct posture for every exercise makes a huge difference. Mike has done and is doing a great job teaching me more about posture and what a difference it is making. I think he is outstanding and clients need to give him a try. They will be impressed!!!

I started working out at the UFC gym in Kailua. I was talked into taking fighting sessions for approximately $500.00 i asked that they give me time to get in better shape. Since then, I moved from Hawaii and am no longer able to take the classes. Mike explained that it is not refundable and I can give it to a friend or family. I will never see the $500.00 again due to my family and friends living in other states. I do not recommend and wish I had went to a gym that at least understands that $500.00 is a large amount of money to not be refundable. Do not pay the expensive payment for the fighting classes!!!

Love this gym except for the interesting... cancellation policy... (cancel at least 21 days before next billing or get charged again no matter what!)
I'm not gonna lie i do vaguely recall it being mentioned on signup... Still a terrible policy.
Really sucks since I won't even be on the island to use my membership 🥲
But I'm fair. It's a great gym otherwise, so I'll give a solid 3/5.

Went into the gym asking for a membership with my card in hand ready to go, unfortunately Annesa told me that they were too busy and I could try again a hour later to see if a new membership specialist shows up. I guess I’m just going to keep my membership at 24 hour fitness then.

I don’t typically leave reviews but I have had the worst experience working with UFC gym only for financial reasons. The equipment and staff are nice but I have experienced multiple billing issues since joining the gym. I have talked to staff and corporate multiple times about issuing a refund for a canceled add on and they either can’t help or don’t respond. This has cost me hundreds of dollars. I have been trying since September of 2024 (5 almost 6 months) to get a refund issued and still have not received any help. The only reason they stopped charging me was because I contacted the fraud department at my bank and had them manually cancel the transactions. I then switched payment methods to my credit card and they somehow started randomly billing me $25 on top of my $60 membership for no reason. If you have a membership and it’s on auto pay check your bank statements and I guarantee there’s a charge on there you didn’t authorize. Bunch of thieves…

Just joined this gym. Bobby helped me with the sign up process. The gym itself has plenty of high quality machines and different areas to do whatever you want to do. What sold it for me was the child care. The room was very clean and well maintained. The ladies in there are very friendly and helpful! My daughter is terrified of people. However, when I went to pick her up, she didn’t want to leave. Very impressed with UFC Kailua! Thank you to all who have welcomed us with open arms!

Gym is average but my issue is with the owner of the gym Bobby or whatever his name is. I was out in Kailua for the summer and needed somewhere to train so I talk to the owner and everything he’s said has been a lie. Scammed me for the starting price and added fees that I didn’t know about to my card. When addressed about this issue, “Bobby” said he would refund me and this has never happened. Straight Scam. Better off finding a local gym to support. There is a common theme with the bad reviews when you check them and one of them is the owner who is very unprofessional and the fact they mismanage their members money.

All man seeing all these reviews good, great and some bad I would say go to a really bad gym like Anytime Fitness for a year then try UFC.... This place is 10 times better and alittle less cheaper,,, 6 times the size with more equipment and helpful staff. There's tvs for me to zone out on cardio and there's lockers to lock your stuff in,,, Anytime Fitness goes through some many managers that if anything happens like getting your vehicle towed in their small parking lot,,,,, your S.O.L!!!!!
I am very grateful to ignore the bad reviews and check out the place myself.... one hour of checking out UFC,,, I didn't need the free pass,, I sign up right away and started working out,, Actions speak louder words,,, get it done!

UPDATE #2: At this point I’m just going to use this review as a running problem log. I got charged a $62 “enhancement fee” this month after my 12 months at the gym. Crazy part is nothing was ✨enhanced✨, quite the opposite actually the gym has consitenty gotten worse. Just another reason to dislike this gym.
UPDATE: Why is everything always broken? I got on 4 different treadmills before I finally found one that worked. This gym is terribly maintained that’s why everything is falling apart.
Definitely the best gym on the Windward side but that comes with the downside of being extremely packed during normal peak hours 4pm-7pm M-F. Other than that nothing to complain about, energy is great and everyone is very friendly. They could definitely benefit from opening another similar location in Kaneohe.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with UFC Gym Kailua. I was a member for just one month and canceled my membership 7 days into the next month, but it ended up costing me over $1,000. Despite having email confirmation that my account was closed, the gym claimed they couldn't reach me via phone regarding an overdue amount and continued to charge me for additional months without informing me. They accidentally double-charged me for last payment, and even after two months, I haven't received a refund of the $300 they owe me.
The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. When I visited in person to resolve the issue, the manager told me not to bother him, even though he had previously confirmed my account closure via email. I felt blamed for their mistakes despite having clear email communication to support my case. I've reported them to the authorities due to these unethical practices.
Additionally, the gym itself is poorly maintained—it's dirty, the equipment is old, and the bathrooms smell unpleasant. This was consistent across all UFC Gyms I visited on Oahu (Kailua, Honolulu, Mililani). Do yourself a favor and choose another gym. It might be okay if you don't have any issues, but if you do, expect a lack of support and accountability.

Life-Changing Training Experience with Coach Vega!!
***This is not a gym review but my experience with a personal training with Coach Vega at UFC in Kailua.
I’ve been training with Coach Vega since I joined UFC gym, and he’s completely transformed my fitness journey. As a total beginner with no idea how to exercise or lose weight, Coach Vega made everything easy to understand and approachable. From day one, he took the time to understand my goals, fitness level, and any limitations. What sets Coach Vega apart is his personalized approach—every workout is tailored to my needs, and no two sessions are the same. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve lost 24 lbs (and still going) without ever feeling like I had to starve myself. His balanced approach to fitness and nutrition has helped me gain strength, endurance, and overall confidence, all while staying injury-free. What I love most about Coach Vega is his positive attitude. Even on tough days, he keeps me motivated and energized. If you want a knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated trainer who will push you to your best, I highly recommend Coach Vega!! The results speak for themselves!!

Terrible Customer Service - Membership Cancellation Nightmare
I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with UFC Gym. I tried to cancel my membership on SEP 6, 2024 and have sent five emails over the past few weeks with no response (mind you these emails got sent to two different managers as well as a Sales Rep). I even went in person to speak with someone about canceling SEP 15 2024, and they assured me it would be taken care of. (Followed up 11 days later SEP 26 2024 and never heard back) Yet, my account is still being charged!
It’s disappointing to see a gym with such a big name have such poor customer service and lack of communication. It's unacceptable to ignore multiple requests to cancel a membership. I would not recommend this gym to anyone unless you’re prepared to jump through hoops to get anything done. Now I'm out my Last month dues PLUS the month they charged me $268. But don't worry when I finally got ahold of someone to cancel today THE 4TH PERSON IVE SPOKEN TOO, she ensured me I was able to use the gym until November 28th. (PS that women deserves a raise. she was the only person to handle this situation with any care or consideration at all and actually cancelled my membership like i have been asking for over a month. She just cant issue refunds. but unlike everyone else was extremely apologetic for the absolute circus it has been.)
Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!

The entire staff from front desk employees, trainers, and General Manager are just awesome! We have been coming to this location almost daily for nearly 6 months and they have welcomed us like family. We utilize the kid’s care, and the staff watching over our daughter have been so kind and communicative. I feel at ease knowing these staff members are caring for my daughter.
This is a busy gym so it can be crowded at times and machines will go down every now and then. That is what happens when equipment gets used a lot! That being said, they do a fantastic job keeping up with the maintenance on high priority equipment. In addition, even though it can be crowded, the atmosphere is electric and it is pleasant to be around.
If you are looking for a gym that offers child care in Hawaii then UFC gym will be your only option so you might as well pick this one because it is the best one! Honestly, even without childcare, everything you get included with the champion membership is unbeatable. I would highly recommend this as your next gym. All of the classes they offer are amazing!
Whether you want to trial run it to see for yourself, or just get straight to the point and sign up; make sure to ask for Bobby because he will make sure you are well taken care of.

Everything at this gym is broken, and they’re either too cheap or too mismanaged to fix it. Yoga mats are cracked and ripped, machines have rust, TVs were broken for the better part of last year (fixed now), door to classroom is broken so you have to listen to the god awful music they play during your yoga class. I asked about the broken door months ago (see above, they never fix things) and was told “it’s not a priority”. Now, even though the small number of people in the gym are wearing AirPods, they won’t turn down said god awful music to a normal level so that the full yoga class can enjoy their hour.
I realize the dues that keep the place running are from the gym, not the classes, but just be aware that if you sign up, you are NOT getting a first class gym experience. I’d say it’s low- mid, emphasis on low. 24 Hours Kaneohe is much better, the Y is much cheaper. Thats the only catch here- convenience to kailua people. Take what I say with a grain of salt, as I’m not into using the gym much, and I feel ok giving at least one star because the yoga classes are awesome. The broken machines are not an inconvenience because they do have a ton of cardio machines. The dirty classroom floors may not bother you, it’s a gym, you’ll need to shower after anyway. But I figure I would complain first and maybe they will fix the door and all the other things.

I went to a "ufc gym" in kailua on Oahu with no octagon, so....not a real ufc gym. I signed up because I
was sold on bonus massage therapy service as I'm a disabled combat vet with the 82nd Airborne infantry and a messed up back. The next day on the phone, I am setting up a future massage, and the lady tells me she can't legally give an actual massage but use a massage gun. I said no, that's not what I was told and sold on. I told her to cancel my membership. I've never used the gym, and now I'm being told by a collections agency I owe $900 plus. Wow, thanks, UFC GYM Kailua, you really know how to take care of your Veterans

If you can get to the gym around 1pm it’s amazing! If you work and can only be there around 4-5, personally I would cancel my membership, would give this a 4 star rating if their god treadmills were constantly not working.
2 star - if I can only be there during peak times, it’s packed plus the non working equipment makes it more challenging to get some good cardio in.
4 stars -if I am there and can use one of the good treadmills.
The staff are nice and they keep it clean.

The thought of anyone else having the same experience I endured at UFC Gym leaves me feeling nauseous. After being gifted a personal training session, I was excited to finally check out the high-end equipment and personal trainers I’ve heard great things about. For context, I am a full-time fitness instructor, I exercise every day, and I have an athletic build. I came here to change up my workout, but instead of the time being spent showcasing all the benefits the gym has to offer, I was shown its ugly side, and I left feeling mentally pushed to my limits.
The session started with an assessment that included having my body fat measured. To do this, the male trainer opted for calipers, despite handheld self-measurement devices being available. He had me stand up in a highly trafficked area right next to the front desk. Here, he used the calipers to clamp down on the body fat on my arms, back and lower abdomen - one of a woman’s most sensitive and self-conscious areas. I was mortified to be asked to pull my waistband down so he could squeeze such a vulnerable spot while in plain sight of dozens of gym goers. It felt dehumanizing and left me questioning the gym’s policies against harassment.
It almost seemed as though there was no purpose in having my body fat measured other than to cause humiliation. Rather than telling me the results, the trainer had me walk over to the computer to read them, and he didn’t offer any context. The only point of reference was a visual on the wall that showed bodybuilders with 10% body fat at one end of the spectrum and plus-size models with 30-40% at the other. My results put me in the range of the heaviest-set model who is visibly several sizes larger than me. It felt incredibly manipulative.
I had hoped things would take a turn for the better once the physical portion finally started, but it was over almost as soon as it began. After having me remove my shoes, the trainer dedicated a mere 15 minutes to having me perform the most very basic exercises, including squats, lunges, pushups and deadlifts using a PVC pipe. No weights were used, nor were any machines, and there was nothing personal about it. Considering my profession and visible muscle tone, I felt confused by the trainer having me do the bare minimum. It also felt embarrassing to be the only person without shoes lifting a weightless piece of plastic. Was this kind of “personal training” really supposed to convince me to hire this trainer?
Apparently he thought so and suggested I spend nearly $3K on his program. Despite the hefty price tag, there was no mention of what types of exercise the program would entail, and I was given zero insight into the trainer’s qualifications and abilities. When I reminded him that I was simply there to redeem a gift certificate and had no intention of spending thousands of dollars, he brought in reinforcements.
I was stunned by how condescending the manager was toward me. I was told he was brought over to tell me the specials, but when I inquired, he ignored me. He made rude jabs at my profession as well as comments that insulted my intelligence. When he informed me that my primary focus should be on nutrition, I asked him then why would he expect me to spend $3K on a workout program.
At this point I was at a loss for words and excused myself from the conversation. The trainer did follow me and apologized on behalf of the manger. Despite voicing some remorse, I don’t feel like he, nor his superiors at UFC, truly understand how triggering his actions could be for many - especially women. It’s unfortunate that a man felt comfortable speaking to me in a condescending tone, but it is a far greater issue that a man felt comfortable grabbing at the skin beneath my waistband in the middle of a room full of men.
It pains me to leave any business such a low-scoring review, but the 1 star does accurately reflect my experience. It is my hope that this review urges UFC to promptly reevaluate the tactics I had to endure in my single visit, which were akin to body shaming, misogyny and even harassment.

I was told it was taken care of. After returning to work, they IMMEDIATELY withdrew the cost I couldn't afford. I went back to Mario, and he seemed to not care about helping. They're supposed to make notes on your account, but none were made after countless visits, phone calls, and emails. The gym seems nice, but the staff incompetent. Absolutely not worth the paper.

Huge cheers to Coach Elvin. I’ve been attending his boxing classes for almost 2 years and he has taught me so much! My form and technique have completely turned around for the better. He will push you hard and make you challenge yourself beyond what you think you’re capable of. At the same time, he is also very encouraging towards new people and will take the time to make sure they know the combos rather than just leaving them to figure things out alone. My entire workout experience has drastically changed, my drive is stronger, and my confidence has been lifted and I owe so, so much of it to him & his classes.
Also, Coaches Martin & Ku’ulei. Martin is so good with his students and seems to really care about teaching them. Ku’ulei is so generous with her knowledge and time - she is very patient and also seems to really want her students to get better. I can’t always make her classes but when I can, I absolutely love and appreciate the way she teaches and pushes us!
Thanks to all these coaches who have worked with & assisted me throughout my time here - You make a difference and you are appreciated!!

I've NEVER written a negative review of a business before but here we are.
After three in-person attempts to cancel my membership (5 if we're counting over the phone/digital), I was wrongfully charged for another month and an annual fee. After several attempts to get ahold of a manager (in-person visits and over the phone), I finally got in contact with a female supervisor (I forget her name) who confirmed that the charge was wrongful and said I would receive a refund within two weeks. I waited two weeks, nothing happened, so I've contacted the gym again four times since and every person that answers the phone apparently has no idea where a manager is or when they will be on-site again. They always take my phone number, no one ever calls.
What's going on UFC? The sales rep, LJ, who signed me up said this is supposedly one of the nicest and most prized locations in the nation because Dana White himself comes here to train when he's in town which I guess is often because he has real estate in Kailua or something. If this is the best UFC has to offer that's super embarrassing because the lack of professionalism, disorganization, lack of follow through, and lack of communication among team members whether it's regarding SOPs or customer service is off the charts. As a worker or a customer I've never had such a difficult and unprofessional experience with a business, let alone a NATIONAL CORPORATION which usually have extremely structured and standardized operating procedures and chains of command. I needed to speak to a manager at a 7/11 recently and even their overnight workers at 2am knew their manager's schedule for THE ENTIRE WEEK and were able to tell me exactly when would be an appropriate time to come to speak to them.
At this point UFC has not only wrongfully charged me for an annual fee that's not being used and a whole month of membership dues that were also not used, but also wasted a huge amount of my gas money and time for me to drive down there just to be told there's no manager available and they don't know when they will be. But when I call the only answer they have for me is to come down in person or wait for a phone call that never comes?? EXTREMELY unprofessional.
The only reason I cancelled my membership is because they don't have a sauna anymore which I've found to be extremely helpful and beneficial in my health and wellness routine. But because of this terrible and toxic experience attempting to "break up" with the gym I will most definitely never be a UFC gym member anywhere ever again. My coach was helpful and there's cool people that train there but its definitely overrated considering you pay premium prices for less amenities than you could get elsewhere and the customer service is trash. Not worth the headache- not all that glitters is gold. Might as well get a cheaper membership somewhere else and work with a trainer privately-you can pay less, they get to keep more, and you're more likely to get treated like a person instead of a cash in for their sales quota, which is my interpretation of why I still don't have a refund that a manager admitted I was rightfully owed a whole two months later.
Definitely not giving up though. I guess fighters wanna fight 😂 on to the social media comments section I go.

Also leaving a poor review because of ongoing issues with billing. The company makes billing errors due to no fault of the customer and each error adds a $23 "service charge" to your account. They don't reimburse the charges and good luck getting any response from somebody who can assist. If you try to handle it through the app you likely won't be able to even process the payment and you will be stuck with the charges. The company knows billing is a problem (read the various reviews). They don't care and won't make it right if it happens to you.

Cons: I called proactively before my 2 year prepaid membership period expired (I was leaving the gym at that time) to ensure I would not be billed anything extra since I had a guest pass added to my membership which was billed monthly. The front desk said I wouldn’t but if I did just call back and they would get it refunded. After my membership expired I was billed an additional 2 months for a guest pass I could not use. I’ve been patiently calling and emailing the general manager and manager for 3 months and have been told they are looking into it but have not been reimbursed and have had to follow up many many times since they are slow to reply. It’s too bad because I was a fan of the gym. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but not sure what other recourse is available given the lack of action by management. A caution to those who do sign up as it seems other reviewers have had similar issues with billing when trying to leave the gym.

I am unfortunately dissatisfied with UFC Gym Kailua, where I have spent thousands of dollars on memberships for my family. Our initial experience was positive, but we've recently faced several issues, particularly with the kids' classes. We were assured by the sales team that our children would fit well in the classes and that their age and maturity level would not be an issue. However, after paying annual fees, signup fees, first and last monthly fees, the trainers raised concerns about their age, contradicting what the sales person told us.
We brought this issue to Mike, the manager, who promised to schedule and perform an assessment of whether our kids were suitable for the classes and mentioned a refund if not. Unfortunately, this follow-up and assessment never happened. Even after a follow-up with Mike, who seemed to acknowledge the oversight, there's been no progress.
Further, we've encountered additional problems with the class instructors who have rolled their eyes at my wife at her insistence that they have a membership and were told they could join the kids classes. They have also refused to allow the kids into the class on one occasion. Repeated attempts to reach Mike for a resolution have led to promised call-backs that never materialize. I'm hopeful for a resolution and an opportunity to update this review positively, pending Mike's response. So far I would not recommend signing up your kids at this gym. While I may be wrong, I am getting the impression for a number of other reason that this gym uses sleazy sales tactics and dodges complaints to avoid dealing with their unmet promises.

Great cardio to even enter this gym. They have EVERYTHING for a killer workout. It’s humid in there as well so it doesn’t take much to start sweating and keep that sweat for your whole workout. The music was on point (even though I wear headphones) $50 in retail purchases gets your week membership covered.

Sunday 9-23-2023, way after pandemic this gym is telling twenty to thirty gym members five minutes to 7PM . Re rack your weights we close in five minutes. Then 1 minute to 7PM, the staff shuts off all the lights on the gym floor making it hard for twenty to thirty people to see their way out of gym. Making it a hazard to trip over something. They are not just blinking the lights. Missing those seven days a week longer hours. Saturday and Sunday seem to be favorite days to work out.
Missing a former gym with 24 hour seven days a week . The plus about this gym still is the nice rest rooms. And lots of cleaning supplies around for members and staff. Friendly staff.

UFC’s DUT and boxing class is so great and keeps me accountable. But now.. along with that, I’m going to Coach NIKKI’s semi-private BOOTY SCULPTING 90 day class and it’s amazing! She helps your form every step of the way and the class is small enough so she can watch and improve your form. Great attention to detail, high reps, and before and after pics to see your progress at the end of the 3 month class. She’s so strong and motivating!

I have been training with Coach Kiana Blankenfeld (@surfmama_kiana) for the last year and it/she has been life changing for me! She has built my confidence in the gym like no other Coach. She's accountable, motivating, organized, dedicated, and just a straight up bada$$ human being. She treats the gym as if it's her own. Organizing what's already there, bringing in new equipment, along with unique classes (like her Surfset class - I've never seen that at another gym). If you are looking for a Coach, consider this your sign. All of my friends I've sent her way feel exactly the same as I do! She is able to meet you where you are at and then guide you to where you want to be, at a reasonable yet challenging pace. I feel like a different person and am eager for what's to come by working with Coach Kiana.

I had the pleasure of working with coach Joleen at the end of 2022 for a series of PT sessions. Joleen was super knowledgable, answered my (many) questions to help me understand various elements and improve my training. Being a new mom, having Joleen's support to design training sessions to help me re-build my core strength was invaluable! Joleen was great at pushing me to do things I wouldn't have thought I could do otherwise, while also being understanding when I truly hit my limits. I only wish I could have worked with Joleen for longer before we moved off island! Thank you Coach Joleen for all of your support and encouragement :D

Sadly I had to climb the stairs but not to work out , to cancel my membership because I was diagnosed with cancer , I had been a member for years . So this day I went to cancel and two gentlemen working told me they couldn’t help me because “ they’re understaffed and everything is now done online “ . So what is the purpose of you being here ? I wasn’t told to go online when UFC was taking my money to join . I was brushed off because I look the part of a cancer patient and not the epitome of shining health anymore. Poor staff etiquette 💯

Ufc gym Kailua has no moral compass when it comes to money.
In 2021 I provided a deployment verification letter which I was assured by Robert Serrano that my membership would be frozen for the duration of my deployment. Fast forward mid deployment I noticed they had been charging me for every month. Unable to contact management who seems to only work when it is convenient to them, I was forced to pay my monthly bill. Fast forward again, I get orders to change duty stations. I try talking to management every time I went to go work out and they were no where to be found. Now ufc gym graciously blows my phone up about past due payments. Unable to contact them due to training exercises I called them as soon as I could. They want me to pay the full bill and neglect to take any responsibility for their actions and just want as much money as they can scrounge around for.
Overall, horrible management and total neglect for respecting customers.

She is encouraging, fun to work with knowledgeable, and and best of all walks the talk. By far the best personal trainer I’ve ever gotten to work with.
Also,
I came into boxing with 0 experience and felt nervous about my inexperience. Elvin was always encouraging, caring and a pleasure to work with. He taught me so much about boxing and helped me to increase my fitness! I’m really grateful I got to learn from him.

One of the worst gyms I’ve seen. Expensive, crowded always, machines are really bad for muscle building, not enough benches, light placement is awful, too many cardio machines, no squat or deadlifting really at all. Pretty small too only gym I can go to but it’s god awful. Like why is there only 3-4 flat benches and two adjustable inclines it makes no sense. Sometimes I go and can’t even workout and have to go home and wait till later.

UFC Kailua is very clean, open and has a lot of natural light coming into their space. Its on the second floor which is fine, you can get a pre warm-up walking up the stairs or there is a elevator. Theres lots of parking. I enjoy working out here. I have gone to the UFC waipahu before prefer Kailua instead because of how bright it is. They have all the equipment you would expect from the UFC gyms but they do not have octagon which I personally feel is fine, but I know a lot of others would not be happy.

Been a member here for 9 months, gotten to use the power racks 1 month out of these 9. They went down for "construction" about a month after I joined. They said it would be a few weeks before they are back, they are still down. Poor communication and bad management. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE INTO POWER LIFTING. I have sent in a multitude of emails which have not been responded to and every time I ask the gym staff why they are still down or when they will be back, I get a slew of different answers.

The gym is new and spacious, but that doesn't change the fact that their management team lacks any skill in customer service. After trying to get Bobby Serrano or Tina Kuhaulua to respond for a week to email, phone calls and even in-person visits to the gym (where management stayed in the office - where I can see them from the front desk - and made the front desk staff relay messages), I am not any closer to resolving my issue. Corporate will direct you back to your local gym, so that doesn't help either.

My wife and I enjoyed the UFC Kailua location while we had our membership, but we're very disappointed with the gym now because they won't refund money they owe us. In August, I ended our membership to save $$. UFC then charged us in Nov. for monthly dues. I contacted the gym immediately to make sure our membership was cancelled and a refund sent. It has now been 2 months, and UFC STILL HAS NOT refunded what we were illegally charged. It's not a ton of money, but it's the principal that UFC won't or can't handle their business professionally. I would seriously question financial commitments with UFC.

Very nice, single story gym. They've got a turf, small mat area, and kids workout areas, but no octagon like other gyms. This gym is smallish, but feels spacious with big windows and a very open anesthetic. I liked the sound system too - it's got punchy bass and great clarity.
As for equipment, expect 2 flat and one incline bench, along with several benches for dumbbell training. Only two platforms, and two Smith machines, but they don't have a lot more space to work with. All the basic machines are present as well, including tons of bicycles, treadmills, and stairmasters for cardio.
Last but not least, facilities are beautiful and upscale-feeling. Even the rubberized ground feels extra bouncy and the lockers have a nice laminate finish.
