Spotlight studios is such an amazing gym. It's been a true blessing that I found them for both my girls. They accept ages 4years and up. There is such kindness that flows through the gym, and teams. The girls aren't held back ,but unsteady they help them achieve their goals, and go further then before. Hands down wonderful πŸ™Œ ❀️

I had two children attend this gym, and while leaving was emotionally challenging, the friendships they formed with both athletes and coaches quickly grew to feel like family. Stacey is a passionate coach who has a remarkable ability to bring out the best in her athletes building their confidence, honing their skills, and unlocking talent in ways that are truly impressive. The experiences and memories we created here will be forever cherished.

I love Spotlight Studios and the amazing athletes they create! I have been an athlete for about 2 months, and cannot express my gratitude enough to Stacy, Chelsea, and the team. Stacey is so welcoming and is an amazing coach. Having a background in Hockey, and having various coaches (former NHL players, and former Spokane Chiefs Players, as well as various former pro players), I have had my fair share of coaches and Stacey sticks out among them all! She not only cares about you as a person, but she cares about creating an amazing athlete too. Thank you to everyone at Spotlight Studios for making me feel welcomed and cared for🧑

The lady who runs this place is not a good person, she is rude and inconsiderate! Make sure you read that contract carefully. She is rude and inconsiderate and is showing her students that is ok to be that way too!

If you want to win a trophy/ring/banner at the expense of your child's mental & physical well-being, look no further. This is a business with mandatory contracts, and breaking those contracts will cost $$$$... Save yourself a lot of money and frustration, and save the innocence of your child from the verbal and psychological abuse of this toxic environment.

*I've attempted to coach with the owner many times over 10 years hoping things would improve, and they have gotten even worse. Just ask a former athlete or parent. It's a cult at best - and no child should be subjected to the constant obsenities, coaching temper-tantrums, and verbal abuse that occurs when the doors are closed and cameras aren't rolling.

Stacey was so rude to everyone. She would throw things at kids if they didn't get it right, she would put way older kids like 12 year olds in a littles team so a 12 year with 6 year olds and the cheer community at spot light was SO toxic everyone had drama. They were also Coaches that Stacey refused to pay so she ended up firing one of the best Coaches cause she didn't want to pay them. I do not recommend taking your children here if you do Stacey will be nice in the beginning but by half way through she's not so nice.

We have been here for 5 years and have had amazing experiences. My daughter loves her coaches and the gym. Stacey the owner worked with my daughter for over 4 hours, one on one, to get her through a mental block, at no charge! Monthly fees and uniforms are on par with most other gyms.

I want to give a shout out to this amazing staff! They all spend more time with our children than most. We have trusted these individuals to help mold our children into successful thriving adults. Parents is hard y’all. Coaching is harder because they fill in the gaps. Drea has welcomed our family with open arms. She knows and answers every parents situation and child 24/7. She has never judged only offers support and solutions. Stacey, Bailey and Joan have pushed, encouraged and entirely changed Jaelyn; she is not the same child physically or emotionally that walked into that gym 6 months ago. THANK YOU. This CHEER gym and more importantly this staff and beyond amazing athletes have helped Jaelyn find her true grit and light. I will forever be grateful. SPOTLIGHT DOMINATES 🧑🧑

We have been with Spotlight for nearly 2 years. We love Spotlight! In our experience our kids have learned team work, responsibility and dedication to a team sport. They have also learned without hard work and dedication from the team as a whole, it hurts each individual athlete and the time and effort they put into it together. We whole heartedly support Spotlight and each athlete that puts in the time, effort and dedication to help the team be strong and successful.

I removed my children from this program due to the mental/emotional abuse and bullying the suffered by other athletes and the coaches hands. Bullying is not only accepted but encouraged among staff, coaches, volunteers and athletes. I have witnessed kids having items such as shoes, phones and flower pots thrown at them if they are not performing well enough or the coach(owner) decides they are not working hard enough. My son whom is 6 foot 220 pounds was repeatedly called fat and made fun of. He was even told by a coach he wasn't good enough for the team and made to feel useless, losing a lot of self esteem. He was forced to buy a medium uniform(if we didn't accept it he was harassed for not having the uniform by kids and coaches.)and told it would encourage him to lose more weight. It was so tight on him it created bulges. He wears an XL. My 11 year old daughter was forced to do a plank with a freshly broken/casted arm the coach not caring she was crying in pain. After healed and cleared they were not letting her participate in activities. When the coach told her that, she thought the conversation was over and walked away. The owner then came up to her and told her if she ever walked away from her staff again they would have problems. This made my daughter feel extremely threatened and scared. The coaches clearly pick favorites on the team and don't give the athletes equal chances to try and be in skills or stunts. Even ifand athlete can do it and the coaches "favorite" is struggling. They are money hungry. They charge so much for uniforms, they are constantly adding new shirts/shorts or bows they want you to buy. It's unbelievable. And if you want to leave they charge you for everything even if you aren't there. I do not recommend having your kids at this gym.

This gym is toxic. The lie manipulate and bully parents and the kids. The scream yell and throw things at the children. They went to camp and took my granddaughters gold earrings and refused to give them back worse they have my grandsons medication and won't give it back. He needs his meds . We have the entire camp to verify this as well as the owner of the camp who personally saw it and let us know. He also will not be letting Stacy ( the owner ) never come back because of the abuse!! If you care about your childrens mental and physical health I wouldn't go to spotlight studios!!

We have spent 2 years committed to spotlight. without a doubt what I have witnessed is the up most unprofessional ownership I have ever seen. All she cares about is the dollar. Our daughter started at Spotlight when she was 3 years old and we are now entering our 4th season. She did 2 years prep level one, 1 year Regional level one, and this season at the age of 7 she is doing Regional level 2 and level 3. She is a base on level 2 and a flyer and tumbler on level 3. We absolutely love spotlight, the owner Stacey, and all the coaches. Our daughter still loves to attend cheer every week with as much excitement as when she first started 4 years ago. There are different programs to fit anyone's pocket book whether your wanting an intro to cheer or whether you have already done cheer and want to compete. There are numerous resources available to build tumbling and skill from tumbling classes and private lessons. We love that we have the availability for our kiddo to push herself and skill build. This is a competition gym and our family is very competitive in baseball, football, wrestling, and now cheer. We love the dedication and discipline that comes from this gym and all the coaches as well. Who doesn't want to win? This is what we strive for is to be the best and to win and I couldn't ask for anything more from spotlight. Thank you

Let me start by saying, we left after 2 1/2 seasons and the owner is nothing but a money hunger rude bully. She yells at her younger athletes. We moved to Idaho a year ago and both my girls joined spotlight. They were 8 and 5 at the time.
We have been absolutely impressed with the organization and coach Stacey. My 5 year old is adopted and deals with some abandonment issues. Stacey took her in and made her feel so loved. She gives her so much love and my daughter is a bit closed off to affection and the hugs from Stacey and the love she feels at cheer have changed her little life. My girls light up when they see her. I can’t tell you how much it has helped me with my five year old. I’m so grateful.

My 9 year old has truly found her passion. She was so shy and to watch what she has become this last year is unbelievable. I love that she is pushed, encouraged and loved. I can’t believe the skills she has learned in just a year. Stacey calls them athletes because they are and she doesn’t deal with drama.

I have sat through multiple meetings and I am so impressed with Stacey’s leadership, in fact I have applied some of her principals in my own business. She is preparing our children for the future, teaching them to take responsibility, and teaching them how to be good humans in this world. She said in a meeting one day that she wants our youth to be able to go out and be successful and great humans in this world.. I’m all for that and she delivers.

We have five children and our three boys play football and wrestle. I have seen good coaching and not so great and Spotlight is great. My husband loves her style of coaching and he was not so sure about cheer because we were so new to it as a sport. We need more of it in this crazy world.

Stacey pours her heart and soul into this program and into the kids. She teaches life lessons, team, family, honor and I feel my girls are thriving there.

If you are looking for any level they have it. They have championship teams and she puts just as much into the part time and younger ages.

My daughter is going on her 7th season with Spotlight Studios Allstar Cheer. This organization has been an amazing part of her life, it has taught her commitment, time management, responsibility and accountability. As a parent, I am so grateful that Stacey has helped instill these life lessons in my daughter. Is she tough coach? Absolutely, she expects each child to give her 100% as she gives 100% to each child from that she has gained respect and love from her athletes. Thank you Spotlight for giving our community this amazing establishment for our children.

We have been with Spotlight for about three years now. We absolutely love them. I highly recommend not only this sport but this gym to every parent. They push my daughter to be the best that she can. My daughter has learned so much from this gym. She gets amazing grades in school. Is a star student. Has no behavior issues at home or school. I 100 percent believe that this is because of the hard work the spotlight coaches have put into working with her. I have seen the head coach cry when she talks about how much she loves these kids. Sure she pushes them, but that’s what a coach does. That’s what a parent does. And she treats these kids like her own.

My daughter has been at Spotlight for just over a year. I love the staff and all the coaches. My daughter has gained so much confidence and it has been such a blessing to see her come out of her shell. Yes, my daughter works hard but it’s also because of the dedication and love from the coaches that she has gained the skills she now has. Our family has recently been going through something and Stacey has done nothing but been supportive and caring towards my daughter and our family. It wasn’t all about the money, but rather she was all about whatever she could do to be there for us. That says so much to me about the amazing person Stacey is and the heart that she has.

We came to Spotlight Studios almost 2 years ago. Spotlight has become our family. My daughter was done with cheer before we transferred to this gym. She was bored and tired of not being able to throw the skills she has. We went to Spotlight and she was able to shine and use her skills. Not only did she perfect the skills she has, she quickly progressed in skill level. We drive 2 hours to be able to go to Spotlight because there is no where in our area at this level. We love being there.

My daughter joined a year ago. At that time she had been working on a back hand springs in gymnastics for a couple years She convinced herself she couldn’t do it. With in a few months she was doing them. Her confidence began to grow. Then she started working for higher skills and lost her confidence and wanted to quit. I contacted the owner and she was immediately texting words of encouragement and met my daughter at the gym with encouraging words and before long my daughter advanced her skills. Most importantly to me she increased her confidence and her belief in herself. Cheering is fun and I LOVE watching all the girls but as a parent I Love the life long skills that she is learning. Working with others, doing things that challenge her and pushing through to achieve them and confidence and a belief in herself!!! Priceless!!!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Being a parent of a competitive cheerleader is hard work and sometimes watching our children get pushed to the limits is difficult, because we slowly see them lose heart in a sport that they love. I'm very thankful to Spotlight Studios for helping my daughter stay passionate and confident over the last 3 years. I love how the coaches and athletes, no matter what team your on, encourage one another to do their best! I have seen the coaches teach many skills. self discipline, accountability and teamwork are just a few. Thse skills aren't just enforced at at the gym and during competitions their ment to encouraged in every day life. Thus making your athletes mentally stronger and confident when facing life challenges. It definitely takes a commitment from both athletes and parents. Yes It is an expensive sport, and maybe not for everyone. However I honestly believe that our children will get more out of it than we will ever pay into it!
Well that's a risk my family is willing to take 😁

I have read the comments concerning the negative reviews about Spotlight Studios. I would like to be clear on a few of the comments I have read.
First, the comments on Stacey being "Verbally Abusive." I have personally watched Stacey as she is coaching these young men and woman, she has raised her voice seveal times but not in the "abusive" manner i have read. I have witnessed Stacey jump and run to these athletes screaming and hugging and high fives to celebrate there successes. Honestly it was incredible to see the level of excitement from both the athletes and Stacey. Is she passionate YES but that is because she knows these kids deserve it and they work hard.
Second, I have seen things saying the staff is rude. I have and always do ask a million questions to all members of the staff. Not one point did i feel like I was a bother to them. They have made several accommodations for me and my family. They have always talked to me with respect and patiences. This staff has alot on their plates and are consistantly juggling several things at any given time. As a parent i can undertand that sometimes when we reachout we may get the feeling that we are being "ignored or short" we need to understand the position they are in and maybe be more patient.
Third, this may come across mean to some people but I do agree with having to pay a fee if your child quits a sport. You signed the contract and hopefully read it throughly to know what you are signing. I feel if a child is agreeing to a sport they should see it to the end. If children kept coming in and out of this sport as much or as little as they like than "OUR" children can be at risk of injury. They have certain routines they practice and a certain number of people. If these things change than it can be detrimental to the whole.
Fourth, as money goes yes it is a very expensive sport. Traveling and competing can add up quicly, however the Spotlight staff does try to accommodate and offers options to do fundraising to help your family with costs. For example the past few years the athletes can sell real classic christmas wreaths. They start at $25 to sell but your child gets $7.50 in there account to use towards tutition, competion tops, bows, sports bras for competition ect.
I am a step mom for an athlete and i have not signed any contract and at not one time did Spolight ever make me feel less of a parent or disrespect my child as i have seen some of the claims. Spotlight is passionate and demands attention, attendance and giving it there from all athletes because that is what it takes to be competitive and win championships. If you want a place that will push your child and celebrate their successes and watch them grow not just into an amazing athlete but stron values as a person go to Spotlight cheer. You're experience is what you make it. I was always told 'you get what you put in.' Please don't let other people that feel like signing a contract doesn't apply to them or that being passionate is a negative thing stop you from really enjoying this gym.

This year will be my 8th year of doing competitive cheer with spotlight. I never knew when i joined this gym that i would create such a big and kind family. i love this gym so much and would never change what i have done with this gym. Yes, it is 100% hard work, the whole cheerleading world is all hard work. This gym has taught me so much over the years. I’ve learned that hard work will always pay off. Of course Some practices will be hard, Some practices will be fun, but even after the hard practices i can come home knowing i did something good. I can come home knowing that i just worked so hard with my team. I can come home knowing that i’m making myself stronger and my team will be successful! I can come home feeling accomplished and like i’ve done something with my day at cheer. Spotlight has taught me that hard work pays off. I will never be able to explain the feeling of getting called for first place with your best friends, and family. It’s the best feeling in the world. It makes every step of the way worth it. At spotlight i’ve learned the true definition of family. Family isn’t just someone who is blood related with you. It’s the people who go through the tough times with you, and push you to do your best. They are the people you create memories with and love and care for eachother. i don’t know where i would be without this gym. I 100% recommend coming to this gym. Be prepared to put in your best efforts, work hard, and be successful:)

I dedicated 10 years into this sport, and 5 of them towards Stacey and this gym. It was not worth it. Yes we won and brought home some titles, but Stacey treated me horribly. She made me leave due to my mom unable to pay over 30,000 dollars a year, then when I left she told my team that it was out of Spite and because I hated the team. It turned all my friends against me. This gym is only a β€œfamily” whenever you are actually signed onto a contract there. Once you quit or no longer able to compete with them, they all turn against you. That β€œfamily” I once had is gone. Stacey is a horrible coach and honestly a horrible person at heart.

I signed my four year old daughter up for the spotlight cheer team in June where I was charged $100 registration fee. Plus $65 per month. I also had to purchase 2 sports bras for $65 each + $30 in bows. Plus $130 cheer shoes not purchased through them and $25 cheer shorts. When I signed up I asked a million questions and was told that there was a parent viewing area that I was welcome to watch from. They were very nice and accommodating before I signed up. After the first couple of weeks things started to seem very off and went downhill quickly. It all started when they had a different coach step in for my daughters practice. Who had a very harsh and different coaching style especially for young children. She also would grab them and pull them around into place by their arm. My daughter ended up in tears. Then this last week I was told that I could not be in the gym during practices anymore and parents were not allowed until the last 15 minutes of practice. I then moved to my parked car to watch from outside. I saw that same coach come into there practice and my daughter was in tears again and was told she could come to me. They proceeded to shut the garage doors so that I could no longer see her. Another parent walked by and saw this and waived me over to come in there. I watched the remainder of practice from there. My daughter was terrified. I waited 40 minutes after class to talk to the owner about the NEW policy not allowing parents to be there and the conversation went quickly to the owner verbally attacking me and my mother and she yelled and screamed at us and her office lady in front of 4 other parents. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. After this I requested to be refunded my $100 sign up fee since I was given the wrong information and would have never put her in a program with that rule. The front desk lady even admitted she had told us that parents could watch. The front desk lady told us this was a new policy they started a couple weeks ago. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We put our daughter in dance, gymnastics, soccer and never have experienced anything like this!

At first it was a great environment, until all the extra costs started to accumulate, then the gradual abusive behavior from the owner and her staff to the point of my child crying on a almost every practice occurance, then when told my child would no longer attend she was told to return her captains bow (which she earned) and they would charge a quitting fee...fyi no where in the contract does it state they have a right to verbally abuse your child and i have contacted a attorney if they continue to push this issue, DO NOT take your children to this gym.

Stacey the owner only cares about winning and money, and not about the children. I understand competition but not the mean, manipulative, and immature nature she betrays to her students and parents. Another review said it perfectly. A bully and a liar. She literally has students chant that they hate a child if she is upset with them or they decide not to renew their contract. I was astounded!!
You will spend thousands of dollars on lessons, competitions, makeup, hair pieces and a ridiculous amount on outfits PLUS unprofessional behavior and staff. Take your child to a place that cares about them. Team sports can be so beneficial.

This cheer studio is the worst place you could send your kids. I would never recommend Spotlight Studios to anyone. My daughters were severely denigrated and verbally abused by the coaching staff at this gym. My daughters didn't tell us much that was going on but, thankfully, a parent, I didn't know, happened to be there the night that it got really bad. She came up to me at a cheer competition to let me know that she was appalled by how my kids were treated and wanted me to be aware of it. We contacted the owner who never bothered to call us back. I could not in good conscience send my kids back there until this was resolved. And for our troubles, the gym billed us anyways for leaving. Also, they decided at the last minute to change competitions and we were stuck with travel expenses that were non-refundable. Nice? Don't send your kids there.

This is a good gym for athletes that wish to excell at an elite level. You should go into with a firm commitment to hard work because that is what your teammates and coaches give. These kids are coached up to a high level of achievement.

Athletes beware. Incredibly abusive gym with no respect for long term team health. Very money focused and now they use intimidation and humiliation to try to get what they want. Things have changed and people should not subject their children to this environment.
