Clean gym overall, nice and not too crowded. It has music but I mainly listen on my headphones. I wish it had more equipment, like seated calf raises and a hack squats machine but overall very nice.

Been going here for a while now, still keeping the rating. It's been through some turnover with management but the place still is clean. They added a bit more equipment and moved things around. Treadmills still have issues as they seem to not go over 10 mph but overall a nice gym!

I absolutely love anytime fitness. I love that they aren’t crowded and have gyms all over the US. I’ve moved quite often so I’ve been to multiple locations. This location is kept very clean and staff has always been great.

That being said the membership isn’t cheap, and the “yoga room/ dance studio” at this location has not had AC for over a month. At first I thought okay that sucks, I’m sure they will get on it… never did. The owners have do better. It’s been 95 degrees outside, it’s ridiculous that a gym doesn’t have adequate AC especially when each member pays $40 a month + a yearly upkeep fee.

I’ve been to 3 other Anytime locations before but Glendale Hts location is by far the biggest, cleanest with a good balance of over all equipment for a gym this size. Mari, the manager, was great during the signup process! Also, the men’s bathroom is always super clean and smelling really nice which is never the case at any gym haha. So far, I’m pretty satisfied!!

i had it 5 when i started last year but recently there are flooring damages that have gone unrepaired and are trip hazards. i showed it to a staff member and they said shrugged it off and left. i at least put a bench over the top of it, but they should really put a cone out. i almost tripped right in front of the weight rack. tried to cancel because of the attitude i got with manager over the phone. ive moved out of state and they are saying it can only be done in person. when i stated that i would simply cancel any charges at the bank, she gleefully stated "thats fine. you can just go to collections" BE WARNED. sign elsewhere. dont waste your money here!

I need someone to contact me to help me end my contract and end auto renew. I want to pay in full because the closest anytime fitness is more than 25+ miles away from me and they keep charging me. Every time I call, someone picks up and tells me that their manager is going to Handle it but no one ever does. I’ve been trying to cancel for almost two years and they won’t let me. Call this a predatory gym membership model. Won’t ever be signing a year to year gym model. Don’t ever sign up for a year to year because they’ll never let you escape

Gym is actually nice. But had a lot of issues when trying to cancel my membership for my son when the trainer we joined for was removed because of inappropriate behavior. They were not responsive when trying to resolve my membership and had to work with my credit card company. When they did respond there wasn’t follow through after discussions. Too many other gym options around to have to deal with that type of business.

I had to cancel my membership last year since I was moving, and had done all the appropriate steps to do so. I realized, however, several months later, that my dues were still being drafted from my account. I called the club and was put in touch with the new owner, Mo, and he immediately went to work getting the situation resolved. Additionally, he credited my debit card right away so I wouldn't have to wait for the funds to be reversed through the bank. You can tell the new ownership actually cares about their customers, current and former.

Nightmare to cancel! You go in and the snarky female tells you she can’t cancel unless you have an appointment (she was not doing anything or busy). COME BACK DAYS LATER FOR YOUR “appointment” and then and the cancelation consists of a piece of paper with your name and signature, but somehow they “need an appointment” to cancel. Make sure you get a COPY of your form when you do actually get allowed to cancel because they will add fees to the form you signed after you leave that says you agreed to cancelation fees! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Hit with hidden cancelation fees, on top of due to a "glitch" in their system they failed to bill me for months, and so when I went to cancel, then suddenly I have to pay all of it back, even though the screw up was on their end. Never coming back.

They’re not accommodating at all. Few months back I had cutbacks at work and paying for a membership was a struggle. I’ve only been to the gym twice since I opened the account in July. I signed up for the 3 year $33/month plan. They won’t let people cancel or adjust the membership AT ALL. They’ll charge $10/month for you to freeze the account but it doesn’t get added to your initial payment of the installment loan and for every month it’s on a freeze, 1 month is added to the end of your installment payment. The only way to get out of it would be to make the full payment amount, which for me would be $1,022.00. If I couldn’t afford the $33 what makes you think I’d have $1,000.00? If you’re reading these reviews I wouldn’t do it. I’d been better off keeping my Planet Fitness account at $10.00 with an anytime cancellation fee of $15.00.

I joined Anytime Fitness at the GH location last year. I moved earlier this year & the Libertyville AF became my new home gym. I wanted to make sure my year member did not auto-renew so I called to try to figure out how to cancel it. I then found was going to be charged for a couple months more because of an error.. I called Libertyville AF because they were my phone gym.. all they did was blame GH AF & would not help me. They tried to make me a "deal" but were going to charge me unnecessary money. I got a hold of James, who went above & beyond to help me. He tried to get Libertyville AF to help me out, & when they wouldn't, he found a way to help me since Libertyville would not. While there was sometimes a delay in responses, he would eventually get back to me (also, I understand there's a pandemic & that James manages more than 1 location). I appreciate all of his help, especially in a pandemic & around the holidays!

I just started coming to this location over the past six months and have to say it’s one of the nicest Anytimes I’ve been to, including out of state. It’s very big, with plenty of aerobic machines, weight machines and free weights. They have two hydro massage stations and a tanning bed. The bathrooms are well lit and very clean. James has personally seen to it that I am satisfied with the environment, and was very helpful in getting my “home gym” changed to this location from another, less impressive facility. I don’t know what it was like two or three years ago, but it’s pretty great now.

I am a member here and I can honestly say it s a blessing that they are in our town.. A lot of different machines you can train with. Its a nice size gym but cozy at the same time. After I waited for 20 minutes to sit down with him, he took several calls while meeting with me, which is fine except he never apologized or said excuse me, and was then was short with the person he was on the phone with. There are arbitrary fees like enrollment and annual fees that they apparently will adjust based on how badly they need members or how you pay, I was quoted a different price for both than the person on the phone and I was quoted a different price by the assistant manager.
