Not a good gym. This place seems to be very poorly managed. Don’t get me wrong. There is a wide selection of equipment that is well maintained and the gym space is pretty open to get a good workout. However, the staff seems to be very unavailable and absent most times. There has been at least 10 occasions where I went to use the amenities available with my package and was unable to do so due to lack of available staff in order to use the amenities in the gym. Not to mention the lack of cleanliness in the men’s locker room. Not sure what the women’s looks like, but there’s always mud on the floor in the men’s locker room and there’s literally chewed gum underneath all of the sauna seats. Only reason I gave this place two stars is because the actual gym is decent. The staff and the amenities are very much below par.

Fine gym, signed up a couple months back, I'm moving now so I needed to cancel my membership. They are charging me 150 to cancel because somewhere deep down in the fine print, it was a yearly agreement. This is incredibly misleading as when I signed up the attended turns you to a kiosk with waivers that I should have read with a fine tooth comb. It is misdirecting towards thinking it's a true monthly fee. It is not. You agree to paying for a year at a time in "installments". I guess the scammy gym won this one.

We have tried to cancel our membership for the last month now. We downgraded to the lowest tier membership, but they keep charging us for the other rate while having removed the privileges that come with it. We haven't been reimbursed, so the next step is to cancel. However, there is never a manager present, and now we have been told we need to pay a cancellation fee even though they've been overcharging.

The gym itself is pretty nice, so there is that. Club Fit as a whole, however, really went downhill when they upped the prices but took away amenities at higher membership levels. We will not be going back once we can finally cancel after being Club Fit members for years.

First, I want to start off by saying I’ve been a member of club fitness for YEARS! Never have I ever been treated in the manner that I have for the past couple days. I have paid the premium membership to have my son’s attend the kids club while I workout and I have NEVER had an issue until this past Monday. Colton at the O’Fallon, IL location yelled at my child, kicked walls and slammed doors because he was upset that my child had a soccer ball… Colton also told my son “I don’t care what your mama says” as to say I can’t protect him smh. The whole situation was disrespectful and disheartening towards myself and my child. As a PAYING customer. I should feel comfortable leaving my children to play in the kids club while I workout. I WILL NEVER bring my children back to this location nor will I recommend anyone else bring their children here.

Quit my gym planning to join club fitness. Because of all the amenities, and it being closer to my work. Had to go in to use kiosk because i couldn’t do a normal membership on line. Half way through signing up. Turns out this location does not have tanning. So, back to planet fitness. For the same cost as club fitness. I can go to planet fitness for all the amenities. And, just pay for an annex in my town for days i can’t make it out to planet fitness. If a location offers things on line. They should provide that on the individual websites. My schedule is too hectic to travel to the 3 local one’s to find out if they have it. No way to talk to somebody on the phone. Disappointed to say the least. Costumers time is valuable. You would think a huge place like this would make it a little easier to find out information rather than taking time to drive out and find out it was all for nothing. The kid behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Corporate is not considering costumers needs and prefer waste our time.

I canceled my membership over the phone in July of 2024 cause I moved to South Carolina. Looked at my credit score today and dropped 200 points because I was sent to collection by club fitness. They’ve been charging me since I canceled my membership. Called in and they charged me to take me out of collections even though I already canceled and haven’t lived in the state since July. This place is disgusting. Nothing gets put away by anyone, and every member thinks they own the place. All the equipment is always loaded with plates and members could care less about anyone else. Staff is a bunch of immature children that management has no control over. None of the staff could care less about the rules and they constantly watch people leave their weights on equipment.

Also, members of the club are constantly messing around making it extremely dangerous for those of us who are serious in the gym (ex. I was benching 315 and some dude obnoxiously danced into my barbell mid rep).

Staff also does not care if you buzz in or not and I can garuntee a large portion of the individuals causing problems, especially at night, don’t even have a membership here.

Shame on you management, this is a disgusting excuse for a gym, I hope corporate comes and cracks down on you because you make this company look horrible. In the 14 years I have lifted, I have been to 30+ gyms and this is by a landslide the worst environment I have ever seen.

I love CF! I love the staff here, they're always so friendly. ❤️ One time, my husband had an issue with the automatic payment, and they were sooo sweet about the whole situation. Also I LOVE the women's gym. Their smoothies are mid, though, but overall, it's a pretty great club!

The women's bathroom is always gross, like someone always has a blow out and I don't blame the staff cause I wouldn't clean that nasty ish....

Anywho, everything else is good. I LOVE the stretch room but it seems like the staff also loves them cause they're always in the massage chairs I'd like to use but again I don't blame them cause if I was on a break I'd definitely take advantage of that!

My son cancelled his membership in person and was told he would be charged 2 months membership fee for cancelation. They continued to charge him for several months more and when he contacted them they said their system had been messed up but was working now and they would correct it. The way they corrected it was to charged him two months cancelation fee and not refund the months they charged him due to their error. Poor customer service and auto bank drafts are easy for them to steal your money and hard to get it back!!!

The majority of the gym is only accessible to clients who pay the ever increasingly higher prices…and the percentage of people that actually use it doesn’t make it worth the space being wasted. Take out the stretch zone that I NEVER see anyone go in. The other rooms barely ever get used either. Open those up to utilize the space to the majority of members.

Also, there are 3 and I mean 3 stretch mats in the grass area. I’ve asked about ordering more cause even those are torn up.

We pay higher and higher prices and this place is going down hill faster than Golds did. Stop increasing prices and giving us less and less.

The 3 sometimes 4 people manning the front desk spend more time on their phone then actually working, there’s one person cleaning and the new male manager here literally never has a kind or approachable attitude. Always on his phone or staying hidden.

And don’t let me start about the horrible music they have always played on loop that just keeps getting more and more annoying to have to listen to. Don’t come without your own headphones and music.

The gym is great. The only thing that drags it down drastically for me is how thin the benches are especially the bench press benches, they are so thin that I feel like I have to fight myself in order to stay on it. It’s very unpractical for me. Everything else is great but the benches definitely need to be wider. I am someone who has a hip replacement and having my hip pretty much off the bench because of how first of short it is. I’m 6’1 and I have to adjust myself all the time because it’s to short and unfit for tall people and people of a wider body. I find it hard to go above 225 on it. I feel like I might fall off the bench because of how thin it is. Weights are kind of everywhere and people never wipe down or clean up after themselves. The staff when I first got in also were extremely rude I didn’t know how the app worked and I asked the front desk and the lady working there refused service. People also have a staring problem here too. And the personal trainers are sometimes nasty. Ive seen one of the male trainers taking inappropriate pictures with the stall open whilst helping someone outside the men’s locker room. It’s genuinely disgusting.

I was told by two male employees that I could use my legacy membership here because I moved away from my home location. They said they let Fairview and Collinsville members use O'Fallon all the time (big dude and purple-hair dude). I go in today, and I get flagged by a different employee saying I have to upgrade from the $20 to the $34 plan to use this location. My husband had to upgrade, but we can't afford for me to. Truly awful service, no working with you and no room for life circumstances. They won't even change my home location because then they won't get more money. Either way, it comes down to screwing the customer over. No thanks, I'm not going to be taken advantage of anymore.

I do understand that prices have increased and I would have been ok with a price increase had a conversation taken place that due to rising costs we need to increase your membership a bit but the benefits you originally signed up for will remain. Clean gym with lots of equipment always available. Had Cody G. for a trainer and it was a 10/10 experience. I have an autoimmune disease that made working out a little complicated but from day 1 Cody did his research to make sure that he understood what I needed to avoid or be careful with. He understood I couldn’t push myself too hard and had a “no injury” first approach while still motivating me. He kept me accountable with workouts and nutrition every step of the way. Thanks to Cody I understand how to use gym machines and feel confident in my ability to workout by myself.
