What a joke. I got 3-day free pass to check out the place but they refused saying you need to have a local state ID. No where in the website did it say so. Was thinking of switching to LA fitness but guess not.

Locker rooms are disgusting. Wood planks in the sauna are coming apart, sometimes it’s out of service for weeks. Many times, you’ll find used syringes in the showers and then find no soap at all. Swimming pool has been down for more than a month for “maintenance”. You would expect new ownership would step in and do something. But these guys clearly don’t give a shit.

Please fix up this place !!! This gym was pretty good when it was XSport. I had access to a variety of excellent aerobics classes, a pool, hot tubs, massage beds, etc.
Since LA Fitness has taken over, the gym has really gone down hill, declined badly, with run down machines, a closed pool and hot tub, minimal aerobics classes, massage beds gone, no spa services, even though my membership covers many services that are out of use. Where's the childcare for working parents!!!
I really hope they get this place fixed up soon. It's depressing...and my FAVORITE instructor Sam is leaving. I wouldn't be surprised if new management is the issue.
Do better LA Fitness!! No wonder people are leaving!

Love this gym, nice, clean and well equipped. My only complaint is the non stop music, I as a Muslim don't listen to music, so I get my headphones and listen to Quran. Other than that, a fantastic gym.

I don’t like the weekend hours but for 30-40$/mo, u can’t beat the facility. This location has a community hot tub so u can soak up some bubbles while waiting for the lap pool to open up a lane. I wish they had some jets in the hot tub for my sore bones but it is a monster tub with plenty of room.

Jose was fantastic! Helped me through the process my cancellation as unfortunately I have to relocate. The transition was quick and I felt very heard throughout the conversation. Would recommend coming to this gym as it has all its equipment and it’s a fresh start. Since it is being remodeled there are less people therefore less distractions. This was my home gym and wouldn’t have wanted to change that.

This gym has machines from 1955 the staff is rude and the amenities they talk about are old and gross. The basketball gym is not air conditioned, the pool is always out of service or dirty. Do not support this place. Also try and charge you for random stuff and then argue with you about it.

It's unfortunate what happened to this location. Before LA Fitness took over, it was a great place to workout. Since they took over there is no longer a working pool, hot tub, tanning booth, or a massage bed. Equipment is always broken or not well taken care of. Not to mention they greatly cut down on the hours they operate.

I come to this location often. I hoped with LA Fitness taking over things would get better. When equipment like treadmills etc are down for weeks that is one thing because there are multiple units to use. When the 1 sauna has been down for over a week that is a problem. The steam room also down today could use a good cleaning. Us customers do not get discounts when these rooms are down. Would be nice to see these fixed.

The club’s complete disregard for the health and safety of its members is completely unbelievable. The air conditioner has not been working for a full week and it’s 90° Somebody is going to get seriously ill or die from heat stroke in this facility.
The pool and sauna have been not working for many months. At any given time, there are five or six treadmills and steppers that do not work. The treadmills that are open for use sometimes stop unexpectedly or speed up while your on them. Someone will get hurt.
You don’t have a business if the equipment doesn’t work. Stop painting walls and fix the A/C and equipment!

It’s INEXCUSABLE to have the air conditioning substandard at a gym. At times, it works. At times, it does not. It was 86 degrees in this place today with no AC. I don’t know how that’s even up to code. The people at the front desk were sweating just sitting there. At times in February and March they have the heat on high when the weather is in between and they say they have issues with the heating system. The Basketball court has no ventilation it’s extremely hot. I hope this never happens but it would t surprise me if someone has a heat related health incident. It was only 86 today. What happens in July when it’s 90 degrees or more. I normally don’t write any negative reviews about anybody’s business it’s just not how I do things, but I’ve told the people at the front desk numerous times about the temperature and they just don’t seem to care. I’ve been a member at this gym since it opened as XSport almost 20 years ago and only for about the last year has this been an issue. In my opinion LA Fitness doesn’t want to put any money into this facility they have to be aware of this issue. I contacted customer service about the heat being on full blast in February and March several months ago. I feel like management could care less.

A little bit of everything always broken. Again. LA Fitness has made zero improvements since the changeover. Broken machines, pool closed, steam room closed, TVs gone, less than half of the cardio equipment has screens and less than half of those actually work, roof leaks, less open hours, shower heads dribble water, sauna is about room temperature. Someone did put up a piece of paper asking people to spend "a respectful" amount of time on the equipment, so there is that. So, essentially membership prices soar to double and triple the amount they used to be (if not more) for far less amenities (now there are none) and still have broken equipment.
Been here 10+ years and have zero intentions of renewing. Sad.

Ever since LA Fitness took over XSport, the quality has gone downhill fast. The steam room has been out of service, both jacuzzis don’t work, and the worst part—they’re no longer open 24/7. One of the main reasons people joined XSport was for the round-the-clock access, and now that’s gone. The management is unresponsive and poorly organized. I do not recommend getting a membership here. It’s not worth the money anymore.

I originally put poor rating on this location, because the location’s swimming pool has been closed for more than two months, it seems no ending to reopen the pool, and I did not know any status. But Niko, the manager of the location, emailed to me multiple times informing me that the county asked many fixes of the pool, the office is making the best efforts to make the fixes. I appreciate the status update and am looking forward to the reopening of the pool.

It really pains me to write this review as I've been loyal to the Xsport brand. Bolingbrook and Naperville were my home gyms and it's sad to see the merger with LA fitness become a catastrophic one. With the closing of Bolingbrook and the drastic changing of hours, I will not be renewing my membership. These plans of $40/month with limited gym hours was a big reason for me leaving. While the equipment and energy at this LA Fitness were adequate, the new changes of hours and pricing really deterred me from renewing my membership of almost 9 years. It is truly a sad sight to see.

Some staff can be accommodating. The ones that are in shape at least. Terrible place overall. Courts haven’t been waxed in years, hoops are leaning, and nets are ripped also there’s no ventilation whatsoever. Bathrooms are always bad and maintenance on gym equipment and the gym overall is terrible. $40 a month, you can bring a guest but guess what the guess can’t do. Get on the court or pool(disgusting anyway) without paying $20. I hope with all my heart that LA fitness address and fixes all the problems that came with the XSport. The only plus about this gym is 24hr almost every day.

FRAUD!!!
I have been member at this XSport fitness since 2017 and keep renewing my membership with "Buy One Year" and "Get One Year" Free option. I did not use the facility during covid and started back on 28-September-2022. I had 10 months left at that time but after talking to then Facility Manager he offered the same plan and I paid $449 to add two more years of my membership.
So, my mebership will be expiring on 28-July-2025.
Now for past couple of weeks, I started getting the phone call from the facility saying that XSport is sold to LA Fitness and my membership is expired and they can not honor the previous agreement because it was BAD DEAL SOLD BY PREVIOUS MANAGER WHO IS NOT THE EMPLOYEE ANYMORE.
I asked the guy to open the complain and transfer me to upper management than he said that he has NO ONE TO TRANSFER.
All he is trying to sale new membership which is FRAUD!!!

This place has literally never been anything to brag about. The main selling point is that they’re 24 hours, which isn’t even going to be a thing apparently since they’ve been bought out so I really don’t think there’s anything special about this place. The entire transition has been a headache also. As far as checking in, when things will be changing, and literally any detail at all about why things are changing no one at literally any level has been any help. I pretty genuinely think this place should just close if it’s not going to be 24 hours. And the reviews about it being gross are also true. From having “sanitation stations” with no towels nor sanitizer spray to the bathroom literally always being gross you’re guaranteed to leaving feeling pretty gross and that’s before your workout even starts.

This gym has a lot of negative reviews which made me hesitant to try it out. However, after seeing it in person, I did end up joining because there was a membership special that came out to $18 per month. Here are some pros and cons in my opinion/experience:
Pros: a wide variety of exercise machines. Enough squat racks and bench presses to go around. The pool is good enough and appears to be decently clean. There is a basketball court and studio room where you can attend workouts led by staff. All in all, it’s a solid gym. If you are looking for luxury, this is probably not for you. Oh, and lastly, it’s next to Costco:)
Cons: I have yet to SEE any staff member actively cleaning or sanitizing any of the workout equipment. The basketball court needs to be waxed asap. Weights are left all over the place (no clear gym etiquette expectations).
Super-Con: the bathrooms are a disaster. Seriously, there needs to be a show called “bathroom nightmares” so I can submit this gym. If you need to use the toilet, just leave and walk over to Costco.

If I could give this gym 0 stars I would!
I’m writing this review bc I’m completely disappointed and upset with the service and staff at this gym. How it's possible that my mom every day go to this gym with my little sister (she's 2 years old) and leave her at the daycare inside the gym. She’s completely ready on her potty training, she always asking for do pee or what she needs at home and that's the reason that she don't like to use diapers anymore. But inside the gym they never ask her about If she wants to go to the bathroom or something, today she had a potty accident and then they just decided to take her out of daycare and tell my mom that she can't bring her anymore just because it's the second time that she did pee on her pants. ¡she's a little girl! and if she’s playing she’s not going to tell you that she wants to go to the bathroom. I'm a teacher and I know that for experience. Btw my point is If my mom is paying for the daycare what the teacher or the staff are doing? If your Job is caring kids you need to pay attention on them not just gossiping with your coworkers! I don’t recommend this gym and this “daycare” bc it’s insane!

Disappointed is an understatement. I was visiting Chicago for a few days and wanted to keep up with my workout routine. Xsport was conveniently located near where I was staying, so I figured it would be a perfect fit for a day pass. Imagine my surprise when I was quoted a price that could practically buy me a month's membership at my local gym back home!
Looking for a more affordable option, I inquired about the advertised 7-day free pass. Xsport then hit me with another hurdle - you need an Illinois ID to sign up. Seriously? How does that make any sense? As someone visiting from out of town, that immediately disqualified me.
It's mind-boggling that Xsport would turn away potential customers like myself. Isn't good customer service about welcoming everyone who walks through the door, regardless of their residency? Wouldn't a free trial be a great way to showcase your facilities and potentially convert visitors into long-term members?
This policy seems incredibly short-sighted. Xsport, you're missing out on a chance to make a positive impression on out-of-towners who might become loyal members if they have a chance to experience your gym. Think about it - wouldn't it be great to have people return to Xsport every time they visit Chicago?
Instead, thanks to this ridiculous ID policy and outrageous day pass fee, I'll be sure to recommend my friends and family avoid Xsport altogether on their Chicago trips. There are plenty of other gyms out there that understand the value of good customer service and appreciate visitors.

I first started using this facility about 2010, when it was relatively new. Unfortunately its become a dump - many items of equipment out of order, and some areas - notably the stem room and sauna are frankly disgusting and unsanitary. You never see anyone cleaning, and it is common for a discarded item to be there for over a week, before it is eventiually removed. There are broken tiles on the walls around the swinning pool, (some fallen onto the floor (dangerous), and the list of broken things that have broken and never been repaired or replaced is endless. Neither of the water fountains at the pool side work (they are now rusty), the pump in the resistance pool gave up years ago, the waterfall feature over the hot tub stopped working years ago, the electronic scales in the male changing room also faile yewrs ago and were replaced by mechanical ones that simply don't balance properly. The steam room is out of action completely again. The changing room is littered with yards of used paper towels as the bins are overflowing. Altogether the Illinois Dept of health need to inspect - I think they would close it down...,

Now, this place hurts my soul. Lockers are broken. Stuff gets stolen regularly. The people who work out here don’t have proper hygiene. The steam room and sauna are disgusting. The jacuzzi is busted. Half of the equipment has rusted or has blood on it. The music is trash and the speakers are faulty.

I've been a member of Xports for two years now, and I've noticed that they've recently increased their prices. However, I'm disappointed to see that the quality of their equipment has deteriorated. For instance, they seem to have lost their 5-pound dumbbells and replaced them with a pair from Amazon. Additionally, many of their machines are showing signs of rust. It's frustrating to see prices go up without a corresponding improvement in the gym's maintenance.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service my father and I received at Xsport Fitness Club, specifically regarding the handling of his membership after his recent heart surgery. Our experience has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention.
Following my father's surgery, we sought to support his recovery by enrolling him in an exercise program at your facility. We approached the manager or trainer, who assured us that the necessary information had been processed and that all was in order. Consequently, I paid an initial fee of $54.95, along with a monthly subscription of $29.95.
However, upon attempting to access the facilities, my father was denied entry on three separate occasions. The staff claimed an inability to locate his information, despite our assurance that it had been entered into your system. Furthermore, they displayed a concerning lack of professionalism and empathy, refusing to engage with my father or provide any explanation for the discrepancy. This treatment was not only disrespectful but also detrimental to his well-being during a vulnerable period of recovery.
Regrettably, it fell upon me to personally investigate the matter, necessitating a two-hour drive to your premises. Despite my efforts, I encountered no acknowledgment of fault or apology from your staff. Instead, they exhibited further rudeness and indifference to our plight.
Compounding these issues, I discovered that we had been charged for an additional month's membership, despite the fact that my father had been unable to utilize your services. Subsequently, upon requesting cancellation, we were subjected to a further unjust fee of $10, with no reimbursement provided for the unused portion of the subscription.
This entire ordeal has been deeply distressing and has left us with a profound sense of disillusionment towards Xsport Fitness Club. The treatment we received is utterly unacceptable and reflects poorly on the professionalism and integrity of your establishment.
Moreover, I am deeply concerned by the discriminatory practice apparent in your treatment of elderly patrons. It is alarming to think that individuals in vulnerable health conditions, such as my father, may be systematically excluded from accessing the services they require for their well-being.

The roof is leaking in several spots, multiple machines are broken or covered in duct tape. It's always hot and humid which I don't understand that when it's winter. Weights always missing, equipment dirty. I like other locations but they're just farther away, and I signed up for a year. This location is going downhill, fast.

Do NOT sign up here. I canceled my membership of 5 years because I moved out of state, but they would not stop charging me. I tried talking to cooperate numerous times, every time I got reassured it would stop. But it didn’t. It got to the point where I had to cancel my debit card and switch banks. Did that work? NOPE!!! Since I used my credit card once to purchase a protein bar a YEAR ago, they stored my card information and now they’re charging that card. I’m so fed up, I’ve contacted the Better Business Bureau. Do NOT sign up here unless you’re fine with them stealing your money forever.

After being a member of Xsport Fitness for over four years, my recent attempt to cancel my membership has left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a nightmarish ordeal, highlighting the lack of customer service and integrity at this establishment.
Firstly, when I called to cancel my membership, I was informed that cancellations could only be done in person. Fair enough, I thought, until I was abruptly hung up on by a representative. Shocked and confused, I decided to visit the gym in person to sort out this mess.
Upon arriving at the gym, I was greeted by none other than the "Operation Excellence Manager," Sarah R, the same person who had hung up on me earlier. The irony of her title did not escape me, as my entire experience contradicted any semblance of operational excellence.
Sarah R's demeanor was far from professional, and her handling of the situation was abysmal. Instead of addressing my concerns, she displayed a dismissive attitude and seemed uninterested in providing any assistance. It became apparent that customer satisfaction was not a priority for Xsport Fitness.
I was shocked to learn about a $10 cancellation fee after recently paying my yearly membership at Xsport Fitness. The fine print hinted at a possible waiver, referring to a specific section and document. When I requested to see it, I was met with a dismissive response, being told it's my responsibility to know the details of my own membership and contract. The lack of transparency and unhelpful attitude regarding crucial information is deeply disappointing.
Xsport Fitness has failed on multiple fronts - from their unhelpful and rude staff to their questionable billing practices. It is disheartening to witness such a decline in customer service, especially for someone who had been a dedicated member for an extended period. I strongly advise anyone considering Xsport Fitness to think twice and explore alternative options that prioritize their patrons' satisfaction and well-being over profit.

Yet you’re closed at 7 pm on New Year’s Eve and don’t even update the website or notify your members.

Great staff, so much equipment. You'll never have to fight for a treadmill or a stairmaster. But there is only two rowing machines. There's several squat racks, even an assisted squat rack. A fake grass track with two sleds. A ton of cable machines and free weights. A monkey bar set with a grip pattern I've never encountered in my 25 year existence. There's ab machines I've never seen before and a specific piece of equipment for hip thrusts on the second floor. There's one drinking fountain on each floor, couldn't seem to find one in the men's locker room. But there are plenty of showers, soap dispenser doesn't always work. There's also a sauna, 4 lane lap pool, and two hot tubs. And foam boxes for box jumps. I'm missing a lot but you'll probably never get to use all of it theres so much. So many people in January. But it usually dies down on friday evening

If I could give zero stars I would. If you are a swimmer, stay far, far away from this gym. The pool is absolutely disgusting. Several times it looked like large pieces of skin were floating in the pool. I complained several times but no one cared. The managers are super young and could care less what you are saying. All they did was look at me and say ok. I emailed XSport but no one responded. I called but they won’t let you talk to anyone. I have a two year membership that I will not stay at. This is the worst customer service ever. Do not waste your money.

I love this gym, its big, has a ton of equipment. open 24/7. Affordable. Clean on their part. They do a good job keeping it clean and sanitized. I did my first set of training sessions and id do it again if i had the funds. Most likely in the future. Jack, one of the trainers id personally recommend, he's helped me zone in on goals to have, incorporate good eating, has coached me to build muscle and good form. I definitely see and feel improvements on my stress management,
sleep, strength, metabolism and so much more in a very short time. But they all seem very knowledgeable for every level beginner to advanced.

I always wanted to try working out with a personal trainer, so I signed up here. What a nightmare it turned out to be! From charging my credit card incorrect amounts, to my trainer leaving halfway thru my 12 weeks, this was not the experience I expected. Long story short, I tried speaking about the issues with the manager, but he ignored the fact that I was even there to speak with him. I don't have to spend my money at an unprofessional place where the employees (some, not all) behave as though the training sessions are free, and they're doing a favor by meeting with you (my experience)! Needless to say, I have canceled my membership and the personal training, which is a whole other nightmare. Never going to do this again!

I am a member of this gym since they opened their doors on 2005. Over all good experience throughout years however in last two to three years the service went down drastically specially sanitation. Dirty equipments, dirty mirrors and super dirty bathrooms and I was so close to shift to Lifetime. Luckily a young determined and hardworking gentleman by the name of Luke joined the management team most recently and ever since everything is improved dramatically. Much cleaner equipments , mirrors and bathrooms. I noticed he constantly making sure everything is neat and clean. I was so impressed by his hard work that I offered him to buy his lunch and he refused. I am writing this review to thank Luke and appreciate his hard work.

Gym is ok. Equipment is a little dated but they have all the equipment you need for a great workout. Their treadmills are a but noisy and unstable. I typically use the treadmills near the basketball court because they seem to be very sturdy and make minimal noise when running on them. Overall the gym is enough for me to get a good workout in. Good gym and there are many great staff members. It takes a lot for me to write a review, but I figured I should make a complaint to help make future operations better. The manager at this location is always flustered and gives attitude to customers when they enter the doors. I understand that there is many people that may sneak clients into the gym. But each encounter I have had with this manager during ringouts for a protein product or pre workout I always feel like I am a problem. I brought a friend in to the gym as I pay for the premium package to allow my friend a free pass, and the manager got upset that we walked in without checking him in and yelled at us saying we need to check in. Even after I stood in line to properly check my friend in he stared me down as if he was going to kick me out of the gym. As…
someone who works as a Nurse and care for dying patients on the daily in the icu and a previous trainer at a gym location in oswego, this managers actions are truly ridiculous. Many trainers at this location will agree that he is always heated and angry. Unacceptable behavior from a manager.

Overall not an awful gym, 2 stars due to the corporation. If you are a student that goes to school away from home don’t get a membership here. Kids club is not clean, limited hours.
The employers are nice only when you tell them that you are interested to sign up, otherwise not rude but careless.
Not happy that you have to pay $10 to close your account with them. I mean, not only that you have to take your time and come in person to cancel your membership, but they charge you for what? to process? to process what? clicking a button to stop the membership? that's just ridiculous.
For a mom with a baby for not having the option to call and cancell is very inconvenient.
And of course when you sign up, they don't tell you that you will be charged $10, they only tell you that you can cancell any time, and the process is just so easy.

Stuff breaks here all the time and I mean ALL THE TIME. Everyday their is a different machine broken they fix it in a decent amount of time. Mens steam-room has been broken for a month, I called them 3 weeks ago and they said they ordered the parts but yet its still broken. Its a good gym for the price and has everything you need. Only reason its getting 2 stars because their making A LOT OF MONEY $$$ And not upgrading the equipment. Only upgrades I seen was the cardio equipment what they already have 50 machines for. They need start spending the money in the right places* A lot of the weight equipment gets broken or really worn down. Spent 10,000$ on more cardio equipment while they could upgrade and fix couple things in the weight room for a quarter of the price they spent on new cardio equipment 👎

Overall, this location has a lot of equipment that you won't find at other XSport gyms. What has made my experience even better was training with Sasi, who has been very helpful and an important part of why I've been able to progress in my fitness goals. He doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but instead tells you what you need to hear, and that is worth so much more in the long run. While training with Sasi, I've been able to achieve some of my fitness goals because he pushes me to do more, even if I think I can't.
Sasi is the reason why I give this location a full 5/5 stars, and I think that this gym would benefit from having more trainers like him!
