Phenomenal experience with these guys, they really get it. They customize all their programs for what you need individually. No BS. I’ve been training with Josh Romero with Danny Gustin Fitness for almost a year. While my initial goal was weight loss, my focus has completely shifted towards a healthy body and mind. Weight is just a number. Josh has helped me limit pain in my neck, back, and shoulder that I was so used to, I barely recognized they were a part of me. I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time. Danny Gustin Fitness is the best Personal team in all of Naperville. I have been training with Josh Romero for the past two months as I have been getting prepared for an operation on my back. Josh is awesome and always keeps training interesting and up beat. Josh is always looking for different options. As well Josh is always listening and is very observant if you are struggling or a certain exercise is painful. Josh is always tracking your progress with scans and your incremental lifting increases. Josh also had me use their compression boots which helped with my leg pain. Look no further than Danny Gustin Fitness for your personal training needs. The trainers here are on another level. I am younger than a lot of the clientele at this location, yet I have never been in better shapes or had my confidence boosted to this degree. He uses his vast knowledge of the body to consult with you to develop the perfect training program for your goals, all while keeping in mind any restrictions or injuries that may need special focus or avoidance. Late last year, I was searching for best personal training program in the Naperville area and finalized on the best option of going with Danny Fitness. What they offer is the best in the industry and much more affordable than expensive fitness gyms. After understanding my needs, Danny paired me with Ryan and it was an absolute pleasure to work with him. We had extensive session to understand my goals which included some corrective therapy with glutes and lower back pain as well as weak knees. I also mentioned my goals around compound movements like deadlifts and squats. Over the course of 10 sessions all my issues with glutes, knee and lower back were sorted and post that we focused on strength training and learning the correct form so I can continue independently in my fitness journey. Ryan is a genius who understands everything about human anatomy and musculoskeletal and helped relieve issues I was struggling with for 7 years over 20 sessions in total. He has the entire plan figured out and does thorough discussion to ensure client's goals are met. I hit many of my PRs working with him and gave me lot more confidence to do movements like squats. I’ve kept a tight watch on my caloric intake and exercise habits for decades… and it worked! until recently…. Aging caused metabolic shifts and physical limitations…. I started with Danny's fitness 16 months ago. My goal was to engage in a workout program appropriate for my age, and to build strength without aggravating past injuries or creating new issues. I was paired with Josh, who has been an extraordinary trainer for me. He has shown a lot of patience and creativity as we explored countless ways to engage muscle groups. He has continually asked for feedback on everything we have tried, and adjusted the program accordingly. Josh has shown great balance pushing me hard to work through challenging workouts, yet being careful to not continue with exercises that pose risks to areas like knees, shoulders and hips. He has been continually positive, and no two workout sessions have ever been the same.

Danny has also engaged me on several occasions to make sure the program is working right, and to collect general feedback. He shows he is chiefly interested in his clients and to make sure people are getting what they seek.

The gym itself is immaculate and well organized. The owner, Mike, is interactive and friendly with us. Everyone in the gym seems to respect each other.

I really enjoy training with Josh. He is energetic and it is obvious he loves what he does. I have been out of personal training for many years and missed the experience of one on one training. I also needed guidance on how to build muscle and strength again, as weight loss is not really a big concern (or need) of mine. I told Josh about my past kettlebell and dead lifting experience and while he is intent on helping me reach my goals in those areas again, he has also shown me other ways to gain muscle and strength that I haven't ever tried before. I’ve been working with Josh for a couple months now. I’m in my early 60’s and my overall attitude in life is “I’m not done yet”. There is a lot of life yet to be lived. When I noticed the inevitable decline in stability and strength coming on, I knew it was time to take action. I never really worked out with weight machines in a gym before. Josh is awesome. In 2016 I ended up at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota because I suffered debilitating pain that would often times land me in the ER. I was diagnosed with SI-Joint Dysfunction. I saw many professionals after that diagnosis which put me in setbacks, back in bed! I wasn't sure if I'd ever be the active person I once was and when I heard that you had to 'exercise' your way out of pain, it only made me nervous due to the negative experiences I had in the past. When I reached a milestone and turned 60, I knew I didn't want to waste away another decade of my life in chronic pain like I experienced in my 50's. My goal was to join a gym with my husband and be stronger at 61 than I had been in a long time. We looked at other gyms and checked out the YMCA but weren't interested in what we were seeing. One day, we decided to check out Anytime Fitness on 75th street and drove over without an appointment. Mike, the owner, was sitting at his desk and saw us outside. He brought us in and we sat with him to discuss our goals. I was struck by his down to earth personality and how beautiful and spotless this gym was. I knew right away this was the right place, the atmosphere was perfect, not loud and busy like the other places we checked out. We signed on for 6 months to see how things would go. At first I was apprehensive about training and started slowly on my own. The staff was helpful with any questions I had, especially Nico who graciously gave me his time even though I wasn't in training. Eventually, I knew that signing up for personal training was a must so I could advance and I felt ready for that. Nico is my trainer and has done a fantastic job in helping me achieve my goals. He started very slowly, I never ended up in a setback like in the past. In fact, I loved training SO much that I found myself eager to get back to the gym as I was seeing results. I'm getting stronger every day and have learned SO much. You can't put a price tag on your health. I'm now able to take 2 mile walks, run around with my grandsons who reside with me AND will be taking a four mile walk from Danada in Wheaton to Herrick Lake! You won't be able to match the excellent customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff and incredible atmosphere that you'll find right here. My husband and I signed up for another year which says it all!

I first came to Danny complaining about my ankles and just general instabilities/ balance issues. He did a thorough evaluation at our initial consultation before setting me up with Ryan.

It was very intimidating at first because I had never belonged to any gym or done any strength training. From day one, I knew I was in good hands. Ryan is very personable, detailed oriented, and observant. With my limited knowledge of training in general, my feedback/comments/ concerns usually land somewhere between “that feels weird” or “my left shoulder hurts today.” Somehow he would be able to either point out what should be modified or offer an alternative that’s more suitable for me. With time, not only have I gotten stronger but always more aware of the mechanics of the body.

If you’re looking for personal training that’s tailored to your goals, needs, and even your mood on a given day, this is the right place.

The gym, equipment, and bathrooms are always spotless. I’m typically at the gym twice a week for an hour each. There’s never been a day that I did not see Mike cleaning and vacuuming multiple times.

Scheduling is extremely easy and flexible which helps me stick to the routine.

Everyone, including the staff and other members, is always friendly and courteous. There’s plenty of space and equipment available so people are never on top of each other or waiting too long to use something.

After almost a year, I’m now working towards my first marathon ever. I never thought that was a possibility for me (one year ago, I could sprain my ankle once every other month). I’m surprised by my own growth, which I would not have discovered without this gym and the amazing team.

If you’re on the fence about committing, just go for it already.

I have been working with Danny Gustin for over a year now. I reached out to him on a recommendation of a very close friend who found his website after searching for a while.

The reason was ongoing low back pain due to ruptured disc issues. I had gone through one after another major pain episodes, and wanted to work with a functional fitness expert who not only helps me trim fat but also improve my strength and range of motion. And all this while ensuring that none of this effort leads to recurring episodes of pain preventing me from continuing my workouts or pushing me into inactivity and that vicious cycle. This has not been easy in the past.

Danny approached the matter very patiently, methodically and asked me a lot of questions before he initiated the program. He is intentional and targeted in his approach. As he learnt more about my body and what causes pain, he continued to tweak his approach. At times it meant taking a step back to get ahead later...but it has been worth it.

Working with him I never feel pushed - only challenged. He emphasizes that I listen to my body and tell him if something does not feel right as he adds new exercises or resistance or range of motion. He continues to research more on any issues I experience and come back with better ideas and approaches. I value this approach very much.

Since working with him as my personal trainer, I have lost about 14 pounds and kept it off, I have trimmed down, feel more agile, coordinated and balanced. The pain bouts do happen but the occurrences have reduced, and so have the recovery time.

This is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to. I’ve tried out two other gyms before coming here. I’ve been coming to this gym for almost 5 months. The major reason for coming here consistently is because they have outstanding personal trainers.

My trainer Josh has been wonderful. He understands my goals and weaknesses and modifies the workouts accordingly. I have improved my strength and lost weight due to his instructions. He ensures that your workout form is right to safely exercise. I haven't experienced any workout injuries. He is cordial and makes working out fun. At times I never know how that one hour of training flies by. My trainer Josh holds me accountable. There are times I want to give up and think to myself that I can’t do certain exercises. But he has been encouraging and motivating me to become stronger and better. I'm thankful and lucky to have him as my trainer.

Personal trainer Danny has also played a key role in my workout regime. He always ensures that everything is going well with my workout. He even took his time out to consult me regarding my health problems, which arose this month. He went over the possible causes and solutions to my problem. His advice has directed me to the right path. Ever since then, I've been feeling a bit better. I sincerely appreciate his help and concerns.

I highly recommend personal training with Danny Gustin Fitness. I've been working with Ejay for 2 months and I'm getting stronger and seeing great progress towards my goals. But for me, the real ultimate victory here is 1) that I've been consistently showing up and 2) I'm growing in confidence and mental toughness. Dan's fitness business is top notch. From the initial consultation through to my final workout two months later, everything was great. I began training for and competing in triathlons after I retired and had to endure more than a few age-related injuries. Finally past the injuries, I needed to get serious about not only stopping the loss of strength, another age specific issue, but actually building strength. Dan was recommended by my chiropractor (Dr. Brady McDaniel). Dan spent hours with me during the initial consultation to ensure that he understood my objectives for strength training and convinced me that he was able to help me meet my objectives. He assigned one his trainers, Orlando Higginbottom, to work me for the two months needed to get me up to speed.

Orlando was perfect for me. He's a great listener, an articulate communicator, and very patient, answering all my never-ending questions. On the few occasions where he didn’t know the answer, he did the research and provided the answer at the next training session. He knows his discipline well and taught me what I needed to eventually continue strength training on my own. Most importantly, Orlando is a polite, humble guy with an easy-going personality yet still very goal driven. He understood how to carefully introduce a senior guy to weightlifting while preventing injury.

In the end, after my three workouts per week for two months, I had started to add some strength and have been able to continue with the workout plan that Orlando created for me. I’ll continue to work on occasion with Orlando to refresh the workouts and gain additional training knowledge.

I reached out to Danny based solely on the reviews and he has not disappointed. I started my fitness/health journey around April 2022 and have been consistently working out with my trainer Ryan 3 days a week.

First off, the first phone call I had with Danny was great. He was incredibly receptive and super easy to talk to. He managed to get the gist of my goals/personality really quickly and set me up with his newly hired trainer, Ryan. Ryan has been absolutely amazing. I am newer to the weight lifting scene so it was a bit intimidating for me and Ryan has helped me surprise myself with how strong I actually am. Every time I workout with Ryan, I am always improving and he is always finding new ways to torture me (kidding, it's always a routine that challenges me, yet he knows I can do). I think most of the time when we are working out we are either talking about netflix shows, cracking jokes, or talking about daily life. When we aren't joking around, they've been really good people to vent to about work/family/health stuff. I truly consider them to be good friends.

Secondly, the atmosphere at this anytime fitness is amazing. I don't think I've ever walked into a gym and actually felt comfortable. They are incredibly friendly and Mike is always greeting me by name. The staff keeps the place super clean and organized.

Everyone should give Danny and his team a chance if they are looking to start their fitness journey. I used to be intimidated by the gym, but that has gone away after starting with Ryan and I look forward to working out (unless I have to do Bulgarian split squats). I seriously can't say enough great things about them.

Following rotator-cuff surgery, and completing 8+ months of PT/recovery, I was ready to graduate from therapy with full range of motion and some strength back, but I didn't yet feel ready for competitive tennis or painting at home. My physical therapist referred me to Danny for targeted strength training and for his specialty in corrective mechanics. After completing a long period of specialized physical therapy, I was feeling okay but much weaker than prior. To strengthen my whole body, I needed to start heavier weight training but wanted to make sure to do it safely, so I decided to get a personal trainer to help watch my form and make sure my workout is balanced across all muscles of the body and with appropriate load. I'm so glad I came across Danny Gustin Fitness! After being impressed with the information on his website, I contacted Danny, and he set me up with Nico, one of Danny's team members, who I also can’t say enough good things about! While many other personal trainers are rumored to have a "no pain no gain" approach (which my physical therapist said actually causes injuries that keep her in business), the ones at Danny Gustin Fitness all understand the importance of safety and make sure to give you exercises that are appropriately challenging and still healthy. Instead of just pushing you according to his own plan, Nico always asks for your feedback and adjusts accordingly. This also makes working out a lot more enjoyable because you don't have to push through actual bad pain. You only have the appropriate good kind of soreness that helps your muscles grow healthily. Nico is also a very kind person, which makes the training sessions even more pleasant and enjoyable. And, being in the gym while other clients also had their sessions, I could see that the other trainers on Danny's team are awesome too! And Danny, as their manager, still keeps an eye out and makes sure that you are getting the very best training. A couple months into my training, he checked in on my progress and verified Nico's training plans. Danny Gustin Fitness is a truly fantastic place!

I am just over a month into training with Danny and couldn’t be happier. I worked out regularly prior to starting training and felt I was in decent shape. I was amazed at how quickly he zeroed in on my areas of weakness (which are areas that I didn’t feel were an issue until he had me do exercises that isolate specific muscles and don’t allow you to “cheat”). After a month I feel a noticeable difference in those areas and feel better overall. His knowledge of anatomy is incredible and he does a thorough job of explaining what you are doing, why he is having you do it, and what to expect.

During the pandemic shelter in place I was able to continue my PT sessions with Danny Gustin virtually. I was amazed at how well it went in the areas concerning technology & personal exercise results. Dan’s diversified fitness knowledge accomplished some creativity workouts for me with the limited equipment I had to offer. During this 10 week period Dan provided me with workouts I would have never known existed on my own, helped me stay focused, motivated & accountable. The other benefits were I had something to look forward to each week & stayed on track with my fitness program & goals. I came to Danny in hopes of finding relief from pain in my hips and lower back. As a therapist, I sit all day which is something I was not used to previous to working in my field. I was also uncomfortable being in a gym due to anxiety. I really appreciated that Danny would listen to my struggles and take the time to research specific things that would help me. During our training he would send me education material like Decompression for sciatica & lower back pain, core exercises, and how to treat tight glutes. He taught me how to release myofasical using a lacrosse ball and practical ways I could stretch my body in between sessions. Since I was new to a specific exercise routine, Danny was extremely helpful in providing me with signs that I am overtraining so I did not further hurt myself. Training with Danny taught me a lot about where my imbalances were, how to do an exercise in the correct form, how to have correct posture. His knowledge and encouragement not only helped me become more comfortable in the gym but also helped me with pain management. I met Danny about 18 months ago. I had been having significant neck pain for months, which was not solved by several physical therapy sessions, and had occasional major back spasms related to a compression fracture in my L-2 vertebrae (car accident 25 years ago) which rendered me incapable of working or doing much of anything for days at a time. I weighed 223 lbs and had about 27% body fat.

Danny shared various exercises and stretches with me, focusing on muscle groups contributing to my pain as well as many core exercises and some major muscle groups to rebuild physique. He pays close attention to detail to help prevent excess strain and injury. He is great at adapting exercises due to physical limitations, and then guiding continuing development.

After a couple months of working with Danny twice a week, my neck no longer hurt. After About a year, I was down to about 207 lbs and 20% body fat, feeling much stronger, and looking almost fit.

When Covid started, Danny and I began remote workouts via FaceTime. He adapted exercises to the minimal equipment I had at home, and presented several creative body weight exercises to challenge the muscle groups I want to develop more. Now, after nearly another six months, I weigh 203 lbs and am at 15% body fat. My skeletal muscle mass has increased over 6 lbs in 5 months. And, I’ve never had a back spasm in the past 18 months!

Danny is an excellent personal trainer. Very knowledgeable, adaptive, careful, resourceful, and just a nice guy to boot. It’s time for me to buy some smaller pants again.

I first connected with Danny when I was looking for a trainer for two of my teens. Danny responded to my request for more information immediately and was very professional and engaging. He suggested we meet with his associate Joe, who had experience working with teens and young athletes. My teens and I went to the gym to meet with Danny and Joe and we were immediately impressed. Danny and Joe were very enthusiastic and nice and made the kids feel excited about fitness. Joe has been an incredibly good fit for my kids, as he strikes the right balance between being a mentor and challenging the kids to reach their fitness goals. He is a former youth athlete himself and has a good understanding of the fitness needs of teens/athletes and (importantly) also how to improve fitness safely! Joe also has a very caring approach to working with kids, which appealed very much to one of my teens who was struggling with weight issues. Both Danny and Joe are incredibly accessible by phone and text, and both called several times to ensure that were happy with the services they were providing. I also want to say that the gym where they train clients (Anytime Fitness off of 75th in Naperville) is immaculate. Every time I was there, the owner, Mike, was cleaning! After having no luck consulting different trainers and methods, I was initially skeptical but wanted to give it a try and I am gratified I did. After my first consultation I knew Danny was the right and knowledgeable person to help me solve my situation.

I started with no exercise experience and confidence. Was always intimidated by gym machines because I never knew how to use them. Training with Danny taught me a lot about correct exercise form, correct posture, encouraged me to exercise, improved my endurance, helped me with pain management and most importantly I now have a whole new perspective towards exercise.

Danny motivates and helps set realistic goals and expectations. He is committed to your progress and does extensive research to chase solutions to your problem. Danny is also great with follow up. He makes sure you carry conscious attitude towards exercise outside of gym too. He has a great positive vibe that makes you want to go to gym just to train with him. I am extremely happy with my results and I am glad I met nice person like Danny.

I have not really had any personal trainers before, but you do not need to have had that experience to know that Danny cares about you as an individual and your ability to live your life as fully as possible. He focuses on increasing your core strength and improving your weak areas. He listens to what you have to say and modifies activities to your abilities. He pushes you when he sees you're ready (even if you don't think you can.... you can!!)
He inspires you to keep on working!

I was initially looking to train with Danny on the suggestion of my cousin, but our availability didn't match up so Danny paired me up one of the trainers who works for him, Ben.
Ben and Danny both worked together to make sure i was comfortable with the transition.
Before my training, I injured my left ankle from playing soccer and i was limping for 3 months. My goal was to heal my injury fast and make my leg muscles strong so i could play soccer again.
At the beginning of my training i could barely stand on my left foot. Ben, was so patient with me during our training (coz I was not a big fan of working out) and on the second week of my training, the pain on my injury has lessened and there was a big improvement with my ankle mobility. Now, i i don't feel any discomfort from my injury.
I highly recommend these two guys if you are looking for a trainer.

I walked into Anytime Fitness ready to get back into a fitness routine, but very nervous about the whole process and knowing very little about where to even start. I was dealing with a Diastasis Rectus abdominus (after 3 kids and 2 c-sections) and had to be careful about which exercises I was able to do. I week or two into my membership, I started working with trainer Danny and immediately felt more at ease. Danny started with an evaluation to see where I was at physically and what I was able to do or not do, and then he developed a plan/goals from there. I have been meeting with him twice a week, and also going on my own 1-2 days a week, and could not be more pleased with the results. Danny has held me accountable to what my goals are and has tailored each workout to exactly what I need. He has pushed me to do more than I ever thought I could do without pushing too far. He has made this a much more enjoyable process and I have learned so much working with him. I look forward to each of our training sessions and hearing about progress that has been made. I would 100% recommend him and his training!!!

I've been going to Danny for a couple of months to reduce aches and pains and to improve my overall flexibility. I am a weekend warrior whose injured myself in the past, so I have experience with visits to orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, pt's, and massage therapists. I can without hesitation highly recommend Danny. I'm learning stretching and strengthening techniques which will allow me to maintain my health on my own and break the cycle of re injuring myself. Not something the other disciplines were able to provide me. He's well organized and passionate about his craft so if you are looking for improved health check him out!

I have been lucky client of Danny’s for over one year .
Personal training is a commitment staying fit is a life long process ; it can be difficult to stay on track
Danny will asess what your fitness goals are and he continues to evaluate these goals because they often change. He has a unique ability to assess and prescribe correct exercise regimes to address your issues. He will modify movements to ensure that you are gaining maximum benefit to see results. He constantly reviews and strategizes with his clients to stay on track and follows up with messages , emails that list the exercise regimes that work for you. He includes easy to follow links to instructional videos.
My fitness concerns involved improving posture, back strength , and functional exercises to improve balance and stability to help prevent falls ( osteoporosis )and also (had... now SO IMPROVED!) poor posture.
I am still working on that first pull up, BUT I have clear visible improvement in my posture , back strength and truly feel better at the end of each day.

DANNY GUSTIN IS AN ABSOLUTE TREASURE !
When I retired I knew I needed to exercise but was initially extremely reluctant to work with a personal trainer. To my great amazement,
within less than 6 months after starting with Danny he "trained" me to do something I had NEVER in my whole life been able to do - I jogged for over a mile ! and I had just turned 62 the week before ! WHAT A THRILL for me !! That was over five years ago !

Thinking the need to exercise at my age was simply a way of warding off the seemingly inevitable degenerative issues of aging, I have learned that I've gone far beyond that with my work outs - I've developed more muscle tone and endurance and flexibility than probably ever before in my life.
Besides making work outs so enjoyable [by being such a fun-loving, charming guy], Danny's unbelievable expertise and seemingly infinite patience give me the confidence to continue working out with him. He is always alert to any discomfort that may arise during an exercise that may be more than mere "fatigue" and might need attention: whether to simply adjust an angle or modify a procedure; or possibly take a break to warm up or re-activate certain muscles before continuing; or perhaps even to resort to alternate options for exercise. He has often gone out of his way to research information and methods that have helped me with many physical issues including pain management.

Danny is truly a remarkable personal trainer.

On a rainy October morning, 2 years ago, I met Danny. I remember this day clearly as I was terrified to meet with a trainer; I had no self confidence, mainly because I was at my heaviest.

2 years have passed and I can proudly say that I have kept my 30 lbs weight loss and gained all the confidence back! It only took 6 months working out with Danny to see the 30 extra pounds melting off my body !

Danny has been instrumental to my success. He was so patient, considerate and compassionate with me, pushing me everyday to do my best.

To this day I still train with Danny; he keeps me focus and challenge me with different workouts that I can do at Anytime Fitness when I go by myself.
