Been working out for a few months here and had no issues. A few time machines have gone down, but maintenance has been relatively quick. Staff are super friendly and helpful if you need advice. The locker rooms could use a little better upkeep but are still serviceable. Overall a good experience

Disgusting locker rooms! No telling when the last time they were cleaned.
As for equipment SAME!!!
CLEAN UP THE EAGLE LOCATION!!!
As it turns out all of these are the same!
I give two stars, just because of the instructors are great!

This is a great gym for people that are serious about getting fit without the frills and amenities of other gyms where you're going to pay much much more. The variety and quality of their equipment is good. They've got plenty of cardio equipment, pully equipment, free weights, basketball court, indoor track, and a pretty outstanding functional fitness room.
I haven't used any of their other amenities such as pool area and sauna, so I can't speak for that.
Where this gym really lacks and falls off the tracks is in it's cleanliness. The machines can be pretty dirty and grimy and the floors around the entire gym are visibly dirty especially in the locker rooms. They could use a few more full-time janitors. Definitely could use some rejuvenation with some fresh paint and just overall sanitation.

Been going here for about 6 months now. I split my time between the Eagle and Meridian location. The reviews are pretty similar. The gym etiquette of the members is well below average. Weights left all over the place. Different plates stacked on top of other plates of different weights. Dirty bathrooms (seems to have improved slightly). Hidden fees that pop up months later. Tanning beds but the bulbs need replaced badly. I do appreciate their CrossFit area with the turf track. They also have a pool and a basketball court. You can also bring in a guest for free.

I would give this dump zero stars if I could. This place is a total disaster. A/C hasn't worked all summer. Management says it's because owners don't want to spend the money to get it fixed. The least owners could do is buy a bunch of fans! Roof leaks water into the workout area when it rains. Equipment is old and broken most of the time. The place is filthy! Locker rooms, showers and bathrooms are disgusting. Garbage is usually overflowing, always out of paper towels and wipes. The manager never leaves his office. Always sitting at his desk either on his phone or bullshiting with other employees who do nothing. I've been going to gyms for over 50 years and this is by far the worst experience. I have tried to get my membership fees refunded due no working A/C, but have been told "No." Avoid this dump of a gym at all costs. Lots of other options out there.

Crunch is a sneaky slim ball of a company. They make you feel as if they waive your enrollment fee but then charge you over $60, 60 days later and proceed to tell you that itโs in the contract. In fine print. You explain to them you donโt have time to come and you only came one time. They make you give a 30 days later notice and will still charge you for a full next month. They donโt give a crap about you or your situation. Not to mention this facility isnโt that great compared to other gyms. They have a lot of fine print and will find some way to get money out of you. Even though their website says โNO COMMITMENTโ! Great way to loose customers. No wonder they have terrible reviews on google.

UPDATE: management has started to do a much better job of keeping the facility cleaner. My hope is with regular/daily cleaning and maintenance it will feel sanitary and updated in no time. Changed my review to 4 stars. Thank you!
Hey guys, seriouslyโฆ how many more bad reviews do you need to get before youโll start cleaning the gym? The bathrooms on the weightlifting floor are worse than the most disgusting truckstop bathrooms Iโve seen. Weight room floor mirrors are splattered most of the time. Generally dusty and grimy equipment. Letโs stop with the replies apologizing about it and just get someone in there every day to get them sanitizedโฆ please! We love coming to workout there, but itโs getting nasty. Bathrooms especially need to be power cleaned; this is getting really old. You say cleanliness is a priority to you but it just isnโt really true. Your customers deserve better - please handle it. No need to reply with words, just action.

Had my membership less than 30 days and decided to cancel due to the gym having many things not working and being dirty. I expected more from a gym in eagle. Also not in the area anymore. I'm doing month to month and they are trying to charge me more money for another month when I will not be there as well as $60 annual fee for the year when I will not be going there. I do not recommend this gym to anyone. Poor quality and dirty and hidden fees when it is supposed too be month to month. Also if someone tries the gym for less than 30 days you should not be held liable for charges when you don't even have everything that is supposedly offered. For example the wet sauna is full of cleaning supplies and doesn't work as well as the hydro massage chairs that are constantly breaking. I am not getting what I paid for so you do not deserve any more of my money.
6/20 I did reach out to you and already addressed these concerns with you. You told me you were still going to charge me and do absolutely nothing for me. When I said I would dispute the charges you said you would send me to a collection agency and ruin my credit. I will be reaching out to your corporate office instead.

This gym is filthy - employees always sitting up front, the least they could do is clean the place! They need to hire a professional cleaning company and window washing company. It's too bad because it's so convenient however it's so poorly managed. They could gain more customers with better management and taking pride in their facility. I suspect it has more to do with the owners than these staff.

Frankly dirty, poorly managed, weights are a mess and equipment not well maintained. Now theyโve made it so kids canโt come in and play basketball while you work out. Bit of a failing business model for a community gym. I will be spending my money and time elsewhere.

This is the worst gym ever. Very VERY dirty, only have 1 poor teenage girl cleaning the whole gym which she clearly canโt do all by herself sufficiently. Trying to save money on cleaning the gym when charging for those for monthly membership AND โ$60 maintains gym feeโ Seriously? Where does this money go?? There is also a bunch of underage kids all the time being loud, annoying and filming shirtless Tick Tocks. Once, some high school boys started a fight too. Management is never there to figure out any of this or ask them not to disturb otherโs work outs, all they do is sit downstairs the whole day. The cherry on top is their membership policy. When you try to leave this place, you are forced to pay for 1 more month of your membership even if you will
not be going there anymore. They call it โ1 month noticeโ. I am sorry I didnโt know the gym is opening just for me everyday so I have to a give a notice? Of course, no refunds. Itโs very hard to get a hold of someone to even cancel it in the first place. Employees are โnot trained on cancelling membershipsโ and you only have to do it through a manager who is there 9-4 M to F only. Taking PTO to come to the gym to cancel membership is wild. You can cancel it through email with him but it takes a couple days for him to process this simple request. I honestly felt held hostage at this place!!! Even after you leave they will keep harassing you with calls, messages and emails with their promotions until you have to block their numerous contacts everywhere.
If you are looking for useless staff, waste of money, and getting a couple skin infections from the locker gym Crunch at Eagle is the place for you!

Iโve been taking my kid swimming here for like eight or more months with no issuesโuntil suddenly Iโm told by a female worker that she canโt swim anymore unless sheโs 12โฆ because thereโs a new manager?

Honestly, it feels like Crunch changes its rules every time a new manager steps in. Itโs ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐, and definitely not family-friendly. If they truly cared about families, theyโd allow kids to use the kids pool. (Like they have been for several months) Itโs even in the terms and conditions that members and their children can enjoy the facilities. PLUS I was reffered to take my kid here from another Crunch gym.

Restroom floors need to be power washed and buffed. This definitely needs to be fixed. I absolutely love the basketball court. It would be really nice if the floor was re done and re painted. It sucks how some of the concrete is rough and ruins both shoes and basketballs. I would absolutely be willing to volunteer my time to get that fixed. All in all its great amenities, just poor execution of them. Also a hot tub would be the only other investment I think would be nice to have.

Unfortunately this is the only place with a sauna near me. The cleanliness of this gym is abhorrent. I donโt know how they are allowed to operate under current health standards. Iโm making a plea to the owner please hire full time cleaning staff and get the mold and mildew out of the locker rooms and have someone going around daily to wipe and clean equipment.

I went to watch my young niece in swim class. The pool area was nice. The swim coaches seemed to like coaching the kids. The kids paid attention the whole time. I was impressed with that. The front desk crew seemed distracted the day I went. Overall, it looks like a family-friendly place that the kids enjoy.

This gym has decent equipment and a track but due to the absolutely disgusting locker rooms and bathrooms, I have to give it a 1 star.
Half of the time the upstairs bathrooms are out of toilet paper, the trash cans are completely full, and there's garbage all over the floor.
The locker rooms are the most disgusting I've ever seen! The mildew and soap scum in the showers is so bad. They really need to do a better job taking care of this place. I've been to other Crunch locations around town and I constantly see staff cleaning. I rarely see anything being deep cleaned here.

The staff is friendly, and while the gym is older, itโs spacious and well-equipped. However, I gave it two stars because many of the members lack basic gym etiquette. Despite intentionally setting up in a less crowded area with plenty of space, Iโve had people work out uncomfortably closeโso close that performing certain exercises becomes impossible. Today, another girl stared at me for over 45 seconds (yes, I timed it because it was that intense). If you're looking for a gym where you can lift comfortably without feeling crowded or watched, this might not be the best choice.

Is there a way to give zero stars and not even one?
Iโve been coming to this gym for a couple years and it is not getting any better, the showers are COMPLETELY disgusting. The fitness floor is okay but the cleanliness in general is absolutely terrible. I wonder if the people in California are paying more than us in Idaho because I was there not long ago and I visited Crunch, and the difference is outrageous.

DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!!! Extremely disgusted by Crunch Fitness in Eagle. I have grown up in this community for many decades, since when it used to be Rocky Mountain Fitness. Today (12/29/2024 @2pm), I was turned away with my 3 year old son from swimming in the pools because "it was corporate policy that children are not allowed to swim in any of the pools (per the guy at the front desk)". As I know this is not true because I just took my son swimming at this location the day before. The guy at the front said, "that guy needs to be fired", for allowing us to swim the day prior. I highly recommend going to the YMCA rather than this gym! In a community that is family orientated, you have an individual (or corporate policy) that doesn't support families with children.

Are you guys seriously playing lazy pop country music during prime workout hours at a crunch gym? This is embarrassing. Additionally there is no enforced dress code, as itโs basically a hang out for high schoolers in Jean pants. The equipment is more repaired than other crunch gyms in the area which is its only redeeming factor.

I agree with the prior post from three months ago. The womenโs locker room is a disgrace. Once again, the scum on the shower walls, shower floor filthy. Either figure out a way to be open on time every day or be a 24 hour gym. Judging by the conversations I heard from the regulars this happens more often than it should. My husband and I are in our 60s, and we joined a gym for the first time in our lives back in February. We've been training for 3 times a week for 4+ months now with our personal trainer Isaac. The experience and the results have far exceeded our expectations. The staff always greets us with a smile (especially Braxton) and they are always attentive and helpful if we need anything. Isaac is an amazing trainer and makes it fun. He has us doing things we never thought we could do, and we are most certainly getting our money's worth for the training sessions. He really made time to get to know us and our goals, and we got some new friends out of the deal too. We would recommend Isaac and Crunch Fitness in Eagle to anyone that wants to better their lives and their health.

This place was cool but in the last 5 months it's gone down hill. There is never the same person working the front desk. Teenagers camping the equipment constantly, and making a mess of the bathroom. The lockers are never cleaned, the floors are always soaking wet, and there is personal items all over the floor (tissue, backpacks, shoes, socks, ect...) There is also a "crazy guy" customer here that spits on the floor, shouts profanity, and uses Marijuana in the bathroom.

My spouse and I have been members since the late 90s when it was still IAC. While I have no complaints about the friendly staff or equipment, I have seen cleanliness go downhill in the womenโs locker room and shower areas over at least a year! It is the deep cleaning that seems to be neglected, not the surface areas or toilets. A coat of fresh paint or update on locker room benches and deep power cleans of soap scum would be such an improvement. Is that too much to ask for members who pay consistent monthly fees for years and years?
I see promises of improvements in response to previous reviews, yet nothing seems to change!
This makes me feel as if the patrons are not much of a priority and I would change gyms if not for the swimming pool, which many donโt offer.
Other locations seem to keep their shower areas nice and clean-I just donโt get itโฆ

17 months ago I had a brain bleed, resulting in severe weakness. I needed a rolling walker to even get around the house. As I began to recover, I decided that going to a gym could really help me. I'd never belonged to a gym before, so I hired a Crunch personal trainer to get started. This was exactly what I needed! I began to learn how to use the weight-lifting machines. I started to feel stronger and much better overall. Then I signed up for M-W-F Evolve Attitude (11:00 am) Evolve Active (11:30 am) classes through Silver Sneakers with instructor Heather Smith. Heather is amazingly positive and supportive. She makes exercise so fun! Since joining Crunch, I've lost 70 unwanted pounds and I feel so much stronger!

Crunch was a total disappointment. Extremely dirty both in the restrooms and in the gym! We paid for a year membership, left 4 months into it as we couldnโt stand how dirty everything was.
We now go to a gym thatโs smaller, but clean and bright and the trainers actually care about the environment of the gym and strive to be a more accosting gym to their members!

I'll start with the positives. The staff is friendly. That's about it.
Here is the rest: to give an example from this week. I walk into the bathroom and it's a few stalls, I hear cries for help. It's a guy who got stranded going to the bathroom and did not realize the stall had no toilet paper. I tried to help but had to wait on the one stall that had TP which was in use. Then pulled a bit of toilet paper to provide to the stranded gentleman.
Half the free weights are missing at any given time for months at a time. The amount of dust and random puddles is never ending. I had a cable break on me, during my first week at the gym and flew across the gym and hit my head. I ended up with a concussion. The one trainer that saw the whole thing just shrugged and kept doing what he was doing.
It's pretty inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for. Wear a helmet and you will hopefully avoid falling debris or discount cables.

I started a free trial for a few days and the front desk staff was professional but then when I asked if I should just give myself a self to her he said sure. A young man approached me and asked if I needed help and I said I was just trying to learn the lay of the land and he offered to show me around and then explained he was a staff member. It looked like he had already finished for the day but took the time to show me around and answer my questions. Thank you again Braxton. The gym seems clean and well kept. The pool looked inviting and I like that they had the separate sections for laps versus water workouts.
I would prefer to give 4.5 Stars since I was redeemed but the front staff who signed me up for my trial membership let me down a little bit but not a full star worth

Crunch has friendly staff and nice workout equipment. The tanning beds are nice as well. The primary heartburn my wife and I have with this gym is the lack of cleanliness of the locker rooms, bathrooms and showers. For example, the same clump of hair has been in the ladies shower since my wife started going approximately one month ago. The menโs shower room smells like urine. The lockers are rusty inside and probably should be replaced. In my opinion, there is no excuse for the showers smelling like urine and not being clean. This morning there were no paper towels in the menโs room and the hand soap dispenser was not working.

Never had any problems with the gym design and cleanliness. Though you have to go the whole nine yards to cancel. They require at least a 10 day notice, extra charges depending on the membership, and for it to be in writing. I am still unsure if I will have to refute a next month charge because I am not sure if they fulfilled my cancel request after a couple phone calls and emails. Polices that make it difficult to cancel memberships are extremely frustrating, unnecessary, and a waste of everyoneโs time.

The weights are old and outdated. Itโs hard to even use them because there are so many kids there; half of the people in the gym at any one time are under 18. Itโs pretty annoying to workout there because thereโs so many kids running around, taking up weights and never getting off. You can barely walk around some days because itโs so crowded. Another issue is the bathrooms. They are always dirty. Not sure if itโs because there are so many middle schoolers there or the staff isnโt doing a good job. But itโs hard to find a clean toilet.

I have been attending this gym since it was built after two prior owners it was purchased by Crunch. Larger chain and have seen the management and up keep continue downward toward the toilet. Speaking of toilets was there today midday Saturday. Menโs restroom filthy with the garbage can overflowing. Three management people in the office when arrived. Are they above emptying the garbage cans? Also love having tv on when on machines. On more than one occasion they are not in and have asked for them to be turned in. They was the case today and I asked for them to be turned on only to be told they cannot find the remotes???? Are you kiddin me? Often broken equipment takes a long time to get repaired. My wife and I are looking at planet fitness they are consistently clean in every way and many nice flat screens with many viewing options and they are all always on. Gee what a concept.

I have reached out to this facility countless times over the past two years trying to receive refund for multiple months of membership that were charged after my membership was cancelled after switching gyms. It got so bad that I had to start recording phone calls with the management, to make a case against the charges through my card provider.
Word of advice, if you have to sign up here, do it prepaid or with a new credit card that you can cancel after you are done with your membership because in my experience the management here have no problem lying to you, and will often promise resolution by a future date months in advance hoping you will forget.
I know gyms are known for pulling this kind of stuff but this is by far the greasiest gym and management team I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
I imagine that the management team will reply to this review saying that refund will be issued "soon", but regardless, I have not received the first refund they promised on a recorded phone call two years ago. I would recommend staying far away from this place.

I joined Crunch because it is close to my house and I was looking for a personal trainer. I have been paired with Mike M. and I am happy with my results so far. I am stronger and have more stamina than when I first started. Mike ensures that I do not overextend myself in regards to when I feel any pain in my knees and he offers alternative exercises instead.

Are you looking for a personal trainer? Ask for Isaac at Crunch Fitness- Eagle location. I am a 60+ y/o, very overweight female. My first session with Isaac was Dec. 31, 2022. I got winded just walking across the gym floor. During our April 12, 2023 session I pushed 60 lbs of weights on the sled across the gym without stopping, flipped a tractor tire 8 times total and did 4 sets of double arm rope slams. Isaac will give you great and varied workouts that take your abilities and limitations into account, yet encourage you to work beyond your comfort level to gain strength and endurance. He trains folks of all ages and fitness levels, but I highly recommend him for older women. Give Isaac a try. You'll be glad you did.

Pool area is kept tidy and clean. Lap pool is first come first served. I do not know about weight rooms.
Now for the disgusting part. There has been algae growing on the floor for two months in shower room. Itโs obvious they donโt dump out the water ifโฆ.they actually do mop, which I highly doubt. The mop marks havenโt ever changed on the floor. There is soap scum on the walls that hasnโt been clean in months as well. Donโt take my word for it, pictures below
The place is a lawsuit waiting to happen in the shower area and there is literally no care for hygiene in the locker rooms.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I paid for personal training sessions that i never received. When we signed up, we told Josh that we would be moving from eagle and would be going to the meridian crunch so I would need to transfer the sessions which Josh said was no problem - that was in October and now crunch said they canโt do it. I asked for my money back and they said they wonโt do that either. Josh comes across as a nice young man, but donโt trust what he tells you. He wonโt deliver. This of course is my personal opinion.

We were lied to by the sales person/manager Josh to get us to sign up. He told us we could transfer personal training sessions to a different location, we tried and that failed, we reached back out multiple times to talk to Josh on the phone and each time he said he would do it, but nothing happened. Ultimately, we are changing gyms, because this place is also filthy and all of the equipment is old and rundown. This is all just my personal opinion. I would steer clear and hit up an Axiom (they are super clean) or another gym in the area.

POOL IS TOO HOT. I have been a competitive swimmer my whole life. I joined this gym strictly for the pool, not knowing they keep it at 87 DEGREES. That is UNHEARD OF. Especially for an indoor pool!! I have never come across this my whole swimming career, in the 3 states that Iโve lived in. I have no idea why they would heat their lap pool to this temperature, especially when they have another separate pool that is 90 degrees. The other pool could easily be used for the therapy swimming that the lap pool is currently being used for. Iโm baffled. Donโt advertise that you have a lap pool if this is how hot you keep it. May as well take the lane lines out and make it a big hot tub. For reference a normal lap pool used competitively is usually 77-82 degrees.

I absolutely love Crunch Eagle: they have all the equipment you could need for a great workout, itโs always super clean, from the equipment to the tanning beds and everything in between. I wanted to write this review to highlight one thing thatโs been the most important to me in my health journey. The personal training they have is unmatched, itโs absolutely changed my life and made me excited to safely get into the best shape of my life. Rob is my trainer there and while I have an existing injury heโs helped me strengthen my body to where I no longer have daily pains. I, like most was hesitant to go the route of personal training but his knowledge in corrective exercise has made a world of difference and I credit him and the entire staff for bringing me back to the best version of myself. This gym has become home for me and Iโm so grateful for their encouragement, knowledge and for being the best cheerleaders in improving my overall health. I highly recommend getting plugged in to their personal training and making Crunch Eagle your home gym, too.

This gym is has a very sleazy business model and poor communication. Be prepared to get ripped off. They have barely any functional class hours as well. If you work and want to join a 6 am class, they donโt exist. Basically I signed up with a trainer and wasnโt very happy with the sessions. Before I even completed the 10 sessions as a trial, they billed me for another 10 sessions and then refused to refund my money. The trainer had apologized for accidentally billing me but the gym refused to refund me for a service that I did not use and never will. Basically, this is illegal and was not disclosed to me. The pools is a dirty and lockers rooms run down and filthy. Donโt waste your money! Join a better small gym in Eagle. Several good ones out there!

This is by far the best crunch location in the valley. It's got the most space, it's got a gym, it's also got a nice track up top. The tanning is on point as well, and the sauna is great too... the steam room has been shut down for a hot minute. They told me it shut down because of covid, but let's be real, it's probably broken and they don't want to pay to have it fixed (seems pretty common for the crunch fitness locations in the valley, most are in worse condition in a lot of ways, so for it to only be the steam room isn't too bad). Staff is super friendly in comparison to the other locations too, and they seem to know what's going on where the other locations don't seem to know.

Crunch Fitness in Eagle is the worst managed business in Eagle Idaho. Preston lied to me about a annual โmembers feeโ when I signed up and sneaked in a charge on my credit card
I Moved to Eagle 6 months ago and joined Crunch Fitness. I have tried to cancel but my card is still being charged. This place is So bad and the manager is worse.
-Preston is NEVER working. Instead he is always trying to flex in the mirror or he is behind his desk on social w his legs kicked up
-This is the dirtiest gym I have ever been to! The floors are disgusting. The have no cleaning crew. Instead they hire some kids to clean
-They have absolutely ZERO Covid policy and on top of that the hand sanitizers are always empty
-Every year when it rains, members call it โtrash can seasonโ The staff puts out trash cans to catch the roof leaks
-I have shown up several mornings only to wait in the parking lot b/c some employee is late opening the gym
-One of the front doors were broken and chained closed for (6) months
-Many reviews state that parents showed up with
children to find out child care was erratically
cancelled
-Bathrooms are disgusting. Toilets are always backed up and no TP
-The faucet head is broken off in the bathroom
-This gym is grossly dirty. Absolutely disgusting
-Multiple reviews stating how Crunch continues to
charge credit cards AFTER cancelling. This is criminal and tells you how bad this place is
-Machines are ALWAYS broken for months.
-Missing weight pins in the equipment
-Any positive reviews for this gym are from out of state and paid for. NO ONE would go out of their way to give this gym a positive review
-I saw on Facebook that Preston reviewed his
own gym trying to increase ratings. Your a joke Preston. Why donโt you Increase ratings by managing a clean, honest, reputable gym

I Moved here a year ago and gave Crunch a shot.
Worst decisions ever. I cancelled a week ago.

-They have absolutely ZERO Covid policy.
-Last week there were (8) trash cans catching roof

-Constantly opening late in the mornings
-Many reviews state that parents showed up with

Beware of deceptive sales tactics and hidden fees. The manager Preston signed me up for my membership. When I signed up, he told me I could buy a monthly membership for $5 more a month and I would only be charged $44.99 a month. Preston also told me he was waiving the annual fee. My receipt from signing up showed $0.00 for the annual fee. The first two months went fine and my credit card on file was only charged the correct amount. On the third month my credit card was charged the regularly monthly dues and $52.99. Initially, I assumed there was an error, so I called the Eagle Crunch location. The person I spoke with told me this was an "annual fee". I told the person I don't have an annual membership and have only been a member for a couple months. They said every membership is charged this fee after two months and refused to remove the fee. I decided to talk to Preston in-person since he signed me up for the membership and assured me I was only going to be charged $44.99 a month. Preston had a "got ya" attitude and was very aggressive, stating I had signed for the fee. Preston refused to refund the $52.99. I ended up canceling my membership.
When I signed up for the membership, it was at the front counter and I was never shown what I was signing. I was just asked to sign an electronic pad. I trusted that the manager was honest about the membership fees, but have definitely learned from this experience.

I have been to a few of the crunch fitness facilities. This one is pretty nice. They have two tanning beds for customers, but you have to be a certain tier to use them. Downstairs the locker rooms are large and quite a few showers. Also downstairs they have a full size basketball court and another area the size of a basketball court with turf floor covering which allows you to do a lot of crossfit activities.
Upstairs is a room of treadmills, bikes and ellipticals as well as a weight area filled with free weights and machines. They also have a small indoor track upstairs for walking and or running.
The facility was clean, plenty of cleaning wipes on hand. The only downside is the weight room, it does seem to have a lot of equipment right next to one another, so it seems compact.
Still, a very good workout club.
