Best gym I have ever been to in terms of cleanliness and crowding. This gym is constantly updating their equipment and facilities, just in the year that I’ve been a member here. I appreciate a gym that truly cares!

I do wish that some of the gym members were more respectful. Perhaps Blink could do better at enforcing that, but ultimately it’s not their fault. I’ve noticed that some groups are very loud (to the point that they yell across the entire gym), will play music from their phones, won’t re-rack, and/or won’t wipe down their machines.

Great gym, one of the cheaper ones in the area, however if you are trying to cancel your membership, they refuse to let you do it online or over the phone and they make you come in person to do it. They also charge you a $50 cancellation fee. $50. That’s almost twice as much as the membership itself costs, and that’s JUST for cancelling. Kind of insane if you ask me.

This gym is clean, the staff is friendly… but after talking with some other women in the gym, I’ve asked a few staff members about 35 lb. barbells for those of us with smaller hands… despite them agreeing they’d be useful, the manager said “people will just get upset if we have those here. Everyone will get confused about which bar is which.” That seems like a very strange reason to not have a few extra bars on a clearly marked rack for those who need them, especially since Blink has about 500 signs posted all over the place about gym equipment and etiquette… they’re also majorly underestimating the intelligence and mental flexibility of their customers, as if people will start a riot over one more set of barbells. 😂

But, overall a good gym.

Blink has great atmosphere, friendly staff and decent equipments. One flaw I noticed after coming about a year or so is that their cardio machines are not regularly maintained (especially their stairmasters which is all broken). My previous gym hires a company to regularly maintain the machines which kept them updated and running smoothly. Please commit to maintaining the equipments. Otherwise, amazing gym with a good environment.

Beware of predatory billing practices.

When the temperatures hit -15, I went in to get a day pass so I could use the treadmill. I was instructed to sign up for the orange pass at $17/month and cancel. That's not how it worked at all.

I was charged $17 for the first month, and then the following month was charged $59. I had to pay that $59 to cancel and "buy out" my membership. I sent multiple emails to customer service explaining in detail that I just wanted a day pass and that I only used my "membership" once as I was back to running outside. They gave me the most unhelpful run around, sending me generic answers that didn't address my original query. It was as if they didn't even read my emails at all.

All in all, I paid Blink fitness around $80 to use a treadmill once. Their customer service completely refused to correspond in a personalized manner, sending only canned responses. Beware of their deceptive marketing, their business model, and the employees and customer service reps who seem to be in the dark about how the billing model works.

Careful with this gym. When they first opened, the basic membership was $15/mo for EVERYONE. Now it seems they charge each person differently. For reference, I quit my original membership years ago and recently signed up for one again. When I signed up, the advertised price was $22/mo and I was a bit shocked that it had gone up but figured it was just due to demand. About a month after signing up I noticed that the advertised price online was $19/mo, and then shortly after that, there was a special advertised at $17/mo. The window sticker says $15/mo so while I recognize that $22/mo isn't the most expensive gym membership, I can't help but feel like I'm being robbed somehow. Why am I paying $22/mo when others are paying $15? I asked the manager about this and was told that the only way to get the cheaper plan is to cancel the current one, at a $60 cancelation fee, and sign up again. What?? Planet Fitness is just a few minutes away and offers the same things for just $10/mo.

I used to belong to LA Fitness in Evanston until it closed. I'm pretty happy it did close because I like Blink a lot more. It is further away but a good walk/run distance for me to warm up.

The equipment is in good/like new condition. Nothing seemed to be missing.

I went on Sunday afternoon which was nicely quiet. I could walk right up to the squat rack and bench press. I wish that were true at my home gym (at any time or day.)

The staff was really nice and helpful.

Overall, one of the best gym experiences I've had in a long time.

I’ve been a member here for 10 months. The gym is new and clean but unfortunately, the staff is young and unhelpful. I have been lied to, by two different staff members, hung up on by one during a phone call and another laughed in my face while eating a banana when I asked to check the lost and found for my airpod case that disappeared from my locker during a visit. Ethically I just can’t continue to support a business that demonstrates such lack of care and concern for their customers.

Excellent value, especially for beginners and fitness enthusiasts. It offers all the standard equipment and features you’d expect. The facility is clean with new equipment. No lingering gym odor!

There are quite a few teenagers, some of whom use their phones to record workouts or play games. Additionally, the absence of a water bottle filling station is inconvenient; using a regular drinking fountain with low water pressure can be messy. It’s surprising that such a well-funded gym overlooked this commonly used amenity.

I was a member for close to four years. Within that time my membership remained at the same level. For two of those four years I was randomly charged amounts other than my monthly membership and annual fee (example: $61.99, $22.99, $123.98...). I spoke with multiple managers regarding the unauthorized charges and was told time and time again it wouldn't happen again. Unfortunately, for the past two months I have been charged over $100, each month. After leaving messages for Tracy to help me resolve this and not receiving a call back I took to Twitter, Instagram and even called the 800 number in hopes of having the charges reversed. Finally, I disputed the charges with my bank only to find out someone within Blink's billing office contested my dispute saying the charges were authorized. I am currently out hundreds of dollars for unauthorized charges that I was assured would be reversed. Even after suggesting they delete my current account and re-open a new one in an attempt to separate myself from whatever software/ id10t issue is taking place on the back end, they have done absolutely nothing. I suggest anyone signed up with Blink check all their bank statements closely to avoid going through this nightmare of a situation.

Great gym and amazing workers.

Although, there is a white old man who stays on the stair-master machine for hours almost everyday. He approached me once in the middle of my workout to yell at me for my mask accidentally going below my nose and told me that I am the reason people die. I always mind my own business, but it is very uncomfortable knowing that he is on the stair-master machine looking over at everyone in the gym for hours and I always have a sense that he is looking at me. Also, funny thing is that half the people at the gym keep their face mask off, yet he decided to only yelled at me while I am doing my own workout away from him.

The staff here were super friendly from the beginning when I first walked in and asked for a tour of the facility. The gym is clean, organized and well equipped. The members here also foster a good comfortable environment to work out in. If you’re looking to get into strength training I’d recommend talking to Ben, one of the trainers there. He’s great and has helped me go above and beyond with my strength training goals. I can say that he’s been the best trainer I have had. I’ve been a member for almost a year now and don’t think I’ll be changing gyms any time soon.

I was so out of shape and walked in to start working out at the age of 47. Out of shape and feeling old… Maddy had me at hello and helped me start my journey…she got me to where I am today. but the manager Gina is for sure my spirit animal and Now Daria is my guiding light and my current trainer!!! I have goals of being a body builder by the time I’m 50#goallife… Mason always brightens my day when I walk in and so does all the other front desk ALEXA AND SANDY I wish I knew their names! Mason should be the asst manager in training for sure!!!! I am looking forward for the first time in my life to be in the best shape I thought I never thought I could be! I like Blink a lot -- clean, big, well-lighted, lots of machines, friendly staff. Always a pleasure to walk in. But (August 2021) they need to bring back the mask requirement. With the Delta variant everywhere now, there are way too many young and unmasked people here huffing and puffing for the place to feel safe. Wiping down the machines isn't enough -- the real threat is in the air. I say this as someone who really hates wearing a mask.
That said, the recent decision (and effort!) to move all the dumbbell racks to the north wall has really helped reduce crowding, and is much appreciated.

So me and siblings along with a group of friends decided to try this gym out one weekend when we were approached by a personal trainer off the clock who gave us a hard time and accused two people out of our group of being personal trainers and were not then proceeded to what felt like a threat to notify his manger as if that was supposed to deter us from coming back. As if that wasn’t bad enough he then proceeded to somewhat follow us around through our workout. Such a shame nice new gym but I would air on the side of caution if go there to workout in a group of more than 3 and your group is Predominantly black.

In the age of COVID19, this place gets it done and has nice, clean equipment and locker rooms, friendly staff (shout out to Joe), all at a reasonable cost. Members are respectful of others not only by distancing and wearing a mask, but they understand basic gym etiquette (something seriously lacking at gyms like Mcgaw YMCA and LA Fitness). It's refreshing to finally be a member of a gym who "gets it".

The staff here are very helpful and they keep the entire gym spotless and tidy. They are always cleaning something, they work so hard! Equipment is modern and in good condition. The other customers are polite and serious so the culture of the gym lets you just scan in and workout. I wish the locker room had a shelf, towel service and locker rental. Otherwise, this gym is a great place to workout.
