Wild! This location closed on July 27th. 3 months after I got the membership. Not to add the 55$ membership fee you just took 2 months ago. They're trying to charge me 25$ to cancel. Or pay 30$ for the month. Now they're trying to charge me both! because I paid neither. It's crazy for you to think a few weeks notice is cool for the gym closing. Tell everyone they can just drive 30mins to a different gym! And try to charge us if we say no we'd rather cancel and find a place closer. You got to be out of your mind!

I joined online. I came to work out at 6:22PM to find out this location close at 7PM on Sunday not 8 as the other locations, so I said to myself I’ll just go in and get my access tags……Well I waited til 6:34PM and no one has come up to acknowledge me yet! Additionally there are signs showing that this location will be closing July 27@2PM. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get my tags somewhere else. Now at 6:38 after I was spotted taking photos, someone came up to tell me what the sign states. Why not be welcoming and professional when someone first walks in. I saw her looking at me stand at the counter for 10mins. With employees like this, all will be closing.

I used to like this gym. Great layout, spacious and excellent variety of machines. I had no complaints. Problem: they reconfigured the parking lot due to this STUPID placement of a truck stop construction and now they're closing, displacing hundreds of members! LA FITNESS is a horrible company for this!!! I had to cancel my membership after 12 years for the tight spaced planet fitness ☹️

Disrespectfully run gym. LA Fit/Esporta is a discount gym, I get it, but this particular location takes it too far. Weights are old and in disrepair. They are strewn about dangerously by meatheads who don’t know gym etiquette. I like that they have pool, jacuzzi and Zumba/ workout classes with no additional cost. They have basketball courts and other small courts that you can practice sports. They have a lot of equipments. Locker rooms. Nice staff. The things that may not be as good is that the equipments are probably not the newest on the market. You have to bring your own cleaning cloth with a spray to clean the machine you use. No life guards watching the pool. Bathrooms are small and crowded compared how big the gym is and the amount of people.

But, It is a lower cost gym, so I would say it’s decent for the price you pay. If you sign up for the membership you can also take 2 other people to workout with you as guests.

This is the worst LA fitness I’ve ever been to. Weights are everywhere. Basketball courts were closed with no explanation. Free weights everywhere. Even the vending machines were out of service. The carpets outdated. Machines are outdated. Parking lot has been completely downsized due to weird placement of a future gas station which causes people to create new spaces. The police then have the nerve to ticket people in such a small lot. It’s disgraceful that this place is still open. Will be going to planet fitness

The place have a lot of potential and variety in weights, the only thing is that everything is unorganized!!
The dumbell area trying to find the right weight your looking for is a nightmare, ther are all over the place all the time. This place really need towels for the members to be able to clean the sweat of the equipment or themself, is disgusting when you're trying to use a piece of equipment and is dripping in sweat. The thing is that they only offer paper towels and a lot of the times they run out of them and plus is not enough to clean the sweat because they rip , the're to thin.

Canceling my membership. The parking has gotten extremely ridiculous, with there not being enough parking spaces, which causes people to park in ridiculous areas around the gym, blocking exit ways, which is a hazard. Then to make it even worse, they allow people to blast their own personal speakers, and I use the word personal loosely, more like amplifiers, to blast music throughout the whole gym. It’s ridiculous to the point , I can’t even listen to my own music in my headphones. This gym is not worth it. The staff doesn’t care to enforce policy, it’s very unclean, and the machines are outdated. Going back to planet fitness

I've been a Member since they closed Ballys. The classes are fantastic! The sauna is always functional! Over the past three years, the cleanliness of the gym's interior and exterior has declined- Yet I'm not sure if that is a gym concern or the establishment's patrons. Either way, someone in management should address this.

If you are looking for clean aquatic activities you may want to find another facility. This is very upsetting that after being a member of LaFitness for over 15years Esporta fitness has taken over the facility and now far too often I find the pool or spa has signs up like this "closed until further notice" for periods longer than any worker can tell you when it will reopen. It so disappointing! And then when your pool/spa is reopened after cleaning and still looks like the attached photos it's time to call corporate& complain. In addition to the cleaning issues at ESPORTA for the last 3weeks the water in the spa has been COLD! So much for the "hot tub" experience after a long days work. They should find a new and reliable pool/spa contractor at ESPORTA.

I love Esporta! Donna, our Silver Sneakers Instructor is "tops;" (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). I just started participating in the Zumba class this past Tuesday, 9-6-22. I really enjoyed that class too. What an exciting workout. If my memory serves me correctly, Gloria is the name of the Zumba Instructor. She too, is a beautiful soul at what she does. Esporta, along with its entire staff are jewels to our Lansing community.

The men here are weird and make a lot of women that come here uncomfortable, they never let women just workout in peace. They act like men that just got out of jail and haven’t seen a woman in years. Good facility, I didn't give 5 stars because they are not in the same class with amenities offered.
They have several facilities within a 20 mile radius which is good for group class varieties!
This place truly needs to be updated and ESporta Fitness should seriously make this popular location into a SIGNATURE

Girl at the front was rude and didn’t even do her job. I walked in to cancel my membership and I had to repeat my number 4 times since she wasn’t paying attention. I went in around 4pm. She answered the phone and was rude to another customer asking to cancel their membership. So, she claim she canceled it. But now, here I am seeing a charge for another month of membership. So clearly she didn’t cancel it immediately like she stated! I also never got the email she claim I would’ve gotten if she canceled it.

I will be disputing this charge, now LA has to pay a chargeback fee on top of that due to her rudeness and negligence.

So far so good. Just got out of rehab therapy for a Left Knee Replacement. Want to continue to return to form and keep doing my rehabilitation with a new membership . But my 1st. Impression established that, Attention to the Locker Room (including restroom and showers)- plus other spot area's in the establishment needs. Are larger than the number of employees needed to be on duty to keep up with that need. A member of Management needs to do a "walk around" at least every hour to see what the Members see. I DO NOT understand how this gym does not provide cleaning items in certain locations. It doesn't take much to get something to hold disinfectant sprays and paper towels in certain locations like your competitors. It causes paper towels to be everywhere on the floor, people walking around with the disinfecting spray bottles, leaving others without any to use. So some people are able to clean because they are carrying their own spray bottles while others aren't. Youur competitors have a garbage can that holds the spray bottles, so people can grab paper towel with spray and put it back, super simple An instal like this can help with cleanliness for your staff and for gym users. Everything else is ok ( not the best) but this is a huge disappointment!!!

I'm a travel technician so I was look for somewhere to work out in different town. I found LA to be a good fit for that reason. Signed up and staff was great. I found out that a lot of people in this gym due not re rack there weight for some reason, weight are all over the gym and you have to look for a set almost ever time. That is the big problem I find at this gym.

This gym was not the “serious” gym I was looking for. The energy in this gym was more about socializing and not about exercising. I called in advance to schedule for a tour and talk about a membership. When I got there the person I was set up to speak with was already seeing someone else. I politely waited on the side not long before being harassed by a gym member insisting that I MUST workout with him and I MUST train him? His intentions were friendly but it was alittle bit much for me. I’m used to a serious environment where people mind their business and come to get their workouts in and are serious about their fitness. I peeped the floor meanwhile I waited only to see loud gatherings of people socializing and being disruptive. To each his own but this is not the environment or the energy I was looking for. I darted out of there after 5 minutes. Nope can’t do it
