A wonderful place! We've been going for several weeks and are very happy! This is exactly what my son needs. My child is 4 years old. The staff and coaches are very attentive, kind, and responsive. My son really likes it; he always looks forward to the classes. Thank you!

Best place ever. When my kids just started they were scared of water now, they are learning so fast and with so much confidence. The instructors are amazing. The owner has put so much time into all this and is always involved making sure that the kids enjoying themselves as they learn all new things.

A refund would be great. I arrived to my first class with my 6 month old daughter and was not given any instruction on what I should be doing, where I should be changing, expectations etc. despite telling the gal at the front desk that this was our first day and arriving twenty minutes early. I went to my car and waited until closer to class time and luckily found the changing room where I could get my daughter changed and ready. I uncomfortably waited in the lobby since that’s where everyone else was. When class started I once again told the worker that was checking names off the clip board it was our first time and was given no instruction. When I followed the other parents and kids into the pool I once again told our instructor that it was our first time and through out the start of class she kept giving me funny looks because I clearly didn’t know what was going on and I reiterated that this was our first class. She didn’t have any real structure to the class and it seemed like she was just making it up as she went, besides doing the Hokey Pokey at the end which was the only actual structure to the class. She was trying to get my baby to do things with little instruction or any understanding of developmental level so most of the class my daughter just had fun splashing around, which I can do at my own gym. I truly don’t understand how this place has such high reviews when every employee I dealt with was not helpful and they seemingly aren’t educated on how to teach swimming at least at the infant level.

Very clean and well maintained pool. Instructional classes for young children seem well designed, and my child enjoys the instructors' fun learning styles. My kiddo really loves the sweet treat after her class. The awards given and the bell ring after completing the different stages makes the kiddo happy as well.

Parents beware: I was with Safe Splash for nearly 2 years and will never step foot there again.
They give a good first impression. However, if you stay for more than a few months, any semblance of quality disappears. Most instructors are under qualified or disinterested, and you’re lucky to get the same one more than one class in a row. Instructors, and Safe Splash as a whole, are either unable to identify your child’s needs or the requirements needed for your child to move on to the next level. When we made the decision to leave, all of a sudden my child was offered the next step up from the manager, who has never even worked with them.
Safe Splash requires parents to be loud advocates for their children to receive what you would assume to be the basics, like an actual swim lesson with a quality instructor, EVERY SINGLE CLASS.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was the unprofessional and unethical behavior by the owner. She boasts how involved she is with families and classes, but in my child’s class of 2 students, both of whom had been going there for nearly 2 years, she was unaware of who the parents of the children were, and consequently discussed my child with an unrelated family.
Look elsewhere for swim lessons.

The original class did a pretty good job of introducing the students to the water, however, there was no progression and very little direction. Too much turnover of instructors created lack of consistency for students. My feeling was more like they just wanted to get students in the pool and take their fees rather than truly progressing and teaching them swimming skills. This would be a great place for a birthday party, but not someplace to go to actually have kids learn to swim.

Buyer beware. This organization does not allow for adjusting a schedule ahead of time, in the event you have plans that would overlap a lesson. Today I found out there is a once-per-month reschedule for missed classes.
What’s that mean? Your investment in your child’s safety is beholden to a schedule with NO flexibility for those who have busy schedules. This isn't a short notice cancelation, it’s a refusal to be flexible with their already available classes causing the customer to lose money or never having the ability to have planned events that overlap.
I was told I’m not the first person to have this concern. Maybe it’s time for a policy change.

I absolutely love this place! My son has been coming here for about a year. All of his coaches have been great with him!! Shout out to Amy who had him since he first started and really got him comfortable in the water!
He is now swimming in the deep end and jumping off of diving boards! He can’t get enough! Highly recommend to anyone!!

I have my four children swimming here, age 11, 4, 6, and 7. All my children love it here. I like it here so much better than the Kroc. The changing rooms are private and very kid friendly and also CLEAN. The bathrooms are very clean, and the viewing area is clean also. I love that I can bring my children to their lessons and relax while they learn new skills. The kids move up to the next level when they are ready. That being said the Kroc is nice for advanced swimmers, my oldest daughter takes classes at both, at the Kroc for deep water exposure and safe splash to refine her swimming skills.
Update:
My youngest with high functioning Autism takes private classes with coach Jason and he is exceptional. The best swim coach at safe Splash hands down. Thank you!

They didn’t push my daughter outside of what felt safe to her. She is scared to go underwater and then when she was able to at her class last night, they offered her so much praise and told her how amazing and brave she was. She left there with confidence and wanting to go back!

Our kids have been coming here for over a year and they love it! We have had Mr. Jason as a teacher for multiple classes from toddler to beginner 4 and he is so great and patient with them and has made swimming so fun for them. Mr. Colin has also been one of our kids favorites!

What kind of weird place is this? When you call it goes to a central line somewhere in the US… maybe and no one can answer a question. Their “swim lab” is nothing more than someone watching your athlete and recording with video. Not worth it.

Love the facility, but that’s not what teaches Faith to swim. I questioned why the classes are only 1/2 hour and was told that’s all the kids can handle. 1st class lesson was cancel. Then changed to private lessons. 4th lesson was canceled. Waited for them to call to schedule a make up class. I ended up calling them to schedule and am told she can go for an hour at her next Saturday lesson? Thought they can only handle 1/2 hour??? Trying to get classes in before she leaves 7/22… Paying a fortune for private lessons! How hard is it to find 1/2 hour lesson? A little confused?

They are great with my son! They have taught him all the strokes and provide a great workout. We started in lessons, which are awesome. Personal attention with the instructors and my son did great. Then he moved up to the wave program, where he has learned all the strokes, a flip turn, how to race, all while having a great workout!

The staff has been absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and extremely helpful when we needed to make up classes and also to shift into a class on a different day. Both of my kids have loved their swim lessons and I couldn't be happier with our experience at SafeSplash. Teaching my kids to swim is a top priority for me and SafeSplash has been wonderful so far!

We have tried other swim programs in the past with little success, but SafeSplash + SwimLabs of Coeur d’Alene has been a game changer for our family. From the very first lesson, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and truly focused on helping kids develop confidence in the water. Our daughter is already showing significant progress in her swimming ability, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We highly recommend SafeSplash + SwimLabs to anyone looking for quality swim instruction in a supportive environment!

I would say this location is a 4. It’s clean and staff is friendly. However the poor girl that is always working the front desk could use more help. She’s always rushing around. The corporation itself I rate as a one. They definitely fail their employees when it comes to making sure they have enough help. BEAWARE when they move your child up a class level it removes their end date allowing them to continuously bill you past the date you originally choose. Then only offer your a half refund. I was told aware prior to attending of others having issues with the corporate billing. I should have listened.

We have enjoyed safe splash so much. My kids 4 and 2 have been learning new skills weekly and getting comfortable in the water. My daughter has grown so fond of her instructor, Zoe- she asks about her daily and can’t wait to go back. She is incredibly attentive and energetic with the kids.
Thank you for such a great swim environment!

Rating is just based off of our own experience from lessons to birthday parties.
The building is incredibly clean, bright, and has lots of pool supplies. The pool is big and I love how the pool room is split from the pool to maintain a warm environment for the swimmers. Plenty of changing rooms, seating for adults, and parking.
In my opinion, staff could work on tone & communication.

My only complaint is that it's always so hot in there 🥵 Please reduce the heaters!

We have had such great care and service here at Safe Splash. My son cannot stop smiling even after 6 months of lessons. He enjoys every minute of his classes and has advanced rapidly. This is my 1st time here 8/2023. What a beautiful, clean, calm and inviting facility. I absolutely LOVE that they offer pool side viewing as well as a indoor viewing area with large windows. I also love that they are not blaring music so the instructors and students can pay attention. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I wish I could give them 10🌟

We have been so happy with SafeSplash! My two boys have been participating in "swim jams" this summer and they have made amazing progress and had a ton of fun learning! All of the instructors and everyone that works there have been super professional and friendly. They also keep the facility spotless and the pool is pristine! I highly recommend taking your kids here for swim lessons!

Don’t waste your time or your money. Horrible experience, my daughter got less than 2 minutes of instruction and didn’t want to go back. When I called for a refund I was offered 50% of a pre-paid month…. (For 2 minutes). Bad business practice, bad organization, bad leadership…. Would not recommend

I know I’ve given this place a review already but I have to do another. This past week my son was having a true meltdown and panicking about going in the water. He kept saying he was going to throw up (little info about my son he says that anytime he’s nervous). While talking with him this amazing lady came up and ask if there was anything she could do to help. I explained our situation and she said “let me try”. She took him under her wing and asked him to walk with her around the pool. She had him pick up the rope and floaters one by one out of the water all while talking to him. It go to the point where his nerves left and he didn’t feel sick to his stomach anymore. She sat with him on the steps and actually got him to go in the water all the way to his chest. I was just in ahh with the patients she had. He was just so comfortable with her. At the end of the 30min. I went to tell her how amazing she was and that I’d love to let the owner know how she was and to make a review. Come to find out, she was the owner!! Dawn Deren you are truly a blessing. I know you had other things you had to take care of and handle but you literally stopped everything to help my son. Thank you so much for being so caring, understanding and most of all so patient with my son.
If anyone is looking for a place to have their kiddos or even themselves taught swim lessons this is the place!! Especially with an owner like this place. Thanks again Dawn for everything! ❤️

This is a nice facility, always clean and warm for the kiddos. Instructors were nice and knowledgeable. My sons (5 & 7) went here for 3 months. The only reason I can't give more than 3 starts (and why we pulled them out) is the class sizes. The classes are only 30 mins a week. With 4 kids per class they are getting less than 10 minutes of actually swim time (not just holding on to the wall). They need to keep it to 3 kids per instructor or maybe make the classes 45 mins.

Can’t say enough good things about these guys! For starters, there is no registration period—you can sign up whenever there’s a free class. Classes are kept small (four kids in my boys’ classes) so the kids get plenty of individual, personalized instruction. Price is comparable to the big gyms, maybe even cheaper but the quality is SO MUCH BETTER. The staff here is wonderful too. Everyone is friendly and great with kids. So happy to have found SafeSplash!

My son started out very anxious and didn’t want to get in the pool for his first lesson. Eight lessons later he is swimming confidently underwater and is learning proper swimming strokes and breathing. We love Miss Aiya, my son’s teacher. He is so excited to see her every week and he never wants to leave. She established a strong and trusting relationship with him right off the bat which also led to him feeling safe and comfortable with all the safe-splash staff. I’m very impressed with the facility and the teaching methods used here and I absolutely recommend them.

I have been rather happy here! I have a 9, 8, and 3 year old in lessons. Miss Erika and Miss Arianna (?) Have been phenomenal working with my reluctant 3 year old. He is now blowing bubbles and fully trusts Miss Erika! Miss Arianna has been a huge part of this as well.
I also like how they teach technique. My 9 year old is a great swimmer but he needed some tweaking. They taught him "rainbow arms" etc. And it just clicked!
Their facility is also amazing! Great viewing areas for parents and kid friendly dressing rooms and colors!

I absolutely love the sturctured lesson plans and enforcement of skills needed to be worked on. The difference between Safe Splash and other swim lessons offered in the Coeur d'Alene area is astonishing! Safe Splash is far and above in quality swim lessons. The well trained swim instructors is the major difference. My son excelled more in 4 lessons at Safe Splash than in his more than a year of continuous lessons through the parks and recreation department. I am so happy to have a high quality swim school in our community! They will be saving lives in teaching this important life skill in an area where we are surrounded by an abundance natural lakes and rivers. Thank you Safe Splash!
