I think I found a CrossFit gym where I actually want to train regularly. The best part is you don’t need to think about programs - coaches build everything for you and watch your technique.
I started with personal sessions with Daniel (Chicago CrossFit Champion!) and he fit me into the program really smartly. Couldn’t be happier with that choice.
Also, huge respect to Adam and Matt - they’re always there, correcting technique, motivating, and making sure you’re improving every workout.
If you’re thinking about CrossFit, I’d say start with personal training - makes the whole journey way smoother.

I absolutely love this place!!! My wife Emily started coming to the gym first and couldn’t stop talking about how bad ass the classes were. I decided to join and never looked back. The coaches are amazing, knowledgeable and down to earth. It’s been about 6-7 months now and I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m 51 yrs old and I’m stronger and more agile than when I was in my 20s and 30s. The gym change my life completely and I’m so grateful to be part of the Jaguar family.

Joining Jaguar is one of the best decisions I made in 2025! Before joining, I was pretty skeptical of cross-fit and class-based gyms. The coaching and members are so welcoming and supportive, especially the morning classes!! In just a few months, I’ve pushed more weight than I thought possible thanks to their outstanding coaching, tips, and programming. They use an app to track your progress which is very underrated! I now fully question what the heck I was doing in the gym all the years before this . . . If you’re on the fence, just give it a go!!!

Before joining Jag I had never picked up a barbell in my life. I joined to get in shape for my wedding but will keep coming simply to be stronger. Even if you’re starting from the very basics, the coaches are great at teaching, scaling for every level, and keeping workouts fun, challenging and with great music. Fantastic gym! I’ve been at the gym for over two years and have made huge strides in my fitness as result of the excellent coaches and elite programming. Recently joined Jaguar after my previous gym closed and I can not enough positive things about the vibe that Adam and Matt have cultivated here. They are two of the most positive and caring coaches I've encountered! You can tell they truly care about their clients from the time they take to not only show you how to do movements but also the why behind them so you understand the impact of the movements vs. just going through the motions. All the coaches are constantly walking around during class providing feedback, help and encouragement. The workouts are always challenging but you have the freedom to scale as needed to meet your needs and never feel "less-than" because of it. The community here has also been fantastic and welcoming so looking forward to continuing to be part of it!

The programming at this gym is top notch, and I always feel like I am improving by just showing up. There's a lot of thought put into making sure each workout is impactful, while balancing the entire week and cycle. Combined with a great staff (Adam, Dan, Becca, and Matt are all great) that take the time to get to know you (+ your goals), it's obvious why this gym is a cornerstone in my life here in Chicago. You cannot beat the combination of the expertise, community, and effectiveness that this gym offers.
The initial sign up process was both smooth and welcoming - I spoke with Adam about background and training philosophy, and I was able to do a trial class. The gym itself is clean, not overwhelming, and well air-conditioned, however, the main entrance is on the Chicago street of the Chicago X Halstead corner.
I used to think I reached the pinnacle of my fitness years ago, and I'm so grateful that this gym has proved me wrong.

I’ve only been doing CrossFit for a few months, and I’m so glad I joined this gym. The coaches are incredibly helpful, always making sure I’m learning proper technique and training safely.
What really makes this place special is the community—supportive, down-to-earth, and nothing like the typical “bro culture.” Everyone lifts each other up, no matter your level.

Nice spot tucked away in the riverwest area of Chicago. Maximized the space very well. If you hear any noise, don’t worry it’s just me and the boys boppin. Program is well thought out. Emphasis on linear progressions and repeatable/sustainable work capacity. They give you multiple different paths for work outs throughout the group. If you’re looking for CF options that is included. If you want more of a strength and conditioning approach without complex high skill movements there’s options for that. Each option remains consistent with the linear progressions I talked about earlier. Open gym times during the day. They do have 15ft ropes in the vault. Also check out their much bigger space in lemont. Plenty of room for activities out there.

Overall great gym! Wonderful sense of community and workouts. Only suggestion I have is to incorporate more Saturday type workouts during the week. Our cardio days for example should have HIIT elements to it as well to make it more of a challenge.

I’ve been doing CrossFit for 11 years, so finding the right gym was a big priority when I moved to Chicago. I’m really glad I found Jaguar. The community was welcoming from day one, the coaching is solid, and the programming is consistently challenging and well thought out. Jaguar Fitness has easily become my favorite gym of all time! I joined a year ago after losing strength and cardio endurance in the years since college. I was looking for a gym to turn it around for me, and have been more than happy with the results. The coaches are friendly, attentive, and know how to push and encourage you, and most importantly, TEACH!! While I am tempted to gatekeep this place, Jaguar Strength and Conditioning is absolutely the best CrossFit style gym in Chicago! I joined as someone with zero CrossFit or weight lifting experience and was nervous at first because the movements are complex and there is learning curve when starting from scratch. The coaches are incredibly patient and supportive, breaking down movements in a way that’s easy to understand and being patient with me when it takes time to learn and build a level of comfort.
The community here is incredibly welcoming and supportive. In addition to being new to CrossFit, I also joined Jag after just moving to Chicago and not really knowing anyone. The community has become more than just gym buds and many have become close friends of mine.
I’m beyond happy that I found this place and, while I’m so tempted to keep this hidden gem hidden, everyone should have the chance to achieve their fitness goals in a place like this. Whether you're new to fitness or a seasoned athlete, Jaguar is the place to be! Highly recommend!

I've been a member of JagFit for almost four years now (wow time flies!), having joined during the craziness of the pandemic. This place, run by the awesome brothers Adam and Matt, has been my rock through it all.
Adam and Matt are incredibly passionate about fitness and genuinely care about every single member. It's been amazing to watch them grow the gym from a small group of 20+ people to a bustling community of over 100. Their dedication is truly inspiring, and they keep making JagFit better and better. With the support of the great new coach Dan, they're able to manage the constantly growing number of members, ensuring everyone gets the attention and support they need.
The programming at JagFit is fantastic. I've smashed ALL my personal records thanks to their workouts, which push you to your limits in the best way possible (even when it sucks, it's still great!). Through all the highs and lows, JagFit has been a constant source of inspiration, helping me challenge myself both physically and mentally.
JagFit is like my daily dose of therapy. Adam, Matt, and now Dan have created something truly special here. It's the kind of place where you can reset, recharge, and clear your mind after whatever craziness life throws at you. I came to Jaguar with no prior CrossFit experience. However, I knew I needed help. I was weak after suffering Piriformis syndrome the previous year despite rehab. I didn’t feel comfortable running across the street. I tried running at my kids track practice, but was seeing minimal results. As a former D1 athlete, I knew I wasn’t going to get stronger by myself. After the first CrossFit workout at Jaguar, I knew I was going to be better.
It’s a great community and staff. The staff is very accommodating and really worked at my pace. So positive. They make a great environment. Never any pressure. The members are totally cool and friendly as well.
I’m moving out of the area and will miss Jaguar but I’m extremely grateful to where they got in terms of my strength. Oh, funny anecdote; I accompanied my daughter to her high school awards banquet. She said to me; “Daddy, my friends want to know why you’re so shredded.” 😆 I’m 58!! And yes, I can run across the street with confidence!!

After years of sports and countless competitions, I thought I’d seen it all, but Jaguar Strength and Conditioning proved me wrong. The daily progress I see here is beyond satisfying, and that's all thanks to the incredible team of coaches.
Matt isn’t just a coach; he’s a fitness genius. His passion and dedication are on another level, and he has this uncanny ability to see potential in you that you didn’t even know you had. He’s like a sculptor, carefully chiseling away at your limits to reveal the stronger, faster, better version of yourself. Every session with Matt is a masterclass in precision, motivation, and progress. If there’s one person who can turn fitness into an art form, it’s Matt.
Adam, on the other hand, is the heart of this operation. His genuine care for every individual is unmatched. He’s not just about making you stronger physically; he’s there to make sure you’re thriving as a person. Adam’s kindness and empathy create an environment where everyone feels supported and valued. And then there’s Coach Webb—honestly, if there was an Olympic event for spreading good vibes, he’d take gold every time. And then there's Kayla—she’s not just inspiring; she’s the glue that holds this amazing community together. Whether she's pushing us to reach our goals or just sharing a kind word, Kayla is the heart and soul of Jaguar. The best gym I have been to since moving to Chicago! This is the strongest I have ever been especially have 3 knee surgeries. Can’t speak highly enough about Jag. This is not your run of the mill CrossFit gym. Matt and Adam are both phenomenal coaches and truly care about everyone’s progression and fitness/health goals. Matt’s programming is the best I’ve ever found. Every day there are three different workout tracks to choose from (strength & power, build & tone, and technique) which gives you a ton of flexibility to choose your own workout and, if you’re new, learn the movements in a safe and fun way. The community is wonderful (none of those CrossFit clique vibes you hear about just positive, fun energy)… not to mention Matt and Adam celebrate your PRs as if they are their own! For someone who's never done crossfit ever, I had the absolute best experience in this gym! Adam was so welcoming and kind, despite knowing that I'm only in town for work and will not be able to commit to the gym. He noticed and guided me everytime I felt lost (which is like 90% of the time...) The workout was bloody awesome - challenging but manageable as you are able to go at your own pace, and I felt energized and so great after. Everybody was so nice and encouraging too, it was just a great atmosphere. I work out every day and try out different gyms in different cities all the time, and never felt more inclined to write a great review - could not recommend more highly. They also have showers and lockers which was amazing as I was rushing off to a gig right after. I just wish I lived in Chicago so I could come all the time, and of course this will be my first stop next time I'm back! 😊

I've recently completed six months of personal training with Adam starting from being pretty much totally sedentary with the goal to get moving. And the effort has definitely paid off! When I first started I couldn't bench 60 lbs, didn't know what a deadlift was, was tight as a knot in my joints, and had no sense of my strength potential. With the goal of going from zero to motion, Adam's coaching and direction helped me to achieve my personal fitness milestones and more!
It's one thing to reach your first goal of simply showing up to a gym from fewer days to more days, but completely inspiring and motivating when you get to a 100lb bench press and learn to have fun on the ski machine in getting there. As well, spending months working on getting a correct deadlift movement and completing with one 300lb rep is like soaring cloud nine!
Of course some days my personal energy was there, some days it wasn't, and maybe a few times it was there a bit too much - but Adam kept me on target and imparted on me an understanding of working out within an optimal zone and staying away from doing too little or too much.
So if you've never been much of an active or athletic person and are looking to start moving, personal training with Adam is a great place to get started! One of the best decisions I've made in recent years, a great coach to train with in starting your fitness journey!

Where to begin?
JagFit Pros:
1. Elite (but down to earth) Trainers: The trainers / founders (Matt / Adam - they are brothers) are legends - they create an incredible atmosphere, provide thoughtful coaching / tips, and motivate you to leave it all out there on the floor. The sage-like wisdom they provide during every class has helped me improve measurably over a compressed timeframe.
2. Incredible Workouts: I've never have gotten more out of an hour long class than I have at JagFit (and I've done A LOT of Group Fitness classes thanks to my girlfriend, an ex ClassPass addict). They provide programming for Strength, Aesthetics, and Technique (e.g., if you're newer to lifting). PLUS - they alter the program every 8 weeks and provide a detailed but engaging overview of the upcoming program / rationale / structure so you are aligned from the get go. Their programming is an amazing mix of functional bodybuilding, HIIT, and cardio with CrossFIT elements woven in throughout. Also - they have a super flexible schedule with classes from 6am - 630pm.
3. Community: JagFit possesses the most distinctive community of people I've ever encountered in a gym. Everyone is really supportive (no matter your competency / level), and friendly. Whether it's getting through an intense workout, or seeing a classmate hit their max weight in a lift after an 8 week cycle, it's meaningful to go through those trials and tribulations with such an awesome group of people.
4. Dope music: They nailed it - and this is so critical. Think Never Back Down soundtrack-levels of epic. I sometimes secretly Shazam songs on my apple watch while no one else is looking.
5. Technology: They use an app called TRIIB that allows you to seamlessly reserve / book classes, track workouts / weights, and see how you're progressing compared to classmates. Very useful and intuitive.
JagFit Cons:
1. They only have one location and Matt / Adam haven't cloned themselves yet to scale JagFIT across America. I now have anxiety when I think about the inevitable day I have to move away somewhere far away from JagFit.
To close, JagFit has made me look forward to working out again, provided me with so many gains, and improved my workout consistency to all time high levels. My girlfriend and I go on a regular basis (she was a lifting noob until JagFit and is now setting records) and it has become a shared activity of ours. After years of living out of a suitcase and working out in sad hotel / apartment gyms as my body and mental health deteriorated, JagFit has saved me and brought me back to the light!

Jag is a great environment and community for anyone looking to enjoy their workout. I joined after a back injury that had me in PT for 4 months. A huge perk of coming off that injury was that every day at jag has three options: strength, build and tone, and technique. While starting to trust my body to safely lift weights again, I started with technique and quickly got back into Rx workouts. I used to absolutely despise lifting until I found Jag Strength and Conditioning. It truly does have something for everyone; an opportunity to max out, build and tone, or (in my case) learn basic technique. Since I was such a noob in December, I started with technique. I never once felt embarrassed by my lack of knowledge when it came to lifting or exercises in general, and never felt like I was disrupting class or being a nuisance for more tenured people in class. The gym is run by 2 brothers who actually know what you're working on so you aren't dealing with a new instructor every class. Matt and Adam want to help push you to be the best version of yourself in this gym. I've gotten so much stronger since starting, and can honestly say I look forward to coming to these classes. As someone involved in athletics my whole life, and being a triathlete for that last 10+ years, I have experienced my share of fitness centers and personal trainers of all disciplines. A member since their conception, I will tell you there are few, if any experiences that compare to Jaguar Fitness. As owners and trainers, they have a depth and a full spectrum of knowledge in the practice and science of personal fitness. Their 8-week, 3-tier program helps you see your progression, while challenging but not alienating any fitness level.
You add that to the fact that they have created a facility that is comparable to any high end fitness center, an atmosphere that is as comfortable as a private gym, but a grit that feels like you are grinding out of your garage.
As an environment, the Jaguar member community is tight. A stranger at 6:00 AM is a companion by 7:30 AM. But do not confuse this as a Meathead-Only or social "fitness" center. Members of all fitness levels and experience feel welcome. Everyone shows up to put in the work, push themselves and help push you to your limits.

Jaguar Fitness is a beautiful facility, spacious, refreshing and most importantly - welcoming. Brothers Matt and Adam have built a top-notch space, are both very knowledgeable in the mechanics and advanced understanding of fitness and create an environment that is inclusive of those will all athletic abilities and interests. Jag Fit is also in a central location, located in river west which is close proximity on the corner of the loop, west loop, river north, etc. makes it conveniently located for a majority of people. Highly recommend visiting the gym for yourself and giving it a shot!

My fiancé and I went to Jag Fitness for the first time and were immediately greeted with the biggest smiles and hugs from Matt and his brothers that own the business. They walked us through the mission of their gym which is to not necessarily be the strongest or fastest in life but to be fit in your own body for your own life so you can be healthy and feel good no matter what age you are! Adam worked us out in a circuit workout for upper body and it was amazing - I felt great, I melt motivated (thanks to Adam!), and I can't wait to go back when we are back in Chicago for another butt-kicking workout! Thanks Jag team!

I've always struggled to push myself when I go to the gym. I'm the type of person that will lift or run for 30 minutes tops, get bored and leave. I've also always found it difficult to stick to a "workout plan." After only 3 classes at Jaguar Fitness, I can say I've found my motivation and now I don't have to worry about sticking to a workout plan because coaches Matt and Adam already have it set for me. The unique workouts and uplifting music make the 1 hour classes fly by. Each workout is well constructed and you are able to track the workouts as well as your progress on their app. The personalized attention to detail given by the coaches exceed expectation and is far beyond any other workout class I've ever taken. Registering for classes is easy, the workouts are challenging and rewarding, and I always feel great when I leave the gym. I highly recommend trying their 1 week free trial to see for yourself just how great this place is.

Such a great full body workout! I came with a few friends, which made it a lot of fun. We paired up and went through stations. There was a lot of equipment that I hadn’t used before that pushed me to new limits. I’m definitely going to be sore tomorrow!
