I’ve been attending the Sunday community flows for a few months now and all the teachers have been consistently excellent! I particularly enjoy Mary’s more traditional approach— a weekly highlight I’d recommend for all levels! Thank you corepower 🙏🏼 🧘🏻♀️

It’s so filthy i almost threw up during class. Someone’s nail whole portion of gel had come off and was within inches of my face along with other questionable particles and hair from previous class. Mind you there was half hr or more in between. A girl came and mopped half of the room and never touched the area where the nail gel particle was. Also as a person with vast knowledge on human body, sports, fitness and health, i don’t understand the point of making the room 300°, besides that could cause health problems to people, injuries, lower performance, dehydration, heat exhaustion or stroke etc. i will finish my package that i purchased and will not go back. Nothing pleasant about this besides discomfort, exhaustion and body odor. I could achieve and perform so much better if i wasn’t fighting for my breath and life. Ive practiced yoga my entire life including intense like ashtanga etc, but i always felt better afterwards and everyday. With this i always feel like i am dying from heat exhaustion and all Ive done is a bunch of warrior poses and chatarangas, mind you before i was doing double pushup chatarangas but now i can’t cuz i cant breathe from heat and humidity which in yoga breathing is crucial. Yogis already generate a lot of heat during flows, no need for hot air being blown in our faces, Ive been in unheated room and the windows started dripping just from body heat from everyone working so hard. And Jesus i got a headache today cuz your instructor does not believe in deodorant, in 300°.

Pre or post-covid world, it is very odd that this fitness & health facility does not offer easily accessible sanitizing wipes/sprays and proper paper towels or an equivalent, but only one small hand sanitizer bottle with kleenex in a studio that gets drenched in sweat.

Very conveniently located yoga studio. Unfortunately teacher quality is hit or miss.
When I finally found one I liked, it was replaced with a substitute who liked like she just learned the forms last week. She was reading pieces of paper and trying to figure out the forms while trying to teach.
Other studios have higher standards.
And if you are going to charge $27 for a 45 minutes class you should make sure the subs know what they are doing, or cancel or make it a community class which is what other studios do with trainees.
Also yes this studio locker rooms needs maintenance.

Fun place to practice. Fun place to work.
There are challenging aspects to every class offered. And helpful student and instructors wanting me to succeed when confronting those challenges.

I must say I’m rather disgusted at this location that used to be so beautiful . The locker rooms are absolutely hideous. Broken down and old, even hanging loose. Also , the new young clients walking in , not a kind word of hello or even excuse me’ … they just walk around you silently. It’s such an annoying vibe for a yoga studio . Some clients have most terrible etiquette walking into the studio where others are getting ready, talking loudly, laughing with chit chatter. It’s awful . I’ve been living in the area so I don’t want to try another studio . I’m just wondering if ALL corepower’s are the same. If this doesn’t change. I’m definitely looking for something of more quality and value. It’s just not worth it for me, when the place is filthy.

Just not great… very cookie cutter, the teachers are rude. CPY has gone down hill… do your self a favor and walk another block to Zen Yoga. Really disappointed… after pre-registering for a class I was turned away for being a min late to class with the teacher saying it was “full”… she was rude and didn’t offer to credit my class just turned me away. Will never go to Elena’s class or CPY again.

I have been attending CorePower for over a year now and 220+ classes later at studios throughout Chicago, NYC, and LA. Of all the classes I have taken and teachers I have had I can confidently say that CoreRestore with Tessa is one of my favorite classes. I believe I have been to over 20 of her CoreRestore classes at this point, and each of them have been wonderful.
I would recommend Tessa and the Bucktown location to anyone who is new to yoga or is experienced. I am moving out of the state and CorePower Bucktown is one of the things I will miss most about Chicago.

Aside from the parking debacles and locked out dilemmas mentioned in the other posts, I really enjoy the classes here. There are so many offered throughout the day, so I always find one that fits into my schedule. The classes feel challenging yet doable, they have storage lockers and showers, and apparel for sale. I’d recommend!

Absolutely hate this chain. We were late for 2 minutes and the door was already locked. On the door it said “code required”. No code was provided after sign up, no email, and this location never answers their phone. In the end, we got charged and wasn’t able to attend the session. What a ridiculous policy. Would never sign up to any of these corepower classes again.

I enjoy the classes and overall find the movement very strengthening. However, there is very little variation in the class types that are offered throughout the day and week. It would be nice if there were more C1, Restore, and other lower intensity classes that I could use to balance my strength building with stretching and recovery.

Horrible. $170 booting on my car for walking off the property. It’s a private property and they have hired some company to keep tabs on the area. And they just wanna make money. A cheap and predatory tactic. Be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watch out fellow yogis CorePower Yoga is engaging in deceptive billing practices! They have been wrongfully charging my wife's and my credit credit card even though our memberships should be frozen and/or canceled. We have been trying to reach someone to correct this billing error but no one is answering phones! --- Update: after series of emails a satisfactory workout was reached.

CorePower offers a friendly environment for my practice. Instructors greet me by name every time I enter the studio. I feel a great loyalty and closeness to the people at CPY-Bucktown. I have also seen significant results in weight loss, strength, toning, and overall health since making CorePower part of my daily routine. I have recommended membership to all of my friends and would extend that recommendation to everyone. CorePower keeps me fit, positive, strong, and empowered. 💪✊ Couldn’t go a week without it!

I've been a loyal member of CPY for over 3 years now & can admit that I am addicted to hot yinasa flow (with chill music & great teachers). I've been to 4 of their studios & love them all. Each one is a little different (size of studios, size of locker rooms, etc.) but the classes always remain pretty consistent.
What to try: Core Power Yoga 1 or 2 (2 for more advanced yogis) & for more cardio & weight-training, Yoga Sculpt (a great mix of yoga & strength)
Tips: They offer 1 week free & deals on 1st time memberships. Also, if you're a member you get discounts on workshops, boot camps & some stores in your local area.

Great place to explore hot yoga. They offer a variety of yoga classes for beginners to experts, of course all heated. The teachers are very encouraging and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and showers with high quality toiletries are available, but they can go quick at busy times. At this location, it is easy to park in the neighborhood or in the spots in front of the location.
