I started with Sam in the middle of June 2023. We’ve been at it 5 months now and I have no plans to stop any time soon. Everything is better. My mood, my strength, body composition. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Sam is very personable, patient, and has the ability to work very well with people’s shortcomings. I’ll admit it took me too long to get proper form on some of the lifts, yet he never made me feel inadequate, and just kept up with the minor adjustments until things were correct.

I am 51 and wanted someone with some real knowledge and experience to keep me from hurting myself while getting back into the gym after ~25 years of desk work and sedentary lifestyle. In the 5 months I’ve been working with him I’ve only gotten stronger and have had no injuries. I was a skinny little guy when I started, skinny fat if you will, and my weight was under 155 lbs when I started. As of today I’m at 175 at 5’10”, not fat, and getting stronger every week.

It's certainly not the cheapest option, but the value is phenomenal. I was a member of the local Y for years, but never went. With Ground Zero, I rarely, if ever, miss a day and I go 3 days a week.

I should have done this a long time ago.

2+ years of training now and still happy as I could ever be and weighing about 190, and stronger than I have ever been at the age of 53.

My husband and I have worked with Sam for close to 2 years now. We started out in group training, and after moving across the country we continued having him program our training sessions. If you are wanting to get stronger then Ground Zero is where to go!

Sam is very patient and taught us proper form while we continued to get stronger than either of us thought possible. If you are looking for a great, welcoming atmosphere to be pushed to be the best you can be, then you won’t find a better gym or coach. He will push you and help you stay on track to meeting your strength goals.

Sam is an amazing trainer who really knows what he’s doing and knows how to teach it in a way that makes everyone feel confident in their own abilities and makes sure that you leave with the knowledge to do barbell lifts safely and effectively. I 100% recommend his barbell clinic and joining his gym to anyone interested. 10/10 experience.

Sam is such a welcoming owner. The gym is clean and organized with comp barbells, comp racks, and nice plates, and lots of great accessory gear. I was just passing through for a powerlifting session, but I’d train here every day if I lived here!

Sam at Ground Zero Strength has been coaching me since July 2022. From day 1 I felt completely comfortable in his gym, and choosing him as my coach! I am 44 years old and I wish I had met Sam sooner in my lifting life! Can't wait to see where I'm at July 2023! If your looking for a Strength coach or are nervous about starting come in to Ground Zero you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Well equipped powerlifting gym in Twin Falls! Friendly owner and a reasonable drop-in rate. They have a good selection of specialty bars and everything is very clean and well-maintained. I’ve stopped in here twice this year while road-tripping across the country and it will forever be on my list of stops in Idaho. I will recommend to anyone looking for a good workout in this part of the world!

Awesome gym - perfect for a traveling powerlifter. I reached out to the owner on a Sunday with one hour notice, and he was able to get me set up with a day pass. Will definitely be back!

I have lifted at many gyms throughout the country and this is one of my favorites in Idaho. Definitely a place you want to push heavy weight. The owner Sam is knowledgeable about strength training. If you want to be pushed to break pr stop by at this place.

I spent a great afternoon learning from Sam at Ground Zero’s 1-1 beginner barbell clinic. 5x star review because it was professional, informative, personalized and just good fun!

The facility is awesome - a really cool space to step into to get in the zone to lift.

Absolutely love this gym. Everything you need if you're serious about gaining strength and none of the frills and gimmicks you see at chain gyms. Whether you're brand new to resistance training or a seasoned powerlifter, ground zero has got what you need. High quality equipment and a supportive community are what makes this gym fantastic. HIGHLY recommend.

This is an awesome no frills gym where you can come get stronger. The owner Sam, and multiple other members actively compete in powerlifting and other strength sports and this gym will be an excellent place for you to meet other individuals who actually want to get stronger instead of standing around posing in mirrors.

There are lots of specialty bars that you will not find anywhere else in the area. Sam has invested a ton into this awesome space and even offers personal training and an in depth knowledge of technique for the major lifts to help you get better and avoid hurting yourself.

Come down and check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

GZS is such a welcoming gym! If you enjoy strength training you will love this inclusive environment. As a woman, it is hard to find a gym that is comfortable and not filled with “meat heads”. This gym has a little bit of everyone, and makes me feel confident coming to work out!
