As a new mom it is incredibly hard to find time for myself in the day, this facility has provided a much needed break and reset for me! Staff is friendly and helpful, facility is clean and well organized and the sauna is becoming my favorite thing in this entire planet!

I’ve been going here for years on years on years and it’s fun and I like to go with my friends and family to ball up or workout or swim. I just don’t like some people who go there who be disrespectful to me and my heritage and recently I was in trouble for this when I was singing a song by the pool a man made a racial statement towards me and pushed me and I was supposed to take that disrespectful stuff. I see people again, and classes, it looks like it’s coming together.

So horrible, So disrespectful….signed up my two boys for swimming lessons and 5 minutes into the swimming lesson. My 3 year old child almost drowned. Followed by the director of the swimming lesson being extremely rude telling me that it’s always 5 kids to 1 instructor (the instructor was extremely young) then they told me. It was my choice to pull my kids out of the swimming lessons and they won’t give me a refund before I even asked for a refund. The hardest part with this is I’m extremely terrified that my 3 year old will now be scared of water permanently

Awesome Gym! Lots of amenities, Pool, Hot Tub, Racquetball Courts, Basketball Courts, Free Weights, Cardio Equipment, the list goes on and on. Plus all the included classes. Went in to sign up and when I had questions about the contract, the young lady tried to misinform me and was argumentative. I passed, on their lack of "service".
I emailed my concerns via the web site and their response was "Thanks for getting in touch with us. We hope to see you in class soon!". I think not.
I just read their response to another "review" and it kind of sums up the attitude I received... "We are sorry you are not happy in this facility and would like to continue membership with those that are happy in our facility. Please contact ownership so that we can rectify your membership so you can seek enjoyment in your health journey elsewhere." I think so.

The best place! I transferred gyms last year and am beyond happy with my choice. I mostly go to the classes and use the child care as well, which has been fabulous. The instructors are so much fun and I have loved every second. The new owners are some of the best people and I think it's awesome they are the ones teaching some of the classes. Very hands on and fun place! A clear no judgment zone. I also love that everything is included in your membership.

Water and pool room was super cold and the ceiling leaked a bunch of water every so often. Don't catch yourself under one of those leaks, that water is colder than the pool water.

I've been a member for well over 35 years and I have to say the new owners have put more time and energy into improving the place than it's received in the last couple decades. In just a very short time they've fixed some structural issues and some cosmetics and still had time to revamp the old aerobics room into something that is top quality and ready for a lot of different classes. They really want to take care of their members and are committed to quality and service. The two giant weight rooms definitely have the most and best selection of free weights and free weight machines in Pocatello. They absolutely bent over backwards to put together an amazing racquetball tournament that they previously had no experience in and they absolutely killed it it was a huge success. They have a lot of fitness classes, cycling, yoga and a swimming pool, Personal trainers, nutrition counselor, Massage therapy. This gym pretty much has everything a person needs to meet their personal goals and objectives and the atmosphere is definitely laid back but professional. As a lifetime pocatello resident, I really am impressed with where this gym is heading so I had to write a review.

I still don't feel comfortable leaving 5 stars because whether or not the bathrooms' location can be changed, it really makes it tough to go there with kids.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I've used nothing other than the pool at this facility, so I'm only reviewing that. The pool room has no windows so it feels gloomy and closed in there. My kids say the water is hard to see very far in. The worst part is that the bathroom is across the whole maze of a facility, so it's very inconvenient to take children swimming there. Otherwise we like how the pool has two shallow ends and is very affordable.

The people that work here are nice. Most filthy gym I have ever been to. Showers, sauna, and steam room haven't been cleaned in months. Mold, piles of dirt, mildew. When you bring things up to the owner he always side steps it and points out something good he thinks he did instead of addressing the issue.

Been a member for a fews years now. Ever since covid it seems like their hours are getting shorter and shorter. I work very odd hours and most of the time I cant go until late at night and they close at 10pm throughout the week, 2PM Sundays. They use to be open until 2am. Horrible gym. It is not clean and very poorly managed. I cancelled my membership and they charged me $986 in other fees without notifying me. They had somehow lost the paperwork I filled out to end my membership. I was like pulling teeth to even talk to to the woman who handles their finances. I would highly recommend going to a different gym because it will save you from a lot of frustration. Gold’s Gym is less expensive and comes with nicer equipment and a reasonable level of professionalism.

WISH I COULD GIVE LESS!!!!!!!!! Did one of those high-school 3 months for 20 dollars fundraisers. Signed up for more after the three months but ended up moving so I called and told them that I was moving out of town and was told that I would be taken off the system and everything would be cancelled! Great right??? WRONG! A year later and many many phone calls and I am getting told that I have to move 100 miles away in order to cancel. Now, I am having to pay 104% of the cost?????? What kind of business is this? I am in collections for 1.8 k dollars! THEY ARE A SCAM AND HORRIBLE!!! Same thing happened to my mother and to many other people who did the $20 fundraiser. They are only in it for the money. DO NOT go to this gym unless you want to get money taken and b put in collections.

I had a membership with this gym for a year and was less than impressed. The facility itself is extremely run down and constantly just looks so dirty. The cardio room upstairs was closed off from any sort of air flow so during their busier times when a dozen or more people would be up there getting their cardio in, the whole room was so stuffy and smelly and humid. It really grossed me out. In addition, the kids they hire to run the front desk were always so rude, apathetic, and often acted like taking the 5 seconds to scan my membership card was so inconvenient, which really grinded my gears. The billing department, however, was surprisingly great. I was never overcharged and there were a couple instances where due to losing my debit card and getting a new one, the card on file was declined and the billing department was very understanding and waved the fee for declined cards. Aside from that though, I really didn't enjoy this gym and wouldn't consider returning.

The Gym itself is an alright but ageing facility. The problems I have had are related to trying to cancel my membership. I signed on for a 1 year contract and after about 18 months ended up moving to another city. We signed paperwork to cancel 2 months ago which was conveniently lost. Then we were billed for the 2 months it took them to finally notify me we were still enrolled. At which time we went in to remind them we had cancelled and were effectively told to pay now or be sent to collections. Having paid in the good faith that this would formally sever our ties to them and conclude our business. We are now receiving additional phone calls about continuing their service which I would classify as borderline harassment. All of this after we received a letter about 4 months ago threatening collections as they had added someone else to our account and replaced our billing information with theirs and then never notified us once they corrected the issue for them despite having plentiful means of contact including the mailing address to which they sent a 2 month overdue invoice.

Decent gym if you never want to leave. Watch your account though as they wont do it for you.

This place is great. The staff and environment are very friendly. No hot heads. Just a bunch of different people, different shapes, and different sizes all working on a goal of a healthier body and lifestyle. So many different activities, machines, and equipment to choose from.
