When you go to sign up for a membership everyone is so helpful but the minute you want to cancel, they send you through all kinds of hoops and hurdles there is never an operations manger in to cancel the membership. The OM was over 30 minutes late back from lunch by the time I left. Don’t sign up for a membership with this place. They steal your money and make it almost impossible to cancel your membership.

I'm a member. You walk in, and most of the time you don't get a hello. They're just talking amongst each other. They play THEIR music too high at times where we can't even hear our own devices with headphones! I asked once if they could lower, they said they couldn't! i can go on and on. They don’t take good care of their equipment. Machines have been broke for long time. They don’t check often and fix.

This gym has a lot to offer. Weights, cardio machines, classes, basketball course, swim lanes, sauna. However I have to rate this with 2 stars due to how gross the place is. (I'm floored with how many reviews say the place is clean) Lack of paper towels for days on multiple occasions. Locker rooms need a deep clean.

The General manager Doug really went above and beyond to set me and my membership back up. He dug into his resources personally to get me back started. I was out of the gym for 11 months and it was finally time to get back to it. I really adored this particular gym. It’s 13 minutes away and it was really what I needed. The membership is a very reasonable price for the amenities and the staff is nice. That being said it's disgusting. Most of the gym is carpeted. The carpet is worn in many places. The women's showers are really dirty. Every part of it has stains, the curtain the floor and the walls. The grout is stained and discolored. There's hard water build up, and the curtain rods are completely rusted. I didn't want to take pictures of the showers obviously but it's dirty enough that I genuinely think it has never been cleaned. Like maybe someone occasionally sprays lysol but that's it.

The pool and hot tub have like a line of grime along the side.

In most gyms the cleaning supplies are very visible and all over the gym. Here they feel almost like hidden. As far as I could see they were only along the walls so in the middle of the work out floor no one cleans their machines.

It's ok as long as you clean your machine before use and never shower there.

One of the best gyms I've been to in a long time. I first came here wanting to reach my fitness goals but have received so much more. When I came in the first time, David helped me get started. He walked me through the memberships they had and helped me choose the best one for my son and I. Ever since then, David has been one of my biggest supporters in my fitness journey. Won’t let you cancel till you come in person between 9-5 M-F. So crowded unable to use equipment nor find parking spots. Shower and locker rooms are always dirty. It's decent for what it is. I find it weird that the owner originally had this place opened at 10pm on Fridays but I literally just saw today they clearly changed it so a "very select few" are allowed to work out there until 11pm as of 02/03/2023. Keep in mind this person I saw post working out there past the 9pm close time is not even on staff even worse they're caught in a severe mcdojo situation. Again, person who is training them, is not on staff and is a member there as well getting special privileges. And the reason why I bring this up is because of how sudden it was and how it caught many members and myself off guard when they would come around and say closing and even their Google maps link had said 10pm close. Crazy this place is demanding respect from its members when it's barely respecting the members themselves. And the reviews about the bathrooms are spot on its horrendously disgusting and the only thing of value here is the pool and the punching bags which I use often. However don't even bother coming here if you're not looking for those and are just opting to lift. Save yourself some money and time don't bother coming here in the meantime this place will do until I find somewhere better.

it seemed like the cleaning guy vacuuming was just following me everywhere. first i was on the hack squat machine and he was just vacuuming all around that machine as i was using it, i felt uncomfortable so i left to do leg extensions and as i’m resting between sets, drinking water, he comes again and starts vacuuming and cleaning the machine. i told him i was still using it and he says “i know i’m just vacuuming” like there was no way for me to continue my sets because of him. i just went to restroom to change so i could head out and there was a whole man in the women’s locker room fixing a stall door. there’s girls who have to change and use the toilet and you can clearly see through the stalls

Worst experience ever. Signed up for a 3 day pass that they would not honor. GSM started in on politics saying if we had a different governor they could honor the 3 day pass because of capacity. I am a member at Lifetime and no 60% capacity issues there. I explained that I signed up for a 3 day pass and that's what I should get. He said 1 day pass, come back and sign up and then if after 3 days we can get our money back if we don't like it. Very deceptive and absolutely did not care what their website offered. Using this Gym from past 4 months with LA fitness membership. Worst maintenance and no cleaning. Locker rooms are stinking smell. No words about restrooms. Weights left all over the gym and people block machines by engaging with phone. Small groups assembles and blocks the way to machines. Fitness International HAS NO FULL TIME ACTIVE LISTINGS OF FEMALE TRAINERS on their LA Fitness OR Esporta Fitness websites.

It is skeptical that all of the locations I called have NO SCHEDULE or point of reference. DISAPPOINTED IN THE LACK OF REPRESENTATION.

Glad I never signed up for more than 4 months of training and did not upgrade (the old personal training manager said my chest size OUT LOUD when he measured me/ and his job is commission based so I dodged a bullet). Measurements matter to an extent for women but it's more about BODY SHAPE and some men at this gym don't seem to understand that.

This company also doesn't take claims seriously. Privately owned company + capitalistic society= disillusioned customers.

Fitness International is going to keep pushing people out of the door while they refuse to change.
It's 2022! We survived a pandemic, suck up the losses. Stop underpaying people and leaving unsupportive management in the same position.

This gym use to be good before it was esporta. Cramming equipment together, the staff sits around and weights are always laying around. Not to mention the wave of high schoolers who sit on the equipment on phones. They have some nice new equipment, but they have 2 stations only for deadlifting and squatting, which isn’t nearly enough. So you pretty much have to wait for the bodybuilders to be done before you can use them.

My husband Dave and I went to your Oswego, Il location around noon and we were ignored by two employees. Yes it is true as one off and on phone working and had customers checking in, then another empmoyee came into the front desk area and plants himself at the counter speaking with someone. Whst is the problem with this? The busy gentleman could have easily said he would be right with us and at least ackbowledge we were standing waiting for assistance. the man with the visitor walked litterly right past us and went to the younger person. How do we feel about this? We feel we were discriminated against as we are senior citizens, and one of us has a noticable breathing problem so discrminated againt for that. When we finally gave up on our 5 minute wait we decided we would just walk out, feeling like a ghost. So before we went out we approached the busy young man and said we were leaving and that your company has lost customers and that the service or lack of was horrible.. So what was your employees response to our statemenet of being ignored, he said you could have raised your hand.....What, where is the welcoming "Welcome potential new custoner. i or my coworker will be right with you. these guys missed the mark on service. I would be ashamed if my this was my
empkoueed who treated peopne with such disrespect.

Having new equipment is nice, except when you start cramming them all together where you can't even move because you're right next to someone. They recently added new squat/deadlift platforms, which are alright, but they're so close together you can't even grab a plate without being in the other persons way. This place has the worst staff of any gym I have ever been to. The gym itself is fine I guess, not super clean but a lot of amenities like boxing bags in one of the studio rooms. The staff make me not want to come here though. Always rude or apathetic. Once asked for a clean spray bottle to sanitize equipment after using and the guy told me to clean it myself.

Edit: If you try to cancel you apparently need to talk to the operations manager. If you don’t they will continue to charge you without any explanation. But if you go there to cancel your membership (can’t do it over the phone) they will just tell you “ok it is cancelled” when it isn’t. The staff is not trained at all. And the operations manager takes no personal responsibility.

I went into the gym yesterday and was lifting weights. I was asked to move because the area I was using was for personal trainers only. When I responded that I paid a monthly membership to be there the employee answered in a very arrogant tone and I quote “ Well he pays more”. I understand that there are rules but at least have a descent way to talk to your customers. He made me feel like I was not valued because I was not paying more money. It goes without saying that I will be cancelling my membership. I came in with a Navy recruiter, and the staff QUESTIONED their military status and accused them of faking it, while in uniform. Not only did they accuse them of faking their status, they questioned my membership status when 2/3 staff members were the ones I signed up with and expressed my goal to be able to enlist. I recently joined because this gym offers nice amenities with a reasonable membership fee. After visiting a handful of times now, I can confidently say that their staff is apathetic, unprofessional, and unhelpful on a consistent basis. Not only are they generally bad at their jobs but they are also rude and arrogant.

Don’t use the locker rooms

Went in for a workout. Placed my stuff in a locker (with a lock on it) and went to workout. After my work out I returned to find my lock was gone and all my cash was stolen. Had too call the police myself because the employees wouldn’t do anything (wouldn’t even call their manager to report what was going on). Terrible all around, do not go here!

This place has the most apathetic staff I’ve ever seen. Only about 20% of the gym wears masks and there is zero enforcement. I’ve never seen a single member of staff leave the front desk area and clean up or enforce the mask policy. Come here if you want Covid

This gym is so organized and clean. The locker rooms are always super clean. The guy who helped me get my membership was really nice and welcoming. This gym has helped me get into fitness more and I recommend it to all my friends!!

I have been coming to this gym for a while and it is usually alright. I went yesterday and didn’t have a mask and it was fine. Today, they are forcing masks and told me I couldn’t go in unless I have a mask. I did not have one and they didn’t have a mask to give me.The guy at the front desk with the glasses was huge help…. NOT!!! He was a huge a-hole. This whole situation just irritated me. Might find a new gym even though I been coming here for 12 years . Completely disappointed with La fitness.

HORRIBLE enrolment experience!
If you like places with good customer service, you probably will be better going somewhere else. Their sales rep, Nicole, was VERY rude and definitely needs to learn some basic communication skills. Personal trainers were way more helpful and friendly.
I wanted to be supportive of my wife so I shut my mouth in the moment but, if the management, classes and private sessions are similar to the sales experience, I will do my wife a favor and take her somewhere else.

This is by far one of the nicest LA fitnesses around. I’ve been to dozens all over the US. It’s Clean, has friendly staff. Lots of good resources, and all in working order. If somethings broke it’s up again in a day or so. Can’t complain about this gym.
