I highly recommend Drake!! His small group strength training sessions are excellent and well-paced with stretching, short aerobic warm-up, and multiple circuits that work all muscle groups. Drake is knowledgeable, attentive, supportive and makes the workout enjoyable. I needed to add strength training to my workout routine and I’m very thankful to my co-worker who highly recommended Drake. I am building muscle, I feel stronger on the tennis court and in general I feel healthier. I also like Drake’s newsletters with weight management/healthy living information, motivation, and recipes. There are so many machines in the gym that I had never used and had no idea what the proper form was for using them. Drake's class is probably the best, most affordable way to learn how to Strength train. He's a very positive, upbeat person. The workout will give you that "Runners High", Highly Recommended. First of all, Steel Fitness is a great facility. There is a large varity of equipment and ample space for the many clientele. I've trained at many gyms, with many trainers, over the past 35 years only as an average, now elderly, guy trying to keep healthy. Secondly, Drake obviously is well qualified as a trainer/instructor/supervisor. Thirdly, and most importantly, his knowledge allows him to modify exercises and routines based on someone's limitations, even in group sessions. I highly recommend Drake's services at Steel Fitness of Morton Grove. Oh, and the location is ideal!

I’ve just started with Drake. Right away I can tell this is someone who genuinely cares about your success. He is very thorough in everything from warming up and cooling down your body to the correct movement and posture during each exercise. He even follows it up with diet plans and tells you why you should eat what you eat based off the muscle targeted that day. He has a bunch of plans for different schedules but personally I think the unlimited one is the best because you can see him every day of the month if you want and save so much money.

I have tried numerous workout classes and nothing has been as addicting and transformative as Body by Drake. I have only been attending Drake’s small group trainings for about 3 months and I have already noticed myself getting stronger. These classes are dynamic and hit every part of your body with Drake motivating you the entire way. Drake is great with correcting form and ensuring you’re going heavy enough to see actual changes. As someone who hasn’t used a lot of gym equipment in the past, he also patiently leads you through how to use the machines as well as explaining the benefits you get from the machines.
Additionally, there is no judgement in these classes, and catered to work for all different fitness levels.
Overall, I highly recommend Body by Drake classes- you’ll see real results and actually enjoy the process along the way!

After not doing any sort of exercise for many years, I made the decision to change my lifestyle. As an out of shape middle aged person finding and hiring a personal trainer can be very intimidating. I am unable to express with words how lucky I am to have found Drake.
When I started this journey, I was constantly seeing an orthopedic doctor for joint pains and back pain. I was getting by on muscle relaxers, steroid packs and injections. When I did my initial assessment with Drake I explained all my problems. I was actually hesitant to tell him for fear that he would tell me that he couldn’t train me. But in truth, the strength training, stretching and proper movement Drake has taught me has been more beneficial than any treatment I received from orthopedic doctors. I have great mobility in my shoulders and back now. I am seeing a change in my body composition. Now that I have regained mobility I haven’t had in over a decade I am definitely looking forward to having Drake help me accomplish all my fitness goals.
Drake’s training sessions really don’t feel like training sessions..it feels like you are hanging out with an old friend. He is able to quickly teach you and then watches closely to make sure you will never do anything to hurt yourself, but the entire time you literally feel like you are just talking with an old friend. Drake is a compassionate professional, I would recommended him to anyone without hesitation.

Drake is the best. If you want to get strong, build muscle and lose weight I highly recommend working with Drake or going to his class! I noticed I was getting stronger and more toned within just a few weeks of working consistently with Drake. Drake is very motivational, positive and highly professional. My 12 year old son's basketball coach recommended resistance band/plyometric development. Through word of mouth, we heard of Coach Drake and set up an assessment. He took time to understand our needs, background, and goals. Running some tests, he quickly identified areas to address, his hips, core, and shoulders. He crafted a custom 5 week program to address these points and add more explosiveness to his game. The routine he put together was creative and impressive. Through these sessions, in addition to weekly "homework" between sessions to continue his gains at home, we were able to see immediate improvement in his game, most notably in his confidence.
This was an investment we do not take for granted. We not only addressed my son's needs, but also set him up for long-term success by teaching him proper technique/form, max effort equals gains, importance of proper diet, and discipline.
Coach Drake surpassed our expectations and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking guidance in their health journey.

I started working out at home during the pandemic and felt like I was not making the progress I had hoped. My sister in law told me about Body By Drake and I thought why not try it. I started going once a week with drop in sessions and realized I definitely wasn’t as strong as I wanted to be. I started increasing my sessions per week and now I’m up to going 4-5 times. It’s a fun time working out with a small group of up to 6 people and Drake always makes you push yourself to get stronger. I’m now much stronger than I thought I could be and I’m well on my way to my fitness goals! Drake offers many sessions a week from early morning to evening. He’s friendly and really pays attention checking for correct form even if your one amongst a few. I highly recommend Body By Drake. Everyone should have a motivator like Drake, so you should give him a try and get some gains!

The body by drake program was the best choice I made this year! The strength and conditioning sessions are well balanced with different exercises that target all body parts. I started with Drake about 6 weeks ago and it has been an excellent experience. I am not going to tell you that he is very professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable because everyone is saying that about him. I’ll tell you why he has those qualities and why my experience has been so great!
Some trainers don’t provide the attn: you deserve as a clients which can get you hurt. During the session Drake is focused on his clients instead of his phone or other activities. Even though he does small groups (3-5) training session he is always paying attention to each of his client in that group. He watches for weaknesses and strengths during the session to see where he can apply his knowledge and experience to help you get stronger. He gives you the right amount of push that you need without hurting yourself because its a journey not a sprint!
He motivates individuals according to their needs and lifestyle requirements. He constantly checks-in with his clients to see how they are doing and how he can help. He is thrilled to see you in gym working towards your goal when you don’t have a session with him.

There’s not a single workout where I’m not extremely sweaty and even if it’s a group of people he always make sure to give enough attention to everyone and the insight of the correct form and everything. I literally finish a workout and look forward to the next one!
Also the gym is incredibly clean, organized and has nothing but the best equipments.

I have worked out personally on my own for as long as I can remember and have had gym memberships several times and have managed to stay in decent shape. As a present my wife got me a couple of sessions with Drake that I both didn’t want and was skeptical of but had to go anyway. Well, after a couple sessions, I was hooked as Body Drake is very different than any program I’ve ever had before. My specific goals are to build muscle and become full body strong and flexible. Drake shows you exactly what to do and explains what muscles you are building, demonstrates proper form and corrects incorrect form and breathing properly. The stretches to start prepare the body for the specific full body weight and body exercises that will exhaust your muscles in the way you want if you’re serious about making gains. Drake knows all about diet and answers many of my questions that make the best sense for my goals. Last thing is, it’s very motivating and fun that after a session with Drake I feel fully motivated to crush the day and my body is well aware of the max effort Drake just pushed it through. My job can be very stressful & I had allowed myself to get really out of shape. I've been working with Drake virtually over zoom classes and have found the workout to be very beneficial. There are many 1 hour times available every day which makes it more likely I can find time to participate. I'm an occupational therapist and I can see the extent of his knowledge of training and safety showing. The workouts challenge various muscle groups, each class there's something different, we stretch before and after, he modifies to fit individual needs to prevent injury, safe body mechanics are emphasized as well as importance of incorporating breathing. He also does all the regular individualized personal training things like check in on you, keep you accountable but not in a way that's demeaning. He also sends newsletters with useful researched methods of weight loss and healthy recipes. He even helped me find alternative equipment for my home as the space is small. For someone who doesn't have a lot of money to spare this is worth my investment. I feel stronger and have more energy to get things done.

He's great in the sections, you always get the attention needed to correctly perform the excercises, and every section is fun and different. Needed to stop because of all this covid19 situation, but Drake still follow up with me via text making sure I stayed on track. When my wife and I were looking for personal trainers we were finding a challenging time find a good affordable one for both of us. When COVID 19 hit We nearly just gave up on getting in shape, saying “well, I guess we will just wait until gyms open again....”

He connects on a one to one basis to make sure we are on the right track with food habits and exercise on off days too. He is wonderful , caring, always smiling with a positive attitude. I’ve been working out with Drake in the evenings right after work for about 12 weeks now and it’s something that I look forward to every time. It never feels like a chore and I always feel accomplished, physically invigorated, stronger and refreshed after each session.

Drake is AMAZING! I would give him 6 stars if I could. I’ve been dieting for years but could never achieve the actual vision of myself I’ve always wanted to get to. I was referred to Drake by my sister and boy am I glad I took her advice! I’ve been with him for about a month now and can already see definition in my muscles and have lost inches everywhere. I never thought I’d be this excited to get back into the gym for my next session! I am in the last few days of Drake’s 6 week challenge, and can’t believe that it’s coming to an end already! I have dabbled in light strength training in the past, but have always focused mainly on cardio. After this 6 week challenge, I’m convinced that strength training is far superior to cardio when it comes to weight and fat loss, and overall fitness. I’ve been taking 4-5 classes a week (class sizes are very small, usually about 4 people), have lost about 10 lbs, and have definitely gained some strength and muscle! I’d recommend the 6 week challenge to anyone who is new to strength training because Drake will explain how to do every exercise along the way. I’d also recommend it to those who just need a good kick in the butt to get them back into a solid exercise routine. I never once dreaded having to go to a class because the hour-long sessions always flew by so fast. You will get a total body workout in every session, and every single class is different, so you never experience the exact same workout more than once. I also really appreciated that most of the exercises we did were compound exercises (hitting more than one muscle at a time), so we really made the most of hour-long sessions. Drake also checked in with me just about every single day via text to make sure that I was on track with my food choices and cardio (on non-class days). The check-ins really helped to motivate me and hold me accountable. (‘I can’t eat this cookie, my macros need to be on point when I send them to Drake!’). Overall it’s been a great experience. If you’re on the fence about joining up with Body By Drake, I’d say go for it. #HellYeah

I've been receiving personal training from Drake for about 6 weeks now. The workouts are always different, which is important to me as i get bored quickly. I also like how he stretches before/after a workout.. i dont feel its done enough in group classes. also, I really appreciate the daily check ins and accountability actions he has me complete such as screenshots of my steps or pictures of the treadmill.. it really forces me to hold myself accountable outside of the classes.

This has been such a great experience. At first I was a bit hesitant because of the price but it was worth every penny. Drake takes such good care of you, by contstantly checking in to personally motivate you, and by guiding and pointing you in right fitness direction. Not only does he provide a fantastic workout program that jump kicks you metabolism, he also sends you a variety of recipes that actually taste delicious. The combination of fitness and diet has helped me shed close to 10lbs in just a few weeks. In the very beginning I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the works out, but Drake would modify each exercise to make sure I was capable. Every week I get stronger and feel a bit lighter. I'm a 48 yr old guy who is active in martial arts training. Translation: Reasonably fit -accustomed to lots of cardio but sometimes prone to minor injury from over doing things. I was drawn to his add on FB and -after asking a few questions -he was very responsive and reassured me he can create a program for me to supplement my regular activity with strength training. I was NOT disappointed. He worked me hard but he seemed to instinctively know how much weight I could handle and which exercises to do. We did some solid cardio warmup and about six additional exercises on machines/ a weighted sled (fun!) and free weights in timed sets 3 mins each 3x followed by cooldown exercises and more stretching. He knew how to motivate me to give it my all. He does this really well because he likes helping people improve. He's the real deal!

I have completed 3 weeks of training thus far with Drake/ my experience has been excellent!! Im glad I joined:) I came in with a basic understanding of strength training bc I had trained in the past. However, the difference here..Drake has made my workout sessions very personable/ he has been extremely approachable. He works on recording my reps/ weight at my workouts. Which is great! I get to see how over time Im getting stronger. Initially, I had also expressed to him that I need someone to monitor/ hold me accountable for my food intake. He has done a good job on this end as well. I text him very often with my food choices/ or questions throughout the day. Drake responds back diligently/professionally.. lastly, He is very positive about his feedback/ he is very understanding. We are humans after-all/ whenever I fail with lower weights or a bad food choice- He is very positive/ uses encouraging words to encourage me to think before I do the same again!! Last/ not least.. I love the fact that he incorporates some stretching before/ after workouts. Many trainers do not do this... But its just as important as the workout!! Thanks Drake!
