I paid for a year membership and after that year was up I found out that I've been scretely charged for two now months without any knowledge.
And on top of that, they changed their name and management.
If you are thinking about going here, don't!
There's probably other better places to go to.

And if its full whenever you go then go at a different time and if you cant then thats your problem

This gym changed it's name because of the previous bad reviews. It used to be Workout Anytime. Most of the 5 star reviews are fake. The equipment is almost always broken and it's never clean. The men's bathroom hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The same stains are there since the name change and repaint.

A lot of people are giving this place a 1 star because in order to cancel, you must send a letter to corporate through snail mail, and you need to give 30 days notice. Is it annoying? Yes, but what are you upset about, a $15 or $30 loss? It's the cheapest gym in the area that provides the bare necessities, plus more, with 24-hour access. I was told up front about this, so I know what to expect. This is a decent gym. It's small and can get crowded at times, but for the price, it suites my needs. I admit, they do lure you with specials that aren't as special as you think once they start adding technicalities and additional fees. And anytime an employee tells you the rules of bringing guests, get it in writing! Because twice now I've been told one thing and then told something different later when I bring guests. Aside from that, it's a good place for a basic workout. I just wish it was bigger so machines can be spaced out properly, and I really wish there was more privacy in the small locker rooms. An additional curtain in the doorway of the showers would help.

They have been improving their gym recently and now it is more decent than the last time I reviewed, the problems I have noticed back then are disappearing. They don't allow chalks from what I heard, but do ask about it just in case you do want to use it.
Good thing about this place is that they are open 24/7, given that you take care of yourself on midnight hours. Certainly, the place is very affordable, giving less burden on your wallet.

I cancelled my membership in September of last year after my trainer was let go. They continued to charge my credit card monthly, and this is not the first time I have had payment issues with them. They had previously double-charged me for a month of personal training and that incident took three separate talks with a manager to get resolved. After my bank blocked them from charging my card, they started calling me daily trying to resolve payment issues, and every time I called back I was assured it was a mistake and I would not be called again. When I finally called back and was able to speak directly to Demitri, the employee who had been calling me, he used profane language and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Horrible management and ownership.

Never clean the tanning beds. Today I complained to the manager that I walked in on a naked guy tanning because one of his staff send me in an occupied room, then I told him the staff member told me the customer before me should have cleaned the bed! The manager said yes the customers clean the bed... I assumed that the employees cleaned the tanning beds since that is what they get paid for. The sign clearly states, "this bed is sanitized " I guess not. Also one of the kids that works there always ignores me when I am standing at the front, hes either on his phone or turned away from the front door. Ive literly seen him look at me and continue to ignore me. And at first I thought he was high but now I know he is just lazy. You guys lost me as a customer.

Trainers were great, Gym was neat and staff in Gym was friendly and helpful. This gym in worth 5 star. BUT the management is the worst, I have cancelled my membership in Aug 2018 and 7 months down the road I am still being charged. they say their payment partner is charging and it’s not them and payment partner says otherwise.

Despite written emails from their end that my account is closed and I will not be charged, I keep getting a charge every month.. so folks be careful with Anytime.

I canceled my personal trainer account on 02/01/2019 and I am still being charged $280.00. I have spoken numerous times with the Trainer Jordan Bradley and the manager at the facility and I am still getting the runaround, this place is horrible and not to be trusted. Been a member here for the last year after switching from Xsport and I love this gym!!! This gym has everything I need for a workout and the staff is awwsome. Do not sign up here. I read the other bad reviews and thought whatever I just need it for a couple of months for my wedding. I did month to month and got personal training once a week. I was charged for sessions THEY cancelled! I called to get a refund and sessions are not refundable but they will stay on my account for a year. No thanks. I asked to cancel and they told me I need to send a letter by MAIL!! And it will take 30 days so I have to pay another month for a gym I haven’t used and will not ever use again. It’s almost like a scam, they will tell you 100 lies just to make you sign up, even portray as it’s a free trial untill you give your credit card details, once you sign up and even if they say it’s 100% refund or 14 day trial period, just forget your money, they won’t tell you that there is a huge procedure to get your money back. Give you false info and when you need your money back, gym refers to corporate and they refer back to gym. Even when their employee provide false info, corporate says we are not responsible for the info of their employee provided.

Just stay away from gym, as it’s small and trashy, moreover they give you false info just to rob you.

This is one of the best gyms in the area! Friendly staff, phonomnal trainers! I’ve been a member a 90% of gyms in the area/Chicagoland area. This has been my favorite by far! I’ve read some of the reviews and contrary to popular belief most gyms require this type of cancellation policy! I would assume it’s safe to say most of these people have never been members at gyms before! Or Unless it’s planet, which isn’t a gym! Or their jjst honesty lazy individuals!! This facility when you refuse to renew your membership will call you with a auto-dialer 10-15x a day and then demand payment or debt collection. THis is the most aggresive display I have seen from a "local gym". I have full call logs of the past 2 months with these phone calls that I will gladly add to this review.

When confronted with this information one of the employees at this facility over the phone impersonated a police officer as well, something that you wouldn't expect in a civil business establishment. This employee and facility has already been reported to the Buffalo Grove police for impersonation of a law officer as well for harassment.

This gym treated me well for the two years I was there, but I'm giving it 3 stars because of a nightmare cancellation. I was told in person by a manager that I was cancelled and good to go. Two months later I'm still getting charged. I cancelled my debit card and another two months later I get a call saying I owe $150 and they are threatening to send me to collections. I had to call my bank and dispute the transactions. After that I was informed that to properly cancel you must draft a letter and then snail mail it to the corporate headquarters. Absolutely unreasonable. Nope email or call won't do. Needeless to say I wrote a long, heart filled letter and had to threaten legal action to get my balance waived. Eventually they waived the $150 after they saw I had not used the facility in two months. I was never refunded the two months of charges after I had been told my membership was cancelled.

Too small half of the patrons were playing on their fones taking up much needed space and machines or using them wrong! Employees playing games on the computer or eating at the front desk right in front of everyone or sitting around chatting with eachother. Do they not have a break room? They must cause everytime I went up to the desk there was no one there. Also trainers not looking professional and showing cat videos on their fones while with patrons. I already cancelled my membership. I do not believe any Employees achieved an official training certification. They all looked like tenagers.

You get what you pay for, so don’t complain if the place is small and sometimes crowded. But if you can pick your hours and concentrate on the workout, this is amazing value. The staff is mostly friendly and responsive.

Horrible gym !! I informed them that I am going back to my country due to my mother's health, told them to freeze the account, they told me that they freezed my account. They have been charging me 90 bucks every week. Such an unethical practice. They wont stop charging my card. I told them how important it was for me to save money due to my current situation.

They would not honor their refer-a-friend promotion and no matter how many times I followed up reminding them, they never credited me the free month. Cancellation was a nightmare, and I feel terrible for my friend who I referred because she too had a very difficult time getting her membership cancelled. I had to go in person to my bank, trips to the front desk, phone calls/emails/letters to corporate and they still did not honor their promotion. I sent the certified letter to cancel and they still charged me the yearly renewal fee after. Staff only ever gave us the run around. This gym is convenient but has little integrity. They are often packed after regular work hours, and their "free fitness assessment" is nothing more than a sales pitch. They cancelled classes I showed up for because not enough people arrived. The bathroom ceiling tiles have visible mold. With the sign up fee, the yearly fee, and the monthly fee, this gym is also not as affordable as they advertise.

I referred a total of 4 people- three of those at once. The day I referred those 3 I confirmed with the front desk that I would receive the referral credit of 1 month each for them. When I continued to be billed the next month I followed up to find they had decided to no longer honor the refer-a-friend promo and instead had entered me into a raffle for sports tickets without telling me.

They had a customer appreciation day where they misled people into thinking they would be given free items for attending, but really it was a raffle for free things. I did get a complementary bag of ads and random supplements, including penis pills for some reason.

The more I think about it, the more things they did that really irked me. I feel they were very deceptive and consciously tried to mislead and confuse me throughout my membership there.

I have switched to Workout Anytime 2 years ago from other Gym. At the time switching the other Gym was 45 day to expire. Workout any time promise to give me 3 month free membership to lure me to join the programe "buy one year get one year free" (BOGO). I was told this is a policy for all customers switching from other Gym.
However, last month when they called me to extend membership to another BOGO. I told them I still have 3 more month membership. I will extend at that time. They told me if I extend now I can get 3 more months membership as well. I said I may not apply BOGO program I will switch month to month plan after 3 months. But they terminated my membership right at 2 years no more 3 more months. They didn’t honor their promise. They change management people very often. They only care about getting new members and never care to keep current members. So bye-bye WOA. Dishonest will cost you a lot.

I am trying to see if there a zero star option. Stay away from this place for its absolute worst customer service for anything to do with the membership related queries, especially cancellation. They will frustrate you to an extent that you will be left out with no option other than keep trying and they keep coming up with various reasons why they can't do it in the club, more paper work needed, contact head quarters etc. If they can create an account so easily, why can't they close an account so easily? last year, I asked a staff to freeze my account, and he told me that he will, so I trusted him. I just saw him click things on the computer so I thought that it was all done and good to go, but I figured out this place has been taking 15$ every month ever since. New management is terrible. I have my membership second year already. My company participating in Healthy Contributions program, so my Health insurrance paid for every my visit. I set up my account with manager (Eric) and didn't have any problems last year. Three month ago they began charging me (monthly fee). When I came there new manager Brian (always busy, don't want to talk) told me that this is not his problem but mine and my company. When called to that program, they explain me that my account isn't set up wright. I brought all instructions to this club about month ago. I have visited them twice after that to make sure Brian did everything write, but didn't have a chance to talk to him. And finally, today I've been charged again...I'm done with this facility!!!

Currently have a membership here and as its getting nicer we dont go as often anymore so i called to look into just down grading instead of canceling our membership all together and to my surprise it's 49 dollars just to down grade, and to cancel you have to write a letter to corporate and your cancelation doesnt even start until the date your letter to them is postmarked. Went to the gym Tonight in Buffalo Grove. I went to sign up at 9pm. Walked up to the door which was very awkward to say the least, I felt as if I was standing at a random persons front door. Waited at this locked door that is only activated by a member card, until the employee? Got tired of starring at me and opened the door and asked if he could help me. It was the most unwelcoming experience I've ever had and I was literally treated like I was a solicitor showing up at a random persons front door. When this person opened the door a Crack and poked his head out to ask what I wanted, I asked how I could sign up or try the facility? This person said come back at 8am. I than responded, I thought this was a 24/7 facility and he replied yeah but you have to sign up between 8am and 6pm tomorrow. I'm sorry but the whole point of someone like myself signing up for a facility that is 24 hours would be because I cannot come to your facility during normal operation hours! Why would I sign up to a small, underwhelming facility if I had the luxury of going anywhere during normal hours! ? How does this make sense please explain?!
I wanted to try out this facility because it is 5 minutes from my home and on my way home from work. They need to have employees that can sign up members and/or allow you to try the facility later than 8pm or take the 24/7 out of your name. You can refer to yourselves more accurately as sign up between 8am and 8pm to use our facility 24 hours. Very upset. I was looking forward to being so close to home and having the flexibility to work out when I wanted to.

I would like to say that I really enjoy my membership at the buffalo grove location of Workout Anytime. The customer service is always spot on and any issue that I have ever had with the company has always been resolved and taken care of in a timely, professional manner and I would recommend this workout facility to anyone. Unprofessional staff. Don't rely on promise of scheduled class, they cancel it without notice. Once I learned they cancelled all scheduled Zumba classes I sent cancellation letter and still they charged me for whole next month and wouldn't refund charges. Tries to get as much as from leaving customers by enforcing 30 days return notice sent to only one place by mail, no fax no email accepted... But they have online registration..

I've been going to this gym for a little over a year. Love it! It is clean, including the locker rooms. The equipment is clean and well maintained. I love the open space where I can do full body functional exercises. They have all the equipment I could need.
The staff is always friendly, and greet many of the patrons by name.

It is a great beginners gym, at a great price point, with a warm staff and a friendly client base.

I was a member during their first year of operation, which by the way, was also my senior year of college, and I had a great experience, despite the high traffic during peak hours that other reviewers mentioned.

Went in person and asked them to check their own records and paperwork. Turns out its their fault! We have been members since they opened in 2014. When we joined they treated us like royalty, now when we asked for clarification, they spoke like we are vermin. The gym has a decent amount of equipment although I wish they had a proper squat rack.

My main issue, and the reason they aren't getting five stars, is that no one seems to care about the gym being organized or cleaned. I spend about 15 minutes out of every workout putting away weights that are just dropped wherever a person feels like leaving them. Plates left on bars, plates left on the floor in the walkways. Dumbbells all over the place and what ones do make it back to the rack are never in order so I have to search for what I need. Benches and machines obviously not cleaned after being used. Empty water bottles left on the floor. There are a couple of signs around to re-rack weights but no one seems to bother and the staff doesn't enforce it. I actually had a person a couple of months ago ask why I was putting plates away if I didn't work there.

The men's locker room is also filthy more often than not (I can't speak for the lady's). I was hoping that they would expand them when the gym took over the office next door but no such luck. There's always water all over the floor from the two showers because the room is basically a shoebox and the showers look like they're never cleaned.

The place has great potential and I love the 24/7 access for the price but they really need to work on making the environment better.

- Good value for the monthly fee.
- Staff seems friendly.
- Place is pretty clean.
- They recently added more lockers.
- Good amount of equipment, be it for cardio or lifting.
- Equipment is all functional and the one time I saw a treadmill out of order it was fixed by the time I came back a few days later.
- Most of the clients are friendly and clean off equipment after they use it.
- I haven't heard many people throwing heavy weights down hard; bumps are gonna happen when you are lifting heavy, but it isn't obnoxious.
- Same with grunting, gonna happen when people lift heavy, but nothing obnoxious.

No complaints/issues worth mentioning and I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a gym.

All of the staff is really friendly and helpful. The facility itself is probably the cleanest gym I have been in. Great new equipment and for 15 bucks a month its definitely a steal
