Loved the place. It was some much fun getting over my fear of heights and trusting that my teachers and the rope to help me down safely. I was a beginner rock climb so I tried the different walls that they had and none of them worked for me so the people working there where so nice to let me do the training rock wall. Review for the Gym 2 Crag session!

Camden and Isaac were awesome and patient teachers in the gym, and Ali was SO RAD ON THE CRAG!! We had an amazing time and learned so much. I feel much more confident in what to expect with climbing outdoors. Our all female group was complete with a spunky and sassy female instructor with 10/10 vibes. Ali has so much knowledge, compassion, and joy; she is an inspiring woman and climber! My only recommendation would be to have another instructor on the outdoor portion (instead of indoor) so we could get more practice in real situations. For first timers, the indoor lessons made a lot more sense in practical use outside. I am thrilled with the knowledge and experience I gained from Gym to Crag, and can't wait to prepare for my own climbs!

This is a very nice gym. Clean and had a great layout. The guys up from were pretty cool and fun to talk to. The main wall is very tall and impressive. There weren't a ton of climbs on the main wall but the height makes up for it. They had a nice short wall there to. ***The only down side was there were only 2 auto belays with 5.8 to 5.11 climbs on the short wall and none on the main wall when i was there

Still well worth going, especially if you have a belay partner.

4 years later… still one of the best gyms in America. It’s not one of the major big ones but plenty big and the walls are tall. The best thing is they do routes right. Agood amount of beginner routes and a nice balance for people to progress through. The difficulty ratings are solid and the route setting is smart and incorporates appropriate techniques. Auto-belays back off the big wall but locals were super friendly and was able to hop on some rope with some awesome dudes. If this is close to your house, you are spoiled!

I thought the experience was great one overall. The staff were quick and knowledgeable with their training. I did think it should be emphasized that it’s imperative you’re 15 minutes early to your booking for that training, as the email didn’t directly state that. I went with a team from my office to Vertical View to experience the ropes course. Tyson Gray was our guide, and he was incredibly helpful throughout our time there. The course itself was a lot of fun, and included a diverse array of obstacles, giving each participant plenty of options and the ability to choose more or less difficult routes. With Tyson leading us, we felt very safe and were well prepared for everything the course had to offer. I would highly recommend Vertical View and the ropes course in particular to any group looking for a "team bonding" activity!

I have been wanting to climb here for years but due to injuries and surgeries everytime I’m up here I was unable until last week. My experience was awesome! This place is a must do for me on every trip here. The staff and other climbers were so very friendly. It had been a while since I belayed anyone so I took the belay class to brush up and my daughter took it to learn to belay. It was a great way to learn or freshen up if you’ve been out for a long time. The four story climbing walls were great. I loved the longer climb. I think on our next trip we’re also going to do the ropes course. 🥰

Me and my boyfriend went climbing on the rope course here and loved it! He is scared of heights and all the staff were very helpful talking him through some of the things. We eventually had one guy, his name was Noah, he kinda followed my boyfriend for a period of time guiding him through some of the things also talking it up with him to help ease his focus. Highly recommend, I personally had an amazing time despite my hands hurting a little after cause of all the ropes but super friendly staff, big course, zip-line alternatives if you don’t feel comfortable doing certain obstacles, and 4/5 levels to explore.

I only have one real critique of their new ropes course feature. It was requested attendees to show up 30 minutes early to their reservation for a safety orientation, but began reservations at 12PM, right at their opening time. This made it so many of us showed up at 11:30AM to locked doors, having to wait around, the orientation cutting into your actual time on the course.
I hope that they will adjust this as they work out the kinks of this new addition.

I will say, even running behind 20/25 minutes had little to no impact on the enjoyability of the course. Was properly fatigued by 1:45 before our 2PM cut off time.

My kids love it!! My 7 year old and I have been coming here to climb for a year and we have come to know the staff and owners fairly well. My daughter was 6 when she started climbing here. She started out on the auto belay kid walls and couldn't get enough. Within a month, the staff taught me how to belay so that my daughter could climb higher, more difficult routes. 1 year and over 500 climbs later, she still loves it! The staff and owners have been so kind and willing to teach us more about climbing and techniques of how to be a better climber. Very family friendly gym and the other climbers love to chat and encourage. We have been to other gyms and most are not as welcoming as the Vertical View family.

My 5 year old daughter had been begging us to take her rock climbing since climbing the smaller walls at a local jump place. We took her to vertical view about 2 weeks ago, and she has not stopped talking about it since. My husband and I didn't know what to expect taking our 5 year old and 3 year old with us but decided to make a family day out of it, and im just so glad that we did! We were so pleased with the knowledge and help of those at the front desk, the variety of climbs for all levels of experience, and just the overall gym in itself. This gym is amazing. The facility is beautiful and has all the amenities and the staff are keeping it super clean. My family and I visited for the first time last week. My wife and I manage a climbing gym in Washington, so its always fun to see what other gyms are up to.
Sawyer is a total pro. He got us checked in and gave us a full tour of the facility. Very organized, very personable - I was super impressed with his demeanor and professionalism.
This place has something for everyone - my young kids loved the kids area and the bouldering. My wife and I really enjoyed the lead climbing. The routesetting is top notch!
I don't visit Boise all that often, but I know where I'm headed next time I pass through town.

The belay class was super 😎, all the instructions were clear and easy to understand and follow, also super fun. There was time to practice every step a few times, and I felt supported and motivated in each step. The instructor was very supportive and made sure I felt secure in each step before we moved on to the next.

What an amazing experience for the middle school students I teach. Because of the program I run, each semester, I have the opportunity to take my students to tour different colleges in the area. With these tours, I also try to incorporate some kind of activity that stretches my students and lets them experience something they may not have done before. This is exactly what happened when I took my group to Vertical View. Many of them had never rock climbed before, but the staff were patient and extremely helpful throughout our time. My students were able to step out of their comfort zones and try something they may not have thought they could do. I will definitely be taking my groups next year to Vertical View, and I'll just say this: if you're in charge of a school or youth group and you're looking for a unique and engaging activity for them to do, this is absolutely it!!

I love Vertical View! The fitness classes are great, the instructors are all so nice. The gym is clean. I don’t climb often, but when I do, it’s always fun and there’s good beginner routes. My daughter has done a couple kids camps and always has a blast.

Vertical View is a great gym with friendly staff. I primarily come for the 65ft climbing walls, but have also taken yoga here. The work out room has nice equipment as well. They even have a party room with climbing walls that you can rent. Their $40 a month midday pass is an excellent value.

What makes this place so great is the employees. I climbed here on the 2 week trial membership ($40 unlimited everything!), and by the time it was up I felt like one of the homies. Also, Jenny runs the best yoga class. She is so personable and engaged with everybody, and the class can be quite challenging. Never seen an indoor wall so tall. They also have great pricing options to meet different needs.

My sis and I had such a great morning at Vertical view climbing gym! We were both new to climbing and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We took the belay class with Devin and he was patient, well informed and kind, really knew his stuff. Gym is really cool, they have a yoga class, a gym with free weights, machines and cardio equipment. I would love to go back and give the place another go. Highly recommend 👌. Word of advice to save you time and the staff a headache, fill out your waivers online before you go in, it makes check in a breeze and the staff seems a little relieved that you did. You also can view a 4 min video on their website on what to expect when you go in.

Vertical has hosted our group of 300 twice. The kids have loved it. They were super helpful to ensure safety fun between climbing, spikeball, 9 square, bouldering, pool table, and dancing. The whole staff was great to work with. We love coming here.

Amazing rock climbing gym! Feels very light and open inside. Magagement and staff are fantastic! They really care about everyone who comes here. Excellent bouldering, top roping, and lead climbs, with super tall routes. Great atmosphere!

Vertical view is a a fantastic climbing gym. It has the tallest climbing walls in the area, and the setting is always creative. I primarily boulder and really enjoy the challenge that each new set gives. The setting tends to be on the dirficult side, bit I really enjoy the challenge and creativity on display on the wall. One of the few climbing gyms that I've seen that sets over v9, the highest I've seen consistently is v13! The staff is friendly, and the community that climbs here is very welcoming. Overall my favorite climbing gym in the Valley!

This is one of the nicest climbing gyms I've been to. It has everything you need from bouldering to lead climbing to fitness classes and weight training. The staff is very friendly too! And the culture is welcoming no matter what your experience is. I know a lot of other climbing gyms feel kind of exclusive, especially on your first time going. But this one has plenty of people willing to mentor you and help you get better.

Mark was amazing today at a birthday party event. My youngest has gone climbing a few times, things had never fully clicked. At the party he was overwhelmed. Mark made eye contact, spoke directly to him and was the first one to get him to climb today. In addition, my son had never made it all the way to the top during one of his climbs in the past. Mark encouraged him to the top. Beyond that, he gave great instruction and encouragement. Because of Mark, my son felt confident enough to climb other sections with other members of the team. All of the V V team was really great; but Mark made our day. Can’t wait to go back on our own to continue climbing.

I mentioned an idea to put a Wideboyz style hold on one of the auto-belays, and the next time I came, JRC had thrown one up! And on a killer route as well. Even the little .8 next to it is pretty rad. I'm climbing harder than I ever have. Big thanks JRC and VV, love this place!
