I’ve been going to the Tinley one ever since the Matteson one had HVAC issues, but started coming here instead. The vending machines have better snacks here, and the route I take is close to Cultivate.

One of the best parts about going here is that people aren’t always using that jacuzzi here.

This gym is great. I highly recommend signing up with Brandon hes very professional and takes pride in his job. He answered all the question I had in regards to my fitness journey and overall questions about the gym. He’s top tier.💯It’s super clean they have plenty of equipment. Staff is super friendly. Women’s locker room is always clean when I’m there and hot tub is super relaxing. One more thing they have cleaning stations all around and there always fully stocked so It’s nice having access to be able to clean equipment yourself before n after each use.

Cancelled my membership after being there for 2 days. I asked repeatedly, “I am not going to get charged the annual fee”. The answer every time “no”. Keep eyes on your credit card with this place. I know it’s kids running the place, paying them the least they could get away with because of corporate greed. Planet Fitness down the street is better, cleaner, cheaper, etc.

Went to redeem a guest pass, and was told that I needed an in-state ID, despite the fact that the website simply said that proof of being at least 18 years old was required (nothing about needing it be an Illinois resident).

For the past 2 months, the "leather" cover on both seated biceps machines is and has been substantially torn on both the left and right sides where your elbows are placed and digs into your elbows when using said machines. 2 months ago I reported it to the manager of this club and placed a repair request. To date, the repair has never been made. 2 months is more than sufficient time for any fitness facility to get equipment repairs done! About 2-3 weeks ago, I called LA Fitness corporate office, reported this neefed repair issue and corporate agreed this was not acceptable and represented the repair would be immediately done. Again, to date, the repair has never been made. The front desk claims LA Fitness & Xsport has only 2 vendors that make repairs & other clubs have more equipment and therefore the other clubs have repair priority over this location. This is not an acceptable response. First, members at this location pay the same dues as other locations and there is no just reason why other locations have repair priority over this location. Second, if LA Fitness has failed to hire a sufficient number of repair vendors, then it needs to hire additional repair vendors. LA Fitness' failure to make simple machine repairs is not acceptable and shows a lack of corporate responsibility, an unwillingness to maintain this fitness club and its equipment and a lack of concern for its members.

I was only a member here for a month before deciding to cancel my membership. The two stars is for how easy it was to cancel. Had it not been so easy to cancel, my one star review would be attributed to the cleanliness and over quality of the gym—which was awful. The first morning I came to work out at 5:15am, right after they opened, and the heat was on full blast. Running on the treadmill was near impossible since the cardio equipment is all located upstairs and with the heat rising, it was sweltering. Each time I came to workout, there was no soap in the soap dispensers in the locker rooms and the sinks continually had visible hair piled up in them for days on end, making it clear they weren’t being regularly cleaned.

There were some gross things I noticed when I initially signed up, like a smell in the locker room and the pool equipment being pretty gnarly, but since it was so close to my house and I’m typically a get-in and get-out kind of exerciser, I decided I could put up with some minor red flags. In the end, however, those minor red flags turned out to be an accurate reflection of the care that is taken here. It was no longer worth the price or proximity to my home to leave each workout feeling grossed out about yet another issue, and even though I paid both the initiation fee and annual fee on top on the one month of membership, it was worth it to never step foot in here again.

Great, friendly staff and friendly members!😀 However, for a so-called "Signature " club, you're paying extra for cheap shampoo & conditioner, and 1 extra lane in the pool. Decent equipment and a decent sauna.

ANYONE CONSIDERING MEMBERSHIP WHO VALUES THE USE OF THE POOL, LOOK ELSEWHERE! The pool has been closed for ALMOST HALF of 2024 for a myriad of reasons. Each time, it's usually closed for about 4-6 weeks, with mgmt giving me a new excuse every other week why it's still closed!🤔 When I call corporate regarding these shutdowns, they're friendly, but never get results.

The gym is nice and clean and never gets crazy busy, even at night. The pool is nice and the locker rooms are a nice size but the thing that keeps me coming is my personal trainer Jake. He is one of the best trainers I had and is super knowledgeable and flexible with my workouts and I can't recommend him enough. Tinley Park location clients bring guns and had shootouts in the parking lot as seen on the news.

I really wish this club was reachable by public transportation (PACE). It is so much better than the Tinley Park location. It is clean and organized. Overall great gym, way better than the Tinley Park location. Went here for a year before moving and therefore canceling my membership. Stopped going here about a year ago, starting coming back and nothing has changed… the front desk staff is unfriendly and tend to just been teenagers socializing with each other… the bathrooms are always filthy and out of soap yet there’s always someone in there cleaning…. The classes never seem to start on time and I stopped going because they never seem to evolve. Would like to see them step up in crowd control and offer locks for free usage to minimize kids walking around with backpacks and other patrons “holding” equipment with their keys, jackets, and water bottles… also would like for the staff remind patrons about grunting, wearing shoes, and dropping weights. The only reason I went there yesterday was because I wanted to use the sauna… which was out of order… hopefully for routine maintenance, but overall disappointed with my visit. Giving two stars because it’s obvious that the manager does seem to care or they wouldn’t have janitorial staff present and a fully staffed front desk, additionally the instructors for the classes are by far some of the nicest people you’ll meet.

The gym room is pretty clean. They don't offer towels. All the soap dispensers contain a horrible smelling soap that doesn't make me feel clean when washing my hands or in the showers. The pool is filthy and almost always full of senior citizens that monopolize the pool for multiple hours at a time. The hot tub is also filthy with mildew on the grout and band aids all around for days at a time. The faucets are all sensor activated and stay on for just a second or two. This place is pretty gross and disappointing. Such a bummer.

Genuinely disappointing, I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years regularly, and 5-7 days a week for the last 2 months. I come here for the additional amenities like hot tub and sauna which some other CHEAPER gyms lack. Hot tub has been sporadically working for over a month now. 50 percent of the time it’s outright cold, sometimes it’s completely closed, and the rest of the time it’s functioning as intended. I love this gym and want to keep coming, but I’m going to end up canceling my membership and going somewhere cheaper if I can’t rely on some of the amenities that I’m paying for to be functional.

Jim has been harassing me and my Husband since we signed up for the free pass. He calls and leaves voicemails everyday, even when we stated we are not interested at this time, he just will not let up neither will he take NO for an answer. When we visited the Gym, He became very irate and frustrated when we were not interested in a gym membership and wanted to try out the gym first, so he decided to turn us away and told us if we do not pay $20 we can't stay. Through every question we asked Jim kept cutting us off and was very nonchalant. Jim and his associates are very RACIST and have a hard time accepting people of color into their Gym. Luckily when we called the corporate office to complain, since we traveled a far distance to get there, we were still able to burn off steam. Jim and his associates failed to apologize to us still even when we left the gym. But that was the last time and we will NEVER RETURN! Good Luck with these people. They are very unprofessional

They have a good variety of equipment. The gym is usually filthy. The men's locker room is always filthy. The garbage cans are frequently overflowing, the showers have black mold in the grout and once there was blood on the floor in the men's locker room for three days before it was cleaned up. This could be a great gym but the management is too lazy to do their job and make the staff do theirs. It's not uncommon to see three or four employees gathered at the front desk watching movies on a laptop instead of actually doing their job.

By far the best LA Fitness in the area, since I joined 4 years ago I've gone to the Joliet, Naperville, and finally the New Lenox location. I won't even bother to get into the cleanliness complaints that other reviews mention. Right now, I'm still steaming about how difficult it is to end a "hassle-free" month-to-month membership. (I'm writing this review while STILL on-hold with their toll-free customer service department.) When looking for a gym, keep in mind that at some point, you're going to want to end your membership -- LA Fitness uses every sneaky trick in the book to ensure this is the most painful process it can possibly be. Their first recommendation is to print, sign, and mail a letter to their corporate office. When weeks/months elapse and they continue to charge your membership fees, they deny receipt of the letter and require you to physically come into the gym to cancel. Their website/app can accept payments/applications, but somehow it's suddenly not secure enough to accept termination requests? Anyway... When you arrive, you're turned away because apparently only a manager can accept your request, and they're only on-site until 3:00p. Challenging for those of us who work during the day... Returning the next day (before 3:00p), we're told that managers only work on weekdays -- whoever oversees the gym on weekends is not capable of handling this paperwork. Yet another return trip is required to submit our request, and by this time, they've conveniently charged another month's membership fee, as well as another annual fee! As you might have guessed, the manager isn't capable of providing any type of refund for the recent charges resulting from their terrible practices.

Edit: I gave-up after an hour and 43 minutes waiting for customer service. Consider this when signing-up. At some point, you will want to end your membership.

Be very careful as people here will lie and say you are not signing a contract but you are. When you have an issue no one contacts you for months. They will lie and do anything to get you to sign up for personal training. If you contact corporate they also lie and say someone from this facility will contact you which they don’t. Personally know about 5-6 different people that have gotten their phone stolen from the basketball courts. Mine got stolen yesterday and they still refuse to put up any cameras to discourage people from stealing. If you plan on going to workout here make sure to bring a bank sized safe to put your stuff in, or else, it will get stolen.

Really nice gym, clean, friendly staff and great swimming pool with hot tub, they also have a nice sauna and clean showers.
