Been at Basecamp West Loop for almost three years now and I am so thankful for the fitness (and friends) that I’ve built here! The workout is engaging and clear (which is helpful when my brain is half asleep 😅). The coaches each bring their own flare to the workout, and you can’t go wrong with any of them: Dana brings the hype, Braxton brings the intensity, Dennis has such attention to detail, and Brittany makes everyone feel like a friend… I could go on! Not to mention, you will always be welcomed and celebrated at Basecamp (s/o Abby & Alyona). So thankful for this place and the people that make it!
Also, think it goes without saying that I wouldn’t stay if I didn’t see results, too.

I L O V E this gym. Over 100 classes in and it still kicks my 🍑. I have a love/hate relationship with the air bikes, but I’m here for it. The room is blacked out and lit with nightclub lighting (don’t worry you can still see!). The music is loud and keeps the energy up. And, last but not least — the coaches are 🔥🔥🔥.

My husband and I love Basecamp West Loop and what it’s done for us. We’ve always wanted to do our workouts together and Basecamp is making that a reality. It’s been a huge improvement to our well-being. There’s a clear difference in how we feel. We can see that we’re working out significantly more when looking at last year Sept 2024 (no Basecamp) and this year Sept 2025 (with Basecamp). We feel motivated to keep building our fitness routine.

Solid workout class for those who enjoy HIIT cardio and lifting weights. Also - for those who like quick and efficient workouts. The actual workout time is anywhere between 35-45 minutes usually, with the optional ab workout at the end. It’s pricey, but en par with workout studio pricing in the area. Dana and Kevin are my favorite instructors, but all are great!!

UPDATE: ***Choosing to do 12 month membership was the BEST decision me and my wife made. I realized why we love Basecamp so much. It’s: In. Out. Done. When you go to class you decide your intensity and the coaches support you. Whether you are going hard that day or taking it easier, they motivate and coach you to do your best. Shoutout to ALL the coaches and staff. ***
As a former athlete who’s been struggling to find a consistent fitness routine, Basecamp Fitness has been the perfect solution. I’ve always had the ability to create and execute my own workouts at my apartment gym, but the convenience, structure, and intensity of Basecamp’s workouts are what have finally helped me stay consistent and push toward my long-time goal of returning to high-level fitness. What’s made it even better is that I go with my fiancée, and we’ve been doing these classes together.
With a full-time job and a growing business, it’s not easy to carve out time for myself—but the 35-minute classes at Basecamp make it possible. The workouts are efficient, effective, and always different. The coaches bring genuine energy and motivation every day, and their consistency has kept me showing up, even on the busiest days.
One of the best parts? The community vibe is real, but never forced. You’re surrounded by people who are pushing themselves, and it makes the environment that much more inspiring.
I’m only 3 months into my 12-month commitment, but the results—both physically and mentally—are already kicking in. If you’re in the West Loop and looking for the best gym to fit into a busy lifestyle while still leveling up your fitness, Basecamp is it.

This gym is amazing! After a couple years of using ClassPass and inconsistently going from studio to studio, I’m so happy to have found this place and am an unlimited member. This gym feels like a community. The coaches are all very genuine people that care about your success and motivate you to do better. As someone who gets bored in a weight room, I love the fast paced transitions and variety of strength exercises. I’ve gotten better results than I have with any other workout routing.
If you’re looking for great, high energy classes, go to Basecamp!!! :)

Dropped $29.99 for the intro week at Basecamp West Loop—worth it. The 35-minute HIIT classes are no joke: alternating 1-minute sprints on the Assault bike with strength moves like kettlebell swings and TRX rows. Coaches keep the energy high, and the playlists slap. Only downside? The locker area gets cramped during peak hours. Still, a solid spot to get your sweat on.

Basecamp Fitness West Loop is truly something special. The workout itself is phenomenal—especially for someone like me who can’t do much running. It’s efficient, challenging, and scalable. But what really sets this place apart is the community.
Conik, the owner, is always around and brings a personal, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like more than just a member. The instructors—Dana, Brittany, and Morgan—are absolutely elite. They know how to push you, coach you, and keep the energy high every single class.
Abby and Alyona on the management team are always on top of everything. They’re the first faces I see at 6:15am, and it’s exactly the kind of positivity and consistency that keeps me coming back.
I’ve met some of my closest friends in the West Loop because of this gym. If you’re looking for a place that delivers a killer workout and an even better community, this is it.

My best friend and I got to try out Basecamp for a month for free before committing to a membership, and lemme just say… once you go bike, you’ll never go back (or however that saying goes). Safe to say, I’m a proud member of Basecamp West Loop!

One of my favorite studios in the city despite the fact that I have a love/hate relationship with cycling! I've come to appreciate it thanks to coaches like Dana and Brittany. It's a great way to get your cardio, strength and core in over a fast moving 45 min. Sundays are my favorite as it focuses on core moves when you're on the floor.

Awesome workout studio! Initially tried it through classpass but ended up getting a membership after a few classes.
-Great for both cardio and strength
-Exercises rotate frequently and use different equipment (bodyweight, barbells, dumbells, kettlebells, TRX bands, med balls, bike), so you keep pushing yourself while alternating/resting muscle groups
-They have frequent promos and challenges to keep you motivated
-Super encouraging and nonjudgemental community
-They have frequent socials, which I haven't been to (yet), but it's a great option if interested

I’ve been a member here for three years. Basecamp is a whole vibe. It’s by far, the BEST community centric, wellness focused, fitness program EVER. The program format (one minute on the bike, one minute on the floor) is effective, the dark club like ambience is cool and allows me to focus, BUT the factor that makes a difference is the PEOPLE - Dana, Alona, Abby, and many others. They are true LEADERS, they are warm, focused, beyond competent at their craft, and super supportive. They are Wonderful humans any community would be lucky to have. They have built this community from ground up and I cannot thank my friend who introduced me to it three years ago enough. Choose Basecamp, you choose to be supported (at your own pace) and you choose to support others.

Did a one month $30 trial, they rolled it over into a 3 month contract without telling me or asking me ( I definitely wouldn’t have agreed because I was moving in a month). I found out when I tried to cancel after the first month of membership.
Wrote them a email telling them they charged my card without authorization. Haven’t gotten a response and it’s been over a week. Also left them a voicemail to respond to my email and radio silence.
Feel like I’ve been really understanding up to this point but this is ridiculous. Terrible business

I have tried a ton of workout spots but none come close to matching the supportive, encouraging, and fun community Basecamp West Loop has built. The music is great and I love how there is a variety of working out each part of your body. The classes are 45 minutes each and it goes by quick! That’s the best part. I’ve been going to Basecamp for about 2.5 months and I’m absolutely obsessed! If you get bored doing the same thing for an extended period of time while working out, then Basecamp is for you! The typical format is 1 minute on the assault bike and 1 minute of strength training with a quick transition, so it is definitely a HIIT workout (if you want it to be!). At the end, there is about 5-7 min of an abdominal workout with some stretching. The class is only 45 minutes in total.
Beyond an amazing workout, Basecamp has the most welcoming staff and community I’ve ever experienced. The instructors and staff actually get to know your name and all the members are social and friendly. Conik, the owner, is full of energy and passionate about making Basecamp for the members and about the members. Alonya and Siara work the front desk and are so sweet and helpful.
I typically go on the weekends and the weekdays in the evenings and some of my favorite instructors are Paul and McKinley. Paul has awesome playlist and I love that he plays throwbacks to rocks out to. McKinley is also another one of my favorites and will definitely challenge your strength.
All of the instructors are attentive during class and are constantly correcting people’s form. It is not like Orange Theory or Shred where the instructors don’t care. I have had several injuries over the years and this is the first group fitness workout in which I feel safe because I know and see that the instructors care.
Another perk is that Basecamp has an app that connects to Apple Watch to track your workouts. Like Orange Theory, you get points based on your heart rate. Unlike Orange Theory, Basecamp does not have a leaderboard in the room. Personally, I like this because it makes me feel like I am not competing against other members. I hated that Orange Theory only glorified the members with the most points. All in all, Basecamp has an inclusive culture.
They offer free classes for new members, so it is definitely worth a try! You won’t regret it :)

I would recommend Basecamp to anyone looking to not only get a great workout in but also meet like minded people looking to work on their health. One of the best things that makes Base camp stand out from other classes are the trainers which provide support during the class as well as recommendations on nutrition. I joined in Dec’21 and feel much stronger, down a few lbs and enjoy going 3-4 times a week to not only get a great workout but to see new friends.

Absolutely love this type of workout and the team of coaches! I burn so many calories in such a short time it’s hard to believe. I love the atmosphere of the studio it feels like you’re at a club rather than a gym. Highly recommend!

Basecamp is an excellent option for anyone looking for HIIT/circuit training style fitness. All of the instructors have brought energy and knowledge to each class I've attended. The vibe of the studio and the community they have built is outstanding. Get ready to work with 60 seconds on the Assault Airbike followed by 60 seconds on the floor with various weight and body weight exercises. Highly recommend for studio fitness option in West Loop!
