This place is amazing! I went through the 500 hour teacher training program and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I made incredible friends and have since used the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to continuously better myself. It’s been nine years since I’ve taken the training and I currently teach 3x a week sharing what I’ve learned. People often leave me good reviews and tell me how much they’ve enjoyed the class and I must credit this to Hillairy’s knowledge. Linking postures to the different chakras and understanding how to balance those aspects as well as fundamentals of inhaling and exhaling properly between the postures have given me a foundation to play and explore on. Highly recommend the studio to anybody looking to start yoga or further their own practice or teaching abilities.🫶💙

The only studio probably that offers 10 pack classes well under $200, very accessible yoga practice. Very sad they closed their Wicker Park location, but I will be going here instead. Very nice teachers and lovely [actually] slow flow classes that are not just a spread through of simpler poses.

They want you to color exactly within the lines, which isn't what yoga is about to me, it should be about self expression, creativity, and harmonization. They have two people who walk around and adjust you constantly, it's slow and generic, and the lady told me a few times to follow along better (e.g.instead of doing a shallow backbend I'd take a version that works for my body, an all the way backbend). I left after about ten minutes. terrible vibe. I don't recommend it unless you're a total square or like cults.

Been going to hilltop yoga for about 3 years now. The yoga, philosophy and energy is something that cannot be replicated. I have learned so much as a student and am so grateful to have found hilltop at a time I needed it most. I just completed my 200 hour apprenticeship ship with Hilaire and it was amazing. I learned so much from teaching yoga, the philosophy, the history, the language and about my own practice. I have met my yoga family through hilltop! So excited for my 500 hour training and more of Hilaire’s amazing retreats that she hosts🤍

Hilaire’s studio provides critical contribution to lift local commiunity phisical and mental health. Every teacher is unique and encouraging without pushing. The kindness and support they give to new and seasoned students help so many to gradually achieve ultimate balance and peace of mind. Amazing place where students of all levels feel like home and acccepted. The best thing that helped us through the challenges of pandemic. Please keep your great work and thank you for all you do for people.

Hilltop is a special space where you'll find the real deal and be welcomed to the community by both teachers and fellow students alike. Class choices are broad and all teachers have been trained by Hilaire which results in consistency amongst the staff. That said, everyone's classes manage to feel a little different so you'll definitely find something that fits what you're looking for.

Virtual yoga with Hilltop has been a life saver, I've tried to balance being at home while getting the proper routine. The variety of yoga classes with different levels of yoga classes has been awesome to pick from so I can pick which online yoga class best fits my mood and schedule.

Power yoga has been one of the most challenging things that I've done but I love the challenge and have needed to sweat it out. Having virtual events has been a game changer for me.

had my first class with Hilaire outside by the lakefront. An experience I will never forget. She is calming yet pushes you to work hard. I never felt judged when I couldn't achieve a certain pose.

Great studio.. never too crowded, Maureen is the best teacher, good prices (get the new student special - 2 weeks for $20). It's a challenging class but it's doable and you never feel like you're competing with others in the class. I'm so glad I found this place.

I was visiting from out of town and attended and early morning class. It was fantastic - challenging but fun. They have yoga mats for free (which is great for visitors) and a really cute studio. I will definitely go again when I'm back in town!

I've taken classes with Hillarie and Jaime - loved them both! Traditional approach but I always left sore the next day. Great for adjustments, meditation, and building a stronger practice. Studio is very welcoming, warm, and friendly. Space is sunny and bright. In the summer cute dogs walk by the window -- added perk :))

Love this space and the classes. After practicing regularly for two years I wanted to explore my practice on a new, more challenging level, and I definitely found that at Hilltop. Hillaire and the other teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and the small class sizes allow you to get a lot of hands-on adjustments. Would recommend for any level from beginner to advanced!
