My best friend had been trying all year to get me to start working out with her. I did a great job dodging her invitations—until I got engaged and realized I only had a few months to make a change. I finally gave in when she told me I could try a free week at Burn Boot Camp.
The first day, I had no idea what I was doing, but everyone was so supportive and welcoming. I told my then-fiancé about Burn and convinced him to come with me the next day. Neither of us knew it was physically possible to sweat that much in 45 minutes! After our free week ended, we signed up for another month—and my parents were so inspired by my progress that they joined, too!
Since then, I’ve gotten so many compliments from family and friends—not just about how I look, but how much more confident I’ve become. Burn Boot Camp supported us throughout our engagement and celebrated our wedding journey right along with us.
When my best friend first told me Burn was like a family, I laughed. I’ve always hated working out and had zero motivation. But Burn truly lives up to that promise. It’s made exercise part of my routine, helped me improve my eating and sleep habits, and made my whole family healthier and happier.
I still can’t say that I like working out—but I can confidently say that I love going to Burn. I am the strongest and healthiest I have ever been in my life.
And the cutest bonus? I get to see my best friend’s daughter when I go! She loves their free child watch program. 🥰

My initial experience with Burn Boot Camp was an outdoor class in the park this summer led by Sara. I found it so fun and found it to be a great workout that I took advantage of the two-week promotional offer at the indoor gym. I was immediately captivated by the program. The workouts are exceptionally well-designed and consistently challenge me. The variety of daily routines has resulted in noticeable strength gains. The trainers are outstanding; they provide excellent form corrections and offer tremendous motivation. In particular, Natalie and Beth have consistently pushed me to exceed my perceived limits, even when I felt completely exhausted. They are exceptional trainers and I love them so much! It would be amazing to see more class times with them. I would highly recommend Burn Boot Camp to anyone!

Started going here 6 months ago and have lost over 50lbs. I was in no means healthy or ready to work out but the trainers worked with me and now I’m a different person. I go every morning with my 9 month old who loves the day care staff. The trainers are amazing the front desk staff is welcoming and the daycare staff are the best. highly recommend!!

I walked into Burn on a special promotion - a month for $69 and I swore I would never sign a contract or continue after that month. I was just trying it out.
Well, here I am a year and a half later, so much stronger, so much more confident and part of an amazing community that I love. Each day is a different 45-minute workout varying between strength to cardio, and all the trainers are so helpful in teaching you how to do each move correctly and encouraging you through it.
The childwatch has been the game changer for me. Knowing I can drop my kids there and they are safe and happy and playing with all the other kids while I get 45 minutes to focus on myself is HUGE. Definitely worth the price of admission.

I can't say enough about Burn Boot Camp - Evanston. I joined almost a year ago and have not looked back. As someone who has done all types of workouts (pre-babies), this was the perfect way to fit exercise back into my busy schedule. The community is more supportive than I imagined, where you don't feel judged on your look or what you can do. And the fact that they have childcare (for free!) is just the icing on the cake. Everyone should take 45 minutes for themselves each day to and joining Burn Boot Camp is the easiest (and most fun) way to do it!

I’ve been at Burn for almost a year and a half already. Since the early 2000s, I’ve always worked out at home using on demand workouts and my own free weights. When it comes to fitness, I’m the type of person that needs someone to tell me what to do. I can’t create my own program and do all that fancy stuff. I don’t have the attention span haha! There were several things about Burn that scared me for my own reasons. I’m shy, I’m an introvert, I’m awkward. This is a group class setting. There’s interactions between you and the other gym members and trainers… But let me tell you, I’ll never go back to just working out at home. From the beginning, I’ve felt welcomed. I’m seen. I’m important enough for trainers to check in with me even in the most crowded camps. And it’s challenging! I’m a bigger guy and most of the members are half my size so it’s tempting to think I won’t get challenged by the weights and the workouts… but I get my face. kicked. in. (In the most amazing way!) I’ve proved to myself that I can do hard things. I’ve changed physically, mentally, emotionally. If all you do is doubt yourself and your potential… it’s time to BURN that away. This gym is fantastic if you’re looking to do something different every day and walk out feeling accomplished every day. At 7 months pregnant there are so many modifications that the trainers help with that have allowed me to feel like I haven’t skipped a beat! Burn Evanston has been life-changing for me. After having 4 kids in 5.5 years, I needed to physically and mentally find myself again. I’ve been a member at Burn Boot Camp Evanston for 2 months and to say it’s been life changing would be an understatement. I am by no means a “gym” person and out of shape would be putting it nicely but from day 1 I was welcome with open arms. The trainers and staff are all so amazing! Encouraging and motivating you every step of the way. They’re able to provide 1 on 1 type attention even in the biggest classes and never hesitate to stop to help you find a modification to best suit your own needs or help you correct form. My only regret is not listening to my friend and coming to join sooner! I LOVE burn!

I loved this place was here for about a month.. the staff are so friendly and helpful..the coaches they push you to your goals and their were all very fun and friendly.. the whole experience was wonderful . There is NO BETTER GYM THAN THIS PLACE!! If you are thinking about it, stop and just Go! The trainers will work with you no matter if you are a novice or a trained athlete. The community here have become some of my closest friends. I look forward to seeing each and everyone of them no matter what the work out protocol is and they lift me up even when I am not feeling it. I have been working out with Burn since 2019 and transitioned to the Evanston location May 2022. Evanston Burn is top notch when it comes to attentiveness and caring of their clients. They encourage and push and understand all in the same breath! The focus meetings with trainers keep you on task and keep you accountable- and the best part is it’s Included in your membership. They encourage you to push yourself to your limit but also understand and modify if you have an injury that you’re nurturing. I love the community feel that they foster and it is an excellent place to get strong! If needed, they also offer child care which I’ve used and my kids have loved it!

This gym is truly for everyone! The workouts are intense and rewarding and there are modifications for both the advanced and the beginner. Also included is child watch (such a rare find!) and focus meetings where you can get nutritional advice, form tips, etc. Burn has a community feel I haven’t found elsewhere. I have been going since they opened and have gotten a lot stronger and can do things now I couldn’t do in my 20s. Also, watching this group of trainers and staff navigate through COVID was inspiring. They went above and beyond to keep workouts and content coming to their members. Because of this effort, they came out even stronger and now is a perfect time to come try them out. You’ll be hooked!

The trainers know you by name, they work with you one on one and always find ways to push the limits of what you think you're capable of to bring out the strongest version of yourself. I'm now 3 years into my Burn Boot Camp journey, and I still can't say enough good things about Burn Boot Camp Evanston. It's the way I start every morning, and it's the only gym I've ever managed to stay at for this long. The workouts are always changing (so you're never bored), always challenging (no matter your fitness level), and most of the time they're pretty fun too and they are done before you know it. Even though I've been here for a long while, I'm still progressing, completing goals and creating new ones, achieving things I'd never even aspired to be able to do, and the community is amazing. It's a completely non-judgmental, encouraging space where anyone with any body can come in and the trainers will modify the workout to meet their needs and help them go from where they are to where they aspire to be. You'll have other members cheering you on and celebrating your wins with you no matter what they are. Burn trainers take health really seriously--no fads, no stock meal plans (but lots of great suggestions based on what you LIKE and what you can fit into your life that will actually work for you!), great information about nutrition and habits that you can actually incorporate into your lifestyle, and they tailor it to fit YOU.

I admit, I was inspired by my friends arms, but not as much by the words 'boot camp'. But I gave it a try. 2+ years later it's hard to keep me away from Burn Boot Camp Evanston - it is so much fun!!!. I love the balance every week of strength and cardio and hitting everything vs the same thing over and over. I love the owner and trainers and nutrition help. The free child watch is golden to help new parents still have time for themselves, while setting a good example of health to the little ones. And the community is AMAZING. I’ve been an official Burn Evanston member since 9/2021. Ive worked out for a number of years and have been in the lean side most of my adult life. However since coming to Burn and focusing on my nutrition (finally actually counting my macros and getting protein in) with a combination of challenging myself to get out of my comfort zone, I feel strong! The trainers are incredible! They are so knowledgeable and really help hone in on individual goals —- not just a peanut butter approach to overall fitness. And the community is so welcoming!!! The ladies and guys are so encouraging and actually want you to succeed!! No one is Judging for what weight you lift or how many reps you do, they are just encouraging you to show up! They make my mornings. I also want to mention the owner is in the gym constantly. She’s local to the area and we are constantly supporting other local businesses! It’s a different feeling knowing that my membership is directly impacting a business who’s owner isn’t a corporation. Highly encourage you to try it!

Everything about Burn is great - the couches, the workouts, the community! While I dread going to the gym (traditional gym), I look forward to every camp and I always feel great and satisfied! I'm so glad to have recently joined this amazingly supportive fitness community. I was so impressed after my 1-month trial, that I decided to commit to an 18-month membership. The trainers are enthusiastic, passionate, and encouraging. The workouts are challenging. However, I love that they always suggest modifiers if I need to be extra gentle or honor a certain part of my body for whatever reason. The owner, Nina, is really invested in keeping the members safe, supported, and engaged. She goes "above and beyond" for the community she (and the rest of the crew at Burn Boot Camp) have created! The community of this facility is like no other. Everyone is committed to helping others achieve their goals. Burn BootCamp Evanston has changed my life! The trainers are fantastic, knowledgeable and encouraging. I love that this place is so welcoming and judgement free. I’ve never done workouts like this before. I absolutely love Burn Evanston. Not only is David, the head trainer amazing but the community is so supportive. I have never walked into a fitness setting and felt so comfortable. I am able to set goals and work towards accomplishing them with David's fantastic amount of knowledge. He has educated me on how to fuel my body properly and has worked very hard to help me implement life long changes. I could go on and on about how great this place is. The workouts can be intimidating but the trainers are always there to help you to push yourself and get stronger! I have never found such an honest and genuine gym until I walked into burn. I would highly recommend this gym to all ages and fitness levels!

Love Burn Evanston! The workouts are challenging in a good way, no matter your fitness level, and always different so you never get bored. The head trainer is enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable, and regular one on one fitness and nutrition guidance sessions catered to your goals are included, as is awesome childcare that my kids rave about. Above all, the community is incredibly welcoming, inspiring, and supportive. I highly recommend giving Burn a try! Saturdays are always free to the public and they offer completely free two week trials!

Love Burn Boot Camp!
I used to work out at the park district but could never find classes that I liked that worked with my work schedule and my kids’ activities. It was always such a hassle to rearrange and plan that I often missed my workouts and couldn’t be consistent.
At Burn, there are SO many camp times to choose from AND free childcare! Working out at Burn has gives me the gift of “me” time, continuously challenges me physically and mentally, supports my health goals, and connects me with supportive friendships and an empowering female community.
Included in the membership are FREE focus meetings to help you meet your goals with Trainers David or Ben. I meet one-on-one twice a month to help keep my nutrition and performance goals on track. They are experts in their field and have taught me so much about how to make healthy food choices so that I can get the results that I want. Ben and David have somehow found the magic in making working out approachable, fun, and challenging all at the same time. Every day, I leave the gym proud of myself that I accomplished what I thought I couldn’t do.
And that’s what makes Burn so amazing... You will walk out of their doors achieving what you once thought was impossible.

I highly recommend Burn Boot Camp Evanston! Before I became a member, I always preferred cardio workouts and wanted to add some strength training to my routine. I signed up for the free trial at Burn and instantly became addicted. I've been going to Burn 4-6 times per week for the last 8 months and have never gotten bored. Every class is different and challenging, and the atmosphere is energetic and fun. I always leave Burn feeling like I had a great workout, so my time is never wasted. The focus meetings are a huge bonus, as well as the FREE childcare! My kids enjoy going to the childcare room and have actually made new friends there. I really can't say enough good things about Burn!

This is one of my favorite gyms! It's a great workout (i'm in some of the best shape of my life now), the coaches are knowledgeable, motivating, and nice, and the people who come in are great and not judgemental.
A lot of classes have included childcare which is really nice and makes it so much easier to attend a class

I have never belonged to a gym before - never done a burpee, a squat jump or a pull up. I took advantage of the free trial membership that Burn Boot Camp offers and was hooked in a few days. The 45 minute workout that trainers David and Ben provide is challenging but with their constant encouragement that you can do this and their motivating words to work a little harder the time flies. The gym is welcoming to all levels of experience. Individual focus meetings to discuss nutrition goals and exercise needs are a bonus.

Burn Boot Camp has everything I am looking for plus more - amazing trainers that motivate you with fun, hard, and effective exercises; a great group of inspiring women (and men); new found community of friends; FREE childcare, focus meeting/nutritional counseling, and many time options for camp. Burn is really my second home! I love it because I have a busy schedule and I get a great workout in 45 minutes. It is all worth it!

I love this place! My absolute favorite place to workout. Extremely helpful and supportive staff. David and Ben are great at providing a variety of workouts to a motivated, growing fitness community. While it is a challenging 45 minutes, modifications can be made to suit every fitness level that walks through the doors. One of the great perks is that they also offer 1-on-1 focus meetings to help keep an eye on your nutrition to get the most out of your workouts. They also offer free childcare an added bonus and really gives you no excuse NOT to workout. Give them a try - You won't regret it!

BurnBootCamp Evanston has been amazing. The coaches are knowledgeable and understand how to assist each member in providing them with a plan to either lose weight, stay cut, increase muscle and so forth. I really enjoy participating in the camps everyday as they continuously change but yet are fun to do especially since we are all a family at burn. My wife and I have definitely made burn a part of our lives and will continue to do so for a long time. Very happy and I definitely recommend all to try it out and join.

I’ve tried just about every workout out there and this is my favorite! The energy is great and classes are always different. The trainers David and Ben bring it every day and keep you pushing and on track. I love the variety of the classes from strength to cardio and everything in between. It’s a very friendly environment that welcomes all fitness levels. You work at your own pace in a group setting. Nutrition and goal setting meetings are also included to keep you on track. Cannot say enough about this place!

Burn Boot Camp EVANSTON is, by far, the best (and funnest) place I have ever worked out at and I have worked out at/been a member of many places. I took ONE free Saturday class and that was it! I quit my other FREE gym (at work) and signed an 18 month contract and not one regret! The trainers, David and Ben, are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and that's what you want in a trainer. The morning and late afternoon time slots make it easy to workout with any schedule. 💙BBC is more than just a gym. It is a family of strong women, who, without judgement, want to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. I never thought I would say it, but, my 4:30pm camp(class) is the highlight of my day. You couldn't pay me to go elsewhere.
I'm just sad they're closed on Sundays. :(
Bonus: a big, free, parking lot! 😁
Side note: I rarely write reviews, however, this gym is SO GREAT that I was compelled to write one. :)

Classes are fun and challenging,you can easily reach your goal and transform your body if you are committed to the classes and if you follow the coach’s advices in your diet,also it is very convenient for moms since they have a safe and supervised child care.

Only workout I've ever stuck with! Never the same workout twice, so you don't get bored. Great mix of strength and cardio for most impact. Trainers make sure you have correct form and encourage you beyond what you think are your limits. Also included - nutrition counseling and childwatch! No excuses not to have results from this!
