The staff that work on the weekends and over nights are no help and are more busy on there phones. Not to mention the guy that opens is usually late to opening the building at 6am. I’ve been to most of the gyms in Nampa, and I can confidently say this one is the best.

The equipment is in great condition, and the facility is kept impeccably clean by the friendly staff.

While the usual criticisms of Planet Fitness still apply—limited free weights and no standard free-weight press racks (everything is on Smith machines)—I think these are more than offset by a comprehensive selection of functional training equipment, a spacious floor plan that keeps the gym from ever feeling crowded, and a large number of cardio machines that ensure you can always get a workout in.

Hours are incorrect. I and another customer showed up at 6 am to find the doors locked and nobody inside. I stayed in the parking lot for another 15 minutes watching more people show up waiting for the gym to open. Very upsetting, this is the first impression I have of this planet fitness gym.

Great experience clean facility good good weights I wish that they would adopt some free weights especially for a bench press and are dead lift and our squats I mean it's cool using a Smith machine but you know it really be awesome if they would just adopt those three free weight lifting options and just move them into a room where it's maybe it's just those things in there those three things that way if people work fronting or you know really getting into it then it wouldn't disrupt everybody else it's just running or jogging or using machines and stuff so but other than that the experience is great at planet fitness I give them five stars because of the fact that they're very kind there and everybody's really cool and I just go in there and get to do my thing I don't got to worry about nothing just make sure I wipe down everything just go gym etiquette and everybody else in there has really good gym etiquette and they have a lot to offer you know you can shower after you're done working out you can tan they got water stations everywhere and they literally have everything except for free weights so if they could you know just invest in that and I'm sure they'd be 10 times more popular but as of right now I'm giving him five stars for a clean facility kind employees and just of overall fun experience thank you planet fitness

My friend and I wanted to tour this Planet Fitness in Nampa, Idaho, on August 28, 2025, and went around 7 p.m., I was beyond disappointed with what happened. Margie at the front desk was super unfriendly, and another female employee, who was working with Margie at the front desk, got into a loud, heated altercation, making this by far the worst Planet Fitness I’ve been to in the U.S.

The female employee was yelling loudly at a customer, who yelled back, over a total misunderstanding. The female employee wrongfully accused a male customer of taking a photo of her, when he was just taking a selfie by the Planet Fitness logo for work to earn fitness incentives. This created a tense and very uncomfortable vibe, which is the opposite of Planet Fitness’s “Judgement Free Zone” promise.

Margie’s unfriendly attitude and the other female employee's yelling incident made the gym feel so unwelcoming. I urge Planet Fitness to improve staff training at the Nampa location to prevent this kind of thing. I expected a positive, inclusive tour and gym experience, but this was a huge letdown compared to other Planet Fitness locations. I will not be signing up for a gym membership at the Nampa, Idaho, location.

There are times when it gets fairly crowded, so plan accordingly. Patty is a fantastic manager and is very customer service focused. They do a great job of keeping all their equipment functioning.

Been at this Planet Fitness for over four years now and have watched it steadily decline, getting dirty and dirtier, always packed manager and employees just stand around and talk. Recently moved out of state and called to cancel my membership and they would not let me cancel, I could not cancel online either I was told because I have a old membership??? really?? Planet Fitness in Nampa is hands-down one of the best gym experiences I’ve had. The staff is always friendly, the equipment is clean and plentiful, and the vibe is super chill—no pressure, just good energy. But let’s talk about the real MVP: the Black Card Spa. HydroMassage? Yes please. Total body enhancement? I don’t even fully understand how it works but I swear I left glowing. And those massage chairs? I’ve had full conversations with myself about canceling plans just to sit in one longer. For the price, the amenities are unbeatable. 5 stars all day.

I personally enjoy going to planet fitness, and go almost two times a day. The part I don’t enjoy is that for some reason this location isn’t a 24hr gym while others are. It’s hard when the weekend comes along and it’s not open certain hours, even though they clearly have the staff to do so. I’m not alone in thinking this and believe many more members would agree with trying to make this location a true 24hr, 7day a week gym.

I’ve gone to many gyms before but never have I ever been kicked out of a machine from a customer nor have I ever felt the entitlement to walk up to someone and do the same. You cannot just let your customers walk around kicking people out of machines whenever they feel like it and if and so there’s a time limit how can you not just be courteous enough to wait till the person using the machine finishes. There’s people of all ages that go to that gym and if I happen to be someone with an injury and or I’m going at my personal pace? What happens then? There’s definitely a lack of basic customer service skills.

The way this place handles concerns is super unprofessional and just disgustingly rude. This is definitely not a gym of a equality nor a “judgement free” zone. This place lacks basic customer service skills and fairness.

It has completely ruined my experience it being my first time there!
I still cannot believe the level of entitlement and disrespect!! Definitely not a place I’d ever go back to.

I’ve been a member of Planet Fitness for years, and while the facilities are decent, the management staff at this location is anything but. The way they handle concerns is unprofessional, dismissive, and outright rude. Instead of fostering a welcoming environment, they seem more interested in enforcing inconsistent policies and talking down to members.

Park in the back loading back area and you shouldn’t be messed with, I did see trucks parked out front but I feel we shouldn’t park there, that’s what gets us kicked out. I just got a membership there and already regret it. The front desk was not very friendly or helpful. But the lady stocking stuff was incredibly helpful. Each time I went to the front desk(I was signing up that day, so it was frequent, ~4 times) there were two ladies that seemed annoyed, one that was helpful, and three guys in the back that were just BSing for 20 minutes. With six people standing around and just joining, I was expecting a tour like you would get at most gyms, but I guess I'll figure it out on my own.

So my 19yr goes there, and just informed me that while she was in the girls locker room changing, she saw a guy that identifies as a "girl" went in there and changed as well with his (girl) friend. I am more frustrated with the people that work there my daughter and I went in and did our hour work out wanted to use the massage chairs which we have the membership for scheduled the time and then there was no one to activate the chair we waited for 20 min for someone before we left. Then trying to cancel my sons membership since he doesn’t use it I cancelled mine on accident called to get help and was told to just make a new account. Disappointed about them not following through with the "no judgment " rule. That was a major factor in me signing up with this company. I saw a girl with spaghetti strap tank and waist trainer on. She was very exposed. Informed staff and they seemed confused about the rule. Even it being posted in the ladies locker room seemed to be a mystery to the employee. Either way. Not a fan. Equipment was newer than my home location so that was a plus but I didn't use it. Hopefully they don't make a habit of allowing this dress code violation. Terrible management. Amongst a myriad of bad encounters with management and staff, today takes the cake. I'm a black card holder and my kid forgot his key card pass that allows him to enter with me. (Key card was provided by the owner of the gym because of a racist interaction with the staff earlier this year) We've been here for a long time. The management team said he could not enter unless we gave them a boat load of information. To me this is wrong. A child providing all that data for your sales needs is not ok. Very poorly managed! The staff stands around at the front desk talking instead of working. The cleaning stations are always out of paper towels and cleanser. The locker rooms are very dirty as is the whole club. The machines have cracked and worn out surfaces. It does no good to speak with management as nothing gets done anyway. If you want agreat place to work out, keep looking as this place isn't it!
The "dress code" is pretty much non existent. Today (8-3-24) there was a female wearing a tight black sports bra with 4-5 wide slits cut across the front of it. Most of her chest was showing, it was very disgraceful! When I reported it to the front desk the guy just gave me a big smile and did absolutely nothing about it. This place continues to go down hill and staff continues to stand around doing nothing.

I belong to Planet Fitness because of the condition of the gym. I'm 70 years old and have belonged to lots of gyms, some new and some old. Planet Fitness fits the description of being on the old side. But the clientele is awesome. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. Went in to cancel my membership before the next annual fee schedule and the worker informed me I would still be charged the annual fee even though I cancelled my membership almost a month BEFORE the fee is scheduled to pay. I parked here early this morning (like 3am), and I was worried about someone telling me I can’t park here, but the TruckerPath app had someone park here in a big rig a year or so ago and they stayed over night, and didn’t have problems. so I decided I’ll try it. On 1/19/23 while working out in the morning, I had my lock cut and my car keys stolen from the locker I was using in the men's lockeroom. Needless to say the person that did it walked in without a pass because nobody was at the front desk. Neither the Manager or the Assistant Manager ever said a word to me when they arrived. 2 days ago I signed up for membership after coming as a guest a few times. The lady who signed me up was named Mary and she deserves to be recognized. It was very busy when I was signing up, with lots of people checking in, needing help, etc. But Mary was able to juggle everyone's needs simultaneously while still guiding me through the sign up process. She never showed any signs of frustration or rudeness. She was pleasant and polite with everyone, always smiling and conveying the impression that your needs were important and that she was happy to be of service. Staff was ok. I am not a member there so I was just trying it out. I would have thought they would have been more friendly. The place was clean and everyone was wiping down after workouts. Enjoyed my work out. But no swimming pool so didnt join.

Staff is very friendly, joining is easily done through the app, equipment and facilities always look clean and well kept. Also, they continuously have music playing in the background but it's not so overbearing that you can't hear your own music which I like.

I joined this gym about a year ago for $10 a month. Can't beat that but best of all is the gym. Pleasant staff and lots of better designed equipment. I go the the Y and also the Rec center and I really love working out here most.

Some machines need some work, lots of rips in the seats. And please for the love of sanitation the tanning needs need attention! I have to ask almost every time for a staff member to at least clean the top if not both top and bottom. I don't like complaining but it's gross!

Great place to work out. Tanning beds can malfunction and you only get 1 every 24 hours. Depending on the staff depicts if they will allow you to tan at different tanning bed. The manager is great with people! The equipment is assist based which could be different but the best is 30 min workout spot.

big and clean room! I often go to gyms all over America, but when you stand naked in front of a shower and they come up behind you and say that there are 10 minutes left before closing, no one will really like it !!!

This is an ok gym as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. If you know you are joining a gym that doesn't have many free weights and specializing in having a lot of cardio equipment like treadmills, elliptical, and bicycles you will be fine. It can be frustrating that it seems like there is always a few pieces of equipment that is not working. There are 8 stair machines and at any point in time at least two don't work. The staff here don't really seem to care and the facility isn't as clean as you might expect. In line instance I let the staff know there was no toilet paper in the whole men's room, an hour and a half later they hadn't fixed the problem.
If you are fine with a $10 gym with faults than this is your gym.

Had a tanning session scheduled for 8:06. I went to check in at 8:06 and was told that the beds where full for another 7 min. I said okay went and sat down in the lobby. I was waiting for a bed to come open which I guess never did. Some of your staff members are to busy on the phones to worry about checking the tanning beds for opening. Then the guy grabbes his coat and left the building. You really need to find staff that care about there job.
