I’ve been coming to Forth for about 6 months now, and really look forward to class. The studio is clean and the staff is friendly. I do wish there were Friday and Sunday classes around 4 pm to help me transition from work into the weekend/vice versa, other than that the schedule and class variety is great.

Been going to this studio for about a year now and it's honestly the best investment I've made in myself in a very long time!! Can't believe I haven't already written a review to sing Forth's praises. I'm a lifelong athlete and wanted to get more into yoga but still have the option for more high intensity workouts and Forth fits the bill perfectly. The studio is clean and calming and all of the instructors are wonderful. I find that at every modality (restorative, strength, classic vinyasa) there's a perfect balance of movement and breathwork. After a year of consistent practice I genuinely feel both physically stronger and so much more connected to/in control of my breath. The restore/soundbath classes are the first place I've ever successfully meditated. Plus, the studio owner is very engaged with the community, constantly partnering with local organizations and genuinely uplifting the community. Love this place!!

I love Forth! I finally signed up for a membership after being a drop in through ClassPass and the summer sessions in the park and it’s been such a great experience. Everyone is so friendly, goes out of their way to make it a personal experience and foster a community. I really enjoy the variety of classes, it keeps me motivated to get a well rounded work out experience. And I am so excited for the hot studio to open!

Been meaning to leave a review for this space! I started going here as a recommendation from my therapist. And it has had such a monumental impact. After years of trauma and basic self neglect I found this space to be a very safe, inviting, experimental and challenging escape from the chaos and the daily grind. A place to find peace and to reconnect with my mind and body in a healthy safe way. I’m so glad I found it and I’m nearly 50 classes in and every class I have taken has been with knowledgeable and attentive and well organized instructors. Literally everything I have been missing from my personal life. Highly recommend! 🖤🖤🖤

Forth is my happy place. I discovered it walking by last November. Since then you can find me there multiple times a week. The different modalities and instructors allows me flexibility depending on what I need in the moment. It’s a community without judgement where I can support my practice of wellness, health and fitness. I have made meaningful connections at Forth and am grateful I wondered by.

Love and appreciate Forth studio so much! Started coming here for the strength classes when I was nursing an injury from running and needed to find joy in other movement and I am so happy I joined. I have taken all the different classes and love them all. Excited to continue my journey with Forth!

Forth has become a movement staple in the community. The variety of classes makes the single studio membership worthwhile. They always have fun themes or events happening. All of the instructors are kind and really emphasize focusing on the present, which is such a good reminder/tool to come back to these days. Highly suggest trying out the Restore modality - intentional rest and meditation has been grounding for me.

I love this studio! There are 4 modalities to choose from, which are basically yoga, strength, Pilates and meditation. The trainers are all fantastic, I’ve only had great experiences. Eleanor set out to build community and so at the beginning of each class, we have a little prompter for a short conversation with the person sitting next to you. It really does help to take what is normally a walk-in and walk out experience and give you something to chat with when you run into the same people over and over again. I’ve made some really good friends through the studio because of this.

Forth Studio has become a favorite part of my weekly routine. The teachers and studio experience managers are welcoming, kind, and genuinely interested and invested in connecting with their members. Their approach to supporting and caring for yourself and your community through movement fosters a safe and collaborative environment. I highly recommend this studio for anyone who has felt intimidated and disconnected in other traditional studio or 'fitness' settings.

Forth Studio is such a welcoming and grounding space. From the moment you walk in, the kindness of the team sets the tone, and every instructor brings genuine care and presence to their classes. They create the right balance of challenge and support so every class feels accessible yet growth-oriented. Eleanor has created a beautiful community here, and it truly shows in the atmosphere of the studio.

I have found more than just a place to practice. It’s a space that supports growth, healing, and connection. Highly recommend to anyone looking for thoughtful, well-led classes in a calming environment.

I was really struggling with motivation to move my body last year and then I found Forth. I love the strengthen classes because lifting has always been what I’ve been into in. The instructors really motivate you to believe in yourself and your abilities which has made me more confident in me and my body. I also love the other modalities they offer - allowing me to try different things. Love this space!!!

I've been coming to Forth for a little over a year and I couldn't love it more. I have never been as consistent with any other workout than I have been with Forth. I sometimes take two or three classes back to back because I genuinely enjoy it. Additionally, the mirror-free space and emphasis on how things feel over how they look has really helped transform my relationship with my body. Eleanor, the staff, and the other members are so welcoming and great. I highly recommend it.

Forth has honestly changed my entire fitness regime - I love it and find myself there almost every day! The space is relaxing and calming, and classes are inclusive with various levels of athleticism, and the overall ethos is exactly what you want from a yoga-based studio. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just getting back into a movement practice, Forth is a great spot to try - it's NOT intimidating or cliquey like some studios can be.

Each instructor offers something special, and the community itself is hard to describe. Forth is really something special, and I'm SO glad they're in the neighborhood!

Believe the hype!!!! I was never very athletic and never felt very strong. I started just taking yoga classes at Forth because it was 30 seconds from my house. Eventually, Eleanor’s smiling face and cheerful demeanor wore me down and I thought ok I’ll try one of these “strengthen” classes. 1 year later and I’m lifting like you wouldn’t believe!! Or maybe you would, but I wouldn’t. A lovely, welcoming environment for all kinds of bodies and ability levels that will challenge you to be the best version of yourself, whatever that may be.

I was struggling with motivation when it came to my old gym routine, so set out to find a new space that was a bit more inviting and exciting for me. I joined Forth in hopes of finding a community space that provided both challenging and gentle class options and so far have been really pleased with what they offer. The strength classes are challenging and work up a good sweat, while the sound/meditation/restorative yoga classes have motivated me to come in even on days when I’d normally skip the gym. Looking forward to trying some mat Pilates as well, though can’t speak to those classes just yet. The wide variety of options has kept things fresh and renewed my motivation to set aside time for self care and health. All in all this has been a welcoming space (at both the staff and class participants level) and I’m really happy to have found them!

I’ve been a member for a year and have loved watching Forth evolve to show up more for their students. New classes, modalities and teachers have enhanced their already great offerings. People of all sizes and abilities are in class with teachers that invite a challenge without being pushy. I experienced an injury (unrelated to exercise) and found the teachers to be super accommodating to my needs when I needed to take a rest. I highly recommend this studio to anyone in the Avondale / Logan area.

In January, I was looking for something different than a traditional gym and stumbled upon Forth when I tried Class Pass. Forth was EXACTLY what I was looking for- a welcoming community focused on movement that is intentional and meaningful. I have tried all modalities at the studio and can honestly say that I’ve never felt more in tune with my body and have felt myself grow stronger since joining as an official member. Would highly recommend this studio!

I find Forth Studio to be a wonderful space. I like that it isn’t heated which gives me flexibility in deciding where I want to go for certain practices. Particularly I love their restore and breath work classes. I’ve struggled with a lot of anxiety and been out of touch with my body recently, and these classes have given me skills and community both in class and outside it.

I find it to also be very beginner friendly, and all bodies exist in the space together which is very inspiring and encouraging to me. Sometimes I find fitnesses spaces to capitalize on the exclusivity of it, but Forth makes me feel like they’re more inviting anyone to come in and share their space.

Really happy to have found Fourth studio! It’s definitely filling a need in the wellness space, providing a nice variety of health classes from breath work to strength training. I love lifting weights but don’t love the setting of a packed weight room at a busy gym, so I’ve really enjoyed the Strength class that feels challenging but in an intimate setting. Mat Pilates is challenging but fun and restorative, Eleanor is an AMAZING teacher. Love this spot!

It's not that this is a bad studio, but I don't understand all the 5 stars. Forth is just fine. You're lucky if you get 25 mins of actual strength movement in a 45-min strength class (so much stretching pre and post-workout; SO much time watching the instructor demo movements; final workout blocks will get cut short due to lack of time, but then we do a 5-min savasana (in a strength class)) - just an unimpressive workout considering the cost per class. I understand the pre-workout conversation questions are meant to build community, but I wish they'd do those in the minutes before class starts. Some of us have kids or demanding jobs, and if all we have is 45 mins to work out, I want to feel like that time is really getting maximized. I don't feel that at Forth.

Personally, I also think the concept of building community in a place like this rings a little false. Forth feels less like an authentic space where people are encouraged to create their own community, and more a place where community is centered around and controlled by the business itself. Community-as-buzzword, if you will. There are weird cliquey vibes that the owner seems to encourage/lead. Then again, I am nostalgic for the community Logan Square used to be, not the one it's becoming thanks to businesses like Forth.

I've never enjoyed moving my body more than I have in my time going to Forth. I started going to Forth last summer with the Restore classes; the soundbath at the end of each class is such a special opportunity for reflection and meditation. Then I added Strengthen classes to my routine. I was worried I would be intimidated, but I've never felt stronger and more empowered to challenge myself in a class. I am not someone who traditionally likes working out, but Forth's focus on how things feel in your body has truly changed my outlook on exercise. The classes are focused on community (many begin by introducing yourself to a neighbor, which really helps mitigate intimidation or fear of judgment). I am writing this as I get ready to go to my 5th class of the week and it's only Weds-- that's how much I love it. I feel so lucky that this space has opened in my neighborhood. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Such an incredible addition to the Avondale/Logan Square community. Not only are the workouts amazing (I am addicted to their Strength class and love to unwind with Restore!), but in less than a year, they've created such a wonderful community of people. A great workout that feels good in your heart and soul, too.

I’m really sad to give this review, as I have tried twice to attend the restore & sound bath session via ClassPass. I don’t even know why they bother having a phone number listed and ask you to leave a message, as you won’t hear back despite leaving 3 messages. The place is hard to find, and parking even harder. If you’re a min late, the class is closed off, which I can understand, but unlike other places that practice customer service, they will not work with you to try to get you in another class…makes sense since they don’t even answer the phone or return calls in a timely fashion. Liza the receptionist was nice, but she was not very empathetic when I mentioned trying to call earlier as I was driving down the street multiple times looking for the studio already knowing I was likely running late, she said that she was busy checking people in that’s why she didn’t pick up and that I should consider a membership since ClassPass is tough. Why would I become a member after a 2nd negative experience? I’d recommend Ritual Yoga, as they have much better culture, philosophy & customer service.

I have been attending Yoga & Strength classes via ClassPass for a couple of months, and have not found any other studio as welcoming and healing as Forth! I really love that their focus is on how it feels, not how it looks— the mirrorless studio has such a positive impact on how I show up for myself during class. It doesn’t feel as intimidating as many other yoga and fitness studios, and I always feel so proud and accomplished after each session.

Every instructor has been incredibly genuine, and has always taken the time to check in with me & offer modifications throughout the class to meet everyone where they’re at. If you are looking for an inclusive, supportive, cozy space to reconnect to your mind/body/spirit, this is it. <3

This place is truly special. I never thought I'd give up my class pass/gym membership for a yoga studio (especially after watching free yoga videos at home for years), but this place is absolutely worth it.

Their strength classes are actually challenging, especially if you like full body workouts and supersets. The yoga classes are varied and the right amount of flow and rest. I genuinely find myself looking forward to classes here, and it's turned me into a "working out at 7:15 am" person.

This place is also fun, it never feels forced. Their classes sometimes have themes - for artists, albums, and genres, or even DJs. But the vibe is always very chill and the music is at the perfect volume, I've never had to use earplugs here.

The instructors I've taken classes with: Eleanor, Anna, and Katie, are incredible and very friendly. You can tell they really care about the people attending class - even outside of class. They're human, approachable, inclusive, and welcoming -- and they care about building community in our neighborhood. Overall, fantastic experience, great space (which I can tell is going to be super inviting when it's cold), and varied enough to keep it engaging.

To offer breath work, strength training, sound bowls AND meditation all under ONE roof is SUCH a breath of fresh air in the Chicago wellness landscape! Go on, Forth!!

Eleanor and her team have curated the cutest little green zen zone in the Avondale/Logan square neighborhood! I bought the intro 4-class pack to try all the formats and so far I’ve completed two classes with Lisa and Jordan—phenomenal teachers. That 4-pack is super reasonably priced and I feel I got way more value out of it than similar gyms with their own intro offers. I can’t wait to try the other 2 formats!

I also had a question about the sound bowls and Eleanor kindly took the time to explain it a little better. I had never experienced sound bowls before this and the chills and sensations I felt were truly magical, and I have a feeling this is about to be my new weekly obsession!

So excited about this new studio! It can be hard to find good group fitness classes, but I love Forth - the space itself has such a great vibe and the instructors are so helpful, especially if (like me) you haven’t done a yoga class in a few years. 😅 Can’t wait to check out the other classes Forth has to offer!
