Not impressed. After I signed up online, the manager called me and wanted me to give my bank account info over the phone so they could save money. The manager picks and chooses which policy he follows and comes off as homophobic. The equipment is old and run down- they clearly are not re-investing in it. I cancelled after only a month, which is disappointing because I had really wanted the racquetball and pool.

I joined gym and use personal trainer, Kyler , for helping with a couple of physical disabilities. He’s patient and incredible! I no longer need knee brace, walker, or the likelihood of steroid injections. My strength and energy is up, weight going down and I look forward to my sessions. Best thing I’ve done in 2025 and I will continue into 2026.

Been going here for about 6 months now. I split my time between the Eagle and Meridian location. The reviews are pretty similar. The gym etiquette of the members is well below average. Weights left all over the place. Different plates stacked on top of other plates of different weights. Dirty bathrooms (seems to have improved slightly). Hidden fees that pop up months later. Tanning beds but the bulbs need replaced badly. Attached some pictures of the weights - drives me insane. I suppose I can’t blame Crunch for all the culprits, but ultimately, they could do something. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any staff up there re-sorting plates. It’s also like 90°F on the side of the gym that has all the dumbbells. Not sure if the AC is broken or what. Positive sides are that they have a pool, you can bring in guests for free, and most of the equipment is operable.

Friendly staff, very clean and neat. The upstairs has all the equipment and they look they've been taken great care for. Everything is where they need to be, zero mess. Plenty of disinfectant wipes for after use. Alot of weight lifting equipment. Great variety of equipment. Free weights for dumbbells go up to I think 100 something. Locker rooms are clean and the sauna has been taken good care for. A lot of free parking. Would guarantee go back if I'm visiting the area.

Cancellation policy is actually so dumbfounding. I called after realizing that I’d still had a subscription with them two days after a payment came out of my account. Explained I haven’t been to their location in probably over a year, my own mistake, but having to pay another month of services while I’ve already not been using the plan and there being no wiggle room is just down right stupid. Guess I get what I deserve on that one. No wiggle room. No understanding. Just policy. Over $20 bucks.

Each one of these employees were extremely helpful and their demeanor was absolutely amazing in every way. If you’re looking to get into a gym, I encourage you to sign up here. These three employees at Crunch Fitness work hard to make it the best place to be for workouts and physical fitness. They’re so helpful and so willing to work with you to help you get fit. I really enjoy the gym. I really like this gym and employees are very friendly and attentive. I've been going for almost 2 years now and mostly to do weights and swimming sometimes. I used to go to a very fun class last year that it was 30min upper body and 30min lower body and I don't know why they removed it. I wish they have more group classes in the afternoon in the afternoon after 5pm! Can you hire a Pure bar instructor so I don't have to pay extra to attend a group class?

Howdy. I’ve been here since I moved to Idaho late 2023. I’ve been to every single CF in the valley. I can honestly say this location has the best staff. They make me want to work out. SO GREAT, in fact… I got a trainer…Ashlee. If it wasn’t for her, I would’ve fell off months ago. Give her a raise because I’m hard to deal with lol. I have been a member of this gym for many years. Although not the best equipment etc. it has always fulfilled my needs. The staff has always been pleasant until today…a new employee, Samantha, very inept at her job stopped me from working out because she couldn’t find me in the system. I asked if other staff members that I have seen for the past few years were available to assist me. She took offense and I quote “I was being rude, and the she needed to learn the system” safe to say this was my last day. One suggestion, do not put an employee that has little to no customer service at the front desk.

I signed up for a membership because I was interested in using the pool. Well, two months after I now cancel my membership because I realize that by going there I take risks of contracting any INFECTIOUS DISEASE. They don't have a cleaning company, the Manager told me that they chose not to have a cleaning company and to have a Porter staff on hand (that only cleans mirrors of course :D). The amount of hair in the pool, the smell of the jacuzzi when you turn it on, the garbage in the lockers (that was there during the two months), the smell of the Sauna ( I never in my life used a sauna so dirty and unhealthy). I mean is for men and women together. Some guys go in underwear, they smell like sheep, they don't even use a towel to sit on and after sweating like crazy they leave a pool of their "fluids" on the wood and nobody will ever clean it. Ever!

Meridian Crunch is a box of germs...Be AWARE! With what they ask you to pay you can find other memberships around Meridian that will offer you a better service.
You pay a monthly membership and a yearly fee of $50...I honestly don't know what they with it. There is rust all around the pool area, missing doors in the changing rooms. Not for us.

Disgusting! I came here as a guest (my parents are members), and some guy poured some kind of liquid into the hot tub, prayed over it, and then proceeded to scrub his entire body with some kind of cloth while three other people were using it—absolutely revolting. My parents chatted with the employees, and they said: “we know, we’ve chatted with him multiple times about this behavior.” Thank goodness for the YMCA.

I got a membership to swim, I was enjoying it because it was mostly empty. There is good reason it is usually empty it would seem. I got goggles and found used bandaids when I went, so I left and told thee staff they were in the pool. I came back the next day and they were gone, but this dude came in and got into the hot tub and started blowing his nose into it. Then he started loudly spitting. Then he came into the pool at started so I left. I know you can't control what people do completely; but there aren't any rules posted anywhere I have seen about the pool, unless you ask. You shouldn't need a "No Ejecting Bodily Fluids Into The Water" sign, but you do.

Have been trying for 2 months to cancel my 2 memberships due to health reasons and can not seem to be able to get the manager to respond. I was told to email the manager by a very rude employee, who gave me the wrong email. I had to call back and got another rude person on the phone who acted like they did not have time for me. I've been trying to cancel my wife's membership for months. A few months ago, someone at the desk looked up her account and said she could cancel if she came in. When we came in, the manager told her we would have to buy out the contract or wait for it to run out.

Now we are at the end of the contract period he told us about. We called and were told that we are not on a yearly, but a monthly contract and can cancel anytime.

However, they said we can't come in right now because they need a manager present. It all feels like one big scam. We have been told conflicting information every time we call or go in. Stay away from here.

This location is going downhill! Now the jets don't work and smells of pee!! The hot tub smelled like a sewer so bad the women working out in the pool had to stay on other side of the pool it smelled so horrid. They warned me not to got near it. This not the first time!! Also 3 times now, toilet paper out in the men's room. Go to tell the front desk there all on their phones said not there problem. Cleaning is an issue and they just don't care to fix it.

Edit: the AC is FINALLY fixed, after years and years of waiting. That said, this location is still the red-headed stepchild of the bunch. There are leaks in the roof so when it rains, there are buckets all over the floors. The locker room floors are always so wet, and most of the equipment is pretty old.

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THE AC? It is ridiculous how long this has gone on for. It is ONE HUNDRED DEGREES outside. Your customers pay to use this gym. It is unacceptable how long this has gone on for. ZERO STARS.

And then got contacted about a late fee. This gym has the potential to be nice, but it just keeps declining. The pros are that it has a good variety of equipment and it's never that busy. Unfortunately, this crunch is very dirty and it never seems to be clean. Especially the locker rooms. Once I started attending, I seemed to get sick more often. The sauna only works when a staff member can turn it on since it automatically shuts off every hour. The staff claims to reset it every hour, but they do not because it's usually off and cold when I arrive to it. The steam room never works. The air conditioning in the weight room is broken so it's super hot in the summer. Instead of fixing or replacing it, they just use a fan.

The dirtiest gym I have ever joined in my life! The equipment never gets wiped down, the locker stinks so bad, the showers are gross and the jacuzzi is green and the water never gets changed. Upon my cancellation I was informed by the front desk that all I had to do to cancel is quit paying and it will automatically be cancelled. I asked for a free trial Tuesday to use the pool. Several years ago I tried this gym but the high amount of chlorine made me break out. Thursday, after being told there was water aerobics at 9:00, I found there was no instructor.
The pool was cloudy. Staff and people at the pool said they’d had filter issues for 2 weeks.
Once again, even after showering well, me skin is itchy and broken out.
I won’t be back, but am concerned about the safety of the water.

UPDATE - My only real complaint was that the upstairs freeweight area was always too hot in the summer months. They've invested in the HVAC system and it is now nice and cool.
The freeweight area is still a little warmer than the rest of the gym but it is 10x better! I can actually workout in that area without feeling like I'm having a heatstroke. Along with the cooler temperature upstairs, they replaced an aging dumbell set. The new weights are excellent! Good ergonomics and a full range.

Let me start by saying that the staff here is awesome and the gym is solid. Lots of good equipment and pretty clean for a gym this size. The only reason for a lower rating is the main weight room. I’ve been coming here for years and the heat in the free weight area is miserable. They always seem to be working on the HVAC but it never ends well for that one room. The hotter it is outside, the hotter this room gets. I put five stars in my rating and it’s so hot in here, two stars melted away. If they ever figure out how to cool that area, I’ll update my rating.

This is one of the most poorly managed gyms I've ever seen. For over a year the AC in the free weight room has been broken, with promises of "it's in next quarter's budget" or my personal favorite "in two weeks". Each membership tier on the website is different from what you actually get, but they have an excuse for that too, "the website is controlled by corporate, and there's nothing we can do." (If you can't change the website, why not go with what it says!?). They also can't do anything about canceling payments because "it's done by a third party and we have no control over it."
The facilities are equally horrible. The extremely hot free weight room made me light-headed and dizzy, even while chugging water. It gets so humid in there that all the mirrors are often foggy with drips of water running down. There are not enough free weights and the HIIT class takes the majority of space in that room, so those of us trying to do our workouts have to find small corners and modify our workout to fit the space. The pool and sauna areas are disgusting, the machines are clunky, squeaky, or just not working at all. I see workers cleaning the unused ellipticals and bikes, but everywhere else is grimy and disgusting.
The saddest part is that it seems management is just there to give everyone those rehearsed excuses, and takes no action to improve anything. I have been with Idaho Fitness Factory for a month now, and it is always clean, well maintained, and air conditioned. (And even $2 cheaper, lol!)

Facing Yet another sumner of an overly hot gym due to not fixing AC that has been broken for probably 20 years. It’s stifling and drains one’s energy. And the employee walking in circles today shouting at people that only had 10 min left before gym closes is UNNECESSARY AND UNACCEPTABLE! The tanning beds are filthy. I always make it a point to clean it before I lay in it, as well as after. I wiped off caked on tanning lotion from the previous tanner(s). I have tried to make an appointment 3 times to meet with a trainer to have them go over a few things and three weeks I a row.. he isn’t there or is with someone else. I even had scheduled those 3 appointments. Also the weight room AC is still not working. I think this is going on summer #3.

Don’t go to this place if you have any potential medical issues! At first I had a good experience with the staff being very kind. Then I got pregnant and tried to go as long as I could I to my pregnancy. When I was no longer able to workout I placed a hold on my account. Then after pregnancy I unexpectedly had medical issues I was dealing with so I had not yet started back up my membership YET they STILL proceeded to charge a $58 yearly renewal fee without any warnings before or during my account hold. When I contacted them on MULTIPLE occasions about the issue and even going to the extent to send a DOCTORS NOTE on why I had yet to return, they proceeded to refuse to give me a refund. Needless to say, I will not be going back due to the manager have such poor understanding for the issues that come after having a baby and working with me. Had he worked with me I was even willing to end up going back and paying the fee eventually when my year mark hit. I will not recommend them to anyone.

Not to mention their place gets unbelievably hot to where you can’t even be in the free weights room since they don’t have AC or proper ventilation.

The gym has been the same for years... Just the way I like it. No major ego's, no problems. They keep it clean, and equipment working. No creepy steroid freaks like most other gyms causing paying clients to feel uncomfortable. Actual people smiling. If that's not for you, please... Stay away.

I signed my son up and was told that the membership was month to month. We signed electronically and were told that their printer was broken so they couldn’t print a copy of the contact for me. I went in to cancel and was told that we are in an annual contract. Again they wouldn’t provide me with a copy. They said they’d email it. I still haven’t received that email. Very shady.
Update…the contract was emailed to me and had their employee’s signature but did not have our signature.

Do not get a training package!!! They don’t fully go over anything with you, will sign for you, and neglect to tell you that there’s a 10 day cancellation policy. Also front desk staff are not helpful and will not call you back. Price for training is also outrageous.

Do not try the free trial! Hidden in the club agreement there is text that says you must give 10 day notice before cancelling and they will not make you aware of it. I saw the free month and wanted to try the gym out to see if it was a good fit and found a better gym. I called in to see how they like to go about cancelling, I was told it takes 10 days to cancel and I will be forced to pay the second month. I told them to eat it and cancelled my card 🤷 management please make it more apparent that you must give 10 day notice to cancel and you won't have so many unhappy customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I paid for personal training sessions that i never received. When we signed up, we told Josh that we would be moving from eagle and would be going to the meridian crunch so I would need to transfer the sessions which Josh said was no problem - that was in October and now crunch said they can’t do it. I asked for my money back and they said they won’t do that either. As far as the Meridian location goes, it is the dirtiest, most poorly maintained gym I’ve ever been to. The sauna and steam room are so filthy. The roof leaks so when you work out in the free weight room water drips on you. This of course is all my personal opinion.

Trained here on and off for many, many years. Crunch has given it a much needed update since it was the athletic club. Decently equipped for strength or cross training. I don't use a ton of machines, but I wish there were a few more options for leg training.

Be careful, I found out the hard way the other reviews were true. I bought something for $99, they never held up their end in that purchase. After countless phone calls & emails they stated they would make it right they still wouldn’t show up to appointments they scheduled, return calls, etc. I asked for a refund, they said yes, here were are 3 weeks after that still no refund. Just took my money and ran with it. Literally fraud.

The Crunch on Fairview in Meridian has had no air conditioning in the back room for the entire summer, as well as part of the last one, and now has no air conditioning AT ALL with no seeming plan to repair it. So if you like working out in balmy, sweltering environments, this is the place for you.

I wasn't happy with my membership, I had to keep my membership for a year. I I talked to about not auto renewing my membership. The lady said she wouldn't auto renew but now they have renewed it. They said it couldn't be undone. My grandson was hurt there he needed 7 staples in his head. We haven't been back in 3 months

Do not sign up for a membership unless you are committing to paying for a year, even if you will not be using the gym. The only reason I am quitting is that I have access to a free athletic complex, at mI y college campus and am canceling this membership so I can meet my tight budget for the school. All I was told is that I should have been aware that I cannot cancel within twelve months without paying a cancelation fee that is equivalent to the cost of the next five months of membership. The people may be good, but the cancelation policy communication verges on being unethical.

I was not made aware of this at the time of signing up for a membership. The only response and answer the manager and staff gave me is that I should have been aware of the length of the contract buried in the club agreement. No mention of this term length or limited window of cancelation was mentioned during the signing up process by the employees. After discussing this with the general manager within a few minutes, he stated nothing could be done. Essentially stating it was my fault, not his business, for hiding it from prospecting customers.

This is the gym for you if you want to feel like you’re walking into a used car dealership every time you go work out. They will endlessly try to up sale you even if you just ask to buy a single water or protein shake. Nice staff! Has all of the equipment that I need to get a good workout (free weights, cardio & cable machines). That said they aren’t the newest so many are needing maintenance. It isn’t overly crowded in the morning when I workout. It would be nice if they fixed the AC in the free weight area (it hasn’t been working for months) now that we are in summer because it is 80+ degrees in that area while the cardio area is at a comfortable temperature. Still I recommend Crunch.

I had a bad billing experience which soured my opinion of Crunch and Harman Fitness.

We had a family member move out of state. When he did they suspended his account. He is not moving back, and they charged us. No reminder. Just a charge.

When I told them this family member would not be coming back and asked for a refund. They refused. The manager, said I would have had to give notice and that an email exchange from six months ago was all the reminder I needed.

The email exchange in question followed two attempts to cancel the membership. The first attempt was a in person visit, at which time we were told we could not cancel. The second was a phone call. Again, we were under contract and could not cancel. Finally, we acquiesced to an account suspension. And frankly forgot about it.

Crunch followed the letter of its policy, and the manager was proud to tell me how important following policy was. But in this case no one is going to use the service, and they are just taking my $20 bucks to be strict.

The email exchange and phone conversation with the manager ruined my day. In the end, the manager followed his company's policies, but it sure felt like I was being mistreated.

I want the companies I do business with to be flexible, considerate, and compassionate.

Went in with my daughter's and the facility was disgusting. Machines needed to be wiped down, there was trash everywhere.  The ladies room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks and we wanted to use the pool but it also looked dingy and smelled of mold. I called to get reimbursed as I paid a whole year up front. The manager stated the contract and said he will not reimburse me for the months of service not rendered. Manager stated there is no one above him. Not only is this place an eye sore to Meridian. It's a disgusting  joke and the staff is completely uneducated on policies as well as management has no customer service.
