Gym is fine, but the beaches of Normandy want their craters in the parking lot back! Basically need a tracked vehicle to safely navigate your way into the gym!

Happy to report that on my last 3 morning visits (10/5, 10/7, 10/9) the volume on the piped in music was down to a very tolerable level! Much more pleasant experience! Hopefully it will stay that way, and I will continue to be a very happy member!

New owners to a local gym. Still some older equipment, but they are replacing several pieces. The new owners are charging a fair amount, unlike the previous owners. I really look forward to seeing where this place is going.

Update June 2022.

All the old equipment is gone and replaced with new top notch machines. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They now have a smoothie bar and massage chairs. This gym is definitely a great addition to Monticello.

I started working out with Josh about a month ago.There have been many updates inside as far as new equipment goes. The best change is having him as the new owner. He is actually invested in the gym and cares about holding his clients accountable and helping them reach their goals. I could definitely not say that about the previous owner! If you’re looking to start a new workout routine, or maybe just need help tweaking what you’re already doing, go check it out!

The changes Josh has made since becoming the owner are great he's much more engaged than previous owners and management. He treats you like a client who's goals he's investing in, not just a customer he's selling a big box deal to. The only stone he leaves unturned are the ones you don't let him kick over.

New staff is great, but the new equipment is even better. Everything has been updated, and they continue to make improvements to the building. What a difference they have made here. Josh and the team have made this the best place in town to workout.

I’ve encountered the same experience as Sue Shaffer. My checking account continues to be debited even though I’d requested the cancelation of my membership over a month ago. I’d even communicated the request directly to the owner via both phone and email and he indicated he was proceeding with the cancelation only to once again debit my checking account this month. Apparently it’s written in the contract that a written notice of cancelation is necessary. Of course, he could have simply stated this to me last month either via email or phone but he chose otherwise. It would have been the cordial and professional thing to do. He’s permanently lost our business.

When first trying to get my membership to this gym I came close to 10 times during their hours when a staff member was supposed to be there before finally finding a staff member. I should have known then that I would never be able to cancel my membership. a year or so later I tried to go back to cancel my membership. After about 5 trips to find a staff member and no one being there during their scheduled hours I finally met someone. This was in February. I was told that I'd have to come back the following month to cancel my membership as they had to auto withdraw my next payment still. Since February I've been back several times and never been able to find a staff member during their scheduled hours. I've tried calling maybe a dozen times and have also never been able to reach anyone by phone also during their scheduled hours. I've now paid for 5 months of membership for something I tried to cancel months ago. That poor owner probably doesn't even know that his place is never staffed. I wonder how much he's paying those people to not even be there.
