I saw Brianne for several months and learned so much about how to take care of my body postpartum and during a new pregnancy. Brianne went out of her way to research my conditions and to teach me stretches and exercises that would help with my chronic pain. She even referred me to a physical therapist and talked with her to make sure none of the exercises we were doing would exacerbate my pain. Brianne goes the extra mile for her clients! Some of the other personal trainers there also helped me with equipment during my first few weeks. The facility is very clean and trainers and clients are respectful and kind.

I cannot say enough good about Volition fitness and specifically Coach Marlon at Volition. I have been training with Marlon since 2021 and have loved every moment I have spent absorbing knowledge and continuing to improve myself as a powerlifter with him. The degree of knowledge, patience, flexibility, and person-ability he displays with athletes is fantastic. Marlon has also shown to be very adaptable as I have a genetic disorder that effects my skeletal muscles as well as my nervous system, a challenge to lifting and making progress that he continues to attack and work around all the time. Even after four years he still continues to figure out new ways to make me a better version of myself and to continue making strides as a powerlifter pushing past my genetic condition, something I cannot appreciate enough as a client, as well as a characteristic that speaks volumes as a coach/trainer. Volition gym is also a fantastic gym with a great atmosphere and well kept space, that is welcoming to all types of lifters at all different levels from beginner to advanced. Volition is definitely a space to go if are just starting out as a lifter or if you want to upgrade your routine as a seasoned lifter

I've been working out with April at Volition Fitness for 6 months now and it is one of the best investments I've ever made. I actually enjoy getting my workouts done each week and I'm having fun seeing my strength improve week over week. Having April there to coach me along makes all the difference. I really appreciate her focus on building strength in the areas I need it most and it has definitely led to a reduction in my daily aches and pains. April has helped me build the confidence to push myself through her encouragement and reassurance that it is okay for it to be hard :) I visited several gyms prior to visiting Volition, April and the private atmosphere at Volition were by far the most impressive and welcoming. I really appreciate the focus on improving everyday life through weightlifting. The gym is kept so clean and I love that it is never crowded. I’m in my 40s and had never done any kind of weight training before starting with Coach Carson at Volition Fitness. My sister and I began training with him about four months ago, and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our health and confidence.

I was always so terrified of entering a gym and not knowing what to do. My sister encouraged me to find a personal trainer and found Volition! Coach Marlon became my trainer and I could not have asked for someone better. He listened to all of my fears, my health issues and made a plan. I started with him at the end of Feb 2025 and 5 months later I’m down 22lbs! Not only that I’m crazy stronger than I thought I’d ever be. Coach Marlon makes the work outs so fun and the conversation always leads to laughing because he’s so funny. But he’s also CRAZY knowledgeable and over qualified to be teaching newbies. But I’m so glad he is because he’s an excellent teacher! I have fallen in love with weight lifting and I can’t wait to keep going!

I am old, I am out of shape, I always come last in my day, and I’m self-conscious. But I can also read and understand that as I age, I need to take care of myself, and strength-training is crucial. So, I went on the hunt for a gym and a trainer and Volition Fitness and Rachel’s personal health story resonated with me. I am so glad I got over my own hang-ups and started going to Volition to improve my health. The gym is unpretentious and laser-focused on each individual’s journey. Don’t look for Instagram backdrops and filters here, this space is about being comfortable in your own skin and getting fit. Rachel understood where I was coming from and while I thought I would never recover from just setting my baseline (I told you I hate lunges!), it has been a blast to see what I am capable of. Rachel is an excellent coach who pushes and encourages me. She is very thoughtful of my capabilities and my weaknesses (stupid lunges) and curates a plan that increases my strength while being mindful of my health. Do yourself a favor and go see Rachel at Volition, you won’t regret it and your health is worth it!

I am so grateful to have come across Volition Fitness. I began working out with Volition Fitness when Chris first launched his company. It was a fantastic experience, and I stuck with it for quite some time, until life with three kids and a full-time job got in the way. Fast forward to last year when my daughter decided she wanted to join the military. She didn’t have much of an athletic background and struggled to establish a workout routine to prepare her for basic training. When I asked if she’d like a personal trainer, she eagerly agreed. I knew, without hesitation, that it had to be with Volition Fitness! I was confident that any trainer at Volition would be top-notch, as Chris and Brianne would only hire the best to represent their company—and I was right.
My daughter and I decided to train together, and we were paired with Grady. It’s been an incredible experience. What’s been especially rewarding is watching my daughter develop a love for weightlifting, something I also discovered at Volition Fitness. She’s now pushing herself to complete more reps and finish those challenging sets, all through her own volition (a fitting name for the gym!). She’s excited to see her strength increase and to be able to add more weight to her sets. And when stress arises, she now turns to exercise as a way to relieve it and she seeks out ways to be more active. Her growth, not only in her fitness but in her mindset, is going to be a huge benefit to her when she joins the military! I really think Grady has been able to help instill a love of fitness that is going to be long lasting in my daughter’s life, and I am so thankful! On top of that, I have reigniting my own desire to work out regularly again!

I have been working with Rachel for almost 3 months now. In that short time I have steadily gained strength, gained knowledge in lifting safely and increased confidence in navigating the equipment and gym setting. Before working with a coach, I had done a lot of group classes and worked out independently. However, working 1:1 with someone who is super knowledgeable and encouraging has been a game changer in my consistency and motivation. Rachel is a badass powerlifter and kind human so she makes twice weekly workouts, dare I say, enjoyable! I love the flexibility that Volition gives to work with a trainer but also to workout independently. Rachel's programming for these independent days is clear and makes it easy stick to my goals. This has helped me to get comfortable training on my own. The gym is always clean, people are welcoming, there is plenty of equipment and it makes it easy to get an early workout done effectively and efficiently. I highly recommend Rachel and Volition Fitness!

Chris isn't into the fitness business, he's into the business of helping people reach their goals and dreams. Before working with Chris I had only dreamed of being where I am now. I've been working with Roman at Volition Fitness for three months now, doing 2:1 personal training sessions with a friend. I can't say enough good things about this experience! Roman is incredibly thorough and attentive, always checking in to make sure we’re lifting safely and with proper form. He's not only a fantastic coach but also a pleasure to talk to, which makes every session enjoyable.
I was pretty intimidated by weightlifting initially, but Roman and this program have given me so much confidence. He tailors each workout to fit both my friend and me individually, even giving us customized "home" workouts to complement our training. Roman has also been super helpful with nutrition guidance, setting realistic expectations and supporting us every step of the way.
The gym itself is excellent – the staff is friendly, the amenities have everything you'd want, and it’s always spotless. It’s also never too crowded, as they’re very intentional about limiting the number of people in the space, making it easy to sign up for open gym slots when needed.
Volition Fitness is absolutely worth the investment, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality training. Roman is an amazing coach, and I feel lucky to work with him!

For my first ever personal training experience, working with Roman at Volition has been rewarding and quickly met expectations.
I signed up looking for general strength and fitness workouts. I was expecting workouts that were challenging and varied from week to week, and that's exactly what I've received. Roman has shown to be adaptable by making adjustments on the fly to ensure a high quality, challenging experience, while also answering any questions that I have. To put it simply, he makes sure that I get the most out of the exercises.
The facility is clean and very comfortable as only clients and trainers are allowed in. It is usually quite empty, so I've been able to make the most of my workouts with Roman by transitioning quickly to different exercises without having to wait for anyone else to stop using something. This allows me to make the most out of my time.

Worked with Ramon for help with my squat. Was dealing with some unique pain for a few years and had five total sessions to work it out. Ramon was great, not only were we able to identify the problem, but he taught me a lot. Volition Fitness is the gold standard for the fitness industry. You will achieve your goals at this gym. The owners are real genuine people. My 13yr old son has been working with Roman for nine weeks now and so far he has been loving it there. I love Volition fitness! Mainly due to my trainer Roman! I’m a former College and National team athlete and fell away from weight training about a decade ago. I missed the feeling of training, having someone hold me accountable, the laughing between sets, and pushing me to achieve my goals. Roman does just that!
I was worried at first that I would be put on a program that would be designed heavy weight lifters, but Roman listened to my goals and created a program that makes me feel fit like an athlete again.

I’ve been to many powerlifting gyms and this one is meticulously kept. There is an amazing selection of equipment that can be utilized by brand new lifters all the way to seasoned veterans who have been in a gym for a long time. I have been going to Brianne twice a week for almost seven years and it's one of the best things I do for my mental and physical health. This is a top notch facility. It is clean and has a great variety and high quality equipment. More importantly the trainers are very knowledgeable. I started going to get back my strength after being discharged from physical therapy. I can't just go to just any gym or trainer, I need specialized knowledge to bridge the gap from PT to my normal level of activity. After my first 6 week I have put on 4 lbs. of muscle! I first went to Chris to help prepare for a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. The benefits to my health and general quality of life were so great that I decided to continue working out with him after the trip. That was 5 years ago. Volition Fitness gets my highest recommendation! They are some of the best people you'll ever meet in the fitness industry. You can tell that they love to help people. I've seen coaches Chris and Brianne coach at multiple powerlifting meets and they really know their stuff when it comes to competing in powerlifting or bodybuilding. They go above and beyond to support their athletes.
It feels good to get in shape and work with good people. These are good people. They put on free clinics for the community and help raise money for charities. They coach other coaches. They give out tons of free advice and answer questions on their instagram. When they see a lifter at a meet that has no coach, they give them a hand. You can tell that they love to help people and that's why their damn good at it!

I worked with Haley over 12 sessions. My goals were the following:
1. Get stronger using Squat, Bench, and Deadlift as performance metrics
2. Learn any technique changes, queues, or excerises to help me with goal #1
3. Compete in a powerlifting meet.
We succeeded in achieving all three of these goals. Volition Fitness is a great place to get personal training whether you've never worked out before or more experienced.
Below I will go over the three goals in more detail.
Goal 1 Overview
My maximum 1 repetition deadlift was 405 lbs at the beginning. My maximum 1 repetition was 440 at the powerlifting meet, and it is clear from the video footage that I had another 10 pounds in the tank.
My maximum 1 repetition bench press was 210 lbs at the beginning. My maximum 1 repetition was 225 lbs at the powerlifting meet.
My maximum 1 repetition squat was 295 lbs at the beginning. My maximum 1 repetition was 290 lbs (I think) at the powerlifting meet. I missed my first attempt due to a technique failure, and thus was not able to make a third jump in the meet.
Goal 2 Overview
Haley has an academic background in sports exercise science and applies her knowledge effectively. She knows queues for beginners, but also will observe and give suggestions for small changes in form. The team at Volition fitness has an excellent repertoire of exercises that I have never found in any youtube video or article. In that respect my time with Volition was extremely valuable.
Goal 3 Overview
The Volition Fitness team provided excellent support during my powerlifting meet. They helped me with my warm-up sets and cheered me on. It was a ton of fun, and a great example of the positive fitness culture that the sport of powerlifting tends to cultivate.
