I started a new gym journey this year. BHSC has exceeded my expectations by far! Numerous classes (some for additional charge, some not), friendly instructors/staff, VERY clean… and NON-for profit! Love it here!! Trisha has been more than accommodating!

Belleville Health & Sports Center is the best gym in the area. The staff is terrific. From the time you walk in the door, there is a friendly face to welcome you. What are you in the mood for?
Weights, bikes, elliptical, strength training, machines, Pilates, yoga, TRX, group classes, personal training, pickleball, body sculpting, power cut, ping pong. There is something for everyone. If you are having a health issue and not sure if you can do something, no worries the well trained instructors will give you alternative ways to do things. There are no strangers in our Healthclub.
We are a family. We help, encourage, kid around, support and care! Come be a part of the family!
Marsha is our manager and goes above and beyond. She is an outstanding instructor. She helped me with recovery after surgeries. Sondra does body sculpting as also helps target needed areas. Roseann , Cheryl, Denise, Theresa and others teach classes to help our members. We take occasional day trips which are always fun. Come check us out and enjoy a free 2 week pass!
See you there!

Love working out at Belleville Health & Sports. Teresa and Elaine have great classes, all the members are super friendly, and the club is well-run. It’s a nice mix of people who are super fit and others just starting their fitness journey, so I felt comfortable from day one. BHSC is a great addition to West Belleville!

A nice little Exercise Fitness club that's locally owned and co-oped by Memorial Hospital. The place looks much larger on the inside then the outside that looks quite unassuming. Really opens up once you get inside. There's a front desk to check-in and sign up for classes and or memberships manned by at least one staff member. They offer numerous classes both as part of your overall membership as well as those that require a fee, but even that's pretty reasonable ($5 for a drop-in, $30-50 for the month depending on the class).

Everyone there seems nice and pleasant and the staff are very caring and will answer any questions you have or if you need help with a machine. They have activities ranging from free-weights/weight training machines to a cardio suite and indoor track (though it's relatively small) that goes between the weight and cardio rooms. They offer Yoga, Zumba, Boxing, Karate, Tai Chi, Circuit, Sliver Sneakers 62+, Stretching, Racquetball, Spinning and much more.

Signing up is relatively simple just digitally sign a few waivers and policy acknowledgments and you can sign up for a monthly membership that $50 which is similar to the YMCA, they also offer weekly and daily passes as well. If your a member of Silver Sneakers, Renew Active from UHC, or have some other gym member benefit with a Medicare Advantage Plan or Policy your membership is free as along as you remain a member of the issuing insurance company, program, or plan. This also entitles you to some of the classes for free, but some you still have to pay for like Karate, Pilates, and Yoga. As mentioned above it's usually never over 30 to 50 bucks and you can pay $5 before the class as a drop in for the day.

Overall seems like a great place to improve both your body and socialization skills as most people are nice and will often greet you whether it's your first time going or have been a regular here for years. Quite pleased I discovered this place, and more so as it's close to home. Hoping to get my mom to join as well!

Belleville Health Club & Sports Center is the coolest gym around. The director, Marsha, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They have an extensive variety of classes to meet the needs of people with all different abilities and goals. It has a quite, peaceful neighborhood gym vibe without the sense of competition and pressure at other gyms.

Friendly community fitness club. There is a good array of cardio equipment, one room of weight machines and one large room of weight lifting gear. There are classes, racquet ball courts, an indoor track and much more. It is clean, what stands out most is the kind supportive staff and warm and welcoming members.

This facility is clean and well equipped. I go mid-afternoon and never have to wait for a machine. The staff are helpful but, as with every business right now, they are training new staff. You may have to wait for an answer to a question. Price is very competitive.

5 stars for the club and the wonderful employees, 1 star for BJC Healthcare and Memorial Hospital, who ran this place out of business once BJC put their stamp on it. Cut the hours so drastically on weekends they may as well have just not opened at all.

Received a letter this week they are done Dec. 31, out of business. I guess so with these hours and the fact they cut so many staff that it rubbed people the wrong way. Gonna really miss this place and it’s sad that corporate greed rears its ugly head and leaves people unemployed and a lot of great people out to fend for themselves.

Really enjoy the club, workout areas are very clean and not extremely crowded. Rarely need to wait for any machines! The security is great and all members seem very nice, honest, and trustworthy! The FREE classes are a great bonus that many members seem to neglect especially YOGA!! One wish is that weekend hours would be extended beyond 12pm or open perhaps at 12pm on Sundays; if you were to attend Church makes it difficult to get a workout in CHOICES choices...

BHSC used to be a great club. I worked out there many years. Recently I came back to visit Belleville and one of the first things I was gonna do was go back there and workout. Unfortunately, they have cut their hours of operation so severely that it would be impossible for me to go back. I can't believe they are still in business with these hours. I'll have to go to King's Pointe Sports club instead.

Joyce is the best massage therapist. She's unfailingly pleasant and happy. But more importantly, she finds those problem areas and works them out. I have a chronic condition and Joyce is part of the treatment team that keeps me going. I can't say enough amazing things about her.
