The gym has a lot of equipment and space, which is a plus, but it definitely feels like it’s fallen behind a bit. A lot of the machine attachments are old or missing, and overall the place could use some updates. Hopefully once everything gets moved into the new room, the equipment gets refreshed too.
It’s also been a little frustrating paying full price during the remodel — it just doesn’t feel like we’re getting the full value right now. The locker room is another weak spot; it’s usually not very clean and could use more regular attention.
There’s potential here, and I can see it being a great gym again with some improvements, but for now it’s kind of stuck in between.

I have moved and attempted to cancel my membership by calling the Coeur d' Alene club on August 28, 2025 but was told by a very rude young lady that I could not cancel my membership unless I came into the club to cancel. I told her I could not come in because I had moved and she told me that was the only way to cancel my membership. She then forwarded me to Kelly (s) and I left a message with her. We really enjoyed PEAK fitness up until this experience. I will not recommend this business to anyone after what occured. If I could give you a zero that is what you would be receiving.

UPDATE To Owner Respone
No, you don’t have to tear it down to keep it clean, the roof still leaks, the machines have dust and spiderwebs all over the tops of them, the windows over by the turf haven’t been wiped in what looks like years,
You can upgrade your cables and introduce new machines,
You can pick up some assault treadmills, and bring in new equipment that wasn’t from 2002.
LOTS that can be done before knocking the place down
I’ve chosen to add an additional star to my initial review of this location, staff morale seems to have gone up, however this location will never be more than a 3 star due to all the leaks in the roof, age of building and amenities. It is definitely Not a 5 star gym. And PLEASE for the love of god, don’t ruin this location like the Hayden and post falls ones…. Pickleball isn’t that cool. I think a lot of people would be really happy to see this place turned into a true weight lifting gym, tall ceilings, lots of equipment, open space… if a big commercial gym comes to town like EOS I think they would put you guys out of business… lower your prices or improve your product… and hire more staff. I’d happily pay an additional 10$ a month if it meant more staff, cleaner locker rooms, and more equipment. 65$ a month for what you’re currently offering does feel like a bit of a stretch

Don’t come here if you have Idaho Medicaid they don’t want your business or to even really discuss anything other than getting you out of the club as quickly as possible. Don’t worry though they are incredibly sorry in very concerned tones and body language. I hear 24/7 years you like you’re not an indigent, itinerant, human being. Maybe go give them a try…

I have an issue with … that it hasn’t been resolved with management. Who’s the owner of this place please? I do not like the answer of the manager or how he/ they handle the issue. I am not happy with the outcome. Disrespect from other members

Kelly went above and beyond for us, she really took the time to look into questions we had and accommodated our unique situation. Peak is so convenient because there are so many locations. It has a community feel, with very nice staff that know their members. Definitely prefer over the Kroc center, as we’ve been members of both.

Every single “hand sanitizer” dispenser they have is full of hand soap. I have mentioned it to the staff and no one here cares to do anything about that. Most of the treadmills either don’t work, or make god awful noises the whole time. The whole entire gym is absolutely disgusting inside, I’ve never seen someone in here cleaning. They constantly have a full staff standing bending their welcome desk, and not a single employee ever greets us, smiles, or even acknowledges the people coming in. I have so many photos of the inside of the gym and how nasty they’ve left it for WEEKS. we come here almost every day and I noticed the same things repeatedly not being clean or fixed. Just getting really tired of paying so much money for a membership to get a terrible experience in return. I’ve tried being polite and bringing these issues to the employees/management, and no one cares so just putting this out there!

I had the same experience as Ravyn. Asked for a shake at 6pm on a Sunday and was told that he is shutting the smoothie bar down early. Just like you closed the smoothie bar early, I guess I'll leave the sauna a bit late. Seems like we both have our own definitions of closing time. This is negligence of staff duties and consideration of paying members. I shall reciprocate with a late sauna session

The place is falling apart. Two out of three toilets don't work in the womens' dressing room, the floor isn't cleaned any more since the little older man retired, the swimsuit spinner has been gone for months, the benches are so narrow that anything you put on them falls off. Today after a hard rain , there was water on the floor in the hallway and stains on the ceiling above. This club needs some attention!
PS There WAS a little old man who faithfully mopped the floors right up until covid hit. He would mop part of the swimming pool area each day so it was always clean. He also mopped everywhere else. He did a great job. I hope he made it through covid but he was retirement age anyway and beyond do maybe he just retired. I've been coming here for 25 years.
I love this club but it badly needs a re-do. I think the last one was around 2003??? It was around the time the beige hot tub got replaced with this one. Can't remember exactly the year.

Facility seems nice, with lots of workout/exercise options. However, the men's locker room is DISGUSTING.
It is clear, as soon as you walk into the locker room, it isn’t maintained or cleaned EVER. There is hair all over the floor near the toilets, showers, hot tub, and steamer/sauna. To add to the grossness, there has been a used band aid sitting next to the hot tub for almost a month now. (2 and a half weeks and counting) Clearly no one cleans it.
I pulled a muscle in my back and got a 1 month membership solely to use the hot tub since I can’t lift weights or run around with injury. I have to it every day and I feel disgusting walking in and out of here.

I joined while my wife was pregnant. She was added to my account about half a year later when she was able. Initially I was happy that they said "you can add her whenever you wish" as it worked out well for us. I've been a member just over a year and don't have time to use the gym and went to cancel and they're charging us $199 to cancel as apparently when she was added the contract started over. Is it our fault for not reading the details of the contract? Yeah. But it is really disappointing that they're unwilling to waive a $200 fee for a family that doesn't have time to use the gym, even when I've already been a member for over a year. Should've canceled months ago, would've been in the same place, financially.

Locker room is awesome. No nudity restrictions as locker rooms should be. Locker room has a jetted hot tub that doesn’t stink as bad as most, a sauna, a steam room, toilets and a sink/mirror room.
Small towels are available.
Pool is nice but a bit too warm for lap swimming. I imagine that it’s warm and nice for general play. Exercise equipment is a large selection.
Lobby is pleasant with a fireplace.
First time day pass is $15, then $10 subsequent.

Was a great gym for the time I was there. Although when I signed up they locked me into a 12 month contract. They told me that I could end the contract at any time depending on the circumstances. Heath issues, natural disaster, moving out of state etc.. well ive lived in Nevada the last 6 months and I’ve tried to cancel the membership so many times and I’ve talked to multiple people. Not a single person will send me a word dox or some kind of document to fill out. I’ve even given a current address and yet I get a new statement every month with a new balance and $30 late fees on top of it. Aside from that it’s a nice gym. But there are much cheaper alternatives in Kootenai county without 12 month binding contracts that have equally nice equipment if not better.

Love the hayden peak, and I live out that way so it’s my main gym. But I do often come to cda for the pool. Really like the experience overall. The MINDBODY app for reserving classes or pool lanes is so easy. Clean facility and pleasant place to be. My one complaint is when kids are in the pool. Multiple kids take over a lane or 2 and then it becomes a hotel pool experience. Loud, lots of splashing, just irritating. I usually cut my session short because it ruins it for me. I wouldn’t consider a lap pool suitable for family play time. So my suggestion is this… can the gym staff regulate a time/day schedule when it’s adults only? I feel this could satisfy all parties. Thanks 😊

Peak has been my home gym for over a decade! Starting my wellness journey was so overwhelming, I was working overtime and feeling insecure about the weight I had gained. At 210 lbs, I felt heavy, tired and overall unhealthy. I started with Peaks Biggest Loser Challenge which gave me a boost, I did well each year about 10 lbs lost until I hit 150 now I feel better in my 40s than I ever did in my 20s. The routine I've developed and knowledge I've gained has been amazing. Peak trainers and staff were and still are tremendously encouraging. Tried other gyms but never the same, Peak is my home!

Feels like more and more equipment is getting reserved for group classes. With the recent remodel another large section of the gym has been reserved for "Muv", another workout class. The gym might be big but the space available to regulars that don't use addition group memberships is shrinking. I've had a membership for 7 years, it kills me to see it this way.

I truly love my gym. I've had the pleasure of attending Peak in Cda for over a year now. My experience with administration and staff has been warm, welcoming and positive. The classes offered are varied with many different genres of excersize and times available with some of them being out of this world fun with high energy instructors. I love the racket ball courts and the many different areas to work out in. With the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas being located privately in each genders bathroom, it reduces the amount of people that use them and increases the privacy/relaxation of this time for me. Peak is my 'me' time as a single mom to do something positive for my body and feel like a 100 bucks after a dip in the hot tub or a sweat in the steam room. Peak has also been a wonderful resource for family night for my kids and I. They love the racket ball courts, pool, hot tub and sauna! Peak has been such a huge blessing to my family and I am so grateful:) Thank you Peak!

Pretty terrible membership options and sales staff.
I've been a member of many gyms all over including 24 Hour, Golds, LA Fitness, and I've never had any issues.
I signed up back in December, and after signing my name and running my card, she says, "Oh by the way, it's a 1 year contract"
(Interesting sales tactic)
I called today to find out if I can put a freeze on the account as I've just had a son and don't have time to come in (standard practice at ALL other gyms I've been a member of)
They say that that's only an option if I have a doctor's note saying it's medically required?
I'm then told I can buy my way out of the contract for a mere $200!
This is pretty terrible to say the least.
Consider joining another gym if you need any sort of help from the staff.
