Guys up front were incredibly rude I had a guest pass and they declined to let me in saying that it’s after 9. I respectfully asked if I could buy a day pass and they said it would be $20 to which I said no problem and this other guy goes actually I cant let you play basketball. This other worker goes I can sell you a membership for $70 a month that’s the only way you get in today. I said no he goes yeah no other option but I can sell you a pass. Worst experience at a gym ever the level of professionalism is 0. I’m personally in sales and have been doing it for over 5 years and always strive to make the consumer happy so they return if your management here at this location look at your night crew for 11/25 and reconsider them for a janitor position because they deserve to scrub toilets with how crappy the attitude was. I never leave bad reviews but nothing about these guys was positive.

Who ever is at the front tonight 10/28/26 woke up on the wrong side of the bed. He has been rude to my son all evening. My son's guest shows up at 9:00PM & he turns him away. My son told him its 9 & can he make an acception and he said no. Now my son left to play basketball outside at a park with his guest. The Gym has great and suficiente equipment, even though some guys use 2 machines at the same time, the bad side of it is CLEANLINESS!, the climbing wall space STINKS! You can smell mold as soon as you step in, and machinery up stairs are unbelievably dirty, the room gets so hot because of the missing shades when using the leg machines the sun is all up on your face! !

While it may not be an ideal location for everyone, this gym still provides the basics that I need. Yes, it can be a bit dirty and plenty of machines or services are unavailable at times, but since LA took over I've seen small improvements and changes to the overall facilities that other reviews neglect to mention. Many things that were neglected by both xsport and whoever actually owns that parking lot, that led the gym to fall apart have slowly been fixed or will be addressed in the future according to one male staff member i usually see in the mornings. So while it may not look the best right now, I'm sure its only a matter of time before this place can be restored to its former glory.
Also, someone NEEDS to fix the ventilation. There is a ridiculous amount of dust that accumulates on a DAILY basis that I sometimes see fall from the ceiling, even after the floors are cleaned in the mornings.
And I don't know why so many members just sit around chatting, or are on their phones and hogging the equipment for nearly 20 minutes at a time or just leaving equipment EVERYWHERE. Like come on, have some common courtesy and clean up after yourself, you're a bunch of grown adults! Someone needs to address this, its ridiculous!

I go to the LA Fitness location on Addison & Kimball. It's great but overcrowded and traffic is horrible with the Kennedy bridge construction. This location is closer. It has a free parking garage, which is great. Unique machines, which I think it nice, but they need some TLC. The gym is extremely dirty. My hands turned gray after using one of the ellipticals for 30 minutes. I will go here sometimes because it is quieter, less competition for machines, but I don't understand why LA Fitness isn't sprucing this up a bit.

I became a member at 8/10/25. A staff name A got the registration. He persuaded me to buy two sessions and gave me one session for free of instructor training which totally would be 3 sessions.
At 8/16, I texted A to let him cancel my membership since my coworker just pays $30 for every month, but I need to pay $50. A didn’t do anything.
I confronted A on 8/17, and he canceled my membership. He promised me I wouldn’t be charged the annual fee, but I was charged finally. He told me because I canceled after I bought it 7 days. You can see the timeline. He didn’t do his work at 8/16 when I texted him. I have the proof.
When I tried to used my third session of training, A told me he never said he gave me one session for free.
Please go to other gym. The staff here lies. Don’t trust them. They just lie in front of you without any shame.

There’s no paper towels stations anywhere so people can’t wipe their sweat off . That doesn’t matter bc no one cleans off the machines when they use them anyways . I recommend wiping everything down before and after you use it . Also caught a rash from here . It is extremely dirty on the gym floor

Trash place. They have only 70lb kettle bells and they shrug their shoulders when you ask if they have lighter ones and say that’s what corporate gives them. I asked if they can put a ticket in for longer chains for the heavy bag and they said no idk shrugged their shoulders, argued with me for some reason on who or who didn’t raise the heavy bag, said they won’t put a ticket in for longer chains for one person. So what’s the threshold to put a ticket in? 5? 10? Dumb answer, I will probably order longer chains and do it myself. The dude just kinda walked away from me. I personally ordered weather stripping from Amazon and had it delivered here because the sauna was super leaky. It ain’t their fault, corporate seems to leave them high and dry. i wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to the LA Fitness location. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue when my membership did not show up in the system.

As a long-time expert fitness member, I was disappointed by the staff's inability to assist me quickly, especially given my time constraints. I suggested they look up my information using my ID, but that didn’t seem to be an option. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable with the way I was treated, which added to my frustration.

and at the end, as I was walking out, the Hispanic lady started mocking me saying oh no, you can’t come in.
I believe there’s an opportunity to improve staff training to enhance customer service, especially during peak times. I value my membership and hope to see improvements in the future.

WHY! why is there always a problem when I go to cancel a memeber ship the “manager”is never there. DO NOT waste your money on LA Fitness. Ever since they took over what used to be XSport, this gym has become a complete disaster. The AC hasn’t worked in weeks — it was 97°F outside and 98°F inside. You’re literally working out in a sauna. It’s disgusting and dangerous.

The equipment is always broken, nothing ever gets fixed, and the parking lot is a filthy mess. Management does nothing. They just take your money and ignore complaints.

And before they even think about denying this — I have photos, video proof, and even used a thermometer inside to show how bad it really is.

Yes there are broken machines and stair masters at the moment. Yes the pool/hot tub are still not working, yes the women's bathroom still smells weird, yes people can inconsiderately park in the structure, yes the pigeons still live there too, however, those are not my focus. I'm here for cardio and resistance training - there are still plenty of spaces to park, plenty of dumbbells, barbells, specialty machines, cable machines and platforms, and a pretty good HVAC system (not too smelly, hot, or cold).

My only annoyance are patrons who sit between sets chatting, or on their phones, dillydallying on a bench, platform, cable, or machine I need. Sometimes they don't put their weight away. That's gym etiquette/culture and that needs to change. Took off a whole star for that. I'm not sure if management can even fix that, depends on other individual factors. But fine, it's tolerable.

Also, this is the only 24 hour spot close by without me having to switch to Planet Fitness, and I really appreciate going/ending after 10pm (no other nearby LA Fitness is 24 hrs). Please don't change the time!

Update 3/16/25: Ended up getting a Planet Fitness membership (lol). I find it nice to have options and a cleaner gym once in a while. Wondering if the women's locker area where the ceiling is open will ever be fixed?

Update 5/25/25: YO! Noticed the hours changed on the weekend. Sad to see it no longer 24 hours but super thrilled to see PF invest in new equipment while still be 24 hours! Hot upstairs temp-wise as well...Still all good!

I've been coming to this gym for about a decade now and it's pretty great. The attached parking lot is big enough that I could always find a spot even at peak hours. I like how the pool and cardio area are separated by a floor from the large weight room and dance studio upstairs. It means I can section off my various fitness goals and hit each spot as necessary. They recently replaced all the padding on all the benches and seats in the weight room, so they're particularly nice right now (02/05/25). Overall I love this place and I keep my membership even as I switch to running for the summer just so I have a place to do strength training and swimming all winter. Best gym in town.

Equipment falling apart, bench press benches are legit broken underneath, barley any free weights, packed like sardines at any given time, equipment is not only falling apart but outdated as hell. Xsport is one of, if not the biggest gyms in chicago. Yet they have the funding of a small inner city school. Smells like the plumbing system is messed up daily, dudes sitting on bench just texting, and of course the aggressive sales tactics. Xsport only pays mind to their suburban locations. The gym lacks someone to look after it during the day. guide members, monitor the storage of dumbbells and whether they are using the equipment appropriately. If there was one person who did this every hour, it would be almost perfect. If you get hurt, none of the staff will know if you're okay or not, and another member will have to call 911. But I've been there at different times, and none of them found a clean bathroom.

I give the pool itself a 3 because every so often you will find this on the pool deck and even in the pool. What I like most is the width. It’s perfect for a guy my size that enjoys the butterfly stroke. The rest room really need like 45min increments of janitorial tapering. This is about a 2yr membership I purchased in Oct 22. At the 1 yr anniversary everytime I went in they said my membership expired. After explaining (everytime) I prepaid a 2yr, I got the same 'our computer program is outdated and doesnt acknowledge the 2nd yr) and they let me in. Its just become a hassle. It is absolutely sad that a gym is this unclean and unsanitary and it is extremely disappointing because it is the only 24 hour gym that is near my home but this is completely unacceptable for a shower area in a gym locker room to be this disgusting! I have belong to a lot of gyms in my life because I really enjoy working out. This is the worst gym I have ever seen. It is extremely sad to see that people conduct their self this way in a establishment that everyone Has to utilize and it is even more mind-boggling that the staff of this gym allow this gym to look this way!

I'm only telling you how great my personal trainer Gabriel 'Gabe' is because my weekend appointment is locked down and you can't steal him from me. He is so friendly and smart and really goes the extra mile for his clients. He works with you to find out not only how to get a great, targeted to your needs workout at the gym, but also makes it his business to find out what equipment, etc you have at home to design daily unique workouts to do outside of the gym. You should grab a spot if he has any more avaliable!

What in the actual hell is going on here? Equipment is frequently broken and not well maintained. Machines are dirty and run down. If you’d like to do a certain weight on machines and you can not because a lot of the mechanisms to adjust the weight between 5-15 pounds are broken. I encountered 5 Pieces of equipment like this yesterday. 1/4 of the gym is blocked off with caution tape in various areas and various pieces of equipment throughout, so it makes it difficult to get a full work out in. There are not nearly enough sanitary stations and like 95% of people are not wiping down there equipment and no one’s enforcing it. You have to walk half way across the gym to find a sanitizing station as well and it Is ridiculous!

This morning, the brain-piercing fire alarm was blaring when I walked in. I asked at the front desk “Is this going to stop soon?”

“Probably not,” he replied, nonchalantly.

This is pretty indicative of the vibe here, which is a dumpster fire that none of the staff seem too concerned about.

This place is great! It has tons of machines, a good variety of classes and a lot of different amenities. I enjoy using the hydro massage or hydration pod after a good workout. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I take personal training sessions with Jose, he's very encouraging and you can tell he cares. I had an issue with billing at one point and brought me over to Kimberly who was extremely helpful and resolved all my issues. They both have great energy.

After seeing some of the reviews of this gym and its location, I felt I had to share my experience because the comments seems way more negative than my experience. (5/5)

1. Amazing price for ALL the amenities you are getting. This gym offers anything you could want from an upscale gym for a low price. (Sauna, steam, pool, courts, rock climbing, tanning, etc)

2. Specifically the Logan square location, I was greeted instantly and welcomed with a friendly smile. (I notice the staff at Logan square is way friendlier than other locations!)

3. 7 day free trial is a bonus. Really get to decide if it’s the right fit.

Personally, after signing onto a very expensive gym I actually find myself wishing I had the offerings at this gym.

I went here on a Sunday to tour the facility as I was in the market for a new gym after outgrowing my home gym. I called to see if I needed an appointment for a tour but I was told I could just come in. When I arrived to the parking garage, I loved how there was. I fee or time limit but I became concerned after noticing the decaying conditions. The garage could certainly use more lighting and signage for safety. I felt like the stairwell and elevator could especially be dangerous after dark since there were no cameras, call for help, or windows present.

After finding my way to the front desk, I stood there while two associates were present for 2 minutes before anyone noticed me because they were on their phones. Once I told them I called about a tour I was directed towards who I assumed was a manger but he never introduced himself, seemed distracted, and overall had an unprofessional demeanor. I ended up being passed along to another member of the team who was much more attentive and professional. He asked what my goals were, explained the different promotions, and gave me a tour. While touring, I noticed trash throughout and dust on the equipment. I knew immediately they skipped out on regular cleanings. The lighting in the locker room was dim but the steam rooms appeared to be functional although I didn’t get a chance to see if it was infused with aromatherapy or clean since it was in use.

There was also a self care area that had different rooms for different purposes. There were about 2-3 different rooms that were out of order but they had plenty of self tanning options, hydromassage, and other machines available. The gym seemed well equipped for my use but I couldn’t get over the lack of cleanliness and professional staff.

Machines on the first floor are ALWAYS broken or on the verge of malfunction. On the weekends the gym is disgusting; over flowing trash, unkempt locker rooms, and never paper towels in the dispensers. During the evening hours, forget it if you're trying to find dumbbells and are an organized individual because the children treat the gym like their mothers are going to pick up after them and re-rack their weights. Go to a better gym, trust me.

When I think of xsport fitness I think about a company who is supposed to have certain standards of how a gym operates and cleanliness, this is not what I experienced. Total honesty here we go. The walls are crumbling on the second floor literal broken tial on the floor next to the machines. The machines itselfs are old and outdated and I mean just about everyone of them are old and dirty. These do not get wiped down. The hot tub had dirty foam water floating atop and smelled of dirty bleach water. The pool itself was ok. My only complaint was that the floaters in there to separate when people swim are so dirty there's actually mold and dirt in-between them. These have not been cleaned for months for the dirt to build up. The steam room radiator is falling apart and has a sign that reads "do not put water on this or it will mess up the radiator". It also smelled very bad. But it's probably due to people not showering before entering the steam room right after working out. Unfortunately I cancelled my old gyms membership to come workout here. Big mistake. For the amount they charge for membership they should have the money to be able to keep this gym clean.

I just went to the gym here. and put the stuff in the locker after exercise Lost in the wallet in the cupboard Even though I locked the key well, they said that the manager would contact me back. But there is no responsibility. No body call me back.

I go here often because of the reasonable prices, and lack of other options in the neighborhood. However, it is not a female friendly gym whatsoever. I frequently see women being bothered by men, hit on or aggressively stared at and have experienced it myself. Frankly management should step up and do something about this to make it a safer environment for women, e.g. putting up signs of how women can let employees know about men who are being bothersome, signs on basic etiquette in the gym, removing memberships for individuals who act inappropriately,etc.

The equipment is also often broken for weeks without it getting fixed. If you can find another option, do it. If you want a gym that just ticks the box for a reasonable price and are fine with subpar facilities, this will fit your bill. If you’re a woman watch your back at this facility and avoid eye contact at all costs.

Update: the facility gave me an auto-generated response and did not implement any of the above or reach out about these comments, so do with that information what you will. I’d take your money elsewhere, they do not care about their customers.

To be honest I dont know where to start. Dont know which Xsport is worst Logan or Brickyard but I tried to work things out since I been a customer for years. Now is not worth it besides 90% of machines dont work there's theft.

On 6/23/23 I came in with my gym bag I worked out for an hour went back to the lockers. My locker was located by the showers come to find out my lock was broken. Yes, they broke my lock and took everything.

I then went to the front desk just to let them know they broke my lock and took all of my belongings. Guy named Najib Jay made the report I then asked to get a copy of the report said he couldn't provide or print copy. After telling him they took everything he specifically kept asking for one thing -my wallet. He asked about 4 times if my wallet was also stolen. Wouldn't be surprised if this was planed by their own staff. Why would you keep asking about my wallet and last I had to tell him to create the report he refused.

Im done with this gym they're all the same. Sucks bringing a lock doesn't make a difference they will still break into your things and I'm sure the staff has something to with it.

Very poorly managed gym. Definitely the worst XSport in the area. It's actually impressive how nearly 75% of the cardio machines do not work properly. There's about 5 people behind the counter to make sure people sign in but there is no one helping clean up weights or anything to help improve the current status of the gym. Cleaning the gym even once I week would be aassive improvement to how often they clean it now. Weeks will go by with the same trash littered across the gym.
