My boyfriend and I like to find and play different courses around NW Indiana. We drove around an hour to play this course on October 4, 2025. A lot of the courses around us are full of leaves this time of year, but this course was immaculate! The fairways were neat and mowed and weed free. The greens are very well maintained and challenging. I dare you to find a flat part on any of those greens. Lol. Highly recommend this course.

This is a great starter course to play on. I’ve only been playing for 2 years and it’s definitely a good one to learn on. Though, I do not recommend it over other courses around the area.

The price is way too high for what you’re given. No decent par 5s, only two and they are basically straight with fields around. Not a lot of scenery/environment. Basically only two water holes. The sand traps are rocks.

The worst part is that they basically have leagues every day and don’t let you know even if you ask ahead of time. I’ve tried playing 18 multiple times this year and believe I’ve only successfully played one full round. Either we are told after there is a league, or have to find out by the league. I voiced my concerns and asked what days they have leagues and was told basically every day besides every other Saturday. Not sure why they wouldn’t make the club with private or block out every weekday from after 4-5 PM. Don’t waste your time/money here. Too overpriced and there are plenty of nicer courses around that are less expensive.

Disappointed. My father and I have played here for the last 18 years+ and today's round will be our last. Our 3rd golfer canceled on us last minute, we arrived 20+ min before our tee time and informed the staff immediately. The tee time before ours cosisted of (5) people in (2) carts. When we asked the starter/counter employee about the front 9 traffic, he informed us front was packed, and we should start on 10. We did without hesitation and had typical 9 holes at Aspen. When we made the turn, stopped through the clubhouse ready to head out on 1, we were told to play the back 9 again as the front was backed up. As we were playing our second shot on 10 we were approached by, who we can only assume was management/ownership in a cart. The same gentleman was next to us at the counter and witnessed the instructions we were given when we made the turn. He asked us to finish the hole and then to let the twosome that was now behind us play through because they were "good golfers" he then continued to tell us that to solve this problem "we should bring more people". Whose problem? Surely it isn't mine/ours. We paid for 18 different holes of golf. Thank you for assuming my golf abilities as well as that of my golfing partner and then insult us. We were actually playing scramble golf so we wouldn't have held them up, but weren't even asked. We were enjoying a father son afternoon and we needed to bring more people? We spent the next 8 holes waiting on the tee box for the twosome in front of us. Wrong way to handle situation and wrong way to speak to golfers/customers/fans of Aspen.
Sad day for us but we'll spend our money elsewhere.

A nice golf course for what it is: a place for beginners. I like the reasonably priced driving range so I can take my grandchildren. It's a much needed part of our community as far as I'm concerned.

My wife and I were up visiting our daughter and wanted to hit the driving range. I was extremely happy to find out that they rented clubs as most places around us don’t, so that worked out great for us. Kerwyn is awesome. He is extremely welcoming and has awesome customer service skills. When we come back up to the area I’m sure we will visit again.

I’ve really enjoyed coming here for many years due to the great friendly staff and course conditions!!! Mark Bauer is simply the best!!! I played on a Tuesday league and met a lot of great people and golfers who enjoy the game as much as I do!!! I enjoy this course and staff so much I even purchased a membership this year!!! The grass is perfect length 3/22/21. Even a bad shot you easily find your ball. Overall perfect beginner to intermediate golf course. Love the greens. Challenging but not so hard you gotta be a pro.

I didn't think golfing was a timed sport, not our fault if they were booked up, then why did you let us play if it was that important. Just rude to tell your customers to hurry up because you have other guests. I will go out to Manteno from now on.. Thanks for a rushed day..

It's been about a year since i've started to play the ridge with my Saturday golf league and I have nothing but good things to say. The course is a blast to play. The green are fantastic, even after several inches of rain, and the staff is a pleasure and super accommodating. Aspen ridge is the type of course you wish was in your town. Can't wait to tee it up there in a few days. I highly recommend stopping by if you have some free time and get a quick 9 or 18 in. The pace of play is great too, usually less than 4 hrs for 18. Thanks to everyone at Aspen Ridge for being so great and making golf fun!

Its a shame that the fine people of Aspen Ridge need to defend themselves against an individual that showed up late AND received a full refund. Considering the volume of rain this course and other area courses have endured the past month or so, they should be applauded for accommodating their golfers and allowing them to tee it up while many other courses would have simply closed down. Nothing but nice people with pleasant attitudes greets you here and the golf course is a challenging test under any conditions.

Response from Aspen Ridge to the review from B Nichols. Aspen Ridge Golf Course is family owned and we pride ourselves on being friendly and accommodating. Our course is well known to be in excellent condition. This group showed up late for their tee time. There was a short wait on the first tee, and the ranger was polite and helpful. Since this group was from out of state, they were probably unaware of the weather conditions of the last few weeks. All area courses had gotten close to 18 inches of rain in a short period of time, making it impossible to mow as often as usual. The rough was longer than we would have liked. We graciously issued a full refund (instead of the typical rain check) to the injured individual, and a refund for un-played holes to the rest of his group. The vast majority of the golfers were just happy we were able to let carts out that day and enjoy the sunshine!

Course is in horrible state of repair. Called ahead for a tee time but they still took walk-ons ahead of us so we didn't get to tee of till 20 min after our tee time. My ankle found a hole 20 yards off the green that was almost a foot deep and the rough so so long that i could see the hole so i didnt get to finish my round. I'm an avid golfer but will never be coming back to this course.
