Erica is an incredible instructor who also demonstrates the exercises that are completed in class with ease. I learned what a pistol squat is, ouch lol. Overall a healthy, fun, challenging experience that pushes you to the best of your ability. Can’t wait to come back!

Not only is this gym one of a kind in terms of changing the fitness experience up a bit. . . But the owners themselves are amazing human beings. So much so, they held a fundraiser at their gym for a NON-member whose child was battling leukemia. I’m leaving this review as I have seen a couple one-star reviews listed that are nonsense and obviously fabricated. We live in a time where people like to hurt people for no reason; instead of building themselves up they find it easier to tear those around them down. It’s such a shame.

When you join Genesis Barbell you feel like you’ve become part of a bigger family. This is a small family-owned business that operates by investing their time and energy to bring out the best version of you.

Not only can I attest to Genesis Barbell having the best trainers you’ll work with, but the owners are second to none, hosting charitable events as these opportunities arise. I was honored to be part of two of these events.

The owners have gone beyond what was expected to help me on my journey in more ways that I can count.

Not a safe space for women of color!! Staff will not deescalate harassment and will allow male members having a roid rage episode to be dangerously aggressive and berate women that follow all gym policies and aren't bothering anyone. They will be dismissive, tell you to fix your attitude, then insinuate that your race has correlation to said attitude. We are not safe or welcomed here!!

Geneis Barbell is an amazing family gym, where the trainers will demonstrate and watch carefully so there are no injuries, the owners that are not only owners but friends of all and a great place to get and stay in shape. Everyone is working towards the same thing, happy and healthy bodies! I’ve been a member of this gym for over ten years. Genesis Barbell has experienced trainers, and you can’t beat the one on one attention that is given to all members. I’ve been to bigger gyms, and it’s such a hassle waiting for a machine to open. At Genesis Barbell you do not have this problem, and you workout with polite and courteous people who are more than willing to share equipment. I highly recommend this gym.

I have been going to Genesis Barbell for the past 4 years. The workouts are always challenging and every trainer has always answered my questions and would give me great feedback on the skill we were working on. Gensis Barbell has changed my life! I can honestly say joining this amazing gym was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. I was never one to enjoy working out in the past. Erica has completely changed my outlook on exercise. She have given me a sense of accomplishment by pushing me to do my best. I joined my daughter Ashley at Genesis Barbell as a drop in and had a great experience! The box is well appointed with all of the gear we needed for weights and WOD. Paula clearly explained the workout, and the workout was well programmed both for time and skill. One thing that was a little different than at my home box was that while we usually work out on a very specific time clock, at Genesis the clock started at the top of the hour but you had more flexibility in when you got through your weights and started the WOD. Personally I prefer working in sync with the class and against the clock, but since my daughter was working on her own power lifting program she prefers being self paced; just a preference issue there.

Bottom line? I was well coached and well trained and would drop in any time at Genesis!

Genesis Barbell has excellent, knowledgeable trainers and challenging workouts with alternatives/accommodations available upon request. The facility is exceptionally clean and organized and there's plenty of equipment. The hours are convenient - not many places have a 5am group fitness class - and the members are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
