Great staff and cool amenities! I love to swim in their amazing pool, enjoy the hot tub, sauna, and steam room to unwind from a long work week!

They've done a lot better job with having the good sporting events on the TVs I appreciate that! I can work out and watch my games! They need a lot more 10 lb weights on the racks! They need to go out there with racks a little better so you don't have to run around looking for weighs!

Recently joined after having been a member from 2018 to 2020. The machines are exactly the same but very worn. Most have one or more issues, squeaking, not properly working, and obviously not maintained. I mentioned this to a member at the front desk and he is just in a customer service role. I would have thought that Villa might invest and modernize but no. These folks will milk this as long as they can due to the population boom. I wil be terming this contract. Major disappointment.

You get what you pay for ($40 a month "VIP") equipment is just like Boise (old, outdated, behind the times, broken down) I don't think they have updated equipment since their Golds gym days. Facility is pretty dirty. Cake of dust / dirt everywhere under the treadmills. Cardio equipment is broken down. Gym needs a major remodel. It has been successful because it is the only commercial gym in area. Deadlift platforms are in a old racket ball court. The only clean area is SGT which is a paid platform. SGT is circuit style going through the motions type of vibe. Your not gonna get a nice facility for $40 a month. Waiting on Lifetime Athletic to take over the area. Could have potential if they had a complete remodel. Turf area isn't really turf but carpeted greens. Locker rooms / sauna have become better since remodel it use to be disgusting. Would benefit from a corporate staff that does more than just change Axiom to Villa Sport and do nothing else. Boise has got to seriously change if it wants to be competitive in the fitness industry. Everything feels like early 2000

Every location has gone downhill since these new owners out of Cali took over. Gyms are filthy, constantly being asked/told to download this app from employees. Can’t take my kid into the kids club unless I download the app. Zero hospitality and terrible leadership which starts from the top/owners and trickles its way down.

Villa Sport (Parkcenter) is a solid gym, recommended. One star off due to equipment issues (see below & photos). When these are fixed, I'll consider bumping it up.
Briefly, several of the LF and HS weight machines on the lower level have minor loose parts, need lube/plates drop, or have illegible weight markings. This issue is an odd standout in an otherwise superior fitness center.
Aside from that, overall excellent gym compared to many. I really enjoy coming here to work out and improve my health.
Villa Sport (Parkcenter)'s staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Lots of machines and free weights, and a crazy good number of cardio machines. Clean locker rooms with showers. Smoothie bar with delicious high protein, low calorie drinks. Parking can be tight during busy hours, but there's an unpaved overflow lot nearby.
There's a Palm Beach wellness center connected in the same building which I'm also a member of. I'll usually hit one followed by the other.
Extra key amenities at this Villa Sport location including a steam room and sauna in the locker rooms, a 25-yard indoor saltwater swimming pool with five or six lanes, and a large jacuzzi hot tub by the pool. If you're a gym VIP member (a few more dollars a month), you also get access to the three hydrotherapy chairs.
This Villa Sport holds various classes, including spinning, I believe, with three or four dedicated exercise rooms/studios. There's also a separate, weightlifting and cardio room for women who prefer a women-only setting for their workouts.
One of my favorite features is the open exercise areas. There are three large astroturfed sections where you can do CrossFit type training like rope climbing, pull ups, body weight exercises, ab work, kettle bell weights, rowing machines, push/pull a weighted sled, and even tire flipping.
Before signing a membership contract, make sure to read the cancellation rules carefully, if you think there's a chance you might not stick around. I noticed on a few other reviews people may have gotten caught off guard by the fine print. Nothing tricky going on here, just perform your due diligence as in all things. Caveat emptor.

They have charged my card without my consent for annual membership . I even canceled my membership and now a guy name Brett refuses to address my concerns. Do not give your card details to them ever. I had a very disappointing experience with this gym. They charged my card without my knowledge or authorization, and when I contacted them to address it, they refused to issue a refund. I was not given any prior notice or consent for this charge. This is not how a professional business should treat its members. I would advise anyone considering this gym to be cautious and make sure you have everything in writing before sharing your payment details. Do not share your card details for recurring charges. These people are Frauds.

The gym itself is fine. Layout is fine. It seems they’re putting new equipment in slowly but surely, which is a very necessary plus. I like the spectrum of offerings from selection of machines to free weights to the pool. All of this being provided with access to the other locations is really nice at the price that I pay per month.
The staff are certainly hit or miss. Some are really nice and cool, while others SEEM incredibly stuck up and/or would rather be sleeping in a ditch during an active thunderstorm. Warmness and general friendliness would do wonders for the environment at this gym. Can’t speak for the other locations. I understand the pool of candidates for employment can be extremely limited, so I don’t hold that against Villa Sport per se.
You got this far in my Ted talk and are wondering: why only two stars? Answer: it is exceedingly busy constantly at all hours of business. So busy that I have to abandon my routine less than half way through or wait excessively because it’s shoulder to shoulder traffic. Constantly waiting for equipment to free up. “Working in” only works half of the time because so many people are showing up with their friends/spouses and “working in” with them. Sometimes there will be a group just huddled on one or even two machines for 30 minutes at a time.
It’s really disappointing because I’ve only been here for a year and I don’t remember it being this bad back then. Other locations will either be no different or very much so out of my way. I’ve already been going out of my way for this gym but anymore it’s not worth the 15 minute drive and I don’t even need to pull into the parking lot to know it wasn’t worth it. I’ll be exploring other options.

One of the most impressive gyms I’ve worked out in during more than 40 years of fitness & workout facility experiences. Being signed up by fitness expert and gym ambassador “Ashley” at Park Center was ideal, as she was knowledgeable and made membership easy & welcoming!
🎬👍
Having been an amateur competitive bodybuilder in the 1980s -1990s and been an original member of Joe Gold’s “World Gym” on Main St. in Santa Monica (the best gym in the world 😉), being able to continue lifetime training into the 2020s & find this high-quality level of gym in Idaho is terrific:
Free weights in an extensive variety 🏋️♀️ , top-caliber machines & cable multi-stations for hitting every angle, as well as an entire second-floor of cardio, separate building section with an Olympic-size lap pool 🏊♀️ and adjacent steam, sauna and immaculate locker & changing rooms, this is a true “gem” in the Treasure Valley of the ‘Gem State’.
Thanks to the staff at all the Boise region Villa Sport gym locations, and particularly club manager Tyler Eisenbeiss at the Fairview & Cole location, too! 💪
Villa Sport clubs are proof that fitness from heavy-training to longevity and well-being workouts into life-long conditioning continue to be rewarding.
Thank You(s) to the V.S. Teams here!

This gym often opens late, has high staff turnover, and poor communication. This causes frequent no-shows on both weekdays and weekends. The equipment is not great, and repairs take a long time. I’m a 84 female who has been a member since about 2019. My interactions with the staff has always been positive. Not today. I was stopped at the front desk to bring up to date legal documents. I was given a computer signature pad to sign Waivers. I asked to see the documents to learn what exactly I was signing . Allison, the desk attendant, became irate at my request. she stormed off, I assumed to get the legal documents, returned and was rude. She tossed the waiver to me and insisted that I have signed previous waivers every year. I don’t think so, but even if that’s so …that’s no reason to be condescending and extremely rude.
I read the waiver clauses and signed the documents. For the first time, my interactions at the gym, left me feeling disgusted and disappointed.
No explanations.

I've gone here for over four years now. I like the size and layout of the gym. They keep it very clean and have many sanitation stations. The equipment is very nice and always updated. The staff are friendly. They just changed ownership and unfortunately raised the prices for the new year of 2025. It is usually very crowded here no matter the time you go. No contracts are required! Other than being so crowded, I give 4 stars.

I had high hopes because the outside of the building looks cool and big. I got a guest pass today. Easy process, $15 which is normal. I walk in and notice it’s PACKED. It looked like every machine was taken. It was also an open floor plan with machines crowding the floor in a jumbled mess, who puts smith machines in the middle of a floor? Lol. Only 3 squat racks which were all taken. The pull up assist is a joke. The worst part was when I looked at the machines, they were so filthy. Dirt and dust and hair and god knows what else. The planet fitness in my hometown was cleaner and nicer than this gym. The weights at this gym also feel lighter than the weights at my home gym. Who knows… I was able to lift way heavier than normal. I didn’t see many wipe or water stations either. I won’t be going back next time I’m in town.

Besides being very busy most of the time, I love going to this gym, equipment it’s always clean (at least at the only women room the rest I can’t tell since I don’t use the equipment downstairs very often) the staff is super nice and very friendly! The 2 gentlemen that usually is there the closing shifts are the best!
I lost my phone in a stair master machine and sadly it was kinda late for them to get the maintenance guy but they made sure first thing in the morning maintenance open it apart to get it back!!! 🥳the lady in the front called me right away at like 6am!!! Talking about fast here!!
Someone (hopefully by mistake) took my water bottle and the 2 gentleman been very nice giving me updates if they find it every day the see me walking in (I know I’m not gonna get it back hahaha but it’s nice that they remember to check every time!) no complaints, just keep an eye on your water bottle hahaha (I’ll update this review with the staff names they deserve a big fat raise!!)

This place is always so packed with people.. what really gets me is that it is so difficult to workout here.. you sit here waiting for people that are sitting on a machine and they are just sitting there texting or looking at social media not working out. The last time I was there the ENTIRE row of machines had someone sitting in them and every single person was just sitting there on the phone... This is something management needs to address with signs or something not to be on the phone.. horrible gym etiquette most people have here.

I was walking in with my friend when a middle aged White man wearing a white Axiom shirt stopped us, and aggressively ask us if I signed in as a VIP. Before we even had the chance to respond, he continued to approach us in an intimidating and rude manner. I was so thrown off by his behavior, I was frozen. After berating us in public, I spelled out my name for him to enter in his computer. Lesson learned, I will sign in immediately when I go with my friend in the future. Two things here: 1. Before you act so harshly towards a younger, more vulnerable woman, think to yourself, would you be talking to her like this if her husband, a strong man was by her side instead? Tonight I was definitely reminded that I’m a woman. What is Axiom trying to accomplish by allowing a man to treat women like that? I was most definitely not a VIP this evening! 2. I highly recommend Axiom focus your training initiatives on management. The other younger employees in your gym seem to be engaging with more proficient people skills. Unfortunately your response excuses the behavior. Not surprised. I already let you know in the review that I understand your sign in policy. No further reply needed.

Here's a rundown of all the places you can find yourself waiting at this gym:
- Outside the steam room or sauna door due to closure.
- Driving around the parking lot looking for a single parking spot in the late afternoon/early evening
- Around a squat rack on account of there being a total of four
- In the restroom on account of there being a total of three urinals & stalls (not sure what the ladies have)
- By the front desk to ask someone, anyone, if they plan on doing anything about people slamming weights or yelling mid-set
- Best of all, standing outside the gym itself because no one shows up to open, which has actually happened twice in recent weeks
That's JUST the waiting game, never mind the lack of cleanliness, or the extreme chasm that exists among their staff. Some are delightfully helpful, while others have the work ethic of a sloth and the attitude of a piranha.
It may cost more, but I'd recommend pursuing a gym that puts more thought into a better member *experience*, not just a machine or treadmill *workout*

Alright, fitness fam, let's dive into the world of Axiom, the gym that's got more muscle-building toys than a bodybuilder's Christmas wish list. This place is the Disneyland for gym rats, where every day is leg day, and fairy tales are made of gains and protein shakes.
First up, the weights. Oh, the weights! There are so many dumbbells here, you'd think they were trying to arm a small country. And the machines? They've got more options than a buffet at a bodybuilding contest. If you can't get swole here, you're probably a noodle.
But wait, there's more! A swimming pool to make Michael Phelps envious and a hot tub to simmer your sore muscles like a stew. Feeling like a hamster on a wheel? They've got cardio machines as far as the eye can see. Want to pretend you're in a 1980s music video? Hit the racquetball courts.
Ladies, tired of the grunting and the flexing? There's a woman’s only area, a serene sanctuary from the testosterone tsunami. And for those who like to move and groove, the fitness rooms are where it's at – Zumba, yoga, you name it, they've got it.
Axiom isn't just a gym; it's a lifestyle, a community, a place where sweat dreams come true. So, lace up those sneakers, and let's get physical!

I started going to this gym in 2015. I toured all the gyms in Boise and chose Axium Parkcenter. I left in 2021 and recently signed up again. I think it's the best gym in Boise. I love all the cardio equipment upstairs and the weights and machines downstairs. The locker room is nice. I love the sauna and the pool. It's a big gym with lots of things. I also like the smoothie bar and the water power massage chairs. It's a positive vibe with so many people working out I like it. I also like the staff.

I’ve been going to the Axiom on Parkcenter for years now, mainly out of convenience. It is certainly busy in the evening, but that is generally the case at most large gyms. My biggest complaint is the lack of cleanliness. In the 3 years I’ve been going to this gym, I don’t think the equipment has ever been cleaned (outside of people wiping it down after personal use). Even during the floor upgrades, no one thought to give the machines a wipe down. I took these photos today. There is little that can be done by management surround “busy hours”, however, the standard of hygiene is well within control and should be a priority.

This gym is fantastic on all accounts except their dry sauna in the men’s locker room. I’m speaking of their Park Center facility. So so so bad. Holes in the wood from sweat soaked wood that hasn’t been attended to for years. So bad. Crazy small, only sits 3 tightly. Door handle is gone. Difficult to keep warm enough. I have requested repeatedly to try to do something about and and 3 years of the management being content to have this be somehow “acceptable.” Im posting this in hope of motivating some sort of attention to this blemish on an otherwise high quality gym.

Gym is gross and often dirty. A lot of the equipment is broken and has been for months. It's frustrating to keep telling the front desk about the broken equipment and not seeing it get fixed.
It would be great if they got more squat racks. It's always a fight to find one that is open. But yet the cardio area with 50+ machines is always open. I wish they configured the gym based on actual usage and real demand.
I've asked about this problem for at least a year and a half. Always the same response though. "We are expanding soon..." However, I've yet to see any improvement.

Equipment is good, selection is pretty good. Weights area often quite crowded, especially at peak times. Can be really rough to get a workout plan done around peak times (7-9am or 5-7pm). The membership price is not worth what you get. I have been a member here for 2 years and the owner has never upgraded any of the freeweight equipment. Get more than 3 squat racks, where is the membership cost going?

They oversold. It’s packed and half the people there just wait till the front desk in unoccupied and come in. I was a member years ago and loved it but it’s far too busy

Antithesis of the Downtown Y! Serious place for serious people, not a place for idle chit chat! Good equipment selection with aerobics and floor exercise area upstairs. Crowded during late afternoon peak periods but not so much as their Fairview location. Most modern and comfortable is at "The Village" in Merdian. The pool is a major plus and surprisingly uncrowded! The hot tub is ridiculously small. Lots of parking for those who can't seem to bike to the gym, which constitutes the vast majority of members. The price is reasonable and includes free guest privileges. Staff friendly at all locations.

I love this gym! They have lots of equipment and allow people as young as 12 to work out. Another pro is that they have a women's only room with a variety of equipment. The only problem I have is that many times, the sanitation wipes are completely out. Other than that, amazing gym! I go almost every day, as does my brother and mom. We also can leave my little siblings in the daycare area when they can’t be left home. The staff are so kind and helpful, too. I love the axiom community so much! :)

Solid staff, but overcrowded, and not well maintained. Friday afternoon at 1pm and out of wipes, bathroom towels and carpet in women’s section doesn’t appear to have been vacuumed in weeks. It’s baffling because one can see many staff walking around in red shirts. Wish there were better options in Boise because I would be out.

Overcrowded: Not even during peak hours, it is a considerable challenge getting a workout accomplished in a reasonable amount of time.
Dirty: Honestly the resources are not half bad, but the incredible use and abuse they undergo—everything from the restrooms, the locker rooms to the workout equipment itself—due to far too many patrons can explain why the facility is often dirty, possibly unhygienic or altogether unusable.
Axiom, I like you. Genuinely, I do. But after reading with the fellow disgruntled clients’ reviews I see here, I must side with them.
Lack of commitment to customers: Deceptive billing tactics, delinquent cleaning regiments and overcrowded workout facilities are not the way of the future. You manage to thrive in a city like Boise because you benefit from little to no other large gym competition. Should you have found yourself in a different market, you’d have likely long since gone out of business.

I've been a member of this gym for over 20 years (Golds and then Axiom). The staff here are helpful and nice and the equipment is fine too. I would give all of that 4 stars but the classes are a problem. I have been taking classes at least 3x per week, unfortunately the classes are always being dropped or threatened to be dropped. We are told that a minimum of 10 people must come or the person in charge of the classes will cancel them. I feel like people that pay for membership should not have to worry about losing a class they are wanting to attend. Seems like a month ago we had a Thurs night spin and combat class. Not anymore. Point is, you never know when a good class will disappear. Don't get too attached.

BEWARE! One of their trainers at the Parkcenter location has been taking personal information from club members and using the information obtained for personal gain. This shouldn't be tolerated. Club members should not have to worry about their personal information (Address, phone number, email) being used for anything other than account or gym matters.

There are quite a few people that get to the gym by 430. Today the gym didn’t open until after 530. It’s happened at least 3 times this month. Not counting the months prior. Axiom being a bigger gym this even happing once there should be a plan in place.

The stair machines and treadmill are always in terrible condition (clunky noises, hesitation on the belts, machines not even having power) and covered in dust everytime I go.
I've been having to drive out to the Meridian location just to use a clean facility.
And don't believe these review replies when they say they are going to take your feedback into consideration 🙄 I saw one from last year saying they're going to do an update on equipment and floor plan for 2022...nothing has changed at all..

Sadly I can't say much because I went to try it and despite the fact that any respectable gym has a free trial pass this one has no free pass for trying it out...
The only way to test it it's a one day pass for $15 and since it's not opened 24 hrs you have limited time to come in and check it out.
So I've moved on to another gym that will offer a free trial pass.
@owners operators and admis, change your policy start offering free trial passes and I'll check it out, and if justified I'll change my stars rating after a fair assessment of your facilities and amenities.
I have something to compare with since I travel all over the US and I'm using gyms for years.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for over two years at this point and they keep coming up with reasons that I cannot. First they needed to delay payments and put my account on a hold that would restart charging me a couple months later in which I could cancel then. They wouldn’t let me cancel unless I came in and was sick with Covid so I felt unsafe bringing that to the gym and they proceeded to not care and not let me cancel. Whenever I do go in they state I have to pay a couple hundred to cancel my account and until I do I will be continuously charged. Horrible management for not being able to work with me on this or cancel my account in the first place. (I’d also like to state that while I’ve been trying to cancel and I’ve been charged multiple times and I haven’t been into the gym except for to try to cancel in 2 years)

The location is great. Too great…the place is consistently busy and it really hurts the workout opportunity. From my experience, most of the members use the weight area/squat racks and the treadmills/cardio get minimal use yet there are only 3 squat racks downstairs that are open to members. Upstairs you’ll find 4 squat racks with a catch…it’s for personal trainer sessions mostly. I’ve been able to use them from time to time but often get pushed out when sessions start (which I guess is fair?) but having more squat racks for the minority of your members than you have for the majority of your members is just confusing. The time I have used the cardio space I’ve found that the treadmill tracks are loose and wobbly and bikes have pedal straps missing.
In sum, if there was another reasonably priced gym that was in this area I definitely would switch. There are too few racks in their most used area, it’s always busy, and the fees to change your membership are pretty high. But it is a nice gym with those few exceptions. Please, please, please take notice of what your members are using and adjust accordingly.

All of the bad reviews are from people who just go for the sauna. pathetic haha. Its a great gym and if you go at the right time you can have all the equipment to yourself. Nice community and great staff, comfortable environment. If your just looking for a great gym completely disregard the bad reviews because they're all from people who aren't going to workout.

This is a tough one. I really only keep my membership for access to the dry sauna.
Nobody follows any basic manners or gym rules and no one enforces them either. So you get sweat covered machines and people on their cell phones in the locker room.
Axiom does have signs up to deter this poor and inconsiderate behavior from people, but just isn't enough to make it a comfortable environment.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Eager to help. This particular location is my favorite. The building is huge! Most of the equipment is facing the windows from the second story. Axiom is often too crowded, too little equipment, and long weight times for equipment. It is obvious the gym needs a few upgrades. Despite all the negatives, the staff are always professional and the facility is clean, and the personal training is great. Great place I just wish closing time was later on the weekends that's when I can go since I have long shifts on weekday. But other than that they have great machines, plenty fo treadmills, plethora of free weights and a locker easy to locate. I prefer to Axiom of the Village location it feels as if they didn't know where to put things but the parkcenter location is very organized.
