We absolutely love The Barre Dance Academy!

This is our daughter's first year on the competition team, and every single experience has exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed, supported, and part of a true dance family.

Amber, the amazing owner, brings passion, professionalism, and heart into everything she does. Her dedication to the dancers is unmatched, and it shows in both their growth and their confidence. The training is top-tier, and the environment is both encouraging and inspiring.

We’ve seen our daughter not only improve as a dancer but also gain confidence, discipline, and so much joy. We couldn’t be more grateful to be part of The Barre family. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dance academy that truly cares!

Small studio and building on the processes still in their growth phase in some cases but very attentive to my girls (3 enrolled) and the chaos that comes with it and easy to get along with. If you’re looking for the less drama more dance and none of the caddy dance mom bs, as a dad it is better than I’m used to.

This company has changed the way we feel about dance family!!! Competitions are so fun and Amber is so involved! You won’t have to wonder who is really in charge or if she is putting in enough time!! Worth every penny and every hour!

Unprofessional - don’t rely on anything Amber tells you.

I enrolled my 3 yo and 5 yo in a semester of dance classes each. My experience throughout the semester was a poor introduction into the world of dance.

Amber cancelled at least 20% of the classes, often last minute. She refunded some of those cancelled classes. When she did get a substitute they were late and would end class early. Once I found my 3 yo completely alone and crying cowering by the door when I came to pick her up on time. I couldn’t find any adult to inquire as to what had happened.

I paid for a video of the spring recital so I could help out backstage. Not only did I miss my girls performances, but the video I paid for was never delivered. I was given promises of this date out, or in this many weeks, but nothing. I have missed that opportunity completely. She now ignores all communications about this subject.

Additionally there were many unforeseen last minute very expensive costs that were not transparent during enrollment. I would suggest that Amber price costumes into her overall class costs and not ask for $100+ in less than a week’s time because she realized this was a cost that needed to be considered. I have more thoughts about the quality of these very overpriced cheap costumes.

While I do think the dance skill and healthy body image is a positive representation of this studio; it is not worth the heartache that dealing with the constant unprofessional and ever changeable Amber. Steer clear of Barre. It will break your heart.

Our 3 year old goes to Barre Dance studio. She is doing a dance/tumble class. Which is basically a class to learn how to use thier bodies. Amber, the director is so patient and calm with all the kids. She gets o the floor with them and is so kind. She even does Saturday dance classes! We love her and recommended Barre!

This is a great studio! Just saw their recital and it was amazing. Choreography and costumes were on point. They have something for all ages and all styles. Ballet, Jazz, HipHop, and tumbling to name a few. Amber (the director) was very professional and involved!
