I’m a regular at many of TNY's hot/warm vinyasa style classes (and love a vigorous challenge!) but have also loved the addition of Jodeen's Warm Meditative Movement class to my weekly schedule to mix things up. The class is slower in pace than vinyasa but it has more movement than a yin class. There is full body stretching with movement at a pace that brings focus and strength work to the core. Happy hips, happy spine, happy shoulders. So refreshing to have movement, but a little break from countless vinyasa pushups! You leave this class feeling blissful and maybe you’ll even fall asleep during shavasana.

My place to go when I visit Boise. I regularly come to Boise for work and this is one of my all time favorite yoga studios. I wish I had a place like this in my hometown. D’Arcy is amazing. She guides you through each flow/pose, reminding you of places of attention to correct your pose. I always leave feeling amazing spiritually, mentally, and physically! Thank you!

As a recent graduate of the yoga teacher training program, I cannot recommend True North Yoga and their YTT program enough. This studio is so much more than a place to practice yoga—it’s a vibrant, supportive community that has the potential to truly change your life.
True North creates a welcoming space where you can show up exactly as you are, no matter where you are on your journey. The teacher training program is comprehensive, offering not just instruction in asanas but also an exploration of the eight limbs of yoga, making it a truly transformative experience.
Whether you’re looking for a studio to deepen your personal practice or considering the YTT program, my advice is simple: just do it! You won’t regret stepping into this incredible community.

True North Yoga has an amazing vibe that keeps drawing me back for more. The teachers are wonderful and the space is very welcoming. My first experience with the studio was a training module last year and I continue to return for more modules and classes.
I just finished my Level 1 Sound Healing Facilitator training with Crystal Moore at True North Yoga. The training was both transformative and healing. Crystal brought her beautiful personality as well as an abundance of love. I left the training feeling both restored and inspired. Crystal is a master sound healer and Reiki practitioner. I would not hesitate to recommend her or True North Yoga to anyone. Many thanks to True North Yoga for providing the space and many thanks and blessings to Crystal for the work you do. -Heather

I had my first ever yoga class here and I was blown away by this studio! I did a workshop here and it was an amazing experience. The place is very quaint and well kept. Entering the studio is an experience of its own, (you travel to the back entrance on this wooden bridge-like walkway) and it feels like going into another world somehow, and when I left I felt like I was seeing the world in a completely new light. Yoga was recommended to me and so was this workshop I participated in, and I plan to look into future workshops or possibly even a membership here as well, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try yoga the first time. The experience was amazing! Thank you True North Yoga for the experience!!!

During my week-long visit to Boise, I was eager to maintain my yoga practice, and True North Yoga provided an exceptional experience! Paul and Naomi, the owners, along with the other instructors, were truly amazing. Their extensive knowledge of specific yoga practices and theories, coupled with their ability to lead immersive, productive, and challenging classes, made the entire experience fantastic.
The studio itself is inviting, clean, organized, relaxing, and beautiful. I felt a warm welcome from both the instructors and fellow patrons. As someone relatively new to yoga and meditation, I appreciated the instructors' non-judgmental and helpful approach during class. Their on-the-spot individual instructions greatly assisted me in achieving the correct form, breathing techniques, and more. The overall atmosphere at the studio made me feel relaxed and secure.

True North Yoga is our family's favorite studio. It has something for all of us, although we do gravitate towards the Warm True North Flow, having found it to be a well-balanced practice offered several times a week. All the teachers that I've had at True North have been knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging and they often give adjustments during class, something that used to be standard in yoga studios pre-Covid but can be hard to find now. I also like that they have retained some of the certified Iyengar teachers from this studio's former iteration and the schedule retains a few specifically Iyengar yoga classes. Thank you to Naomi and Paul for bringing this studio, with all its variety, to the North End!

After finding an online community to practice and grow with during the pandemic, I had tried and failed at multiple other studios to find an in-person experience that felt like that perfect blend of community, comfort, challenge, education, and spirituality that I had found online. It’s a high bar, but many of the other studios I had tried hadn’t even come close. I found True North a little over a year ago and piece by piece it all started coming together, eventually even finding myself a home here as a regular teacher. Every single instructor here has their own unique blend of wisdom, style, and love for the studio and their students. I also love that each of the studio rooms has their own vibe. Every day that I walk in, whether it’s to teach or take a class, I’m met with nothing but smiles and genuine souls that want to connect and move together. Like I said, it’s a high bar and I’m excited to watch this community continue to grow.

I was first welcomed to True North last winter when the studio offered free yoga passes to the students and teachers of the University of Idaho. This was a very kind gesture to the community at large following some tragic events in our state. It also happened at a point in my life where I was very much in need of a place to breathe, stretch and relax the mind/body. Practicing with all of the teachers and students there has been a very positive component of my life, and it certainly feels like home! True North has high caliber and experienced teachers, which really shows in the amazing clientele and energy of the space. I felt at home at TNY as a teacher the moment I walked in. And have been so proud of the offerings and classes that are available to the Boise community. Without hesitation I recommend TNY as a place of growth and learning. For new and experienced yogis alike!

I've been practicing regularly with Marcy Midnight since moving to Boise, and I absolutely LOVE her Wednesday evening classes at True North; her offerings allow students to go at their own pace, incorporate breath, movement, and meditation....a true recipe for connecting to source! Marcy is one of the many amazing teachers at True North, and the entire community that's been created at the studio is like a cozy hug! Another go-to weekly class I enjoy is Paul Graham's Saturday morning hot vinyasa. Not only do we get that embodied practice, we get to sweat it out in the heat, while TRYING to keep our breath steady amid Paul's hilarious jokes he likes to sprinkle through class. Great way to start the weekend, and a great community to practice with; highly recommend True North!

True North Yoga is my favorite downtown Boise yoga studio to practice at. There is a variety of classes & workshops available year-round & the teachers hold themselves to the highest professional standards. I always feel more than welcome, no matter whose class I attend. The space is sparkling, organized, comfortable & well-appointed. The owners of True North are well-rounded practitioners who network with other practitioners throughout the valley to lend support & uplift the yoga community through their knowledge, expertise & impeccable character.

I’m an Iyengar Yoga teacher at True North. After owning my own studio in Boise for over 25 years, I know the difficulty of keeping everything going. Paul and Naomi do a great job of finding balance and positive energy for all of the students and teachers. Namaste’

I absolutely love the yoga classes at this studio. There is such a wide variety of styles of yoga classes (from Iyengar to Yoga Nidra), and as far as I know, the only studio that offers hot yoga and normal temp yoga in the same place. This studio absorbed some of the best teachers from Sage Yoga & Boise, which used to be Boise Weeklys "Best of Boise" before it closed down during COVID. Teachers whose classes I have taken and who I would highly recommend are: Naomi Jones, Corinne Hathaway, Alyssa Rogers, Jesse Jarvis, Liz Hilton, Marcy Midnight - though you really can't go wrong with the caliber of teachers offered here. This studio is also conveniently located in a part of town where there's plenty of street parking available. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with true north yoga studio in my neighborhood. Despite paying for a monthly unlimited membership and frequently attending classes, I felt unwelcome as if they were offended by my regular visits.
The issue arose when I wanted to set an end date for my membership, which required me to personally approach an instructor. However, I encountered inconsistent information from the instructors regarding the process. One instructor said I could pause my membership, while another gave me a different story.
To complicate matters, the instructors had to consult with the owner because they were unsure of the correct procedure. Unfortunately, during this interaction, some of the instructors were rude and unhelpful towards me. I had to involve the owner to simply pause my membership.
I reached out to the owner to clarify the pause policy, but instead of providing clear information, they suggested canceling my membership. At that point, I decided not to return to this yoga studio. Fortunately, there is another studio just a block away, and I also have the option to practice yoga at home.
While I acknowledge that there are some positive aspects to this place, I cannot recommend it if you want to get your money's worth and receive good customer service. However, if you're curious, it might be worth trying out this studio, as they may improve based on feedback and experiences like mine. Ultimately, there are other yoga studios where you can find a welcoming community and enjoy your practice.

Justina's Yin & Nidra Workshop was spectacular. After two hours of gentle stretching and a guided body scan, I felt so relaxed. Justina gives great explanations for how to do a pose and why you are doing it. Her voice is soothing and effective in Yoga Nidra. I highly recommend any of her classes!
