Motivate Fitness is a one-of-a-kind gym. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and always make sure I’m using proper form (very important to me), which helps me stay safe and get stronger. They’re incredibly supportive and offer substitutions if you need. I love the small group training—it’s not only effective, but it also builds a strong sense of community between members and coaches. The gym itself is clean and well-maintained, and the members are welcoming and encouraging. We have fun joking with and cheering each other on during class. One of the standout programs is the Moms Lift Club, which supports women during and after pregnancy with thoughtful, strength-based workouts. The workouts are always challenging, fun, and varied, which keeps me excited to come back. During nice weather, I am able to ride my bike to and from the gym since it’s conveniently located right off the Greenbelt in Garden City. I truly feel motivated every time I walk through the doors, and I’m grateful to be part of such an excellent fitness community. Angie and the Mom Lift Club are incredible! As a busy mom, finding time to work out felt impossible—until I found this group. To all the women, especially the moms, I highly recommend Angie as your fitness coach! She has created a welcoming and empowering space where we can focus on our health while knowing our kiddos are being well taken care of in the space next to us.
From the moment I joined her program over 6 weeks ago, I have felt supported and understood. Angie always explains why certain exercises are beneficial for postpartum recovery and always provides modifications to suit individual needs. Even in a group setting, she makes sure to check on each of us and see how we’re doing and feeling.
One of the best perks for her “mommy workout” program is the on-site childcare. Knowing that my kiddos are in safe hands and are having screen-free fun allows me to be fully engaged in my workouts. Angie is definitely committed to making fitness accessible for moms.
The women among our group are truly special too. It's inspiring to be surrounded by other moms who are on similar journeys and the positive energy is motivating. I look forward to the days I get to work out with them!

By far the best gym I have ever been too. All the coaches are great and super personal. They all push you within your limits to reach those personal goals that you may have.
I have lower back issues and knee issues and they all accommodate to ensure that those injuries don't become aggravated. I have thrown my back out so many times on my own but not once have I injured or tweaked it while working out here.
I have seen a lot of improvement in my strength by staying consistent and just showing up. This gym brings a sense of community and an accepting culture that any gym goer can get behind. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking to better yourself and achieve the goals you desire that you couldn't achieve on your own like I have.

I prepaid a lot of money to the owner Junior for 1:1 coaching and the gym membership. He didn't show up for 3 of the 4 coaching session I tried to complete with him. The other big issue was the gym closing often with little warning. I showed up 3x to closed doors in less then a 2 month period. I sent texts and emails to resolve this at the end of 2022 and in 2023. Reputation and keeping your word is everything. This owner lacks integrity. I've heard from others who experienced my same frustrations. I normally do not write these type of reviews but this experience still stands out as horrible one. I'm much happier now that I'm with a professional trainer who stands behind what they promise.

Unique, challenging. Best gym we've ever attended. Small gym, but very well equipped. Smaller size = more friendly, close-knit groups and classes. Fun. Lots of free weights, which are incorporated into just about every class. Classes are never the same: you arrive not knowing quite what to expect other than that you will be tired and sweaty when you're done. Trainers will modify weights and routines for people with different abilities, but in a manner that everyone can still work together. Top-of-the-line treadmills, rowers, ski ergs, assault bikes. Great staff who know how to push people without being over-the-top cheesy, like with some of the national chains.
Quick digression:
First, my wife attended many other gyms before finding this one. Wasn't thrilled with any of them. I don't normally go to gyms as I feel that I was doing more on my own than what I was paying for at a gym: they just didn't do anything for me other than take my money. My wife found this one, was very happy (finally!), talked me into going, and I've been attending since then. Second, I was having severe knee issues over the last couple of years. Doctor visits, even visits to an orthopedic surgeon resulted in nothing other than "stay off your feet for a few weeks" . I'm too active to just sit around and do nothing. Within a few days of starting classes, Junior (lead trainer/owner), asked if he could take a quick look at my knees/legs. He immediately recognized the issues, and recommended some options. My training and stretching routines during the classes were also modified until my knees started improving. Within 4 months, I went from barely being able to get up, to doing walking , then running and even jumping.... back to normal! He knows what he's talking about, and I'm proof.
And btw, their rates (especially for couples) are very good, also better than any others that we found. Couldn't recommend more highly.

I have had such a great experience at Motivate! The owners are knowledgeable, supportive, and so kind. I have never been a morning person but I enjoy starting my day in the gym with these folks, it's always a tough workout but they make it enjoyable. They accommodate all fitness and experience levels and any injuries or concerns you have. Highly recommend!!

This is one of the best gyms that I’ve been too. The trainer treats you like family while making you work hard: not for there sake but, for ours. I never thought I would say I enjoy working out until coming to this gym. Now I wake up early to start my day out with a good sweat, and coaches, and laughs with friends. I was able to get the personalization that I needed in order to get on the right track with my health. The tools were there and the needed feed back as well. Motivate was there the whole step of my current journey preparing me on how to be a better me through a good work out and better eating habits. I would definitely recommend this place. This is my happy place where I can socialize (I get yelled at for talking too much hahah), and workout my stressors.

Visiting from Ohio and went to the 7am class- the gym is extremely clean, the owner was laid back, friendly and passionate about his coaching. Did the HIIT style workout focusing on endurance and it was a great workout. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was so welcoming. There's an adorable little community garden in the back with fresh veggies! I give two thumbs up and highly recommend making this gym one of your stopping points in Boise.

Hands down my most favorite gym that I've ever been to in my life!!! I sadly don't live anywhere near the gym anymore and I'm struggling trying to find a gym in my current area that comes anywhere near close to Motivate. The group mind is so strong, the instructors are beyond helpful and encouraging, and this is absolutely the most #1 judgment free zone. I've been going to Motivate ever since they opened their doors. Junior and Manna are genuine, compassionate, and just truly care for each individual person. Their motivation is to connect lives together, as well as help facilitate each persons goals. Anyone who meets these two immediately feel a connection with them.
Their perspective is...Fitness isn't just physical, it's a mindset of how you approach many areas in your life. It's an understanding of the "why" and "how" we can be successful in our goals. This is different for each person but this desire is the culture of the individuals at Motivate.
I'm an ambitious person in most everything but when it comes to working out, I don't enjoy putting a bunch of time into developing killer workouts. So I love that I get to show up to Motivate each day and the workout is ready to go. Each workout developed by Junior is well thought through and very challenging. It's Tabata HIIT style which I find is THE BEST workout for anyone, hands down. Burning 300-500 calories in 30-40 minutes is realistic and time efficient. Getting stronger while having the endurance to do any functional movements IS necessary in everyday life!
You have to try it. But be warned, you might like it enough to stick around...

I have LOVED everything about Motivate Fitness! The environment, the trainers, the support, the nutrition guidance, the workouts....everything! Hands down the best gym. Group workouts are planned and ready to go when the class starts, but individualized attention is also provided throughout the workout. The trainers provide alternative exercises if you have an injury or express discomfort, so you can bet your exercise is still maximized. Motivate Fitness builds a community. They give back to its members with monthly group/member activities to build those relationships outside of the gym. Saturday yoga is free to its members (or there’s a drop in rate) and on Saturdays they provide small breakfast treats after the morning workout. They are thoughtful and genuinely care about their members; they express it and they demonstrate it. 💪🏽 😎 🌮

I feel like I’ve found my home at Motivate. I always said I would never be a person who wakes up early to exercise but since I’ve started making Motivate classes part of my 6 AM routine, I find I can never go back to the way I was exercising before. Motivate makes it easy to roll out of bed to exercise - the workouts are planned, the music is good, the company is even better. I don't normally like to spend money on gym memberships, mostly because I never have the right direction or motivation to make it worth my time. Junior makes working out fun and easy. Your workout is planned for you so all you have to do is show up. I quickly found myself wanting to go everyday. The staff is extremely helpful to all levels of fitness and expertise. I've also found that the members here are a community. There are not many gyms like this one, that I know of.

I've had such a good experience at Motivate fitness. I have been involved with sports and going to the gym for most of my adult life but never have I seen results like I have while going to Motivate. For the first time ever, I have seen real body change with muscles toning and strengthening while other areas slimming down. I really appreciate that Motivate has nutrition coaching alongside fitness because thats where the results come from! I have met so many new people by going to this gym and I really appreciate doing a hard workout alongside other people rather than alone. Motivate has been a game changer for me! Like most folks I didn't look forward to coming the the gym, it was difficult to push myself, and work out buddies often would flake and make excuses to not show up. Then I met Junior from Motivate, he sat with me and asked me for my goals, what I wanted, and my reasons behind them! Now I hit it hard every morning (save Sunday) I've lost 25 pounds, gained muscle mass, I am 36 and in better shape than I was when I was 26!
