I teach Pilates in my home studio which allows me to personalize for each individual. I offer one-on-one Reformer, Reformer Tower, Chair and Mat sessions.

I also teach small Pilates Mat Classes (4-8 people) that include props, like the Flex Ring and the Pilates ball. I offer these classes
each Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm at Align Studio in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

In honor of Joseph Pilates’ method, I love to teach clients who are interested in their optimal health, as it relates to mind, body, and spirit.

I can’t recommend Joni enough! She is an outstanding Pilates instructor. From the very first session, it’s clear she is genuinely thoughtful and attentive—she listens carefully to your goals, concerns, and any limitations, making each workout personalized and effective. Her workouts are challenging yet balanced, pushing you to improve while ensuring you stay safe.

What sets her apart is her constant check-ins and genuine care; she’s always mindful of how you’re feeling during the session and offers helpful adjustments when needed. Her pleasant and kind demeanor creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes every session enjoyable. She’s friendly, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable, blending clear instruction with warmth, encouragement and the perfect about of push.

As a lifetime 50+ athlete, but new to Pilates, her instruction is the perfect cross training for my strength and flexibility as well as for my recovery from injury. I always feel rejuvenated afterwards.

Pilates at Joni's home studio is the BEST!! The one on one sessions are truly worth while. Her studio is equipped with a Pilates Reformer with tower and a Pilates Chair. She works with your individual needs, goals and any limitations you may have. Her home studio is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend her!!

I decided to get in touch with Pilates teacher, Joni Hudson, as her teaching methods were highly recommended to me by some of her clients. As someone who has been strength training, with weights (as well as practicing yoga), for over a decade, I am grateful to have incorporated Pilates. With Pilates, I am not only supplementing my other forms of strength training, I am also greatly increasing my bodily mobility; while, at the same time, being more cautious about how I exercise, altogether, in order to avoid unnecessary injuries. For example, Joni has emphasized the importance of not placing too much stress on my lower body, while engaged in certain yoga poses (as many poses can be unduly harmful to the body, over extended periods of time.) In fact, I no longer practice select yoga poses, in my exercise routines, as the result of my Pilates training with her, over the past year.

My Pilates practice with Joni, is still in the early stages. What I have obtained so far, has proven invaluable to my understanding of strength training. This is largely due to the fact that I do not rely on weights, or the TRX, as much as I once did, because I now have the benefit of using the Pilates Reformers. The Reformers are designed to not only help you avoid unnecessary stress (such as training with weights), they are also designed to help improve your flexibility, as well as your endurance. Pilates not only supplements additional forms of exercise, it also elevates your understanding of personal health, and how to train conscientiously and proficiently.
