Tremendous strength training program. My wife and I have been training twice a week for over 25 years at the Exercise Institute. This "super slow" strength training program is the key to our health and well-being. Two 15 minute sessions a week keeps us fit. We have worked with many of the trainers over the years in addition to owner Mike Teater and are currently working with Nathan and Jake. All the trainers have been fantastic. Highly recommend the EI!

I started working out at EI after I had my second child. I recognized the importance of strength training but had very limited extra time to make it all happen between quality family time, hobbies, and also working full-time. Many years later, I have continued my twice a week, 15 minutes a day, because that commitment to my own health is something I can make, especially when you see results!

Started training at the Exercise Institute when I was 16 years old after I was worried about the safety and instruction of my local high school weights class. My trainer taught me all the fundamentals of weight lifting as well as cultivated my interest and passion for physical education. Fifteen years later, I am still training super slow, twice a week for 15-minutes each. Thank you EI, for keeping my family strong and healthy!

They follow the "Super Slow" training paradigm, using 15-20m of high intensity, single set, low rep, work out with a personal trainer. The goal is time under load, rather than set/rep count, with a typical rep lasting between 10-20s with heavy focus on negative/return.
Personal trainers are top notch, great people, track equipment settings and weight, and are fantastic at wringing every ounce of effort out of you -- critical given most of the benefit comes in the last bit of effort.
A true gem of a gym! :)

I've been going for a couple months and already see dramatic results. The super-slow workout has been safe (and beneficial) for my painful back. Injured or not, 15-minutes twice a week for an effective workout is awesome. Nathan has been a super great trainer showing extra concern, personalizing workouts, and motivating me to give my best. Nathan has done an outstanding job helping me with multiple physical issues. I have dealt with lower back pain for years and by going to the exercise institute twice a week for 15 minutes and pushing my muscles to the limit, my back pain is virtually gone. I also had ACL surgery 4 years ago and have not been able to run the same as I did before. With Nathanβs help, my knee feels normal again and I no longer favor it while running and playing. Thank you so much for helping me. I recommend this low impact, high intensity training for everyone.

Unique approach and very effective exercise. Fits in well with a busy schedule. Do not be fooled by the 15 minute workout... You WILL leave having taken your muscles to exhaustion and feel great having done so. The science behind Exercise Institute's approach is backed up and proven.
