I cannot say enough good things about IzzyFit. I'll write out a lot more details below, but the bottom line is Izzy is wonderful and I highly recommend working with her.

I started with Izzy 2 years ago, and can easily say it is one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself and my health. Prior to this, I had never been very physically active and I had always been pretty wary of gyms, trainers, etc. When I set up an appointment to meet Izzy, I was very unsure about starting and worried about embarrassing myself when working out. From my first day meeting with Izzy, not only did my cautiousness/hesitancy around personal training quickly begin to fade, but I became excited about training with her each week and building strength. Two years later, and I see Izzy twice a week for personal training and wish I could go more often.

Izzy's knowledge, infectious enthusiasm, and dedication make each training session fun and motivating. She continuously shifts and updates my workout program so that I'm always engaged, challenged, and building strength and new skills. She is fantastic at modifying exercises so that they best fit my body's ability. Overall, I've learned so much about my body and how it moves over the last two years, and I can now move and lift so much more than I ever have been able to (e.g. band-assisted pull-ups, push-ups, deadlifts, and much, much more). In addition to physical gains, I also feel more comfortable in my body and more confident in my body's strength and abilities.

IzzyFit is also great because of the community involved in training with Izzy. She often has two people train together for each session (although they are each doing their individualized training program). This really builds a sense of community and support around working out. She also owns and trains at TruFit, which is easily the most welcoming, body positive gym I’ve been to. The trainers are friendly, experienced, and encouraging, and the clientele are diverse. The gym makes clear efforts to be inclusive and to support the community. As part of this, there are ongoing fundraising opportunities to support the gym in providing personal training scholarships.

All in all, I highly recommend contacting IzzyFit if you are looking for a great personal training experience. :)

I have been active for as long as I can remember—think run, bike, swim, ski, walk, etc…Years ago I gave up weight training. Big mistake. I realized a little late that in order to remedy the muscular weaknesses that were causing nagging injuries and improve my fitness, I needed to work strength training into my regime. Izzy’s workouts are specifically tailored to the individual. She works with your body where it is and doesn’t try to change it. Her assessment and plan are based on what she sees and what the person wants. If I go to training and have a pulled muscle or some ache, she adapts my routine on the fly. I have and am constantly learning good technique for lifting. Not only do I feel stronger, but so many seemingly little things I have learned in training translate to life: lifting suit cases, putting them in the overhead compartment, cleaning, getting up from the floor, taking steps two at a time, etc (glutes, core, quads, hamstring, balance, squats, lunges…). Last but not least by far, Izzy is creative, engaging, funny, smart, insightful, and endlessly encouraging.

I am NOT an exerciser by nature but this place is great. Izzy and her team are super smart about fitness AND extremely welcoming to everyone, no matter where they are on the swole spectrum. I've been working out there for a couple years now, and it feels so good to know that I'm diminishing my odds of being confined to a La-Z-Boy as I get older. Strong recommend!

Izzy is amazing. I have old injuries that make it challenging to do certain things and she is able to easily work around them and give me a real good workout. Almost every other trainer I have talked to focused on weight loss as a primary goal but Izzy focuses on your body. We work together to make sure my body is strong and active. I highly recommend IzzyFit!

I <3 IzzyFit! I came to Izzy after a long hiatus from exercise, knowing I needed some help easing my body back into exercise the right way. The one-size-fits-all training approach that is common at chain gyms was NOT what I wanted or needed, so thank goodness I found Izzy. Right from the start, I was impressed and knew I'd found the right match. Izzy is a bundle of energy wrapped in a layer of sunshine, a major boss when it comes to body and fitness knowledge, and best of all--she genuinely CARES about your health and your fitness goals! I can't say enough good things about my IzzyFit experience or about her as a trainer. Thanks Izzy!

Izzy is the best! I am so grateful to have found her.

I am a 57-year old woman who sits in a chair listening to psychotherapy clients much of the day. I was feeling it, let me tell you!

When I met Izzy, she took the time to closely evaluate what kind of shape I was in and what my exercise goals were. Six months later at 2 sessions per week, I can safely say that this is one of THE best health decisions I've ever made for myself. Izzy observes my sessions carefully, checking to make sure that my body is properly aligned. She also will easily change up a workout session if my back is feeling a little sore, etc. I am never bored with my workouts because she changes the routine every several weeks. I have learned so much about how to build certain muscle groups and how to listen more carefully to my body. I feel more energized, less stressed, and am in much better physical shape than I have been in a long time. Izzy is a pleasure to be with: she is bright and intelligent and funny.

I can't recommend IzzyFit highly enough.
