Do not recommend this place! Switched to another fitness and I am so happy now!! Everything, from the cleaners, the service, the communication is very rude and not professional. People there criticize you by their looks on what you wear! The employees stare at you very uncomfortably and not smile or explain why they are looking at you like that. When you ask to speak to the manager they put you on hold and the same person answers the phone acting like they are the manager. SAVE YOUR MONEY they will keep calling you few days before you payment due date, very annoying and ridiculously asking to save a card so they have full credit details to charge you a week ahead with your consent! STAY AWAY.

I have no point of comparison as I have not visited other gyms. It was ok. They renovated their pool now which I am not a big fan. I mostly use the gym equipment. Big space, saunas are ok. Friendly staffs, most of them.

Women’s lockerooms are dirty and musty. There are tiny flies in the shower stalls, the water pressure is terrible and the whole place looks like it needs a good scrub down.

I went in person to cancel my membership twice a year ago yet still got charged for my monthly membership the next month. I now got charged my annual fee even though I cancelled my membership a year ago. When I went to the gym AGAIN to cancel my membership, they said there is a $10 cancellation fee and that I have to call customer service to get the annual fee refunded. Customer service has hung up on me twice already.

I recently joined Xport Fitness in Arlington Heights and I must say, it has been the best decision I've made in a long time. One of the reasons I chose this place is it is a well-equipped gym, pool, steam room, sauna, tanning and even a rock climbing wall! They also offer an extensive range of fitness classes led by experienced instructors (ask for PT Nicole- she is amazing, enthusiastic and passionate about helping others reach their fitness goal). Annette was my sales person initially and she is great, friendly, and genuinely concerned all your questions are answered. She set me up here and offered me the best fitness plan. All is good and there haven’t been any issues

I have been a member here for almost 13 years and live nearby. It used to be great. Now it is getting really dirty and rundown with little to no staff. Everything is broken, from the ceiling to the floor tiles to the sauna and steam room and gym. Rates going up yet not even basic cleaning or repairs provided
Last time I was there, the entrance to women's locker room had a massive hole in the ceiling with water pouring down into a trash can. They need to maintain this place!!

9, 2023: THIS PLACE IS FALLING APART. Pieces of the ceiling falling down every day. No more child care....the former child care room now used as junk storage. Many broken machines. No more spa. Rust galore. Broken tiles with sharp edges. Garbage and feces and dirty underwear in the locker rooms. No towels. No spa. Lots of creepy-looking guys who swear a lot.

I’ve been a member since 2002 and today for the first time ever I was offered a complimentary theragun massage therapy session by a new trainer named Keana. She was friendly and very knowledgeable on injury prevention, mobility, and recovery. She didn’t have to but she spent roughly 30 minutes working on areas of tension. And it felt great and my mobility in my upper back and shoulders improved significantly in just one session. For anyone who comes to this location and is looking for a trainer or recovery specialist. Update:

Today I came back after 2 weeks: the locker room was dirty and smelled of urine. The aforementioned issues were not resolved, the manager continues to ask me to join in text messages (I am already a member with the highest membership), and won't get back to me or address the issues,. XSport corporate has not gotten back to me, despite saying they would within 48 hours, 2 weeks ago.

XSport used to be great. Have they stopped caring? Are they not expected to keep a level of cleanliness, at least for health reasons?

The manager, Ryan, was eager to respond while there was up-charging to do. When I messaged him with issues, pictures and videos, he did not respond.

My first time here after just signing up: the steam room is out of order, several lockers are broken, the shower doors are dirty, toilet paper holders are falling off the wall, and I have not yet begun my workout.

Also, most of the showers are missing hooks, bathrooms stall doors don't latch, some of the shower doors are coming off at the hinges, and shower knob just sounds turning the water on and off

I've been a member at Xsport Fitness for over two years now, and prior to Keana joining as the fitness manager, my interactions with the staff, excluding my personal trainer Evan, were minimal and felt transactional. However, since Keana started, my perspective has completely shifted. From the moment she joined, Keana made it her mission to engage with every member, offering her expertise and even introducing me to services I didn't know were available.

During a complimentary session with the Theragun, Keana not only helped me recover from my workout but also enlightened me about the various amenities the gym offers, including Hydro massages, infrared saunas, and the Hydro pod. I have been visiting Niles XSport for almost 1.5 months. And I’m simply horrified by what happened to me and how they treated my problem. I recently moved here from Asia. On December 21, 2023, I came to the gym with my two daughters, we came up and said that we wanted to become members of the gym. General manager Chris (general manager of Niles Xsport) spoke to us and advised us. We just wanted to go to the gym, but not use the services of a personal trainer. But Chris was very insistent that we get a coach. We asked the price and we clearly remember that he said “12 sessions-$159”, but we refused, since it was expensive for us, but he insisted on it all the time, I’m not afraid to say the word “forced”, we continued to refuse to take it, For us this is a lot of money, for my homeland $159 is like $500. Then he started talking, turning on his marketing ploy, saying, “You’ll come and what will you do? You don’t know, and then just stop visiting the gym, etc.” And we agreed, we sat for at least 30 minutes, but we couldn’t understand each other and he kept confusing us all the time. At first we thought that this $159 included membership + personal training, but it turned out not, later. He warned us in advance that on Dec 30, 2023 they would charge $39 from my daughter’s (C.A.) card and then on Jan 15, 2024 $55 for the year, but why didn’t he then say that they would charge money for the trainer again, although we asked him if we would pay extra for the trainer ? He said no, not just once, but several times. The money for personal training and a year's membership went out again at almost the same time, but why didn't he say so? He kept silent. I don’t know, maybe he had already deceived someone in this way and he thought it would work for us. After the second payment of $159 went through, the daughter went to the gym and wanted to talk to him about this transaction, but on the days she was there, he was not there. Instead, she talked to another consultant and he did not understand her because of the language and simply said to wait for Chris until Monday, that he would come next week. Yesterday, Feb 2, 2024, we went to talk to our daughter in the morning, he was not there, the consultant explained to my daughter and put everything clearly in 5 minutes, when the same Chris confused us for +-30 minutes. It turned out that 1 session for 1 hour was $53 and then I was dumbfounded and I was very angry and disappointed. The consultant said the total amount was 12 sessions=$588. I thought that this guy just made a mistake, but he showed me a sheet with tariffs that Chris didn’t show us. Okay, let's think that I'm not being attentive, but at least one of my daughters would understand, right? This consultant said “We say 12 sessions = $159, but we mean that you pay over 4 months, gradually.” But that day we asked the full price for personal training, why Chris made his own conclusion in this case and named the monthly payment. Okay, we can think that he was not going to deceive us, and simply advised us to pay monthly, but then why didn’t he say the total price? Why didn’t you say how much one hour of training with a trainer costs? What if I were a rich person and $588 is not a lot of money for me and I could pay for 12 sessions at once? He hid it from us. He simply wrote the payment for personal training on a regular white A4 sheet. When Chris explained it to us, I swear to God that he did not write or say out loud about these numbers “$588”. If $159 is a lot of money, then we definitely wouldn’t forget $588. We aren’t stupid and we have no memory problem.

Been going to this gym off and on for a bout a year now. Pros: close to home and 24hrs. Cons: Dirty disgusting locker rooms, un maintained equipment, insanely overcrowded at all times of the day and night, weights thrown around all over the place with no order or structure, hand sanitizer stations always empty, staff is never welcoming when walking in, unless they know they can hustle you into a membership. Definitely will be canceling my membership soon, and going to sign up to a more structured, cleanly, welcoming, well maintained gym! Just left the gym about 10 minutes ago and there was at least 70 people in there on every available piece of equipment. Had to only get half a workout in because I couldn’t take the dirty , messy , crowded jungle! Very disappointing Xsport! ✌🏻

Little update on the experience at Xsport fitness in Arlington Hights IL. It was great until it was not. Place needs lots of TLC. Lockers, bathrooms, showers, and spa areas are old and dirty. Sauna doors, lighting needs repairs. Steam room is dark and doesn't work half of the time. There is mold in the shower stalls. Lockers area is usually dirty, and let's not even talk about toilets stoles. They keep raising the prices without investing in the place. Took alway the complementary towels as well. Treadmills and ellipticals are all old, and lots of them dont work half of the time. Saddly, I think it's time to find a new gym, and I am a long-time member.

Literally one of the worst locations I’ve ever been to. I paid up front for a 2 year membership because I had Xsport (different location) in the past and didn’t think I would have an issue. One of the perks I like is the steam room they have. Every time I come here it’s broke and not usable. One time the maintenance guy came and hit the system with a wrench which had it working for a couple days. The pool is dirty and speaking to other members it hasn’t been clean in forever. Most of the equipment is dated. The treadmills barely work! There’s this one that I have to use on the second row that works fully. The showers aren’t clean like they should be. The vibe here is just off and I recently just got a membership somewhere else. The biggest issue I’m having right now is they do not want to give me a refund. I barely used this membership and yes I brought these issues up to management multiple times. Corporate is telling me I can drive to a different location! What?! Why should I have to? This one is 4 minutes from my house. That’s the whole reason I got it.

24/7 open gym. Has dry and wet saunas as well as whirlpool and swimming pool also operated 24/7. As far as I know no other gyms in Chicago metro provide these services.
The gym facility is bit outdated. (They couldn't keep it up probably due to the COVID situation but try hard to maintain.) They have many group classes led by excellent instructors (circuit training, zumba, yoga, FIT, cycling, etc). I am a global traveler, and while I travel one of the things I miss the most is this gym.

This gym has constantly been getting worse and worse over the last 2 years. A bunch of teens and pre- teens from the local middle school and highschool flood this place during most of the out of school hours. It's clear that this place is used as a sort of daycare for most of them. Today finally got to me, 2 of them were full on sprinting throughout the gym extremely unsafely. Multiple staff members saw this and did nothing. My wife even complained when they continued to do it and the personal trainer just shrugged and the teens where disrespectful to her when she mentioned it to them. Beyond that, wieghts are left everywhere, they stay on machines forever, flex in the mirrors and generally act in a way anyone who goes there to workout doesn't want to be around. The gym is dirty, the locker rooms, and bathrooms are gross and the machines are frequently broken. I'd recommend not going here.

I went here once, they really pushed the “you need a personal trainer” after I said NO many times. I think the trainers name was Miguel? Not sure. He really pushed me and not in a good way. just started going here and while it's a large gym with plenty of things to do between the equipment, pool, spa, etc. they really don't seem to take care of it well. the ceiling ventilation system in the pool area is visibly molded and leaking & dripping into the pool, the locker rooms don't seem to be cleaned very often given there's usually garbage the first few lockers I try to use, half the locks on the bathroom stalls don't actually lock, and while I get it's a gym, the smells from the lack of cleaning are apparent... it's a shame to see they respond to the reviews on here generically and don't seem to be making any changes about repeat requests for the same basic maintenance from multiple people.

From unprofessional staff to broken sign up promises. Xsport has officially become the worse Gym to go to for me. The moment I signed up I noticed a change in the staff at two different locations as they did not care at all. Promised me two months and still charged me the same month and on going. Corp office is useless considering they do not pick up the phones nor answer their emails when I attempted to contact them for a full week. However of course the finance department is avail since I locked my cars for them not to get any payments from me. When instructed to go to my main sign up gym, the manager asked me to sit to the side and while he basically flirting with some girl saying he signing her up, meanwhile he has 3-4 other people walking around doing absolutely nothing. So why am I waiting. I definitely won’t miss the smells and creepy guys that go here. Had to cancel membership because I didn’t feel to welcomed and then have the nerve to ask for a $10 cancel fee ..

Filthy, dirty gym. The steam room hasn't worked in weeks, neither has the swimsuit dryer press in the men's locker room. The sauna literally has a constant, stagnant, puddle of water, directly underneath the heating mechanism. The light fixtures in there hardly give any light and look broken. Pool is obviously rarely cleaned, maybe once a month. The whole pool and hot tub area look as though insulation from the ceiling is flaking off onto swimmers. They don't seem to use any membership dues to maintain, let alone improve, the quality of this gym.

Dirty. Stinky. Constantly something does not work . The hamam works for 1 day , then does not work for a week . The apparatus for pressing a swimsuit breaks almost always , no one is in a hurry to repair . Chlorine is poured into the pool many times exceeding the standard ( it hurts the eyes , the smell makes it bad )
There is almost always no soap in the showers . It is also often forgotten to replenish hand - made paper towels in time .
THE MOST DISGUSTING GYM IN MY ENTIRE LIFE !!! This is the last month I 've been coming here . I will change the hall to a more civilized one . Shame on this hall !!!👎

Would give 0 stars if I could. Called XSport asking about membership options and right off the bat the person on the phone (the manager) was extremely aggressive getting mad I was spelling my name too fast. I came in with a friend to discuss with the manager who I spoke to on the phone whose name is HOPE. Within 5 minutes of the conversation me and my friend felt angry, irritated, disrespected, and ready to leave. The manager Hope was acting very entitled and egotistical like we were here on HIS time and were there for him and not the other way around. He made fun of me and my friend for not understanding all the details of the memberships and mocked us for not paying attention and basically called us stupid without saying the word. He was EXTREMELY rude and I can’t emphasize this enough. If I hadn’t researched prior to coming in and decided I’m going to choose to get a XSport membership beforehand, I would’ve walked out while he was talking. Unbelievable how someone can turn a customer away within 5 minutes of speaking. Managers on a power trip and needs to be checked. Place is messy and overcrowded and doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in weeks. Might be the worst gym I’ve ever been to. Manager might be the dumbest person in the world thinking he can act like this and still get customers and not face the repercussions. DO NOT GO HERE. Owner should fire the manager and find someone who’s actually a good person and good at his job. Will be going to other xsports from now on.

Opened 5 lockers before I found one that was not filled with trash. The bathroom sink was overflowing all over the floor. There were no paper towels in any of the dispensers. Dip machine has a broken grip. The temperature in the gym was so uncomfortably hot because this place is probably too cheap to set the AC to a good temperature. Seriously guys.... This place is an absolute dump. Management and ownership has ZERO pride in their business. I'd recommend any gym except this one.

Worst place I've ever worked out at. For 1, nobody's here in the morning. Either in the back sleeping or they don't show up. The place is dirty. It's never Stocked with paper towels soap to clean your hands etc. The list goes on. Horrible place.

Gym is a freaking dump!!! Old broken down machines, dumbbell rack has different dumbbells that look like they were purchased from Wal-Mart, pool water looks like dirty dish water!! One of the worst xsport I've ever been to.

Basketball courts are piled with dust and sweat and workers have no care to clean it ever and there are many people slipping and getting injured because of it. The courts ac also seems to be broken and they just replaced it with a fan and it doesnt do anything to the heat and humidity of the gym. Please clean the gym

Customer Service:

I called xSport fitness on 02/14/23 @ 11:30 AM and spoke with Sandy. I spoke to her and stated I tried the gym, and I was not happy with the gym and CLEARLY stated gym equipment was extremely old and broken. Also the gym pool was dirty, to which she walked me thru how to cancel the service and to get a refund. She also stated I will get an email when it is cancelled since her back hand team handles it and she cant cancel my membership. About a month I noticed a charge on my credit card of $5.00 for service fee and $40 for cancellation. But when I asked her will I get a Full refund she said YES and she never mentioned the any cancellation charges to me. So, I was LIED to about cancellation policy and fees. I was told by the rep that all the money will be refunded and I won’t be charged for it. What xSport did is DEFAMATION and I should not be charged for their mistake of not training the rep on their policy. Already contacted my Credit Card company but they denied my claim and didn’t provide a reason but; why would some pay for DEFAMATION for xSport Rep screw up. I cancelled within 24 - 48 HRS.

Any they are still charging my Credit Card and wont stop but I dont have access to online system to cancel my membership.

If there was a -10 stars I would leave it for xSport.

I went to Arlington heights location and it was super nasty place and equipment.

Nice gym, the court needs to be fixed and renovated. Steam and Sauna rooms are great, pool is amazing when it's open, and most pedals on equipment are usually broken in some way. Free weights are awesome, all squat racks are perfect, and the locker room is a sophisticated maze like every above average xsport.

Told I’d get 3 free personal trainings for free then charged for them. After hours of arguing with corporate I was told I would get the refund. Then, I was told the refund was given to a card I did not own. I was told the bank gave them the new information. I do not own the card or a visa card (the one that was given the refund). When I asked to speak to Suzan, the person who told me I would get the refund, I was told she doesn't work there anymore then hung up on. I was also lied to more times than I can count (3 free personal trainings, my bank giving them information, my identity being stolen, that I was signed up on a contract for 12 personal trainings, the list goes on).

Go somewhere else like Fitness 19. It will save you hours and hours of headaches if something goes wrong with billing. Xsport will also lie about anything and everything.

Don't go here unless you want to get harassed by staff. I've been going to this location for almost 10 years. My last trip last night (left an hour ago), the front desk man accused me of stealing something from the fridge. When I asked him about what the claims to have seen, he changed his story from seeing me definitely taking something to "I thought I saw you take something". I asked him to view the camera footage and he suddenly claimed he didn't have access to it. Y'all. You can't stand by the doors and wait for your husband to pull up the car otherwise they'll think you stole a $3 energy drink. Guys name was Jeff, looked homeless, so he'll be recognizable. Stay far away, go to lifetime instead.

Please stop selling memberships for $9.95, it's a very crowded gym, it's always full of people and the bathroom is dirty, better if you go up to $25, you will have less people but make same money and the customers will have a better workout, do that if you really care about your customers.

This gym is getting worse and worse. The thing that the staff and managers care the most is to fit a lot of people in the gym without any limits, not thinking about how people are going to have a productive workout and share all the machines with gym being so busy and crowded…..it’s very frustrating with so many people in the gym and even unable to breath normal, the air stinks there. Stop caring only about money, care about your customers!

Update 02/22/22

Locker rooms smell really bad always, even after they cleaned the floors and the toilets.
For real the locker room reeks and you know it.

Showers are gross, mold all over the walls, doors lools so stained with dry soap. And moste of them need new shower heads.

What happend with closing early hours so you can clean the gym ? Well its aboit time to do ao or more 1 start reviewies will appear. I will change my review when i see any improvements. Or else it will be time to look for other options.

I had my wallet stolen along with cash 💵 that was there I went back 5 mins to see if I left it there it was gone next day I received a text message that someone return it I came in to pick it up and off course the cash was gone when I ask who return the guy didn’t know he just started his shift. I see several posts of people having their lockers broken into and having their money taken and stolen I will be reporting this facility to corporate to shut it down. This is not a a way to conduct business with a customer and not have an investigation done in this place despite the many cases of customers complaints of their wallets being stolen this happen to me 01/01/2023 great way to start the year.

I have been a member here for some time. I decided to bring my wife as a guest. All good until someone stole her wallet from the locker. We reported it stolen, no one saw anything and today someone turned it in. They texted us from management and we picked it up!
Obviously, cash was not present, but at least her ID and license were there. When asked do you have any idea who gave it back, the answer was we don’t know?! Different shifts, different people, I understand.
I am not giving a bad review for the gym or staff, just giving a bad review for the customers that are going there.

BEWARE OF THIEFS: My mom started noticing cash missing from her wallet after she attends xsport. One morning she went to Zumba class and decided to leave early, walked into dressing room and saw a woman opening moms lock with an instrument and taking her wallet (brown skin, black hair, was wearing black clothes, has tattoo on right arm) . The lady turned around and was shocked to see my mom standing there, begged to not complain on her. She said “your lock was easy to unlock” and gave my mother her wallet back. I called the gym spoke with front desk. My mother also told the front desk and showed them who the lady is, she was told a report will be filed with police and the lady will not be at this gym any longer. Two weeks went by, she is still there(uses the stair master and walks around gym mostly every day). We were both told this is a serious issue and one woman had $500 stolen from her purse. My mother does not feel comfortable going into the gym now knowing that her lock will be broken and something might be stolen. It’s very disappointing the gym does not do anything to protect the customers and keeps these thiefs without punishment. She will be switching gyms asap. Please be aware and and check your wallets after gym!

I had to cancel my membership here due to bullying. Went here for months early mornings on weekends, until i was harassed by a couple of guys who thought I was taking too long on machines. They yelled at me, followed me around, hovered over me on machines until I would leave. Staff could not care any less, if there was even someone at the desk that early. I would take my girlfriend as well, and now have to find a new gym because of how uncomfortable and stressful this situation made her. I hope no one has a similar experience as us, because no amount of bullying is okay when people just want to workout.

Weights and lifting is decent. Treadmills are good for the most part.

Basketball court has a leaking that hasn't been fixed for 6 months now. Slippery and dangerous. Basketball floor has air pockets ( wood rising) and is outdated. Multiple people have been getting hurt. Less people showing up due to this big safety issue. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I HIGHLY recommend Mike the personal trainer. He is professional, personable, & has great work ethic. He truly makes you feel comfortable. He helped me loose 40 lbs over a few months and built up my confidence in the gym.
Gym wise, there has been more attention to the broken machines and getting them repaired. It’s a big gym, go in the morning if you prefer no crowds. The gym gets busy 3pm-9pm.

This gym is gradually getting worse and worse.
Equipment is not fixed or taken care of.
2 out of 6 stair machines are down and have been down for weeks. Not too sure why they haven’t been replaced or fixed considering the amount of people that would like to use these.
There should also be a time limit on how long you can hog a machine. I have been waiting here for exactly 25 minutes and counting, still no sign of someone getting off so I can do my 10-15 min work out.
There should definitely be a time limit.
Lady in blue all the way to the left has had the machine for 60 minutes…. LOL ridiculously inconsiderate.

I was a member for over 10yrs...and unfortunately saw a decline in staff and facility. Then covid hit and the gym never recovered. Gym was never put back to 24hrs and equipment was broke and dirty. Also the cable attachments were always missing too. Took weeks to get my membership canceled and I left a few months ago to another gym.

First month I was there, they were not open 24 hrs. I tried my best to find a time. Wanted to join a class the only one available is at 5:00 pm worked my schedule and when I finally was ready I found out the child care was not available. (Pool was closed for quite some time) I’m paying the premium subscription. Finally when they open 24 hrs. I was happy. went there and bathrooms were filthy. This goes with out mentioning that employees don’t care about the facility at all, there is people with what it would look like a picnic area on top of the equipment or around it. towels, bags and everything they could carry to the gym? It’s frustrating to try to do your work out when equipment is busy with people on their phones. I haven’t cancelled yet. You have to send a certified letter to request the cancelation. Last time I was there there were signs that if you have a guest they don’t have access to all the amenities so what’s the point to allow you a guest ?? Which by the way the time my bf joined me, someone went thru his stuff yes the locker was unlocked since he didn’t have anything but his clothes so nothing was missing. My daughters friend got her AirPods stolen. Yeah they tell you, the facility is not responsible for stolen items but really?
