Do not come here. When I first signed up 3 years ago it was great. It’s been slowly declining all the way up until Blink filed for bankruptcy then moved to a franchise model after restructuring. Whoever bought the locations in the area doesn’t care, they’re just milking it for the money.

There has been no hot water (which is actually required BY LAW) at this location for almost a year. For the last year and a half only 2-3 of the stairmasters are operational out of 6 at any given time. Some of the machines are now showing signs of severe wear.

There was a fly infestation a couple months ago…where the locker rooms had literally dozens of dead and living flies in them. The place is barely vacuumed anymore. Save yourself the money and just go to planet fitness, it’s cheaper and probably better kept.

Why the hell would I have to pay for another month when iI’m canceling this month? That makes absolutely no sense! I asked if he could email that policy to me. He said sure & didn’t do it. I’m pretty sure the person I talked to had no clue what they were doing. I had to give him my name & phone number 4 times. 🤪😡

I went to this gym for one year. I liked it because it was close to my house. However, they didn’t have enough equipment, and sometimes I had to wait a long time for the machine I needed to become available. People didn’t clean the machines — I often felt like I was the only one doing it.

The service at the front desk, especially from the female receptionists, was very disappointing. There was one blonde woman working there around 2023–2024 who stood out for her rudeness. They never responded to my greetings, even though I had never done anything to deserve that treatment. At times, it even felt like they were gossiping about the people who came to the gym.

Strangely, these same receptionists were polite and welcoming whenever my husband walked in. 🤔
The male staff were respectful, and the cleaning lady — a kind Mexican woman — was the one person who made me feel seen and welcome.

Despite the negative experience with the front desk women, I still enjoyed going to this gym — mostly because of the location and that one kind staff member.

The gym itself if great. Clean, plenty of machines, free weights. The staff is nice.

My only complaint is the customers. I was using a stepper, super setting with the free weights right next to it and someone came and just started using it. Didn’t ask if she can sub in and there were 5 more steppers right next to it.

The next time I went, I was using the workout area and the SAME CUSTOMER, came and took the 15lb dumbbells is was using. There are plenty other free weights, I don’t know why she couldn’t go get another set.

I didn’t want to bother the staff, but figured if I post it here, she might see it. It takes a second to ask if someone is using something and there’s plenty of equipment there. Don’t be rude.

This place is a joke I had a membership for a couple weeks yet only went once and they can see that. Then cancelled the third week. they kept charging me and I didn’t even know for months then I went in, they said there was a huge mistake we’ll fix, boy did they. Now there’s a collection agency called Aldous & Associates wanting to collect 90$ like what the hell.

This place is always spotless...in the morning. The morning crew Adriana and Yesenia always make sure to be friendly and polite, welcoming me even when I am kinda mad about my being here LOL if you come right at open you can see them cleaning making sure it's ready for our use. They also spot clean through out the time I am here. Makes me feel secure and happy.
I did come in the evening at 6 a few times and let me tell you that was not the same vibe at all. The teens working the desk barely looked at me as I walked in and out and I never see anyone cleaning, that gives me the ick. I hope I just dont see them doing it, and they actually do, but who knows.

Great gym. The weight training section is usually crowded 5-8pm so usually come a little after to not feel rushed and cramped. Plenty of cardio machines and the strength training area is well maintained and spacious.

It's awesome having a gym only a couple blocks from home. I can walk to and from within a few minutes. Inside the gym is great. Equipment...etc. Friendly and helpful staff. It was my first time back at a gym in about two years. Felt great afterwards. Highly recommend.

Great gym. I signed up for Charter Fitness in Alsip and hated it -- too many people, too few weights, no air conditioning, and just DIRTY. Came to blink for a free trial day and was blown away by how clean and peaceful it was! For not being that big, it has plenty of equipment. I wish it was open a little longer, but wow. The locker rooms were spotless, the AC was blasting, and the treadmills have built-in aerobic adjustments to kind of circuit your workouts. There are also PLENTY of benches and weights and I had a great experience here. I second the review that asked for a hip thrust machine, that would be amazing. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I have been looking for a gym that we feeling comfortable in. We decided after touring Blink this was the gym for us, because it is clean, staff is professional and knowledgeable about the equipment. We worked out yesterday. The experience was great. Nice, clean and quiet gym. They have a lot of exercise equipment, weights and different work out section for all your needs. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Gym memberships are affordable and well worth it ! I highly recommend Blink Fitness, I personally love this gym.

This place is IMMACULATELY clean! Spotless locker rooms, plenty of machines and equipment. The staff is fantastic and bubbly, always checking sani stations and cleaning. I understand the mask rule, but the way I was treated over it was very unprofessional. I walked in the Gym on Thursday December 30th without a mask on( I was looking for it in my gym bag as i was walking in) when i was asked if i had one. I responded “yes I do I’m looking for it”. I quickly realized i didn’t have one after getting to the locker room. At that point i grabbed my keys and was on my way to the car to get a mask when i was handed one by the front desk staff. I was appreciative of that, said thank you and carried on with my workout. The second I walked away and got to the first machine I was being stared at by all three staff member's while my mask was on. After i was done with my first set I looked around and realized half of the gym didn’t have a mask on…but they were so focused on me they must have forgotten about the rest of the mask less members. I grabbed Patsy multiple times to let her know people didn’t have there masks on. A couple times she did something about it and couple of times I was ignored. During the duration of my workout ( about an hour) I felt very uncomfortable with the front desk staff staring at me to make sure i didn’t take my mask off. People at your gym don’t even feel comfortable drinking water with their mask down because they fear getting yelled it. I have several friends and family that attend this gym and I will be sharing my experience with all of them.

I paid off the remainder of the one year contract and 7 months later I find out I've been getting charged $20 every month(to a bank I no longer use) ... the employee that closed my account assured me I could use the gym for the remaining month of my contract and by paying off the contract I was no longer obligated to make monthly payments and would have to resign up after to continue using the gym

The people at the merrionette park location are friendly and very nice, environment is good. But I got to be honest, some people working there shouldn't be. I went to go cancel my membership in september(renewal month) and found out later that they didn't actually cancel my membership. I did get refunded the monthly charge, however, not the annual fee even with the circumstances. They suck

This is a terrible organization, stay far far away. This organization is not ethical, from the minute they signed me up I was told nothing but lies. I was told I would get two personal trainer sessions when I called to set them up they said that was wrong you get one. Also when I signed up they said that there was no cancellation fee and was told, incorrect there was a $70 fee. When I brought this up to the staff they knew People signing up members were telling lies to get people to signup and didn’t care.
