We came here for our first time for a birthday party and my 7-year-old girl loved it! She had so much fun and it was a good challenge for her physically. This is the perfect rainy day activity for kids and adults.

Overall a great gym with one glaring safety issue.
Pros:
Amazing staff- super helpful with gear recommendations and always greeted with a smile
Clean- walls, equipment and bathrooms are always looking shiny
Lots of variety on routes- I climb 3x weekly and always feel like I have something new to try (weekly new sets)
Atmosphere- great lighting and they sometimes open up the roll up doors. All the members Iβve met have been super friendly and good vibes.
Con (only one and it brings the overall rating down to a 3/5)
The amount of free roaming kids is unacceptable and very dangerous. This is a known issue that has been acknowledged by the owner and staff. Iβve been a member for about a year and Iβve had to stop or significantly modify my climbing session because of the amount of unsupervised kids at least a dozen times now. I love kids and even take mine (two boys ages 8 and 10) to the gym with the difference being that we review the rules every time on our way to the gym. At the gym we always climb one at a time and on the same wall. I never let them climb out of my sight and Iβm actively watching them (not on my phone, not drinking coffee while gossiping with friends).
Iβve had the owner/staff say everything from βsorryβ to βgood luckβ today when itβs obvious there are too many uncontrolled kids. Iβve also heard βwell, they signed the waiver.β At the end of the day I donβt want to crush a kid coming off the wall which is very likely to happen with me being 230lbs and some of the kids Iβve had walking or climbing under me being as young as 2 or 3.
Some suggestions to fix this issue.
Kids birthdays should be limited to upstairs use only. Downstairs roped climbing to only be used under direct supervision of gym staff. No free roaming!
Kids meetup days, free kids days, homeschool days, should be restricted to upstairs or one wall of the downstairs under direct supervision of staff. No free roaming!
Kids camps, climbing teams should be limited to one wall under the direct supervision of staff. No free roaming!
Overall itβs a good place with lots of great people but the kid issue needs to be addressed because itβs definitely not a matter of if it will happen itβs when it will happen.

Canβt say enough amazing things about this place! Perfect for Families looking to bond over an amazing sport, or Lone Wolfs looking to charge the intriguing terrain in search of climbing glory.
The management are the highest of intellectuals, the staff are so handsome and welcoming, the routes were forged in the fires of Mt. Doom, carried by hand and sled across the Plains of Infedora, and delicately arranged for maximum climbing pleasure. If you value your free time, youβll be spending it at COEUR Climbing Co.

I was in CDA for a few days and decided to stop in to try some climbing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have all the gear you need for rent. I am a beginner so I used the lower rated climbing routes, but they also have more difficult routes for experienced climbers. I was very impressed with the facility. Great workout, I felt it in my forearms and hands for a couple days afterwards!

We hosted my sons fifth birthday here and I am so glad we did. The staff were incredibly helpful and considerate as our entire group were new to climbing. All of the kids were thrilled, one commented that there was "so much to do" and the adults are already making plans to utilize the gym in their free time. The room set up for us to use for a party space was perfect, we had just enough space and they included setting up tables for us and some decorations which helped us out. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Coeur Climbing is all about community and I love the energy here, and my kids do too! My youngest has been coming with us since he was a few months old, and climbing has been a great way for us to support development, meet other families, and get energy out π The yoga classes as also awesome and great for keeping your body mobile and ready to climb on!

Fantastic climbing gym and very helpful and friendly staff.
Plenty of bouldering routes from beginner to expert. There's a children's area upstairs with a shorter wall and plenty of handles. I brought my 8 and 3 years old boys and they had an absolute blast on the wall upstairs!

Great Rock climbing place for adults and older kids, itβs clean and great equipment. However, anyone with high energy kids younger than 7, I would not recommend at all. It is not kid friendly, even with a kid playing area, itβs right next to the workout equipment which they are not allowed near and only separated by a single rope.
We were at a very large kids festival 3 months ago and an employee was passing out $5 off coupons (with no expiration dates that I could see) to everyone there with kids, and it even advertised kids birthday parties etc on the coupon so because of the kids festival and kids parties, I assumed wrongly that it would be a very kid friendly place. A friend and I decided to try it out for the first time and have a play date and let our boys get some winter cabin fever out climbing. They did not accept their own coupon which is fine,it was only $5 anyways but one of the employees there made it very clear that our children were not welcome and he was very short and rude with us all. No one explained anything to us when we got there and checked in for the first time, as far as not knowing their specific etiquette or rules etc. we went in clueless with no direction from them. For my almost 9 and almost 7 year old, it is very fun for an hour or two of climbing, they really enjoyed it but it was also almost $50 for just the two of them to climb, so very pricey for just an hour or two of fun for kids. For our kids that were between 3-6 yrs, it was not a good fit at all. If you have kids under 7 and are looking to burn off energy or have a play date, jump for joy or a trampoline park etc would for sure be a much better fit in my experience.
I may go back with my older sons at some point but will never have another play date there and I will not bring my younger son until heβs a bit older. My husband stopped by on his way home from work to check it out since he is a rock climber and was stoked to get to see his boys try it and see if he would want to take them another time but he also noticed the rudeness and shortness of the one employee. Just wanted to share for any other moms that are looking for kids indoor winter play experiences that also have littler ones in tow.

As a business, it's run very well. Clean, kind staff, good (& painless) orientation video, open right at business hours. No gaps in bouldering padding. Placing a kid's climbing area upstairs, away from the main area, is a great layout choice. Seems like they reset fairly often, as none of the holders were getting grimy.
As far as equipment: they have a nice workout area upstairs, permanent 40 degree moonboard, around 13 ft bouldering walls and 20 ft roped walls. It's mostly a bouldering gym, and I only visited to boulder.
Setting was flowy with good use of volumes to break up the mostly vertical walls. The boulders were all good individually, but across the whole gym felt a little same-y. Didn't feel like different routes had their own character. Like different routes emphasizing laybacks, or crimps, or slopers, or footwork, or whatever. Overall, most routes climb exactly like they look and a bit more complexity would be fun to see. Also, not many routes with sustained intensity. I think some of this comes down to not that may wall angles for the setters to work with. It's mostly vertical plus/minus a few degrees with one brief overhung section (and no roof sections). Despite the availability of slab walls, there wasn't much slab-style climbing (limited hands, balencey). For a gym which hasn't been open all that long, everything is very climbable and fun!

I signed up for a family membership about a month ago and have been going pretty regularly during the week with my wife and daughter (11). We have been having a lot of fun learning and the staff are very helpful and friendly to climbing newbies.
They have a lot of variety on the bouldering and auto belay walls with a pretty big range of difficulty levels. They also have a small workout gym and yoga studio that is included with membership as well.
I highly recommend checking it out.

Waited to review until I've climbed here for a while and I am really happy to what this gym has become! The setting initially was a bit rough, but the setters have clearly improved loads and the newest sets have been super fun to climb! Everyone I've met at the gym whether staff or fellow members have also been super nice and friendly. It's great to finally have a local climbing community and this gyms future looks very bright!
