The gym misrepresented how the membership and cancellation works to get me signed up. The men’s washroom urinal has been out of service for the last 15 days filled with the same urine. There was no toilet paper in the stalls. Please look at other options and believe the reviews and overall rating.
I was told I can sign up for a month, cancel any time and since I paid out for a month, I’ll be able to work out but if you cancel in advance to make sure you are not charged for the next month, they cancel the membership immediately and you have paid for the entire month but don’t get to use the gym membership till the end of the time you paid for.

There is a new manager there on the weekend since May. The whole gym is cleaner. All the small weights everywhere are organized on the rack and machines. I can always find the paper towel and spray no problem finally. Biggest things I noticed, everything works now too!

Dirty and equipment is old and always broken. They have a total of 11 treadmills which is already ridiculous. What makes it worse is that 5 or 6 of the treadmill are ALWAYS out of order. If people want to get in a 15 or 20 minute walk as a part of their routine it’s impossible because there’s 5 treadmill for 60+ guests to share l. Did I mention dirty? The staff is nice though. I joined when I lived in Downers Grove where there are two nicer xsports there that have working equipment & group fitness classes worth attending. This location is just so bad.

This has to be the filthiest gym that I ever been to since joining 5 gyms in the last 25 years. The men's locker room is disgusting. I come to the conclusion that guys treat the locker room the way it's taken care of. If janitors are not getting paid to maintain the locker room clean, guys will treat it 3rd class. 3 days seeing the same clothes on the floor with a filthy underwear. The same toilet paper on the floor for 3 days. Sometimes there is no toilet paper. Half the time you walk in there is a stench like sitting poop in the toilet but not sure where that stench is from. Other issues, sometimes they're are kids young as high schoolers play fighting in the locker room. Guys throwing footballs across the room. If you have serious goals, this place will feel like you're in a high school with freshman. They need a janitor and a babysitter for high schoolers at this location. It's hard to be a member at this place.

I've been coming here for 3 years. The staff are nice, hence the 2 stars. However, the cleanliness, the operations of the machines, the saunas functioning is subpar to put it nicely. Every week, there is something broken/out of order. I usually go in the morning and there's weights everywhere, at times I and others cannot use the treadmills not because there's a full house, but due to a handful of them being out of service, so that only leaves a few able to be used that are working properly. I cannot tell you how many times after a workout I go to sit in the sauna and the heat is very low or it's cold inside. I was told it means it's broken. As a paying customer the expectation is that all amenities be in working order on a consistent basis (that's a big reason why as customers we choose services based on the expectations that have been presented to us). I fully understand the importance of maintenance and every once in a while things will be out of order, but on a weekly basis is ridiculous. XSport Express, please do better. It's time to reinvest, upgrade, something. As for me it's time for a new gym that can live up to their own expectations.

Very friendly staff who are always willing to help. Very good variety of machines. You will never be out of an exercise for upper body. However, there could be more machines and racks for legs, but sufficient enough when not crowded. Small footprint for a gym, it's actually surprising how much equipment they fit in here. Overall a great atmosphere, staff, machines, and equipment - especially for the price!

Been coming here since 2012. I like that they are 24 hours, i like that they have a sauna & i liked that they were cheap. It wad $9.95 for 11 years. The price was raised twice within the last year and for what? They have remodeled once in 12 years. The equipment is all very old. Weights stick together and equipment is frequently broken for weeks on end. Remember how i said i liked how they have a sauna? Its currently broke. The gym? Constantly filthy, paper towels and toilet paper are never stocked. Meanwhile the employees just sit at the front desk or mess around with their friends the entire time. I have loved and been loyal to x sport for a very long time but this gym is in a downward spiral. I am moving before the end of the year and I am beyond excited to upgrade to a better gym. Smfh.

Honestly, you get what you pay for here.
Old machines that often times broken or waiting for parts. A broken glass that hasn’t been fixed in years. Always missing toilet paper or paper towels to clean the equipment. Bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in months. Dust all over the place. Think of an old school gym with current day prices. It’s honestly the only option in this town.

Would be a 5 stars, but they let some guy run around the gym with his own speaker at full volume while the gym speaker keeps on playing as well. Really sucks for every other person in the gym that has to listen to two songs at the same time.

I went to this location for the first time today, I usually go to the one in Downers Grove or Naperville. I’ve never seen such a run down, outdated, dumpy gym until I got here! And I’ve been to multiple LA Fitness Planet Fitness locations etc. I gave 2 stars because honestly the staff was super friendly and helpful, they were willing to answer any questions I had and help me with the massage chair, I can give credit where it’s due. But I cannot ignore how many broken machines there were, I think I hit 3 in a row. The machines that were working were screeching so loud I could hear it through my AirPods. Gym was extremely crowded and hot like a sauna, I thought it was storming outside because of how foggy the windows were! No room to workout, although this location is significantly smaller in size than others I have been to it was very uncomfortable and I wanted to get out as soon as possible. I don’t like to give bad reviews I know people can be complete a-holes on here but this is a message for corporate, this location needs a lot of updating. New machines that aren’t rusted over and squealing, updated bathrooms etc I was shocked this is an Xsport gym..

I was really hoping new management was going to clean this place up but it's still a dump. Nobody (clients or staff) puts the weights were they belong, there's never enough barbell clips, and the knurling is worn smooth on almost every handle and piece of equipment. I've personally asked the staff and the manager to start doing something, anything, about the place to no effect. Half the time the staff can't get the tanning/massage beds working and the hours they're actually open are far from 24/7/365 as advertised. If you're looking for a gym, keep searching. For what they charge you can do better almost anywhere else.
Update: 2/23 After almost 2 years there's been absolutely no improvements. Still packed full of kids that don't follow the guidelines and run by kids that just sit on their butts all day. I can't even get these guys to learn how to work their own tanning beds. Garbage everywhere. Equipment spread across the floors. Garbage cans overflowing. Sanitizing spray always empty. I wish I wouldn't have gotten a 2 year subscription.

Haven’t used the gym since 2021 and Im getting random $50 charges at the end 2022 as if the membership hasn’t been cancelled for a while now. Idk what’s the issue as I know I’m not the only one who has dealt with random charges. This also isn’t the first time I’m going to have to dispute a xsport charge on my card…please do better.

Came from planet fitness. Most equipment isn't quite as new but that's not really a problem for me. The amount of equipment (free weights and machines) is easily double that of planet fitness. Best part is that this gym doesn't punish you for actually trying to powerlift or bodybuild with a goofy lunk alarm. Planet fitness is for your average person. Xsport is for your more serious gym goers.

I used to work out at this xsport back when I lived in Bolingbrook many years ago. I came into town recently and tried to get in a workout but not only did I not get to workout but it ended up being a terrible experience. My buddy had a 7 day pass which is why he brought me along, we were told the pass only applies to IL residents and were asked to pay $20 for a day pass. I didn't appreciate the person at the front desk not willing to work with us.

The gym is truly a “get what you pay for” experience. This is not a knock, rather a statement of fact. A big area of potential improvement is in general cleanliness. Especially in these time of Covid, it would be nice if they cleaned on occasion - maybe get crazy and encourage staff / members to wear a mask….
UPDATE: For the second time this week, the gym did not open at it’s NEW operating hours. It’s extremely irresponsible to disrupt the schedule of customers who get up early to work out. I know that management doesn’t care, but I have a solution: leave the doors unlocked. I promise nobody wants to steal your old broken equipment. It will be fine. Revising from 2 to 1 star.

I’ve been coming here for years and have been a member that also has partaken in private training sessions. Out of the xsports I’ve been to second to Naperville, it has mostly been a clean location. My personal trainer is the best and we’ve even became close friends, he helped train me to pass my cpat, which is required to be hired on most worthwhile fire departments. Over 50% of women fail it, I passed it. However, there is virtually no adherence to state or local mask protocols, and it’s kind of a free for all. Leadership is non-existent. From the top to the bottom none of the leadership wears any face masks. There’s a male trainer and a female trainer whom I’ve seen around wearing their masks and I commend them. But they are literally the only ones I’ve seen wear one. This has made me second guess my membership and the sole reason why I still hold a membership here is because of the personal trainer whom I’ve forged a friendship with
It’s sad that xsport corporate has one mission statement and policy on their homepage about precautions they’ve taken, and for it to not be reflected here. Their homepage says all staff members must wear a mask, and I’ve yet to see that. It’s not my rule, it’s literally on the xsport page regarding safety precautions.

TRYING to cancel my membership for the past 3 months now, they still bill me, I’ve called and complained multiple times and seems to be doing nothing, no email that I can use to contact someone professional! Manger seems to only be there on MONDAYS and no other day, went in 4 times to cancel and nothing seems to work, don’t bother coming here if you want good customer service

Do not even think about going to this gym, for anything. I am a college student and told them that I was looking for a gym in a summer for when I come back. They were so kind to offer me a 7 day trial, making it explicitly clear I can cancel whenever before these 7 days were over. When I try and cancel they say I can not do it over the phone, and my emergency contact can't either! Straight up going to get my money unfairly taken from me, money that I barley even have.

Absolutely horrible, and I mean horrible. If you do anything, do not sign up for this gym. They gipped me into a dollar trial in which using my card, and then preceded to tell me that I could cancel before being charged if I needed to. Trying out the gym, I realized it wasn't for me and asked to cancel the membership. Then, like stated in MANY previous reviews, these cons told me I couldn't cancel and that I would be forced to get charged $40 for only going into the gym ONCE. I am taking my complaint up with corporate and do not want another innocent gym goer to get robbed like me and my friends have. if I can tell you one thing, STAY AWAY from these CONS.

March 2020, I tried to cancel my membership. Went in and talked to Carlos who is the manager. Carlos is the only one who can cancel your membership. Go through the process and he doesn't cancel it yet tells you he will in person. I plan on reporting to the better business bureau. I filed a complaint with my credit card company for the charge that I should not be charged. I then received a voicemail confirmation from Carlos in March that my account was canceled. I have the voicemail still saved! I stopped being Charged. THEN IN AUGUST I START GETTING CHARGED AGAIN.
UPDATE I AM STILL GETTING CHARGED! Fraudulent Charges! I need help! Some one from corporate needs to contact me. I talk to MAX the manager and he refused to talk to me. Told his coworker to tell me to call Corporate. Very professional right? My bank now has fraudulent charges investigation on x sport.
Update Just wrote NBC 5 investigates. Thankfully I saved the voicemail of Carlos from last March stating my membership was being canceled.

On a corporate level, they are scam artists. I submitted proper paperwork to terminate my membership in October 2020, noticed they continued to bill me through January '21, and when I called to notify them of the error, they claimed they never got the paperwork. I filled it out in the gym. I don't live in Illinois, I had no reason to not cancel the membership. They "Lost" the paperwork and stole money from me for 3 months.
The gym is fine, but go somewhere where they won't scam you.

Still closed and for some reason my bank was charged after they reopened some of their branches but not this one? They have a history of stealing people’s money, and ignoring requests for refunds, for services that were never provided! Loved meeting the staff at this specific location, the whole team goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. The facility is always clean and it’s in the most convenient location possible here in bolingbrook! My personal trainer helped me FULLY recover from a bad accident in just 6 months!! (something my physical therapist of 8 months couldn’t do) I highly recommend this specific club for ANYONE looking to make a lifestyle change and have fun while going through the process.

An ok place to work out for the price. It’s 10 bucks a month for membership so don’t expect the best experience. But it has mostly what you need for a workout experience. It is month to month but they do have an annual fee also, so that might surprise you. The equipment is pretty old and not the prettiest but like I said, for the price it is great. I come here in the morning and there isn’t too many people.

The club seems to be trying to make improvements. New management again but he seems to be caring and friendly towards the staff and is always cleaning or helping someone. Rick or Nik? Showers need a good scrub but the locker room smells less. Havent seen to much broken equipment lately. For the money it's worth it!! Still a bit salesy but every gym I've been to is. - Oliver

Much better than the bigger Naperville location on 75th but still pretty consistently full of bro-bodies and a packed parking lot. Smelly locker rooms but a good overall mix of equipment and open space. Would love to see higher quality fitness classes, especially yoga

Love this Xsport Location! I am here every week on Friday evenings, as I teach a Zumba Class here. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The Manager Steve seems to be very connected to the community here in Bolingbrook and always ready to be of service. I have witness him have great motivating conversations with members and our youth. Keep it going.

We wanted to reactivate our membership at the Xsport in Bolingbrook but was on the fence. After speaking to Balil, Asst Manager, we were extremely happy with his customer service and rejoined that night. He was very helpful and professional.

Jarvis is a complete idiot. The management there only cares about money. I cancelled my personal Training because of the AGM Jarvis. Even after cancelling I’m being charged. I’ve called Corp for four days in a row with being on hold for over an hour. XSport Fitness is a Scam Artist

The staff are not knowledgeable and their customer service is lacking to say the least. I was told I couldn’t return an unused product that I didn’t use with a receipt a few days after it was purchased (not food), I never received a key card to get in the gym, my account wasn’t fully set up for me to access the app before I left after signing up, and AFTER I finally canceled my membership I’m now still being charged! Owen (managed) and Steve (district manager) are non-responsive. I can’t believe companies like this are able to stay afloat with employees like them.

After I cancelled my membership they kept deducting a monthly fee as if I were still signed up. I eventually confronted them, but they denied any wrongdoing. I called my bank to have the deductions stop and to get my money back. I was reimbursed, but Xsport continued to take money out of my account. I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one.

The best thing about this gym is the inexpensive rate, location and hours of operation. It’s definitely a get in and get out type of gym. I’ve been going here off and on since it was Powerhouse way back in the day so I’ve learned not to expect much from this place. Get in and get get out, don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed

So here’s xsport fitness in a nutshell.
It sucks. First off, the facility is not neat at all. It’s very dirty and dusty inside, along with the fact that something is always not working. The staff is sub par. The equipment looks like someone else used it. On top of that, the personal training is horrible. Every single personal trainer is a salesman. Are they licensed to train people?!? I was having shoulder pains after a hard workout for a couple of weeks and had to take time away from the gym because of it!! On top of that, the manager is always wooing young women. The staff is sub par on a good day. No one looks happy. No wonder the turnover rate is so high. They don’t have any good supplements. A personal trainer told me, and i quote, “dude, don’t buy any of that s**t”. Real professional. Everyone of their staff is always on their phones. It’s just a terrible atmosphere in which I feel shamed to workout alongside my personal trainer who DOESN’T KNOW nor respect my physical capabilities. All and all, from the crummy environment, to the broken equipment, to the sub par staff, to the general manager who is wooing young women all the time, to the personal training, and the shaming, it is AWFUL! They even wanted to charge me $2000 over 5 months for low quality training!! The nerve of those people. I’m cancelling my membership.

I’ve been going here for years. This gym is the best place for serious workouts in the Bolingbrook area. The other patrons will often help spot you and encourage you to push harder. Jr is a great trainer and has been there the longest, he’s always busy, but I’m sure you can carve out some of his time if you really want to hit your workout goals. I’ve had memberships at Lifetime fitness & LA fitness all at the same time, but I like this Xsport much better.

Overcharged $400 in the last 6 months.
We signed up for a family membership during a promotional period where we were to receive 50% off a family membership.
We were told it is $35 per month for a membership of 2 people, plus $234 start up and an annual charge of $35. The salesman informed us that we would receive 50% off the monthly price plus 50% off the start up. We sat with him and went over the numbers about 10 times since we were shopping around. He guaranteed us that the price would be $17 per month for the BOTH of us, and that the initial start up would be $117.
We were charged $117, but in TWO charges for the total $234. We have been charged $35 per month TWICE a month, for a total of $70. This has been since November. This is $400 more than we were promised.
It seems me to that they entered each me and my husband into our OWN family memberships to double charge us.. but even then there has not been a discount of the monthly charge from $35 to $17. Staff is extremely unhelpful over the phone.
If this does not get resolved, we would rather quit and pay more somewhere else that doesn't lie to customers at start up.
BEWARE and KEEP YOUR PAPERWORK! I will be locating my copies to send in.

Honestly, great location been coming here for a while now. My Last visit I went to purchase a milk from the fridge and the lady at the desk ran my card and I left. I noticed as I got to my car the milk was 3 months expired, so I go back inside and ask for another. So I go to grab another only to find out they are all 3 months expired. So I grab a whole different drink altogether because at this point it’s just ridiculous you guys can keep milk in the fridge 3 months after their exp date. The girl at the front didn’t know how to swap the drinks in the computer, so I ended up already paid for a more expensive drink that I couldn’t even have and settle for something else.

This Gym is PHENOMENAL! Very clean, the staff is polite and helpful and they keep a good eye on the kids. Mike is a good trainer and helps me keep focused even when I’m not scheduled for a personal training session. I’m always pleased when I leave. Highly Recommend if you’re looking for results. Ask for Mike or Jarvis!

I’ve had the best experience at this location. I signed up for the personal training sessions and Miguel(Mike) has been phenomenal. He not only spends an hour training with me but when I’m not in the gym he sends me diet recommendations to make sure I reach my goals. He is sure to put my goals first and I’ve lost 25 pounds within the last couple months. I’m very pleased. The facility is clean and everyone is always pleasant. The child care facility is helpful as well! Jarvis manages the trainers and he does a phenomenal job following up to make sure we feel our needs are being met. It’s a great staff! Feels like family and I highly recommend talking to Jarvis Thrasher or Miguel about your short term and long term training goals!

Get a membership n personal training session if u want to get robbed. They just trapped thier customer. I m trying to cancel my membership beacuse this gym is not comfortable for me or my lil baby. Just be careful about thier child area. N they fired my Personal trainer without telling any of thier customers. I went thier for 1 month n already paid 150 for personal training n extras for monthly fee. Now they are saying you have to pay $1650 to cancel your membership. Is it a joke? For a month i have to pay $1650. Dont ever get trapped here.

Facility is decent, good place to get a workout in. Nothing extra. The 1 star rating is because the staff has extremely poor customer service including the manager. If you want a gym where you dont feel welcomed then this is the place for you. Xsport also makes it very irritating for you to cancel your membership, requiring a letter by certified mail or to come in when the manager is in and fill out a form durring specific hours. You'll find that anytime you need assistance you are required to ppan around the manager's schedule, regardless of if you have a job and cannot do so. I'll say it one last time, this place has TERRIBLE customer service.

Gym itself is very good but Xsport Fitness joining and cancellation policy is very sketchy. Before signing up with them, one of sales guy told me that it's only $19,95/ month and I could cancel membership whenever I want informing them 1 month upfront I wish to cancel the membership which is fair enough for me as well, but after 15 days they charged me $35 dollars for membership fee without informing me. Second thing which is also sketchy is that after I cancel the membership live at the fitness club, front desk guy told me that I'm in debt of $19.95, so I give him cash and asked for receipt, but he told me that I don't need any receipt and my membership is canceled (which is also very sketchy isn't it?). 2 days after that I see that Xsport Fitness is still charging me, but right now full amount of charge is $30 even though I'm not a gym member anymore.
So you could decide if you want to use them or not.

IF YOU THINK THIS PLACE CARE FOR THEIR CLIENTS, YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG. Earlier this week was my son last personal training session, I was reluctant to renew for more further sessions, but this sweet talker Manager got involved and pressurized me to sign the contract for renewal even though I was keep saying I want it to come tomorrow and decide, he wasn't taking no for answer, and assuring me that even if I change my mind later on, it's easy to cancel. NO ITS NOT.
Next day I went there to cancel it, because we realized that in couple of months of training we didn't see any difference so it's not worth it to spent more money and time for these sessions. I met that Manager and WOW, his attitude was totally different and said I can't help you anything with that, use your tag 1800 #, and when I request could you atleast talk or send note to head office about this cancellation or tell me what is the process for cancellation, he rudely said call the 1800 #.
Overnight attitude got change.
Anyhow I call that #, she also talked in a rough manner and ordered it has to be a written letter, sign, id # and everything and got to be delivered within 3 business days, can't be email or fax. I did went to post office and did priority certified mail to the address she said that same day, it got delivered on that POBOX on 9/13 but they picked it up on today 9/14 at 9:00 am. Right after when I saw the tracking notification from USPS, I called the xsport 1800 # again for verification, and that person said, called after Wednesday 9/19, then we will be able to let you know we received it. Then after that it will take up to 30+ days to process that request. Wow I didn't know we are living in stone age.
Just an advice for others, never sign anything there even if are trying to be sweet talkers or pressured you because once you made their transaction, they don't know who you are.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, I had my brother sign up for training and not only after 2 months I have seen no difference, trainer cancelled on us many times for his own vacations but when I tried to cancel the renewal agreement, initially the manager told me it would be an easy process and the awful manager that was consistently pressuring us to sign the renewal agreement, the next day I went to xsport to cancel the initial agreement, and the manager said “I CANT DO NOTHING FOR YOU, CALL THE 1800 NUMBER, ITS NOT MY PROBLEM” very unprofessional people working here, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND NEVER AGREE OR SIGN UP TO THIS GYM OR ANY PATHETIC TRAINER HERE, then I ended up calling that number and even there the lady over the phone rudely said “YOU BETTER SEND A WRITTEN LETTER WITHIN 3 BUISNESS DAYS AND WE CANNOT ACCEPT FAX OR EMAIL” this entire gym is and business is just so money hungry and don’t care about the actual client, keep this attitude up and I’m sure your buisness will go down drastically.

I used to love this gym actually. Convenient location, helpful staff, the basic accommodations a gym should have - but unfortunately, over the course of the passed couple of years I have been charged on my membership when the account should have been frozen. I was warned by many colleagues and peers about XSport having a history of unwarranted charges and to watch my accounts - just in case! The first couple of times staff and management had been readily available to help solve the problems of unknown charges as well as clear up any fees. But, when I called today I was placed on hold without being told, hung up on, and given no reason as to why I’m being charged again.
I don’t know if this is how you handle your customer service, how you train your staff to handle things like this or how you deal with problems such as this but it is not appreciated by any means. I’ve worked in numerous versions of customer service positions and/or positions that are very much at the forefront of caring for people, and I’ve got to say - I am pretty disappointed.
