I want to be clear that this review is only reflecting on physical aspect and not the staff. The staff is great! Super friendly and always helpful! However, someone needs to know that they (owners) don’t take care of this place! For years the same machine and it was my understanding that the one time annual year was to add to the gym! Nothing is ever added! The bathroom can’t even smell good. The front cook is broken. The hydra the last I tried to use wasn’t there or was broken! The drink machine has never worked—shortly after prior owner! The walls never painted. Just over all a place that is supposed help your mental health isn’t very kept up! The sad part is that is has soooo much potential and the owners just need to care a little more about members! You can see this reflect in other anytime gyms I’ve gone to so can’t say it can’t be done! It’s the small details that have a strong meaning! As simple as hygiene and scent in over all place! Members will go elsewhere and they don’t have to if owners just invest a little!

This is a great location with really great staff. Danial helped us with our cancelations when the time came, and he persisted without needing to be asked when technical issues arose. I've been going to this gym for the last year and I started doing my personal training with Cece and it is the best decision I have ever made. Danial it's great.He is willing to work with you no matter what and Cece is one of the best personal trainers ive ever had. i'm always ranting him raving about her, and I would recommend her to anybody who wants to really focus on losing weight and getting healthy, because she will not only help you like coming up with exercises that help work different parts of your body, but if you have an injury, she'll also work around that and I had an injury to my knee, and she's been great, but she'll also give you food ideas which was a big part of why I was having trouble losing weight. I have now lost 30 pounds because of her and because of the amazing staff, that is at anytime fitness in aurora

This location is the smallest gym I’ve been to. They have 1 set of most machines, 5 treadmills and 2 stairmasters. The reason I give 2 stars is because the bathroom SMELLS TERRIBLE all the time. I cant even use any bathroom, it smells like cat pee 24/7.

Update since my three star review. The things I disliked seem to no longer be an issue, so I'll just delete my old review and say that someone clearly cares about this location. It may be a bit crowded specifically at the times I like to work out, but that just goes to show they're doing something right. If you find yourself in need of a gym in that area, make sure you give the staff a nice smile on your way in for me.

Daniel is a great manager to work with. I go back and forth between different states, and anytime I have trouble or questions, Daniel is always there to help. The TVs on some of the treadmills don't work for more than 2 months. Out of three Ellipticals, one doesn't work well (for more than 2 months). I have already mentioned that to the manager. Great gym I started going to after starting a job in the area. All the staff is very friendly, especially Danial, who's always there to greet you and welcome in members. I rarely have to wait for equipment, at most a minute or two, and the other members are courteous. Would like to see a hack squat or chest supported row machine, but otherwise they have just about everything you need!

After a misunderstanding in which my sister thought she could take her 10 year old daughter with her and argument ensued in which employee Cassandra screamed at her daughter. Cassandra calls her manager on her cellphone. My sister requested to speak to the manager and is handed the cellphone-she took a few steps away from Cassandra and took the phone off speaker to privately speak to the manager. Cassandra proceeds to snatch the phone out of my sister’s hand and shoves her. Police were called and an incident report was made. Cassandra claimed to be “afraid” and “thought my phone would get stolen”. Typical white “victim” behavior.
We will pursue pressing charges for battery. This is ALL ON VIDEO. Show the video!
Daniel the manager excused his employee’s behavior and justified the assault.
UPDATE-Melissa because defensive when YOUR employee became verbally abusive to a child. Melissa understood your policy after you explained it to her and was fine with leaving however CECE followed her, yelling at her unnecessarily. It is clear who felt threatened and who was on a power trip.
YOU canceled her membership after Melissa requested. Considering how difficult it is to cancel a membership it is doubtful it was done in the best interest and or safety of anyone.
Lastly-THERE MOST DEFINITELY WAS A RACIAL UNDERTONE.
An apology and accountability would have been nice.

I recently joined this Anytime Fitness Location a month and a half ago. I have had great results. I am already noticing an overall positive change in my body, fitness level, and my mental health. I highly recommend the small group training with coach Joseph. He really goes above and beyond, and will meet you where you are and challenge you. I wanted the one on one training until I saw how much the interaction with other people would help with my motivation. The small group was beneficial to learn proper form, familiarize yourself with equipment, and meet the other people in the gym. Also, the support that you receive from the coach and from your friends in the group will help you achieve your goals, no matter where you are in your journey.

I have been a member with anytime fitness for 3 years. This morning I decided to take my nephew to the gym with me, so we went to a location near his home. I didn’t realize that there was an age restriction due to past memberships that I have had at places like planet fitness and so forth.

We were using an equipment near the office when all of a sudden, a short man with long hair tied back approached us and said “Excuse me did you sign in?” I wasn’t sure what he meant by that because I used my key fob to enter the building. I replied “yes we did”, he then asked if my nephew was my son and i replied “no, he is my nephew.”
Then he asked me “if my nephew was 18” which at that point I started seeing where this was going. I replied “No”

He then made a gesture towards the door that we have to go in which we did comply to. I’m not upset that we were kicked out because I understand that my nephew is a liability. I guess I’m a little upset because of man’s tone and grin while telling us to leave. This could be due to a nervous reaction possibly. Some people aren’t comfortable being the bad guy under the these kind of circumstances or it could be due to a lack of confidence. I just believe that there is a more comfortable way for the both of us to have that conversation instead seeing a gesture pointing to the door with awkward posture. I can say it was uncomfortable for all three of us.

As we were walking out I would have appreciated something like I’m sorry have a nice day or anything but we just walked out without any sort of salutation.

Absolutely would recommend this gym to anybody looking for a quality fitness facility and a great community. I have been coming here for years now with no complaints. The gym has every piece of equipment I need and they are always purchasing more to satisfy members’ requests. The gym is always kept pristinely clean by the Manager, Danial. When Danial isn’t cleaning, he’s being friendly and social with members. I have never taken any personal training sessions, but Joseph the trainer is very friendly, knowledgeable, and highly energetic in mornings, afternoons, or evenings with all of his clients. It would definitely improve my workout if I had a session with Joe here at this Anytime.

This gym played a huge role in helping me get in the best shape of my life before my wedding at the end of 2022. It has everything I need and the great staff and friends I made there in the community have made me LOVE coming back day after day.

My home gym is the one in streamwood. I wanted to check out other anytime fitnesses around and this location is by far the best gym I’ve seen. It was so clean, even on a weekend when it isn’t staffed! Everyone has a face mask on and kept their distance from each other. I love how calming the atmosphere was and I felt safe and the placement of the machines and free weights were thoughtfully placed in front of the mirrors. If I didn’t live so far I would definitely be here everyday!

The staff at Anytime Fitness are very friendly and personable. You can talk to them about anything. The Gym is always clean and any issues that come up, they address very quickly. One of the best gyms I have been to in a very long time.

I love Anytime Fitness. I have been going here for 6 months now and I have had almost no problems whatsoever! They have a wide array of equipment and it is usually not too busy, so you aren’t fighting over equipment.

Can't say enough about this facility and the one on rt.59. Obviously hours are great, but the club is cleaned and well maintained. I left lifetime and am happy I did. The mask requirement presents no problem. Best gym in my 60+ years experience.

Equipment: In good shape and relatively new. Cardio options include 5 treads, 3 elliptical, 2 stairs, a rower and a bike. (Cut by half due to pandemic).
Cleanliness: Everything appears clean. Plenty of sanitary wipes available.
Staff: Keeps out of your way, but available to help if needed.
Location: On the south side of Butterfield Rd in a small strip. Faces fast food restaurants to the North

Best Anytime fitness around. Squat racks in the correct positions (in front of mirrors). Leg curl/extension machines that work properly. Not too crowded during the week. Not really missing anything that I can think of.

One of the worst managed gyms I ever been to, staff is not trained properly with customer service. I cancelled my membership and they still proceeded to charge me for there membership. I called the gym multiple times to get answers and not only did they not answer but I never got a call back. Needless to say I would not recommend this gym or any other gym being ran by this owner

Staff is very helpful and professional. The gym is always clean and rarely crowded. I rated at 3 stars because 3 of the 5 treadmills tv, audio or internet don't work after a year of membership. I also must request too often that the battery on the scale be changed to weight myself, therwise , scale doesn't work.
