My daughter came over from another gym four years ago. From the moment she stepped into Gym Kinetics it felt like home to her. The coaches are encouraging and push the very best out of these girls.

My 3 year old has been attending the rec program since 18 months old. She is excited to go every week! She's learning to love the sport and making new friends. Her coaches have always been so patient, kind, and encouraging.

At Gym Kinetics everyone is like family.

My daughter came to this gym from another gym and I will say the coaches, training and environment are 100 times better! She is now enjoying the sport again and she has made many new gymnastic friends. The owners are very nice and approachable! I have gotten all of my questions answered, they are straight to the point and don't beat around the bush! My kind of people! I can see us staying at Gymkinetics for a while!

After trying 3 different gyms for my daughter to help her advance, we finally landed at gym kinetics. Started when she was 4 and now on pre team at 6! They have a great gym and always making improvements. They focus on correct form and discipline as well which I was looking for in a gym.

Gym kinetics has been a second home for my family for over a year now. I’ve never been in a facility that takes such time and effort getting to know each student and helping them succeed.

Our 2-year-old daughter absolutely loves Gym Kinetics! Miss Cynthia and Miss Callie are amazing instructors, so patient, fun, and great with the kids.

She always has a blast in class, and we’ve seen her grow in confidence and coordination since starting. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Do NOT participate in Cheer. The owner is clearly using cheer as a money making machine. She does not value the cheer program at all and as such has almost no communication and excludes the cheer girls.
The only good thing she did was hire amazing coaches who deserve to coach somewhere else where they are valued.

Gym Kinetics is such an amazing place! I have been there since middle school and I can say that this place really has made me become extremely confident and comfortable with myself. I’ve gained so much self love and β€œI can do it” mindset since I’ve walked through those doors. Coach Lesley is ONE of the greatest coaches there that has made me become very comfortable and confident about my progress. I came back after leaving because of an injury and I never really knew who she was, we met, and honestly we clicked instantly. Ever since I started the winter session last year in 2024, I’ve gained the skills I lost and never thought I’d get again. I faced many mental blocks and struggled to actually throw skills. She has helped me overcome ALL of them. Every Wednesday, my 40 minute drive is worth it! Thank you Gym Kinetics for being the best gymnastics with the BEST coaches.❀️

Coach Joe and Coach Joseph are the best coaches there. They motivate your children and encourage them to do their best. Their pricing/ fees are about the same as other schools. The owner is pompous and arrogant. Update: Both coach Joseph and Joe have left the school, but Coach Brad is the best! If you can pick a coach, I highly recommend Brad. Not only is he great with kids, but he makes learning fun for them.

I have nothing but good things to say so far about this gym. I like the structure and I love how my daughter has no fear when trying new things because she trusts the instructors. I recently signed up my other daughter for toddler gymnastics as well and she loved her first class. Good structure and teaches good listening skills

Cannot recommend this place after witnessing the treatment of my 3 year old daughter.

We signed up weeks in advance for a class time with a coach that our daughter had warmed up to, and minutes before class started we realized they switched coaches without even notifying us. Understandably, my daughter was upset because she is 3 years old and has separation/ social anxiety.

To be clear, the younger coaches are very kind and patient. However, the owner Wendy walked into the class and immediately started barking at my daughter to close the door to where we were standing trying to encourage her. She then went on to verbally scold my daughter saying β€œIN OR OUT”. A couple minutes after that, she grabbed my daughter’s arm and pulled her out of the class.

I confronted Wendy professionally and told her she is being very insensitive and to not speak to my child like she did. She could care less and said she didn’t do what I saw with my own eyes and ears.

Immediately went to the desk and got a refund for the class.

Not sure why they offer a class for 3 year olds if the owner has zero patience for common 3 year old behaviors.

Cannot and will not recommend this place and my daughter will sadly not be going back after the treatment and borderline bullying I witnessed.

Do better.

Don't bother with this place. it's a massive gym with a million kids in the classes. it's a cash grab, the coaches are just teenagers most of who don't look like they have much gymnastics experience and since all their help wanted signs say no gymnastics experience needed I would say that's accurate. the class was just my daughter and all the other little girls struggling to pull themselves up and over the uneven bar to do a flip on the bar with a coach helping them complete the rotation. each kid would go and the coach would flip them over the bar and then the next kid would go. no real coaching or assistance. just a teenager standing and flipping kids over a bar. my daughter learned nothing. we decided to try ninja and while my daughter enjoyed that much more it costs $200 every 2 months which is outrageous. then they charged me $30 for a single "Ninja Mission". when my wife got there to watch and record for me since I'm working they tell her shes not allowed to go back and watch and they tell her there's a TV to watch on but the TV was NOT working and they blamed a new router for that.....so we paid $30 for one hour of ninja because my daughter wanted us to see her and we can't. this place is just a cash grab, don't bother.

We came for a friend's birthday party. The hosts were told that children under 4 could be on the floor as long as they were accompanied by a parent. I got there with my 3 children, including my very excited 2.5 year old who was ready to play. However, upon our arrival we were greeted by a very angry looking man who was apparently the owner. He told us very rudely that kids under 4 could not go out onto the floor at all, even with a parent. My child was left standing in the lobby screaming while he watched the other children getting to play. We ended up leaving the party because I wasn't going to torture my toddler for 2 hours. I suggest that your staff get on the same page and communicate rules and expectations more clearly. If Ii would have known that he wasn't able to participate, I would have left him at home. I don't recommend this place at all.

The woman who answers the phone and works at the front desk is so incredibly rude and unprofessional it makes the whole gym have a bad image. I have never had a positive encounter with her and have never even witnessed her having a positive encounter with any other individuals/staff members.

I highly DONT recommend this place. The coaches do not care about all the kids. They care about the kids they want to care about. They yell for no reason and think what they want to think and not what really happened. The kids get treated how the coaches like them. When your hurt they just make you sit out and don’t let you do thinks that will help you get better.

Very disappointed in their 3 year old class. If your child is just learning to separate don't take them there. The instructor was rude and had no patience. My child cried then she was immediately escorted out after just a few minutes and was not given enough time to adjust. The instructor was annoyed and uncaring, which made it worse. We were told that 3 year olds would be in a separate room, not true. They start off in their crammed, noisy, large open area gym with all ages, which is not an ideal situation for a first time separation class. Too noisy for me too. Took my child to UGA, great first class. Instructor handled her like a pro made separation a positive experience and yes they have a separate classroom.

Most of the coaches here are wonderful! I do wish the girls got more time on events other than floor. My daughter needs one thing on bars to move up, but they only do bars every 3 weeks so she doesn't get much practice unfortunately. Other than that I love this place! Their teaching styles are wonderful and very effective. I took gymnastics as a child and if I had continued on I would have transferred here for sure! Can't recommend this place enough!!

My daughter does gymnastics at this place and loves it! She loves all the coaches too. When she's in class she'll watch the other classes too and she thinks that all the classes are really good. She watches the minis the most and actually picked up some strategies from the minis coach to help teach her 2 year old sister gymnastics. I never want to send her to a different gymnastics place and she doesn't want to go to a different gymnastics place either!

Very disappointed in the staff. I have a preschool age daughter and was looking for a place that offered gymnastics so I decided to try Gym-Kinetics. When I first walked in, I was very impressed at the place because they have a phenomenal amount of gym equipment. They have 2 gyms, a small gym and a large gym. However, once my daughter started taking classes here, I was no longer impressed. The instructors are not friendly. They do not interact with the little preschool kids. It was like my daughter was being taught by a robot - no interaction - no eye contact - no smiles, nothing! The instructor had a straight face the entire time. The instructor setup different stations for the kids to rotate through but only helped the kids at one of the stations instead of rotating through the stations with the kids so some of kids were a little lost at some of the stations not really knowing what to do. The instructor never talked to the parents at all - not even to remind parents that there would be no class next week due to a holiday. Maybe this place would be better if they hired more high school or college age kids or people that really enjoy gymnastics and really enjoy working with kids. After my daughter finished her last gymnastics class at Gym-Kinetics, I decided to look around and try something else. I enrolled her in a preschool tumbling class at TwistStars in Tinley Park and she loves it! The instructors and staff are so much nicer!

I really wanted to like this center. Most of the staff is great. Very patient, knowledgeable and attentive to the children. However, the woman that manages the center has been consistently rude. I've never had a positive interaction with her. I have witnessed her being rude to other parents and staff, and the same behavior is present whether you are in-person or on the phone. I tolerated her behavior because I genuinely think it is a quality center, but it is difficult to patronize any business that does not treat you like a valued customer.
