There are so many reasons I love this place. First, people here really take their workout seriously, but it's not the posing, grunting and showing off wanna be manly kind of place that just puts me off as a normal person. Second, it's a Maui vibe. Third, lots of classes included in the membership, including yoga. Fourth, there's a separate room dedicated to SERIOUS powerlifting. Fifth, if you're part time of the year in Maui, the membership allows you to pause and start up again. That makes it far more affordable and starts to feel like home.

I’m usually a reviewer on food and restaurants. But someone who has been around fitness my entire life, and currently working on my journey on health and wellness I had to give a review to this gym. I reside in Kihei and I’m so glad that this gym is here. The gym has two sides to it. It which both have the equipment and the right staff and personal trainers to help you get your ideal physique, or helping gain strength. As well as the giving help with tips, techniques on form for each exercise or just fitness in general. They also help you with personal fitness goals. They also have classes my favorite is partaking in the Zumba class. The owners are kind and welcoming Lynn and Jim. The staff there is dedicated to make you feel comfortable to workout and work on your fitness goals. I appreciate the classes they have to offer including amenities such as the studio and sauna that they provide as well. Milika one of the associates there is so cool and has this upbeat lifting and positive energy. She through her work and customer service can see she loves her community and is passionate helping others especially with fitness and loves giving the best customer service possible. Keep up the great work Milika and thank you for making me feel welcome and creating a positive ambience for me workout and achieve my fitness goals. As well as the rest of the staff, Dave, Lynn, Jeff, Sandy, Ryan, RJ, Alex and Leon, and all the instructors, thank you for being a positive impact to the community of Kihei representing Valley Isle Fitness. Been going to this gym since the 90’s - always friendly and I enjoy the relaxed gym atmosphere. Just folks working out at their own pace. I go at 3 pm and it’s really quiet and I get through my routine in 30 minutes and done!

Superb, the folks at Vally Isle Fitness have been attentive to my needs from the physical therapist who gave me a free private session to Lynn who calls me when I miss a few days to remind me of my goals.
There is a diverse group of people working out with standing weights at Maui Strong, they even have a children’s program and day care area.
I have a knee injury and Lynn gave me really good advice, so good in fact that I’m out of my knee brace and surgery is off the table.
The thing I cant wait to try is yoga and Zumba classes, there’s a bunch of women of all ages, plenty my age 60, and considerably older who come out giggling and having a great time. I don’t see many men in those classes, what’s up guys? Your missing the fun.
My favorite motivational factor is the sauna that’s always hot and ready to go. The locker room has several individual showers and it’s always spotless.
I do not see any room for improvement, if there was a 10 Star rating Vally Isle Fitness, Maui Strong would rate at the very top with me. I simply Love❤️going and I don’t want to call it a Gym because it’s so much more. Mahalo

Their systems were down so only took cash. The bench bar came apart while I was benching. One of the workers told me to put on a clip but then he realized that the sleeve of the bench had come off. He came back with a screw driver to put it back together. Didn’t even apologize.

Came to Valley Isle Fitness as my third of three gym check outs on this 71 y.o. man's snowbird escape from NE CONUS weather. Over the past decade I've lost 25% of my body weight and started going to a gym building strength and cardio-pulmonary fitness. I didn't want to regress while escaping cold and snow for seven weeks.

These folks were the only one of three requiring masks though Maui requires it at all gyms. This gym was not crowded. Lynn, the manager, when asked described what the landlord had done and what she was doing to maximize ventilation. Leon and Lynn put a little extra into my one month pass so the six weeks I was in Maui were mostly all covered. Brad, their PT/Trainer, accepted that my goals for my time on Maui were all about maintenance, not pushing up to higher levels of weight/performance and still offered me teaching that will be useful when I return to my workouts (and trainer) at home.

The place feels safe, the other customers include people who look like me in age and body type, the staff are accommodating and friendly. This gym has been a great find, just 10 minutes from our place in Kihei and down the street from the Aquatic Center Pool.

I just signed up for the Kihei location over the weekend, and my main decision making process was their Covid business practice from the owners. They are, as they should be, requiring both employees and members to wear masks at all times! It's so refreshing to see owners make this a top priority. I strongly suggest the community support businesses that put the health and safety of their members and employees first (unlike two other Kihei gyms!). Easy parking, not a lot of folks working out at the same time, so really felt safe. Thx again Valley Isle for doing the right thing! I hope you get many more members from the other two gyms that just don't care about safety. Mahalo.

I prepaid for a year membership late 2018, and was told the Lahaina gym would be opening soon. It's over eight months into this year and the gym still has no signs of opening soon. I have sent them an email from the address advertised on their site, however it was returned as undeliverable. I sent them multiple messages using their site's service, and none have been returned. Whether they took my money and ran or are just delayed, I paid for something I didn't receive and they have ran from me ever since, not exactly people I would trust, I just hope to get a refund eventually.

Only used 2 months out of 6 for the gym in Lahaina before the fire. Felt assured that the gym would've been open sooner. Waited a year before reaching out for a refund.

Unfortunate that there was a lack of feedback regarding status of the gym in Lahaina. I thoroughly enjoyed having my workout while being so close.

I will still consider signing up once Lahaina location is open.

First time at Valley Isle Fitness! Kind of hard to find, I went into two other parking lots before finally arriving at the right place, turning off of Lipoa.

The facility is well equipped if not a bit dated, but clean and you can definitely get the job done with very affordable prices.

The fitness class I attended was very well done, the instructor was good and very conscientious about form and ability of the attendees.

Parking was plentiful and handicap accessible. Showers and courteous staff.

I will definitely return!

Staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I needed to cancel my membership and was assured MULTIPLE times that it was taken care of. Meanwhile I keep getting charged for the next 5 months . I called at the beginning of this month to rectify the situation (yet again) and was told by Lynn that she would personally take care of it. Fast forward to today , money was debited from account so I call again. The guy working (Leon Allen) berated me on the phone , talked over me and then HUNG UP on me! WTH?! My husband called back for me and got more of the same treatment and then Leon told him to “ come on down there” ( threat? ) if he didn’t like how he was handling things. Wow. Just Wow. I wish I could give a minus 10 stars. I am in touch with the fraud Dept at my bank now and I urge people to steer clear of this place . Scammers

Membership didn’t get canceled when I asked them to, were completely and totally disrespectful when I called to correct the situation; so much so that I felt compelled notify Bank of Hawaii as well as the Bank of Hawaii fraud department.

I took Zumba with Sixto several times while visiting the area - I was so sad to leave him!! He's infectious, a great dancer. He has a core of regulars and the energy in the class is upbeat and friendly. If you do Zumba...you know sometimes you run into pockets of Zumba-snobs...not here. Very welcoming!!
The gym is nice as well, with lots of equipment and staff to help you. You can buy short term passes that get you into all classes and the facilities. Otherwise, Zumba and other group classes are $10 per.

This is not only the worst gym on the island but the worst gym I have been to. The equipment is extremely old. You can guarantee their will be multiple pieces of equipment that will be out of order. I have 3 kids and they always were getting sick from the unsanitary childcare facilities. Quite frankly, I am shocked the haven't been shut down by the state for health concerns. The only upside is that the staff are for the most part friendly (welcoming, however not qualified on physical conditioning. Please take my advice and my loss of a yearly membership not to waste your time here. I won't market other gyms but there is one that stands out. Do your research before you try to save money on a yearly membership like I did.

The girls bathroom toilet exploded all over my cloths after using the restroom there. I couldnt get out fast enough. Covered with poop and pee from my pants to my sandal wearing feet.

The staff panicked as it flooded the whole bathroom within minutes. Mean while i was worried about my open cuts on my feet from surfing that morning. I stunk like poop, they couldn't find peroxide to clean it. Rushed home to scrub down. Soon days after I went to the er for staff infection. All I wanted was my money back. Now I have to sue a company for it. Gross gross gross!! Not even a apology. I would not recommend them to anyone. And the place sticks. I'm beyond words the way it ended. Pm for more details.

The front desk clerk Leon Allen, said that "Everyone has that. We can't just let everyone come in here and use that."

He badgered me like a telemarketer when I called in and tried to ask some questions, then refused to honor the coupon on their website.
