HF makes exercise fun, individualized, and productive - all in an efficient manner. Chris and team accomplish this in a personalized approach - in my case all in a couple 30 minute sessions a week! I was introduced to the gym’s owner Chris just before the pandemic began. My previous personal trainer had just moved to California, and I was looking for a new personal trainer and something that fit in my budget. Chris won me over with his personality and genuine enthusiasm and generosity. The gym itself further won me over as I met other trainers and members. By the time I joined the gym, I had quit smoking and gained a lot of weight. I have never felt body shamed and continue to feel inspired with every workout. I don’t need one-on-one training, so the small group training gives me just enough structure and support. Chris has also coached me on food, and after a few months of working with him on my diet, the weight has really started coming off. I’m losing 1-2 pounds a week, which was my goal. Coach Rich works with me the most on my fitness, and I can’t say enough good things. He too keeps me motivated and always makes me laugh. I always leave the gym feeling uplifted. It’s easy to give this gym and team a solid 5 of 5. I highly recommend.

I love working out at Hustle Fitness! I’ve been a member at the Chicago location for almost a year and the group classes are one of the highlights of my day. I have been attending classes at Hustle for 7 years, and I love it! All the coaches are awesome, and I enjoy interaction with other members. Working out in a class setting greatly helps with motivation. I add classes to my daily schedule, so there's no question that I will attend. I don't need to think about my work out because it's planned in advance.

Each session is only a half hour. It's not a huge time commitment. If I'm feeling a little tired, it's not a problem. I still attend because I know the class will be over before I know it. And guess what? I feel energized afterwards.

I look forward to going to the gym these days because Hustle is the best gym in the land!!

I really love working out at Hustle. I have gotten so much stronger and things I thought would always cause me pain (I chalked it up to age) are not painful. I am undeniably more fit and healthier. I really like the small group personal training. It’s personalized, it’s great meeting some other members, it’s just a few other people so I feel safe working out there (and they take all precautions), and it’s a really economical way to get personalized workouts with a trainer.

I love Hustle ! I’ve been a member going on two years. I first was interested in HF because the classes were only 30 minutes long. I was so over cardio based classes and was looking for mainly strength building. Hustle incorporates both! I am so much stronger and more toned than when I first came to Hustle. They provide small in person classes (COVID, or not) - which I LOVE I’m not fighting people for space. And if you don’t feel comfortable attending in person, they have online classes!

My cousin took me to my first class this past Saturday and I loved it (and am still sore!). In a quick 30-minute class, we did several different circuits with strengthening and cardio exercises. The instructor was helpful, informative, and enthusiastic. All in all, the class had great energy, great music and never felt repetitive. I really like the Hustle structure and definitely recommend it to others!

I absolutely LOVE Hustle!! It's an outstanding community with excellent trainers (Richard is my fav). My sister and I got in the best shape of our lives there. I'm the size I was at 15 years old now! Chris is an amazing owner who will work with you to meet your goals and manage a plan that works for you. I went there multiple times a week for seven months before I moved away. I loved the HIIT style classes because it's great for people with a busy schedule. Many times people struggle with a gym because they don't have the time, that's not the case here. You bust your butt for 30 mins and as long as you hold yourself accountable you will see results. I highly recommend Hustle to anyone I know. I miss the community and it has been the best gym I've gone to by far.

I love this place! I’m a yoga teacher and typically do yoga and pilates for strength based work. I wanted to cross train so saw Hustle by chance and gave them a shot (they offer free trials so check them out risk free!) they offer small group training sessions which are 30mins long - but the most efficient 30mins ever! In 3 weeks I’ve seen more results than in 3mos of pilates! What I love most though is the community (small, close knit and super supportive) and the coaches as well as the owner Chris Jakubiak who are all SO passionate about what they do and truly helping their clients. I do not sleep very well. In fact, it has been years since I have slept through the night. I joined Hustle Fitness about 6 weeks ago, and in additon to getting noticibly stronger, I have slept through the night each and every day that I have worked out there. In fact even if I miss a day I still get a good night's rest. I have lost weight, and I have gained muscle, but this consistantly strong 30 minute challenge every day giving me more consistnat sleep has been priceless. I hightly recommend trying HF.

Going to a new gym can be awkward, especially if you are a bit out of shape. I was extremely pleased by the trainers. Richard was the trainer running the session I attended, and Chris the owner was there as well. Both were supportive and took the time to make sure I was doing the exercises properly. I’m not going to lie, I felt the workout afterwards. I am just glad I felt the workout in the right way, not from hurting myself by improperly doing the movements. And I have Richard and Chris to thank for that.

I’ve never taken the time to write a review for anything before in my life, but Hustle Fitness is truly a gem. I’m new to Chicago and was looking for a place where I would be motivated to work out, challenged each day, and feel comfortable/welcome even though I’m pretty out of shape. After trying a bunch of other fitness classes and gyms in the area—pure barre, soulcycle, LPAC, etc—I finally walked into Hustle Fitness and I’m so glad I did!

Chris, the owner, does a great job creating a supportive, community-focused environment where anyone at any level is welcome and the trainers are fantastic—the second you step into the gym they will greet you by name and then proceed to kick your butt! Lesleigh and Rich, in particular, are wonderful and have made me feel like I was part of the team from day one.

The workouts are challenging but doable and they change every day, nutritional support is available at no extra cost, and membership is at a very attractive price point. I’m only a few weeks in but I’m already impressed enough to recommend (and to leave my first review!).

After hearing great word of mouth for years from several friends about Hustle Fitness I finally took the leap and joined the family. This was in October of 2016 - two years ago - and I couldn't be happier with the results I've seen physically as well as in my personal life!

The studio specializes in small group training sessions - 30 minute workouts that are combinations of strength training and mobility. As an amateur athlete this has been an absolute blessing on my joint health and as helped prevent injuries on numerous occasions.

Since the studio is privately owned you get a hands-on approach that very few gyms can offer. Members include professional athletes, schoolteachers, professors, adventurous backpackers, etc. Each member is valued for their goals and the abilities and everyone is supportive of each others' growth in a way that I've never seen at another gym. I've seen numerous members with physical limitations overcome those setbacks by working with the trainers and developing personalized gameplans and goals.

I was looking for a way to reboot working out, as I had really fallen into a funk for a while. I was thinking of getting a personal trainer, and wanted something easy to get to/from, and structured classes.

I found Hustle Fitness, and it is amazing. Quick 30 minute classes, where you can vary your intensity and weight. The people are incredibly friendly, and the trainers are very motivating. The gym is casual, and feels like a family, even after only being there for 6 months.

If you need someone to tell you what to do at the gym, keep track of duration of exercises, have fun upbeat music, and only have 30 minutes, this is the place for you. I've worked my way up to 5x per week, and my strength has really improved. I feel really great about the gym!

Hustle Fitness is a hidden treasure.
It is a small studio with only the nicest people. It is managed by its owner, Chris Jakubiak. He is usually there and he gives some of the classes. His wife, and dog (Blue), show up for a work out pretty often too!
I did the New Year’s revolution program and the combination of Chris’ diet program and mentoring, along with the workouts made lose 20 pounds of fat and gain 5 of muscle in 6 weeks. I have kept going and I have loss a total of 40+ pound in less than 5 months.
This place is like the Cheers of gyms… I would recommend to everyone and anyone.

I’ve been working with Chris Jakubiak of Hustle Fitness for personal training for about a year now, and it has been such a great experience.

I get bored very easily with working out, and that’s never the case with Chris. He keeps the workouts fun, interesting, and dynamic. He is great at explaining each movement and technique, and provides great motivation when things are getting tough. The gym itself is always neat, organized, and non-intimidating. I receive a warm welcome every time I come in, and although I’ve never worked with Josh (the other owner), he always has a friendly smile on his face and a quick witty remark to throw into the conversation.

I feel stronger and more confident in my athletic ability because of Chris, which comes in handy when I’m working out with my military boyfriend. I love showing off my knowledge of training and different exercises I’ve learned with Chris. Especially my boxing! Chris introduced me to boxing and has incorporated it into my workouts. I would have never known I liked it so much, if it wasn’t for Chris.

Furthermore, I love Hustle Fitness’s holistic approach to fitness. They know that health is not just about working out but about incorporating other healthy habits into your lifestyle. There is a “Commit to be fit” program that is available to clients where you are provided with clean eating guidelines and encouraged to set short and long term workout goals. Hustle Fitness then provides a community of support for you so you don’t have to go at it alone!

I began training at Hustle when it opened in 2011 after training with Josh for more than a year prior to that. I had just completed two marathons and wanted to focus more on strength training without getting injured in the process. Since training at Hustle, I'm the leanest I've ever been and am more focused on getting stronger and looking better than ever before.

Josh and Chris are great at motivating you to reach your goals no matter what your fitness level is. In training sessions, they are always ready with a challenging workout that's specific to you and your goals. The group classes are also great - Josh/Chris provide instruction on a circuit and then you are able to work through the exercises at your own pace. Plus, the members at Hustle are welcoming and offer encouragement and motivation to everyone in the class, so you don't have to worry about walking in for the first time and being totally intimidated.

I think the best thing Josh and Chris offer is an unrivaled base of knowledge of both fitness and nutrition that gives you the tools to train for whatever you want to achieve – be it a 5K, a marathon or just wanting to be healthy and in better shape. I think what really sets Hustle Fitness apart from other gyms is just how intelligently Chris and Josh deal with each client's goals-- and base their training in proven, scientific methods. The workouts and instruction are very detail oriented; there's a focus on form to make sure that you're progressing safely and efficiently. That said, don't expect to have an easy workout. The workouts are very challenging, but never to the point where you feel like you're just spinning your wheels. Chris and Josh are aware that people can hit physical plateaus and try to keep things unique and fun.

With that in mind, it's no surprise that these dudes get great results. I go to Hustle for improved athletic performance (MMA and grappling), and over the past couple of years have seen massive improvements in my stamina, strength, and perhaps most importantly, recovery after a hard workout. It's a testament to just how knowledgeable and skilled Chris and Josh are that after I finish a workout, they train somebody over 50 looking to lose weight, or a marathoner trying to improve her running form. No matter what your reason is for working out, Chris and Josh seem up to the challenge to helping you reach your goals.

Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how the gym's welcoming and friendly culture makes working out at Hustle an enjoyable experience. Group classes are offered, which helps build a strong sense of community among the members, and Chris and Josh are truly interested in getting to know their clients. Hustle regularly offers charity workouts and additional nutrition seminars, which is just the cherry on top, and reflects the holistic view Chris and Josh take toward health.

There's a reason not every trainer in Chicago can hang his own shingle, and it's because they'd have to compete with guys as professional and effective as Chris and Josh.

If you are contemplating working out with a trainer, HUSTLE FITNESS is the place to go! Chris and Josh, the owners and trainers, are incredible! I really cannot say enough about both of them. Already being an active person, they both have pushed me even farther than I thought I could go. I have been working out since July, and after only 3 months, I feel stronger, have more energy, and have lost a noticeable amount of weight. Chris and Josh make the experience personal, and I have not enjoyed working out as much as I do at HUSTLE. They also offer advice on improving your diet, eating clean, and how to make better choices. In addition, the other clients are extremely supportive and friendly; it is a great community.

I have been an athlete my entire life, and floating through various gyms and work-out fads since college, I have been able to stay in relatively good shape. However, working out with Chris and Josh has brought me to a level I haven't seen since. I am stronger and leaner than I've been in my adult life, and more motivated to go to the gym than I've ever been.

The gym has a great atmosphere and everyone there is incredibly supportive of one another. Chris and Josh take the time to get to know you and your goals, and are knowledgable in overal health and nutrition to help you stay on track. Chris and Josh create fun but challenging workouts that have helped improve my strength, balance and endurance. I've been working out at Hustle Fitness since Winter 2012, and I've trained with one of its owners, Josh, since 2010. Right now I'm stronger than I have ever been in my life. While my own vices have definitely gotten me off-track for periods of time, Josh has helped me work towards sustainable habits that help me look and feel my best.
The workouts here are designed to challenge and engage you, and they definitely succeed. Every time I leave, I'm so glad I made the time in my schedule to come in and get some work done.

I came to Hustle Fitness after meeting Chris at a business networking event. After the event, Chris and I spoke at length about my fitness goals, what kind of workouts I currently engaged in, and how he could help me. For my 1st session, he did an in-depth analysis and screening about where I was weak and strong to address the fitness goals I had spoken with him about. Not only was the screening and analysis helpful, but the workout that followed was great!

In addition to my 1st session and our previous conversation, I had spoken to him about boxing and he told me how he had been competed and trained in Golden Gloves a few years ago and that he could work with me on how to box, including my footwork. I have been seeing Chris for a few weeks now and the workouts have been both challenging and effective in addition to the instruction, feedback, and guidance he has provided while training me.

I would highly recommend anyone to Hustle Fitness to get personal attention and results for your health and fitness needs! He takes the time to listen, craft workouts that are suited to your goals, and give you information that will benefit you in training regimen (marathon, triathlon, or just wanting to get fit).

Above and beyond the best gym and the two best trainers. The atmosphere and environment is incredible. Chris and Josh are both great trainers but they also attract many great clients. They work hard on building relationships and a community.

I've worked out at Hustle Fitness since they opened, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it is the best gym! The owners, Chris and Josh, are friendly, encouraging and very knowledgeable. I'd never worked with a trainer before, and was a little nervous but they've created a real sense of community at the gym. The environment isn't intimidating at all; all members encourage each other to reach their goals.

The Private Training is great way to towards specific goals (I've taken 12 minutes off a 1/2 marathon time, for example) and you get great individual attention. The Group Classes are super intense and give you a killer workout in under an hour. Chris and Josh also offer nutritional counseling and informational sessions and they also organize fun social events for members outside of the studio.

I highly recommend Hustle Fitness to anyone looking for a gym!

I used to be a runner... until a few marathons later, my knees started disagreeing with running. I wanted to find a gym that would challenge me and give me something similar to a runners high. About a year ago, I found Hustle though a friend of Chris and Josh, and now I love the workouts there so much that I rather just do Hustle workouts and not run!! Hustle has helped me become WAY more efficient with my workouts, and my build is looking more toned...my friend just told me how good my butt looks - awesome!!!!

They have an optional (free) "Eat Clean" group. Through this, they first taught its interested members how to eat in a clean, healthy consistent way (teaching about what are the best foods for your body and when in the day its best to eat them, how much, etc etc etc); following, they started an online group for members to support one another and give each other recipes and feedback. It has been really helpful and motivating. PS I am almost at my goal. :)

Last but not least, Hustle also does monthly charity workouts to give back to the community which is pretty cool!
