It's a magical place with great classes and I don't care about the lack of showers. So much love in that space.

I took advantage of the trial and tried out all the locations. The sculpt style classes were a joke (felt like busy work), the flow classes were either generic or downright bizzare (like the guy who I won't name with 'guru' vibes at the Andersonville location who makes you do tounge and face excerizes for extended periods of time) and the set sequence crowd didn't impress me. I did enjoy a free kung fu style workshop they held though. Those types of fusion collabs actually excite me.

Yoga was fine. But service was poor. Made it very difficult to cancel our membership.
We signed up for this yoga studio as a trial while our other studio was out of commission. Classes were fine but when we decided to end our membership they were slow in getting back to us. This resulted in us in charging us for TWO extra months being charged. Be prepared for that when signing up. I’d really like for places to just rely on their excellence to attract members, not scam people.

I love 105F! I love the 26-2 posture yoga. I used to have really bad knee issues and now i can do postures comfortably involving sitting. They have such good Pilates instructors. Shout out to Colleen who gave me one of the best workout of my life. More than anything though, doing this yoga has given me such mental clarity. 10/10

I have been coming to 105F for about 7 years and I absolutely love it. I first started out doing the 26+2 class several times a week and I saw a HUGE difference in my overall mental and physical health. I now do the inferno hot Pilates classes a couple times a week and throw in a yoga class here and there and I can’t say enough good things. I have abs now and it’s definitely from these classes. The classes are high energy, have great instructors and music. Be warned, you will sweat ALL of your demons out and feel spectacular after. Also, I like that I don’t necessarily have to book in advance - it’s very low stress/laid back so I can just go whenever I truly feel like it. The classes do get busy but I’ve never had a problem finding room. The Wicker Park space is beautiful and sunny. I will always go here and highly recommend!

I absolutely love the Pilates classes at 105F! The energy is always amazing, and the community is one of the best parts — so supportive, positive, and fun. I’ve gained not just physical strength, but also a lot of confidence since starting. The instructors are all incredibly welcoming and encouraging, which makes every class feel like a safe space to challenge myself and grow. I’m always trying to bring friends with me so they can experience the good vibes too. This place, and the people, have become such an integral part of my self care practice. I would definitely recommend taking classes here and even exploring their other locations. Each studio has their own special touch to your workout experience

I had a very disappointing experience at this studio. From the moment I arrived, the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. The instructions were unclear, making it difficult to navigate as a first-time visitor. I attended the class through ClassPass, and despite my phone being on silent (not even on vibrate) and me standing in the corner out of the way, the instructor singled me out, insisting I was interrupting. The real disruption was the instructor stopping the entire class just to call me out, even after I had informed them that I was dealing with a family emergency.
Additionally, the studio had an unpleasant odor, as if it wasn’t properly cleaned, which made the environment uncomfortable. What made the experience even worse was that, after just this one interaction on my very first visit, I was banned—along with my friend—without any opportunity to explain or resolve the issue. Instead of addressing the situation with professionalism or respect, the instructor seemed irritated from the start, possibly because I arrived just a minute before class began.
Beyond all of this, it was clear that this space is not welcoming to people of color. The way I was treated felt discriminatory, and it was unlike any experience I’ve had at other fitness studios. Instead of fostering an inclusive and respectful environment, they chose to exclude and mistreat paying customers.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at a fitness studio, and I would absolutely never return. The lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and inclusivity made it clear that this is not a welcoming space.

Wish they offered weighted Pilates class at this location and cleaned up some more in between classes.
Changed my review to 5 ⭐️ because they added more weighted Pilates classes

There are several reviews complaining about how instructors talk the students through the class instead of doing poses along with them. This is fine but it should be listed in the class description so students know what they're signing up for. Also, I don't expect to spend half a class doing breathwork unless it's a Yin class. Please advertise these classes correctly.

Our instructor was David. The class was a good workout but we had some issues with our instructor. Me and my friend who took this class and are both younger and have not worked out in a while. We explained this to David and he gave us minimal instruction on where to set our stuff down. He then proceeded to get visibly irritated multiple times during the class and after. He muttered under his breath, rolled his eyes, and made hand gestures, as well as asking where she was going. This was because we had to use the rest room and my friend had to get her gatorade. We did not know we had to wait at the door during movement in order not to “disrespect the class”. I have taken many yoga classes and this has never happened before. If this was the expectation I would have appreciated being told before the class or at least not told with attitude in a that could have stopped us from getting water in -105 degree heat as beginners. The vibe was off! He did not do any of the movement with us as well which seemed off. He pulled my friend to the side after the class to scold her about our tardiness and how she needed to leave to get something to drink. She clarified that she needed her gatorade which he then backtracked saying of course she needed to stay hydrated - but not to disrespect the class. This rule needed to be mentioned before class (in a kind way) for SAFETY. The way he handled this could have stopped someone from hydrating or leaving the class and having a health emergency. Absolutely ridiculous.

Love this yoga studio! I have been going here for a couple years now, and all the teachers are very friendly and meet you where you are in your practice. I especially love their Smart 60 and Hot Pilates classes. They are perfect for cold wintery chicago days and also to sweat out toxins after a fun night. I also love seeing the diversity in the class and the welcoming nature of the studio. The first couple times may be rough as you get used to the heat, but keep going and you’ll fall in love with it! Very great for your physical and mental health.

Great studio with great amenities. Friendly instructors. You might run into the owners and the managers once in awhile. My only remark is that some instructors crank up the temperature way over 105F (I have personally seen it at 120 once) and at that point the majority of the class are either laying on the floor or just walking out. They need to learn to read the room. But that doesn't make the studio less than great! Thank you.

I went in for their Inferno Hot Pilates. Great place if you like doing pilates with others' feet in your mouth. It would have been unacceptable how packed this place was 4 years ago too, but it's outright irresponsible now, especially for a hot yoga studio. I am talking over 40 people in a midsized studio--I counted. People were jumping over each other's mats because there was no room to walk. Mind you this was in the afternoon on a weekday. I had read about them filling classes over capacity on ClassPass, so I tried to go at a time that I thought would not be as busy. I regret ignoring those reviews.
It was a good workout, but I could've found multiple videos with the same routine on YouTube. It took the instructor 15 minutes to actually demonstrate a move and he shouted vague instructions like up-down, right-left, inhale-exhale most of the time. I would have been lost if the person next to me weren't familiar with the routine. I basically watched them the whole time. I didn't hear the instructor suggest a single modification. He only corrected two people's form throughout the hour. But then again it must be difficult to pay attention to how individual people are doing with 40 people in there. At the end, he showed a couple stretches and told us to 'just stretch' because we 'know our body the best'. I know how to do a full-body stretch, but what about people who need instructions for targeted stretches?
I had been here for hot yoga once more, more than a year ago. There were 4 people in the class and the instructor actually instructed. It looks like they are trying to make up for lost money at the expense of quality and hygiene.

Tl;Dr: ridiculously crowded, not a great work out, smells bad, the only time I've ever ended up with someone else's sweat on me.
I took a heated Pilates class here and it really didn't live up to the hype.
To start, most places that teach a lot of hot classes have non-porous flooring so it's easy to clean up all the sweat, whether it's rubbery tiles or hardwood with a thick glaze. This place has old, un-sealed hardwood floors, and the room just smelled like thousands of people's sweat had seeped into the crevices. I can't imagine how anyone could adequately clean it. It was a stuffy hot and not the arid kind of heat you get in most modern studios.
Also, I've done lots of Pilates. This class was not Pilates. This was a lady dancing around to the greatest hits of 2005 and guiding everyone through a sequence of basic stuff (planks, push-ups, lunges, etc) that you could've gotten from a YouTube video. There was no mention of alignment, control, etc. It was all really rushed.
I usually opt for Pilates because it is core-focused and excellent for people with injuries, which I have right now. But this involved so much non-pilates stuff that I straight up couldn't do a lot of it. The instructor gave no modifications and did not offer to help when I started just going into boat pose whenever she called for something I couldn't do. She didn't demonstrate much and wasn't paying attention to people's bad form, which is a recipe for injury. At the end of the class, my injured shoulder was sore, but nothing else was.
I seriously considered leaving halfway through, but that brings me to the next issue- the room was packed. My neighbor's sweat flung onto my bare skin. So did the instructor's. I didn't think I could get to the door without getting wacked. At the end the instructor made a bunch of disparaging comments about people who don't work out, which seems pretty discouraging to people who are just getting into it and not at all welcoming.
These are smaller irks but they had a bunch of pictures of Hindu gods, Buddhas etc in places that weren't particularly reverential, which always rubs me the wrong way. If a yoga studio is going to stay true to the spiritual aspect that's one thing, but these were just other people's sacred symbols used as decor in an extremely white space. Also, they charge $2 for mat rental, expect you to clean them yourself, and don't provide space or time to do so. So who knows whether the last sweaty person did a good job cleaning the one I had. I've been to so many Pilates and yoga studios and I think this is the only truly negative experience I've ever had.

So usually I don't leave negative reviews but this was so bad I felt like I had to. Gf and I tried this place on ClassPass as a fun weeknight date.
•we walked in and there was all of this African stuff all over the place. Like drums and a bust of an African lady with the head wrap, with seemingly no context as to why. I didn't see any employees of color and 5/maybe 25 students were people of color. It seemed like it was just random decor to seem new age, with no relation to African practices or people. Not to mention the Bob Marley stuff everywhere?
•There were also Hindu gods painted on the wall
•There were also posters for retreats they hold in Bali and mexico which is actively stealing work from people in an area with a low GDP. There are plenty of great yoga and Pilates retreats in those places held by people who live there.
•The whole place smelled like feet
•The workout was inaccessible to both my girlfriend and I bc she had a shoulder injury and I had a wrist injury and the instructor didn't offer any alternative moves
•and to top it all of the instructor SWEAT ON MY GIRLFRIEND when she was dancing around checking people's form
While the workout was decent, it was gross and the vibes were uncomfortable. Don't recommend.

Love this place. Hot yoga is my favorite way to exercise. If it’s your first time going, be patient with yourself and take breaks as needed. Get hydrated an hour before with electrolytes and go as often as you can. You’ll notice how it gets easier pretty quickly each time you go. Don’t let the heat intimidate you. Great instructor, great space, just not for me! :)
I attended one of 105f's hot yoga classes, which is a 26+2 style. I did not realize what this style meant, I figured it was similar to a vinyasa flow. It is NOT, to my surprise! The instructor calls out 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises and talks you through it. That means you are holding a pose for approx. 30-60 seconds. It's quite the burn! From my first impression, it's really centered around your core, arm strength, leg strength and most importantly mental strength. Personally, I prefer a vinyasa flow where you did a variety of poses and flows. In this 26+2 practice, we never did a down dog. Mentally and physically it was an incredible challenge, I can see how people really enjoy it.
Logan taught the one class I went to, she was very personable, descriptive and welcoming!
This is not the yoga style for me and I was caught a little off guard when I attended class so I wanted to write this review to inform others. Again, nice people and great studio space but this style of yoga is not for me!

105f is a very special place. There is a wonderful sense of community within each studio. I used to live near the Milwaukee Ave location so I never minded that there are not showers here (they do have them at the Lincoln Park and South Loop studios). The studio is always very clean which is important for me. I have met some amazing people here and wish I was not so far away now. Over the years, they have added different styles of classes and take into consideration what people who attend frequently want. And I really appreciate the consistency and dedication to always have classes every day- even ALL holidays. They have a great info on their website for new students and tips for your first 26+2 hot yoga class. They have created such an incredibly healing experience and a positive environment to practice in.

This is an awesome studio IF you're into hot yoga. If you are looking for a more traditional experience, then this may not be the place for you. However, I've been coming here for years, as well as their other two locations. I really enjoy the classes and they have a great schedule with multiple classes throughout the day. They have meditation, yin, and some vinyasa classes to supplement the classic bikram series.

Cruel Body Shaming; Unwanted Touching; Hostile Environment
I'm not as flexible as some of the hardcore yogis, but I try my best. The instructors drew the attention of the entire class to point out that I wasn't doing the pose exactly according to their instructions. Later the instructor grabbed my body and attempted to force me into a yoga pose that I wasn't comfortable with. I should have walked out then, but I just closed my eyes and waited for it to be over.
After class I spoke with the instructor (and two other individuals who may have been a managers?) requesting that they refrain from calling attention to me during class and especially to hold off on the touching. They insinuated that the reason I couldn't do the poses properly was because I'm too fat and that if I didn't want to be humiliated in the yoga class then I should be eating this paleo-starvation diet that they then described in excruciating detail. I should have asked for a refund, but I just left and haven't come back.
I would strongly caution against visiting this yoga facility!

Who locks their door the minute class starts? This isn't a college algebra class it's YOGA. Isn't the whole point to be flexible? You're in a city with incredibly unreliable public transportation. I bought a Groupon for 6 weeks of unlimited sessions - I think it was the ideal introduction to Bikram Yoga, and this studio was a great place as a beginner.
Yes, it's hot, yes, there's a bit of a funk (I mean, come on, we're all sweating like never before, but the floors are wood so it doesn't stick around that badly) Overall, the space is clean and peaceful.
The studio has high, vaulted ceilings, massive windows facing out to the street from the third floor, wooden floors, and plenty of space.
The instructors are wonderful and considerate of beginners.
I've recommended this studio to many of my friends and hope to continue attending classes here.
