I’ve been waiting until we moved to Boise to officially join Kvell, and it’s been so worth it. I’d gone to a few “bring a friend” days with my mom and brother (who are both members), so I already knew the workouts were solid—but being here full-time has been even better.

I love that I can just show up, not think about creating a workout myself, and get an effective, functional 45-minute session to start my day. The instructors are awesome—knowledgeable and great at giving form cues that make the movements safer and more effective.

I also love that I can do the workouts alongside my family—it’s a fun way for us to stay active together. And beyond that, the overall atmosphere has a great community feel; everyone is friendly and supportive no matter your fitness level.

If you want structured strength training, accountability, and a gym that feels welcoming, I’d 100% recommend Kvell.

Kvell is not an ordinary gym. You will feel supported and encouraged. There are no machines to figure out and lines to get in to use them. I have never lifted weights in a routine way but am already experiencing results. Coaches Brody and Max are super helpful and kind , offering suggestions on form and technique.

I recently returned to Kvell after being away following bilateral knee replacements. I attended group classes in the past but am now doing personal training with Nik (due to my post-surgical limitations ). Physical therapy was helpful for me the first few months after surgery but I needed more “whole body” strength. In just two weeks with Nik, I am already stronger and walking better/farther! I can honestly say that this remains the best workout program for my busy life. The workouts have great variety and are adaptable to all strength and flexibility levels. Such a relief from my prior self-directed PT, gym or home exercises. Nik has been great about making adaptations for my individual injuries and/or limitations. I would highly recommend Kvell to any friend or colleague. Thx for getting me back on track... again!

Going to one of many classes offered and coached well all days but Sunday has increased my strength and confidence to participate in activities (hiking, playing with school aged kiddos on the ground and getting up with ease). The 45 minute classes go by fast and you will sweat! We start out with a full body foam roll your body will adapt to and need the kneed. The coaches are knowledgeable and assist clients with correct form for safety during strength training. Consistency is rewarded and rewarding. Improve fitness, gain strength, maintain bone density and find your joy at Kvell!

I have been working out at Kvell since 2019 and it’s been great!
What I like best about Kvell are the knowledgeable and friendly coaches, the convenience of its location in downtown Boise, the workout times they offer each day, a workout that you can customize depending on your level of fitness from beginner to intermediate and advanced (each station and exercise you can decide what’s best for you).
It’s a total body fitness plan that is always changing so that it doesn’t get boring. From start to finish it only last for 45 minutes, it’s perfect and totally doable! I hope you give it a try, i’m positive you’ll be glad you did!

Challenging but fun group workouts.

The first 21 days is $49, and you can come for any number of sessions during those days. They also offer personal training and nutrition advice.

The training is organized in 3 week sprints with each week getting progressively harder, but all the 45 min sessions having a similar structure. You normally start with 8 min rolling session, then do metabolic ignite of around 5 min where it’s more about increasing your pulse, and the final part are the strength exercises. Strength part has each time slightly different structure but generally varied exercises where you do 8-10 reps, and 3-5 loops. Each exercise has 3 levels and you can pick whichever one suits you best.

The trainers are knowledgeable and friendly and go around the room, correct the posture and offer advice.

I had the opportunity to visit Kvell while on vacation to Boise and enjoyed the camaraderie and simple, clean, and organized equipment. The class was very streamlined, and the instructor was helpful in fixing form. I got a great workout in and felt like I could easily try the exercises on my own at my home gym with some basic equipment.

I had a session with Nik and he is a wonderful trainer. Nik demonstrated how to do each exercise and training movement and explained what is being accomplished. He explained the importance of proper movement and explained the muscles used and proper positioning and the benefits. Great first training session! I’d say if you want to improve your muscle definition , learn how to incorporate a healthy training program to implement the correct way, so you avoid injury and get the results you are looking for than Nik is the trainer for you. Yep, he geeks out talking about how to develop the body and health you are looking for!

This place is so great!! Easy to book the sessions and I like that booking your time keeps you accountable! The trainers are all so nice and knowledgable, and are there to make sure you are doing movements correctly so that you don’t get injured. I've been getting personal training from Nik for a few months now, and it has been a very positive experience. He is knowledgeable, supportive, and focused on building from the basics. I am over 50 and have struggled to get past old and new injuries. Nik has given me a place to start and I'm finally making progress. The gym has a friendly relaxed atmosphere, and the small group training format is perfect for me. Nik does a great job giving individual attention while giving you space to learn and move at your own pace. I also find it educational to hear the questions from other clients and the guidance Nik provides. Nik has a loyal group of clients who appear to have a wide range of fitness levels and goals and he manages to support everyone. I highly recommend Nik as a personal trainer.

While in Cabo with family I determined to join a join and a tennis club the day I returned. I looked up gyms and was curious about Boise owned gym with the catchy name. I joined the racquet club. After the first week I thought maybe it was too hard, too difficult to keep up. I spoke to a coach Alyssa and she said keep coming. You got this. I kept coming and she was right. I found others just like me. I really like the coaches who help correct your movement. I am thinking I am hooked. I’ve been to quite a few gyms in the area and and Kvell clears all the competition! All of the coaches are fantastic but especially Brody! He has awesome energy and has great first-hand experience and it allows him to be one of the best coaches in the area.

Stop looking for a gym and personal trainer, you have it all right here! I joined Kvell 2 years ago and my nick name should be YoYo because that's how my progress was. I would lose weight, gain some back, lose a lot of weight, gain some back. My progress has been slow, but the last 6 week challenge I 100% committed myself to the process and I feel in love with myself again. These dedicated coaches NEVER gave up on me and they were there to help when I needed it. Not to mention the Kvell members are the best support group you could ever have. Great workouts that are clearly very well thought out. I feel more accountable here than any other HIIT-style gym class I've ever taken so, I'm ACTUALLY SHOWING UP EVERY WEEK and have for more than 6 YEARS. Unique things include foam rollers being incorporated into every warmup (which I love and had no idea how valuable regular rolling can be!). Good routines. Good variety. Good systems. Good coaches. The workouts are designed for maximum efficiency and in just 45 minutes per session, they train every energy system and every muscle group. I highly recommend this gym!

I've been working with Nik, Kvell’s personal trainer, and can’t speak highly enough of him. Nik the best! I'm a runner working through some injuries (post-PT) and Nik has helped me so much. He is careful to tailor my workouts to what I really need/want and provides corrections/information so that I get the most out of it. I have definitely increased my strength but I’ve also learned so much. I would recommend working with Nik to anyone!

Edited 7/5/23: I have continued to progress so much! I took 40 minutes off my marathon time and ran my first ultra. Nik is a phenomenal trainer — challenging, supportive as you chase goals, and a truly excellent teacher.

I was a little hesitant to join Kvell due to horror stories I heard about CrossFit. Well I was pleasantly surprised that Kvell is not that kind of gym! At Kvell I get a full body workout in just 45 minutes and it is geared to all fitness levels and age groups. It is like doing personal training but in a group setting and it is a lot of fun! You also have the option to sign up for personal training if that is what you prefer. The coolest thing is that the coaches greet you by your name as soon as you walk in the door. The coaches are amazing and very knowledgeable and help me every step of the way to ensure I do the movements correct to avoid injuries. The workouts change every 3 weeks and they also provide assistance with nutrition. I am 56 years old and I replaced my big belly with a six pack, put on more muscle and feel absolutely amazing. Don't believe me, how about you try it yourself!

Even before becoming a member, I had heard positive things around town about KVELL as a gym that was on point in its approach to all around functional fitness. I went here with my mom thinking it would be an easy workout for fun. I was dead wrong I’ve never felt so sore the next day. They fit in so many good workouts into such a short amount of time leaving me tired and sore. With the varying levels for each workout it’s very inclusive to everyone whether you’ve worked out before or have been lifting a long time. I’d highly recommend trying it out at least once.

I have just completed my 8th workout during my 21 day trial membership and am so happy I decided to do this. One reason I was drawn to Kvell, besides the location, is the 21 day challenge for $49.00. I had been working out at another gym for a number of years and was in such a rut, but unmotivated to make a change. Moving and an injury pushed me to look for something new. It's hard to really get a feel for a gym by trying it one time. A 21 day trial period for a reasonable price was perfect for me. Also, I feel like I have made more progress in my fitness journey in 8 sessions than the last several years at my previous gym. Kvell is extremely well run, clean, has friendly staff and workouts are super efficient and professionally designed for optimum benefit. Decided to try the Kvell 6 wk challenge and now that it's over I have become a regular member. I'm stronger, more flexible and have more endurance. I really like the very efficient 45 min. workout session that are non-stop and target every area of the body while getting a cardio and strengthening workout at the same time. . Also there are 3 different levels you can choose to work at during each session so you don't have to worry about keeping up with anyone else, just push yourself as hard as you want. I decided to join Kvell’s 21 day challenge. I’m currently 5 workouts in and so far I’m loving it and feeling stronger with good muscle soreness versus some of the daily pains I felt from lack of movement before.

I’ve joined your typical gym before with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, along with free weights and machines. It last about 3 weeks for me.

I had drove and walked by Kvell for a couple of months. It was different in the sense we’re working out in a group and there are free weights but no treadmill, bikes, or machines.

I was so out of shape and no history of exercising. My first day I was exhausted after the warm up. Numerous members encouraged me to keep coming. I have. I’m still exhausted when I leave, but it is better. I’m 68 years old with two new knees. I have improved my overall condition significantly, and actually have quads and calf’s. My posture is significantly improved.

I go four times a week. I started at three times then increased because I enjoy it. There are a lot of very fit people and people like me on the other end of the spectrum. People are friendly and supportive. Instructors are helpful and encouraging.

Go and commit to a month, it gets better and is fun once you get going. Just get going.

Update: I have been coming to Kvell for a little over two years. I am wearing a smaller size pant. My endurance skiing or hiking is way up. The work outs still make me sweat and huff and puff, while I’m consistently working 4 days a week. Sometimes change can be subtle. I was doing an exercise the other day, and I was not using a hand to balance myself. When did that happen? Sometime in the last 8 months.

Every three weeks a new program is introduced with a specific purpose and goal that's designed to maximize your results. Every single instructor is fantastic! I make the drive from Meridian almost daily - it's that good!

The trainers are all knowledgeable and as someone who’s been out of lifting for a while, it’s great to have a coach be able to immediately correct any form issues that could lead to injury. I love the focus on functional strength- this will translate to better bike rides, ski turns, or whatever your outdoor passion is. Being able to just show up, put on your gym shoes and participate in a well thought out 45 minute workout makes for a very effective and efficient gym experience. Very impressed thus far!

The trainers are helpful, kind and bring great energy to the classes. I love that the more I go the less it costs. Amazing fitness center. All of the coaches are so knowledgeable and friendly, and I feel like they are all sitting in my very own cheering section. Personal training has been so helpful in making sure I do the movements right and to help strengthen my most needed areas. Coach Nik is so helpful and answers all my questions, and is just a fun individual to hang with during a workout.

After only a month I could tell that my body felt and moved better. Now it's so satisfying to have an exercise become easier and be able to progress to a new workout level.

So far my fitness journey has been fantastic with Kvell, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. No gym has ever given me such easily noticed results and kept my interest, until Kvell. I highly recommend them!
