I am not a member, but if I were looking for a gym, I would choose this one. Two days a week I frequent places surround x-sport fitness, and as the weather has been nice and warm drinking water is a must, and as I always carry a water bottle with me. I stop off and ask the guys behind the counter if it is alright if I refill my bottle of water in the water fountain, and they have always been very cool about it. I refill the water head towards the door with a wave and a thanks, I just wanted to let them know I appreciate it on here. Thanks guys!

I have been a member for quite a while, so I have experienced a great deal with this gym. ***I've also paid for a two year (All Gym Membership)***
Pros:
One of my best experiences was being trained by Brandon (he no longer works here). He made sure keep everyone in his spin class working and he made the class fun. Heidi's WerQ class and Gabrielle's Zumba class are the reasons I still come to this location.

Cons:
The front desk staff does not greet everyone equally. If you're going purchase something you will not be able to get a receipt, when requesting a box of protein bars (on sale) they will try to charge you per bar at their exorbitant prices. Also they will try to act as if your trying to take more bars than whats allowed on the box, even though they should only be selling unopened boxes. I do not work at warehouse company, so I dont know how many are in a box. ***JUST SELL UNOPENED BOXES, quick fix!***
Cons: The shower handle is always broken, the outlets in the women restroom is blown, there are buckets to collect rain water, the free weights are never put away.
The place looks like it is rarely cleaned.

***I do understand it's a gym and you have to account for people, humans using all of the services. Not everyone is going to share the same cleaning habits.***

Would be nice if corporate added employees of different races and genders to the staff at Crestwood,
**** to assist with issues in the women's locker room***

I joined XSport just after the holiday in late December. I have been working with an awesome trainer and he designed a great workout plan for me. The gym features plenty of equipment and has an awesome pool that I use every other day for cardio. In the opposite days, I’m lifting weights and working different muscles each time. I’ve lost a ton of weight and I feel 10 years younger. It’s a great gym, loaded with amenities and a professional, courteous staff.

Been coming here for over 2 years they decided to cancel child care in the mornings. When in the afternoons it was always empty. Now there’s a wait time for childcare they don’t have enough staff even though they know it’s a problem. they can’t accommodate or understand their royal members. The so called manager didn’t even try to help out. When I asked to cancel my membership he didn’t hesitate. This place is becoming a joke. If you’re serious about your fitness this gym is not for you. Half of the machines are broken. When they have 2 people at the front desk just checking people in. It’s ridiculous.

I tried a 7 day pass. I’ve tried a couple gyms despite me having a gym membership elsewhere already. I didn’t care for this gym, such a tight space, foul odor might have been coming from the carpet, rusted/broke equipment. Not to mention didn’t witness one person wiping off their machine after use. I love the spin class with Brandon D. Taking his class was my first time taking a spin class and I’m glad I started. From the music to the choreography! You can guarantee burning a min of 500 cals. Coming to his classes was the best decision I’ve made. I never miss a class and it’s always packed. I hate that he isn’t here at three gym anymore

This location has been declining since opening back up after Covid-19. I’ve only kept my membership thus far because of the location and hours. They’ve lost several great trainers due to their skills and knowledge not being compensated enough or fairly compared to other trainers who lack actual PT skills. They’ve recently just lost my last favorite trainer Brandon! He kept the positivity, momentum, fun but challenges throughout the gym. Crestwood, please get it together! Treat your employees better or this location will continue to lose not only good workers but good customers too.

I stopped coming to this gym because of they're problems with the day care, either the lady in charge was very rude to my Lil guy or she was just not there. My kid panicked even by me saying let's go to the gym. Now there's this new girl in the mornings that always receives him with a smile and her daughter very friendly too! They even had a cookie day and all my kid wants to do now is go to the gym!!!! Brandon aka "Master P" is the most professional, dedicated, and passionate trainer I have ever seen. I make it my business to make it to his class on Saturdays and I don't mind spending all of my training sessions on him. He focuses and cares and shows me and others that his drive for health and fitness is first. He deserves the biggest race that this company can give him. I really like their group fitness classes. The instructors are excellent. The staff as a whole is very friendly. There's just always something broken. The sauna, the hot water heater, the AC, the hydro massage...it's literally always something. The self-service spa seems like a great deal, but again, something is always broken. And they could be cleaner. Specifically, more frequent cleanings of the bathrooms and the floors of the studio where the group fitness classes are. They could also do a better job having hand sanitizer available in more locations (and filling them!), refill the paper towel dispensers everywhere, and keep full bottles of the cleaning spray for use on the main gym floor and in the spa area. There's always a lot of staff at the front desk, it would not be a big ask to have them check these few things to make the experience better.

I signed up for a membership online, tried to get my key card today and they tried pitching a sale of a personal trainer on me multiple times after I made it clear I was not interested. I think after my initial time with this gym is done that I paid for I'm going to sign up for another gym that's in the area because the minute I am saying I am not interested in the extra amenities the pitch of the sale should have ended right there. Started going to this gym almost a month ago. The smell inside is awful. I decided to try and ignore it but the quality of this gym is severely lacking. Almost no one cleans the equipment after using it, but in their defense good luck finding a spray bottle that’s not empty. The woman’s bathroom is disgusting. The plug for the weight scale is plugged in to the outlet and is broken apart (wires are exposed). There is a huge roll of napkins by the sink hanging off of a makeshift plastic lining string. The roof leaks everywhere (make sure you don’t trip on the plenty of buckets they have placed around the gym to catch rain drops)… the list goes on and on.

A potato has more people skills than the guy working the desk on the weekends. But the real cherry on top…. I was willing to give the gym the benefit of the doubt until a “trainer” offered his personal training services “under the table” and he’s not even an official trainer there, just seems to hang out with the crew.. What??? Cancelling my membership.

been going to xsport for years, today was my last day. First, they get rid of towels a few years back, then ongoing smell each one I went to. Few weeks back there wasn’t any paper towels in the locker rooms or on gym floor to dry my hands after washing hands. All staff said cleaning crew isn’t here for another hour! That was about as unsanitary as it gets! Also all these fees they want to charge for upgrade, downgrade, cancellation. Staff isnt that bad, just can’t do anything for you but refer everything to corporate seems like other than trainers you don’t need them. Ive had enough it was a great gym at first but decline is too far gone for me. Hope you guys do and be better.

They blast ghetto music at night, it’s so annoying. Not everyone likes that kind of music, that’s the entire point of headphones. Why does my workout need to be disrupted by poor taste? If you wanna listen to that, fine by me, just don’t blast it throughout the entire gym and wear headphones like the rest of us. Also, people don’t know how to be courteous and rerack their weights when they’re done. The overall state of the machines/equipment is just dismal. There aren't many stations with disinfectant spray, and I notice way more people simply getting off machines without wiping anything down compared to other gyms I go to. Probably due to the inconvenience compared to places like Tinley Planet Fitness. The paper towel dispensers here are sparsely placed and old- sometimes you have to really work to get a paper towel out.

Some of the weight options on machines are stuck. They have one leg press machine and the foam grip on the left is literally missing with just bare metal there. I wish I had examined the equipment before buying a year here- I had assumed it was still upkept to the same degree as when I had a membership here years ago, and I was wrong. It used to be nice.

If you want to use yoga mats for any exercises, they have a studio you can use but there are only a couple of mats and they're so thin that they're useless.
There's usually only one working stair machine at any given point. The women's locker room smells like feet half the time.

It's depressing working out here. If I could get my money back for the year I paid for, I would. It's obvious that XSport doesn't care about this location in the slightest. Nothing says "get in shape" like dirty looking, unoiled machines that have the lining peeling off.

Members deserve better than what corporate has provided for this location.

This place is an absolute dump. Stay away at all costs. Signed up here two weeks ago and I have yet to see a dumbbell under 30 pounds in the entire place. Half the machines are broken or in terrible shape. I thought the stair master i was on was going to break down because it was making odd noises. The manager Ryan is more concerned about getting former employees memberships cancelled then keeping the place clean and having proper working equipment. Recently got into an accident that has put me out of work and obviously out of the gym. I called their Crestwood location and the manager at the time said he would handle it and cancel my account since I’m not able to drive. Fast forward weeks later and I’m charged again, I call in and new management says the account was not closed and I would have to pay a cancellation fee since I can’t come in to cancel. Extremely upset how this gym has been handling customers ever since covid restrictions were lifted. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK OR RECOMMENDING.

Tons of equipment, classroom was able to be used when classes were not in session.the trainers were friendly, but reception staff not as much. I started showing up with a cane due to health issues and received a comment about spending time with the grandkids. I came to workout at this location under the impression that my membership covered all gyms but I was only allowed to go to all Express gyms so I understand why they said I couldn't workout there, but then I ask to pay a day pass because I was only in Cicero for some military training only for the manager to tell me that they wont charge me a day pass because I was already a member and I would have to upgrade. Customer service here is a joke if I want to pay for a day pass i should be able to have that option dont force me to upgrade to use your facility when I will only use it once. The front desk girl was nice but that's about it. Not very welcoming and if this is how they treat military personnel I'm glad I just left. Zero stars.

They do not greet you when you enter and they never understand when you need something as simple as a print out for wellness reimbursement from your employer. Onetime I entered and the lady at the counter was so rude to the guy behind me that asked about free towels that he yelled at her out of frustration. The women’s locker rooms are never clean and this is disappointing.

I initially switched to Xsport because of the equipment options. I never had these issues at planet fitness.

9 times out of 10, the employees didn't know how to set up the tanning beds, so I could never use my membership (which cost extra!) Then when I asked how to cancel my membership, an employee says, "Giving up already?" Wow. Then I had to write a letter explaining (lucky for them, I simply said I'm moving) and it took MONTHS to go through! I was charged those months, too.

Eddie is a wonderful trainer who really wants the best for his clients. Will the manager is wonderful, Victor is a fine young man and I am so great full to be apart the XSport Fitness family.

If you are looking for a gym, XSport in Crestwood is not the one. First of all the gym is always dirty, machines are always broken, managers dress so unprofessional. Workers at XSport do not know how to treat clients. They tell you you can cancel but do not tell you that they will still charge you, or charge a cancellation fee. Not to mention works like to talk loud enough about other works for everyone to hear. I would spend the extra money and go someone else. Not to mention they offer unlimited classes for 10$ a month, but then NEVER EVER EVER have trainers to train them. Once the good trainers left they never rehired anyone. Even after asked by multiple people if they would have trainers for the classes. Responses always was yes and then you show up and the answer was no.Best decision I ever made was leaving this place. I cannot wait to call corporate Monday morning!

Disgusting. I do my work ,and i ask to used the tanning bed. They didnt even clean the bed in front of my eyes. They gave me a towel and told me what room to go tan at.... crestwood location is disgusting. I recommend matteson xsport over crestwood

Glad I canceled after reading these reviews. The vibe was off and it all seemed like sales, not passion. Staff also weren't tactful and dishonest about fees. Lastly, the week day class schedules didn't have morning start times. Xsport was very different back in 2007, great gyms then.

Decent prices. P.A.N hung up on me when i asked about the basketball courts on the basic plan and whole time i was thinking about getting the premium. Get better staff please. They are throwing off the vibe

Honestly I go to this gym and they need more workout equipment. Cause is not fair I’m paying good money to a gym where they don’t have that much equipment i used to go to charter fitness and they have more equipment then xsport and more cheaper I’m just being honest 💯.

Great that it's 24hrs. Convenient for parents of small kids. My son always wants to go to the gym after school. The floor outs crowded at times but that just means ppl care about their health. Would definitely recommend
